The Emperor’s Speech

The other night, Emperor Palpatine gave his State of the Empire speech. You know, the Sith Lord from Star Wars. He channeled his Dark Presence right into the Capitol Building, where he transmogrified into our soon-to-be Galactic Emperor. I am far from the only person who noticed this, which proves I was not hallucinating. See for yourself.

Palpatine, from the movie:

The clone troopers, and proudly wearing the name of Imperial stormtroopers, have tackled the dangerous work of fighting our enemies on the front lines. Many have died in their devotion to the Empire. Imperial citizens would do well to remember their example.

Palpatine (nee Obama) from the Capitol:

Together, we offered a final, proud salute to the colors under which more than a million of our fellow citizens fought – and several thousand gave their lives… We gather tonight knowing that this generation of heroes has made the United States safer and more respected around the world… Imagine what we could accomplish if we followed their example.

Palpatine, from the movie:

Imperial citizens must do their part. Join our grand star fleet. Become the eyes of the Empire by reporting suspected insurrectionists. Travel to the corners of the galaxy to spread the principles of the New Order to barbarians. Build monuments and technical wonders that will speak of our glory for generations to come.

Palpatine (nee Obama) from the Capitol:

The defining issue of our time is how to keep that promise alive. No challenge is more urgent. No debate is more important. We can either settle for a country where a shrinking number of people do really well, while a growing number of Americans barely get by. Or we can restore an economy where everyone gets a fair shot, everyone does their fair share, and everyone plays by the same set of rules. What’s at stake are not Democratic values or Republican values, but American values. We have to reclaim them.

Palpatine, from the movie:

By bringing the entire galaxy under one law, one language, and the enlightened guidance of one individual, the corruption that plagued the Republic in its later years will never take root. Regional governors will eliminate the bureaucracy that allowed the Separatist movement to grow unchecked. A strong and growing military will ensure the rule of law.

Palpatine (nee Obama) from the Capitol:

The executive branch also needs to change. Too often, it’s inefficient, outdated and remote. That’s why I’ve asked this Congress to grant me the authority to consolidate the federal bureaucracy so that our Government is leaner, quicker, and more responsive to the needs of the American people… With or without this Congress, I will keep taking actions that help the economy grow.

Palpatine, from the movie:

The New Order of peace has triumphed over the shadowy secrecy of shamful magicians. The direction of our course is clear. I will lead the Empire to glories beyond imagination.

Palpatine (nee Obama) from the Capitol:

The state of our Union is getting stronger. And we’ve come too far to turn back now. As long as I’m President, I will work with anyone in this chamber to build on this momentum. But I intend to fight obstruction with action, and I will oppose any effort to return to the very same policies that brought on this economic crisis in the first place…. in this moment of trial, there is no challenge too great; no mission too hard. As long as we’re joined in common purpose, as long as we maintain our common resolve, our journey moves forward, our future is hopeful, and the state of our Union will always be strong.

Palpatine, from the movie:

We have been tested, but we have emerged stronger. We moved forward as one people – the Imperial citizens of the first Galactic Empire. We will prevail. Ten thousand years of peace begins today.

Cue thunderous applause – in both houses.

We’ve grown so used to rule by executive fiat, to “we must” this and “we must” that –  that it’s not much of a stretch to hear the softly sinister tones of Palpatine’s voice coming out of Obama’s mouth.

Or The Chimp’s before him.

Soon even the niceties of referring to “democracy,” the “Constitution” and “protecting us” will no longer be necessary. We will see naked force in all its glory, strutting once more upon the stage of history.

And most of us will clap, too.

Watch the speech and see for yourself:

Throw it in the Woods?

  1. Eric,

I had no idea that there were deleted portions of the various
episodes of ‘Star Wars’! The more I read your commentary the
more it was to me confirmed what I suspected of Mr.Obama from
the first time I laid eyes on his ‘congential’ face (I was
raised in Chicago’s Lawndale community and can remember when
Martin J. Kennelly was still mayor and most had not even heard
of Richard J. Daley!). I found out just how the masses are run
in any big city and heard all the maneuverings and manipulations
steered by Sidney Deutsch and Arthur X Elrod in the smoke filled
basements of those old synagogues during political meetings in
the 1950’s, before blacks were ‘allowed’ to have an alderman of
their own! (Ben Lewis, the first such one ‘allowed’, was murdered
mysteriously in his office one night in 1962. As I recall, it so
appears that the alderman was not such the ‘uncle tom’ he was
supposed to be and even had Richard J. Daley miffed about some
of his rebellions actions, though as with most things in politics we found out about all this years after he was killed!) Mr. Obama is the offspring of this Chicago-Machine political culture as is also the present mayor Rahm Emanuel selected and elected by this monolithic creation! I know “The City that Works” quite well, it has that title for a very good reason, and a damned good reason at that! I think I’ve argued the case for that assertion quite
    adequately.

But much more than a smoke-screen ‘foil’ for behind the scenes
power-brokers who conveniently use him to give authenticity to
the lie of the United States as the world’s model of democratic
equalitarianism, something much more sinister is at work here
    with this man!

Iv’e been aware of futuristic ‘prophecy’ since 1973 when I first
began to view Garner Ted Armstrong and Charles Armstrong present talks about bibical prophecy and have also become aware of even Herbert George Wells’ accurate novel “When the Sleeper Awakes”
written two years after “The Time Machine” was published. In it
over a hundred years ago he describes exactly the same tactic in
London that Moammar Gadhaffi used against his own people in Libya
    with African Mercernaries!

Now I don’t go so far as to say this president has ‘anti christ’ or ‘world dictator’ potential, but his bold statement about taking action with or without congress smacks of the Bush ‘War
by Executive Privilege’ agenda which to my mind appears near to becoming the law of the land and of this ‘World System’. The re-election of this person will not bode well for individual rights
    or peace!

    P.S.

Those who feel that only a handful of folks here are concerned about this issue should check out the You Tube Video “Obama is
a Puppet” by Eddie Griffin! And though Griffin refers to the
present occupant of the white house in terms I don’t approve of,
he certainly makes strong statemets apparently recieved by his
young mixed audience with amusing approval.

Enjoy it, that is if you care to!

night was the first such ‘allowed’!)

Obama is an offspring of that power-machine Chicago culture, I
know it very well! This culture which also produced selected and
elected by appointed the present mayor of Chicago Mr. Rahn. But more than a convenient token, smoke-screen foil used by behind the scenes power-brokers (who conveniently use Mr. Obama to give authenticity to the lie of the United States representing a model of equalitarian democracy to the world)he in my view represents something much more sinister and foreboding!

  2. I haven’t listened to presidential speeches for decades because they make me want to barf. I’m beginning to understand the constant praise of the military which has become a dominant element in speeches since Bush 11. Besides shadow government control by the military-industrial-security complex (so called “deep politics”), there is an urgent need to forcibly keep oil producing nations trading in dollars rather than in other currencies of their choosing. If any country is allowed to stray others will follow suit and the game is over. The dollar will tank and interest rates will go to the moon. Look what happened to Iraq and Libya. America’s response has was quick and merciless. Iran is next on the list for exactly the same reason. Washington is trying to goad them into a war through trade sanctions just like it did with the Japanese.

    • Worship of enforcers – cops, soldiers – as a special cadre of “heroes” is one of the defining attributes of an authoritarian regime sliding toward fascism.

It’s worth pointing out that such “troop” worship did not exist even at the height of WWII. But now, it’s a national fetish.

      • Yes, that’s what’s so agitating for me. The thoughtless submission, without even a moment to critically analyze things, is a debilitating form of worship. My own family, most of my wife’s family. America still produces a great quantity of output, but the quality is so sterile and unfulfilling now. In libertarian class theory, men accept a subjugation to a praetorian class. Philosophically men find Spinoza’s mens una, Rousseau’s general will, and the rule of law as completely equivalent.
These mental infantilities mean the death of America as we once knew it.

  3. Dear Eric,

    Another terrific article.

    The parallels are no accident.

In a 2002 Time magazine interview, Star Wars creator George Lucas explains:

“All democracies turn into dictatorships—but not by coup. The people give their democracy to a dictator, whether it’s Julius Caesar or Napoleon or Adolf Hitler. Ultimately, the general population goes along with the idea. What kinds of things push people and institutions in this direction? That’s the issue I’ve been exploring: how did the Republic turn into the Empire? … How does a good person go bad, and how does a democracy become a dictatorship?”

  4. A movie is a marketing vehicle, the Star Wars episodes like ’65-’70 GTOs. A cynic is more wise than most everyone else who believe in things that are false and submits willingly to evil.

If you find yourself annoyed by a freight train, a motorcycle, a crying baby, a truant gothic teen, a drunken father, a chain-smoking stripper, a smelly animal, a noisy business, and call the thugs with clubs and cages for remedy, I invite you to dig a hole, crawl inside, and pull the dirt down over you today. There’s eternal peace and annoyance free living to be found below ground for all you Post Columbian Artifacts and submissive effeminate CLOVERS.
The key is to remain a free-thinking individual, and not affiliate in any forceful alliance of any kind, not even the Jedi. The takers who wish to live off of others by use of soldiers, religious tyrants, and shadow societies are rapidly dying out because of low birth rates and stagnant souls.

I think of them as Post Columbian Artifacts, and believe that only the greatest Old Worlders are going to make it here in the New World after the American Monetary Collapse.

The human alchemists largely in control of the New World mainstream will enslave and enforce their beliefs on those of lesser technology and regiment for only a little while longer.
Let these soon to be dead men outlaw all personal vehicles, shut down the internet, and block all interpersonal trade.

Do not forgive, do not assist. Like any wild thing does, know and avoid the stench of treacherous pseudo-civilized men, that you will live long and prosperously apart.

Usurpers form ARMYS, but individualists avoid them in self-chosen groups of LEGGYS and walk away. Motorheads and bikers create WHEELIES who congregate and drive off alone to do things that are
none of a CLOVER’s or Post Columbian Artifacts’ concern.
Let the false rulers raise a global prohibition on all metal objects, sex, drugs, and free trade of every kind, the stench of these PCA lepers and degraded fawning CLOVER cattle will be even
    easier to smell and avoid.

You CLOVERS don’t exist for me now, and won’t later when the SHTF. I own a piece of the woods, throw whatever you like there, I can handle it and I don’t need you.

My backyard microwave foundry may soon be the only source of metal for 100’s of miles. My generators, lithium vaults and battery casings may be the only source of power in my neighborhood as well.

I don’t look at CLOVER faces now, and won’t later when reality hits and their green CLOVER dollars wilt and become brown dust right before cruel stupid green CLOVER faces.

CLOVERS deserve the surveillance drone / muslim chastity / prison workcamp suburbs the PCA is building for them to work within until they collapse and both become extinct.

    • Honestly, I think all the clovers will be happy in the FEMA camps. I bet they will be forced to be productive there! Just as a side note, I purchased a 30′ box truck today. I don’t really need it and am still not sure what the hell I will use it for. The deal was too good to pass up ($2,000). It has 114k on the clock and is a 3116 Turbo Cat diesel with an Allison tranny and dually on the rear (new tires on the rear too). Anyhow, I dropped the oil on it before I took on the maiden voyage (to my house) which is 50 miles. I was on the highway with the wife following. The front wheels/alignment are trashed (couldn’t beat 47mph without losing my fillings). I was only able to do 50mph at best on a 70mph highway. It was two lanes. There must have been a mile of clovers behind me doing 20 under the speed limit with me. WTF? All the while the left lane was wide open!

      • Oh I thought you meant that he literally said in the movie:
“The clone troopers, and proudly wearing the name of Imperial stormtroopers, have tackled the dangerous work of fighting our enemies on the front lines. Many have died in their devotion to the Empire. Imperial citizens would do well to remember their example.” and such
I see what you’re getting at though, and I really love the cover picture “Palp lead” XD

  5. It’s easy to see why he’s so successful politically. He speaks with the clear, ringing force of truth, stalwart leader, Horatio at the helm, his head slightly lifted as though he were looking across the entire country; add to this the fact that he’s handsome and cleans up good, and Boobus is carried away on wings of rapture.

Entirely missing the fact that 80 percent of what he says is without content.

And eff you, Mr. President, for so shamelessly using the State of the Union speech to Congress and the People as a campaign vehicle.

Just this morning someone posted in LRC that we’ve come to hate the current President more than we hated the last one. Well, Christ, how can we help it?

    What a foul bunch.

    • One aspect that fills me with an urge to spew bile is the servility of the audience – and the presumption of the speaker. Always talk of “leadership” – and its necessary corollary, followership. Always, the peremptory royal We. Never talk about respecting the individual, or addressing us as individuals. Rather, a herd to be led.

    • With one exception that i have seen: Reagan. While he was not particularly good, I think that his intentions were largely in the country’s best interest, or he played president better than he did in his movies.

      • I never met Reagan, so this is just an opinion that may be horribly skewed by a clever acting job – but he did seem sincere, even a bit naive. I liked that he got the soldiers the hell out of Lebanon, for example. And he seemed to want peace, rather than war, with the Soviet Union. Remember “Tear down this wall”?

Of course, I was very young then – and much less cynical than I have become.

        • Reagan put a number of interesting people into government offices. People who are still clearly on the liberty side. I don’t know if this was on purpose or an error. I tend to lead towards the former. Most if not all did not survive his first term.

Reagan had the CIA man, Bush the elder as vice president, and then Reagan was shot by the child of a family friend of the Bushes. Interesting eh? After he was shot I think that’s when he started to mostly if not entirely play ball.

Just in case Obama actually meant those things about “change” the powers that be got Biden as their backup QB. Of course Obama has done very well for those who matter, so he has no worries provided he keeps the present course.

            • So, let’s see. We’re “paranoid Paulbots” (whatever that means) but “Reagan was shot by a friend of the Bushs” (sic)…

And yes, I know the Hinckley family knew the Bush family. But going from that to John Hinkley shot Reagan on behalf of the Bushes… well, isn’t that a little paranoid?

          • I don’t know or assume there was a some sort of plan or anything like that but it goes on the pile of interesting coincidences throughout US history that don’t make the official narratives and the real relationships between people in politics that we are told not to think about.

          • I saw it a very long time ago. Back in the 1980s.

The CIA supposedly did all sorts of mind control and other ‘wacky’ things back in the day. CIA employees and their families according to the stories could be test subjects… But it’s all just stories.

            • Some of the stories are true, according to what’s been put in the public domain. For example, the MK Ultra program (use of drugs and hypnotic suggestion to create “sleeper” agents) and so on. I don;t know what exactly they are up to or have been up to, but I do know they are capable of anything and so I put nothing past them.

          • I read the link to Bush and Hinkley connection. To me it did not even say that they ever met. A financial supporter could define thousands of people that never met Bush.

        • Who wanted nuclear war with the USSR? You’re right, you must be too young to know what you’re talking about. Reagan was very, very much opposed to communism/socialism/statism in any form. Obama is statism pure and simple, dressed up with a happy smile by a benevolent Barry & Moochelle, who is going to prescribe what we knaves can eat and drink and soon, how many squares of toilet paper we will be allowed to use.

He got our troops out of Lebanon? Hmm, do you subscribe your the clownish Paulbot view of the world and US foreign policy?

Never disparage all war…..sometimes war is the best thing that can happen to a rotten situation.

      • I love Presidential anecdotes — little human interest squibs that don’t always make it into the history books. Like the fact that Jefferson in his lifetime broke both wrists. The saddest one I ever read concerned Reagan.

This was a short time before he died, when the Alzheimer’s was well advanced. The Reagans were packing up to move out of the ranch, and the household was in disarray.

While he was President, someone had given him a little replica of the White House. He’d put it in an aquarium they had in the study at the ranch. The packers were disassembling the aquarium, and Nancy came into the study and found Reagan over by the window, looking down at something in his hand. She said, “What’ve you got there, Ronnie?” It was the little model of the White House. He said, “I’ve got a feeling this should mean something to me, but I can’t remember what.”

Can you imagine? A two-term President, who had such an effect on the whole world — whether for good or ill — and this dreadful disease robbed him of his memory of all of it. How terrible.
