  2. Spiritual Refresher Course – Very Important

“There is a happiness in Deism, when rightly understood, that is not to be found in any other system of religion. All other systems have something in them that either shock our reason, or are repugnant to it, and man, if he thinks at all, must stifle his reason in order to force himself to believe them.”

“In Deism our reason and our belief become happily united. The wonderful structure of the universe, and everything we behold in the system of the creation, prove to us, far better than books can do, the existence of a God, and at the same time proclaim His attributes.”

    – Thomas Paine

Thomas Paine – The Age of Reason

    http://www.deism.com/theageofreason.htm

Deism is knowledge of God based on the application of our reason on the designs/laws found throughout Nature. The designs presuppose a Designer. Deism is therefore a natural religion and is not a “revealed” religion. The natural religion/philosophy of Deism frees those who embrace it from the inconsistencies of superstition and the negativity of fear that are so strongly represented in all of the “revealed” religions such as Judaism, Christianity and Islam.

Revealed religions claim to have received a special revelation from God which they pretend, and many of their sincere followers actually believe, their various and conflicting holy books are based on.

When enough people become Deists, reason will be elevated over fear and myth and its positive qualities will become a part of society as a whole. Instead of having billions of people committing nonsensical violence to promote myths of the “revealed” religions, people will be centered on their God-given reason which will lead to limitless personal and societal progress!

This is not a utopian pipedream. Deism has the potential to connect with every human being because every human being possesses God-given reason. Because of this fact, Deism clicks with the vast majority of people who are made aware of it.

This God-given reason, which is so dear and key to Deism, is the natural state of humanity. The superstitions of the man-made “revealed” religions are not the natural state of humanity. The cause of our God-given reason being overrun with these man-made myths and superstitions is very simple.

Active people promoted these falsehoods. Some of these active people were motivated by self gain while others were acting on ignorance. Since the problem was brought about by active people, it can be corrected by active people.

As the number of active Deists grows, our actions and energies will cause Deism to eclipse the “revealed” religions of the world and Deism will eventually, through lots of hard teamwork and altruism, replace the “revealed” religions. Humanity and the individuals who make up humanity will then be able to reach their full potential!

Deism offers you and your family and friends solid protection from cults. America’s Declaration of Independence is a Deistic document. The Bible and Koran paint a very evil and insane picture of God. The Designer of Nature is as real as the designs in Nature, plus much, much more!

  3. Any secular scholar or historian will confirm this:

The bible is mostly plagarized from other religions. The God of the Old Testament is Ahura Mazda.

The completely plagarized story of Jesus’ nativity was taken from King Ahmenotep III of Egypt which was found in Luxor. This king lived 1400 years before the birth of Jesus.
    http://www.stellarhousepublishing.com/luxor.html

This doesn’t mean God, Angels, Prophets, Jesus, or the Disciples are false or imaginary. What it does mean is the major institutions and religions that arose and maintain their parasitical existence are deceivers and use plagarized scriptures to falsely claim a connection to many of the great world spirits of antiquity.

    • Yup –

And: The Council of Nicea (called by Constantine, to determine what “official” Christian dogma was to be) arbitrarily picked and chose this – and left out that. Thus, the Bible is a hodgepodge of arbitrarily selected texts, the texts themselves written by multiple authors (none of whom were witnesses to the events described) jotting down their interpretations of events received at second, third or fourth-hand… these interpretations then translated and edited to such an extent that they are little more than rehashed fables. Some find beauty in the prose – and wisdom in the parables. I don’t deny either.

But it’s silly to deny the Bible’s tortured – and plagiarized – origins.

    • That was a very interesting video, thanks for posting it.
Gave me flashbacks to my Comparative Religions class in college:
All the world’s great religions are revelations from the same Supreme Being.

Also, I’ve often wondered about those Three Kings from the East for quite some time, that video sure puts a focus on things.

    • You wouldn’t happen to know why I can view this video here on EPA, but if I go to YouTube I need to download Flash Player to see it, would you?

Just trying to save the link for later, and it’s frustrating me to no end.

  4. What’s So Bad About Religion – Richard Dawkins

I am not anti-religion. I seek only to put it back in its proper place, and remove its hand from the levers of power. The worst thing about monotheistic religion is its basis in force. Monotheism is a lot like communism. It promises a better and more equitable system by appeal to emotions and base instinct. It seeks to delegitimize existing rulers and religions and assert total control over all people in a system of total authoritarianism. Once it attains control, it always initiates a nightmare bloodbath, sapping the potential of its surviving population and greatly diminishing its prospects.

Consider music by contrast. It is every bit as complex and spiritual as monotheism. It fulfills and uplifts a great many more people than religion ever has. But it never goes to war against poetry or theater. It never devolves into warring factions where polka devotees seeks to kill disco enthusiasts.
It seeks no state protectors to initiate force on its behalf. It is unconcerned with your opinion of it. It proceeds without fear, confident it will continue to thrive regardless of your opinion of it.

  5. Unlike the prophets, Jesus, or the disciples. Modern Christians have decided to become stationary institutions. No traveling about and living on the road and in the homes of others.

Christians see themselves as deciders. Their God no longer calls them to protest human authority. Now He only asks them to vote. The Christians have no issue with barbarity of the USSA. They only quibble over technicalities.

Take the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) for example. It is the largest Protestant body in the United States, with nearly 16 million members as of 2012. It advises its congregation to cast your ballot for the candidates whose principles most closely adhere to biblical values. What a laugh, as if any available candidate adheres in any way to even a fraction of biblical values.

Politically and culturally, Southern Baptists are socially conservative. They oppose the use of alcohol as a beverage, even though Jesus and the prophets all drank wine. They worry about the 3% of people who engage in homosexual activity. They have no concern for children other than opposing abortion. They never oppose the warmongering or killing of so many innocents for reasons of power and control. The Southern Baptists are worse than useless when it comes to taking a principled stand for the proclaimed beliefs of the scriptures they pretend to uphold.

The SBC instead concentrates on vapid perpetuation of suffocating traditions. It’s a collectivist model it believes every American husband and wife must follow the traditional gender roles. It never thinks for itself, but is always reactionary to things it doesn’t like.

The SBC marriage relationship claims to model itself on the way God relates to his people. Then in contradiction it erects a vast multitude of behavior bureaucrats and committees that deliberate over everyone’s conduct. Not how God operates at all.

A husband is to love his wife as Christ loved the church. A ridiculous claim, when their church is a alms house for the rich sermonizers instead of a ministry to the poor. A man has the God-given responsibility to provide for, to protect, and to lead his family. A wife is to submit herself graciously to the servant leadership of her husband even as the church willingly submits to the headship of Christ. She, being in the image of God as is her husband and thus equal to him, has the God-given responsibility to respect her husband and to serve as his helper in managing the household and nurturing the next generation. They then contradict all of this and say the man must serve their bureaucracies and proclamations of its committees.

The Bible is the final word, says the SBC. Statements of belief are revisable only in light of Scripture. Empty words, these are. The SBC ignores the treatment of already born people, it concerns itself only with beings at the moment of conception, loudly announcing that these are already new beings who have enter the universe.

Human beings, created in God’s image. But what does the SBC say about all the prisons full of these beings? Or all the neglected and abused by authority beings. Not a single word, is what it says. It defers to all authority as coming from God itself. Even kill squad alpha, and the hellfire drone rangers.

In all cases, people are to submit to rigid historic principles. Principles that are never examined to see if they serve any beneficial purpose for members. Nothing new can be learned. No leader worries that dogma is served above the people. Everything is pre-ordained and centrally planned in advance long ago, just get yourself up to speed with it, they say.

In matters of sexuality. The SBC asserts God’s plan for marriage and sexual intimacy β€” as that of one man and one woman, for life, through matrimony. Homosexuality, extra-marital sexual relations, and polyamorous relationships are not seen as valid “alternative lifestyles.”

The SBC never addresses the fact that all relationships discussed in the bible were “polyamorous” relationships between one man, and mulitiple wives.

The SBC is only a parasite on the body of Christ, it never liberates anyone. Historically, whites in the South required that black churches be under the supervision of white ministers and associations. In churches with mixed congregations, blacks were made to sit in segregated seating, and white preaching supported Biblical interpretations that slaves should accept their places and try to behave well toward their masters. No one spoke up when ever human laws contradicted biblical law.

No change happened in the SBC, even as the relationship between whites and blacks changed drastically during Lincoln’s southern holocaust. After the Civil War and emancipation, blacks wishing to practice their form of American Christianity away from racial discrimination and attempts by whites at control, were forced to move to form their own congregations.

Those former human chattel who interpreted the Bible as offering them hope for deliverance, and for their own Exodus out of slavery, were made to form their own congregations that reflected the new reality, the SBC didn’t change one bit.

    – – – –
The typical inhuman institutional-serving, useless, and rent seeking Christian “values” of the Southern Baptist Convention. In collaboration with the CIA, the UN, Crony Corporations, and other major world power brokers.

  6. One huge problem with most religions? They all seem to be be structured as pyramids of parasitism. A few privileged and powerful at the top. A multitude of brainwashed looted producers at the bottom. Just like political pyramid schemes.

You never hear of the Christian Ironworkers Congregation. Productive men who build vast structures for the good of mankind because of their love for Jesus. Or the deacon doctors. Who heal and minister to the sick at minimum wage and live a spartan life, out of their reverence for the healing ministry of their Lord & savior.

No. Religion is always Pastor Pete and his multilevel marketing scheme. Pete is the charismatic salesman. Below him are 10 salesmen. Below each of them are 100 salesmen. Below each of them are 1000 salesmen. That means a million scriptural salesmen who live off their repetition of “the word.” Pete is at war with his pastor competitors Reverend Robert and Saint Steve, both of whom differ only in technical differences, being alternate pyramid schemes the same as Pete’s.

The pastoral parasite class demand supporting resources and free labor so that its scriptural salesmen can thrive while producing nothing of value on their own. Salesmen who need more sales-churches to be built. Salesmen who need more territories, more ministries be carry out to bring in more glory and more renown for those at the heights of the pyramid, so they may continue to reign.

  7. [Morality] Refresher Course – Very Important

β€œI love [the people of] this country, it’s [their mentality and] the government I’m afraid of”

The cloverbeast cannot be defeated in the world, because the cloverbeast is within ourselves.

The collective fantasy that there exists a β€œnull zone,” where morality magically reverses itself, called β€œthe government” is exactly the same as the collective fantasy that there exists a β€œnull zone” called β€œGod” where reality reverses itself.

The three leaves of God the father, God the son, and God the Holy Spirit must be let go. Christian morality must be re-examined and rebuilt from the ground up.

The three leaves of the Executive branch, the Legislative branch, and the Judicial branch must be let go. Constitutional morality must be re-examined and rebuilt from the ground up.

Our churches and our governments have been built by mere mortals. If we define β€œmorality” according to the subjective fantasies of mere mortals, then it will forever remain under the manipulative control of power-hungry tyrants.

Since God as constructed by mere mortals does not exist, anyone who speaks about morality in relation to God is just making up definitions to serve his own purposes.

Since β€œthe state” as constructed by mere mortals does not exist, anyone who speaks about morality in relation to government is just making up definitions to serve his own purposes.

Until we can define an objective and rational morality that is free from the subjective whims of each individual, we will never make the kind of progress that we need to as a species.

Morality, like physics, biology, geology and chemistry, must join the realm of the sciences if we are to flourish – and indeed, perhaps, to survive at all.

However, if we can sustain our courage, it is this discipline alone that can set us, and our children – and all humanity in the future – free from the tyranny of the greatest cloverbeast: our own moral illusions.

The first step is the formation of libertarian communities. It is from within these groups that the people of higher discipline and principal adherence will emerge. Those who will be able to nake the next giant leap for mankind.

    Who is a libertarian?

    Non Aggression Principle (“NAP”)

    “Non Aggression Principle”:

A libertarian is a person who believes that no one has the right, under any circumstances, to initiate force against another human being for any reason whatever; nor will a libertarian advocate the initiation of force, or delegate it to anyone else.

Those who act consistently with this principle are libertarians, whether they realize it or not. Those who fail to act consistently with it are not libertarians, regardless of what they may claim.

Few modern libertarians have yet achieved this ideal. They are better called proto-libertarians. They still clamor for the state for protection from criminals, immigrants, and those of deficient morality and civility. Only those who see non aggression as the highest and completely inviolable principle regardless of the cost
will be deserving of the label – libertarian. Living practitioners of libertarianism are needed to join those who merely philosophically comprehend libertarianism, yet do not strictly adhere to it.

Libertarians must become moral scientists and a moral caste of non aggressive behavior. Men who both espouse and exhibit Universally Preferred Behavior.

Summary of the core arguments for morality.
1 Reality is objective and consistent.
2 β€œLogic” is the set of objective and consistent rules derived from the consistency of reality.
3 Those theories that conform to logic are called β€œvalid.”
4 Those theories that are confirmed by empirical testing are called β€œaccurate.”
5 Those theories that are both valid and accurate are called β€œtrue.”
6 β€œPreferences” are required for life, thought, language and debating.
7 Debating requires that both parties hold β€œtruth” to be both objective and universally preferable.
8 Thus the very act of debating contains an acceptance of universally preferable behaviour (UPB).
9 Theories regarding UPB must pass the tests of logical consistency and empirical verification.
10 The subset of UPB that examines enforceable behaviour is called β€œmorality.”
11 As a subset of UPB, no moral theory can be considered true if it is illogical or unsupported by empirical evidence.
12 Moral theories that are supported by logic and evidence are true. All other moral theories are false.

The rarest libertarians of all are the Ron Pauls or the Eric Peters. Those with publicly observable histories of adherence to Universally Preferable Behavior.

Though it may be claimed either Ron or Eric deviate in small instances from strict libertarian theory, their great accomplishment lies in their adherence to strict libertarian conduct, a much more difficult standard to maintain.

A standard which is exceedingly rare to find a living examples of. One mainly finds only mythically embellished and sanitized “founding fathers” and “ancient philosophers” from the distant and unverifiable fog of the unbelievably noble and pristine past.

      • You lost me here, Tor:

“The three leaves of God the father, God the son, and God the Holy Spirit must be let go. Christian morality must be re-examined and rebuilt from the ground up.”

        must be? Once.
        must be? Twice.

Is must be = to force?

        Seems like it.

I wish you guys weren’t so hung up on religion, or should I say anti-religion?

It’s about the only difficulty I have with many of you.

Other than that, it seems like we’re on the same page.

Perhaps it’s because you percieve this realm as reality while others think the ultimate reality is next?

Anyway, that’s too deep of a subject via text for me to want to jump into this any further.

        • I’ve gone both ways, Downshift. Came from a lapsed Christian family who returned to their Christian roots when I was about 13; then turned completely against Christianity in my 30’s when I saw what dens of hypocrisy and statism the “churches” are.

And here I am. I’ve come to realize a completely reductionist view of the Universe is probably slightly arrogant, considering we know just about nothing of how it actually works…so I’ve accepted I’m fallible and don’t know everything.

When I read studies like that recent cosmic-ray observation, implying the universe is a construct of some type with an underlying “granularity”–almost like pixels, finite and indivisible elements–I wonder.

I think that sense of the numinous, the wondrous, that’s innate to humans is hijacked by organized religion which itself is a construct created by power-mongers to control the population…and simultaneously destroy that sense of wonderment and beauty.

Please don’t misread me–I slam on the Christian churches from time to time, but the idea of something greater behind the reality we perceive isn’t foreign to me.

I just revile the hypocrisy, the lying, the control-freakism, and the collectivism present in most churches, synagogues, and mosques.

I suspect many libertarians feel the same way. We shouldn’t, however, allow that rejection of churches as organizations to get in the way of intellectual honesty.

          • Tor wrote, “Please don’t misread me”

            Perhaps I did.

To top it off, I think I’ve either been food poisioned from bad beer, or I’ve got the flu, or both?

            Thanks for the replies, all.

        • Hi Down,

          Speaking just for me:

          I don’t know.

          And neither does anyone else.

Therefore, believe whatever you like – just please don’t insist you “know” – or much worse, insist that others must agree with you.

That is the sum total of my attitude toward religious belief.

        • It seems plain to me religion as it now exists is warped and compromised beyond repair. It exists as a tool of oppression and control. I judge it by what I see it do first hand, not by what it claims to do or claims to be.

If there is a strain of Christianity or other faith that fully respects individuality and never interferes in the lives of others involuntarily, I would love to hear more about it.

The stories and rituals “must be” either modified or annotated to comply with UPB. This has nothing to do with other religions or their practitioners, but only those who wish to be true consistent libertarians.

No proselytizing or recruitment is meant to reach the ears of those happy with their irrational beliefs and faith. Only those who wish to move beyond being “fans” of freedom into philosophers and practitioners of freedom.

Those who choose to keep their current faith intact can certainly coexist in harmony with libertarians. So can constitutionalists who wish to keep their current politics intact. I would call both of these quasi-libertarians.

          • The organized element of religion is the thing that troubles me.

It assumes there is a single “right” belief (and associated dogma). From this flows most of the problems – the suffocating demands of obedience, the meanness and often enough, violence, directed at those who do not obey and refuse to believe.

Let each man ponder the mystery of existence, the grandeur of creation. But let no man impose his beliefs upon other men.

            Live – and let live.

That is the sum total of Natural Law. Which, if there is a god, should be synonymous with god’s law.

  8. The elected gangbangers met in Denver all day yesterday to vote on a package of anti-gun legislation. I have to hand it to the minority Republicans that were interviewed on the teevee news, they actually sounded like they had some stones. I guess because they know their votes aren’t enough to overrule the Denver Democrats they can actually sound like they’re on our side.

    http://www.9news.com/news/article/321100/339/7-gun-related-measures-considered-in-CO

BTW, why are all you idiots moving here from California hell bent on recreating the awful mess that you left?

      • Frankly I’m bewildered as to what the Denver crowd is up to here.

It appears that protest both in person and using other means is not going to slow this legislative juggernaut one iota.

I find myself dreaming of a wall around the damn place.

I reckon we’ll see what we see.

  9. I wondered if anyone of you would like to weigh in on this thread:

“First question: Now that tyranny and its accompanying economic destruction have come so far, do you believe that there is likely to be any peaceful solution for restoring freedom? If so, what solutions do you envision? And specifically how do you see them working?”

    http://www.backwoodshome.com/blogs/ClaireWolfe/2013/03/04/first-question-peaceful-rollback-of-tyranny/comment-page-1/#comment-25068

    Notice all the “no”‘s.
    It’s kind of spooky.

    • Hi Downshift. Thanks for posting that. Very interesting question, with some eye opening comments. One of my favorites is “Actually, I believe the β€œrevolution” has all ready begun….it just hasn’t gone hot yet.” I think that is spot on.

Whether the rest of the revolution is peaceful depends on the reaction of the central government, which in turn depends on how its enforcement arms react to the inevitable meltdown. The signs are not good at the moment, with the Heimat Sicherheitsdienst acquiring one and half billion rounds of hollow point ammo and more than 2,700 armored vehicles. That agency is not designed to defend against foreign threats, but against us.

The central government is very clearly intending to wage war against American citizens. The only question is whether it will be able to. I believe that, unfortunately, it will. The DHS lackeys are chillingly similar to the guards at Nazi concentration camps: willing to treat normal human beings as something dirty and less than deserving of life. Makes me want to throw up to think about those low life mofos.

Let’s hear it for American exceptionalism.

      • Again, I’m reminded of school, being pushed/shoved from behind by the class bully as we went outside and through the double doors to settle the matter outside and free from interferance.

I did not know I would win.

The bully became less of a bully, even almost my friend.

I’m having a hard time seeing the same outcome.

        Peace officers. – worlds away.

        • Dear Mike, Downshift,

That of course calls up this one:

“7. You only have the rights you are willing to fight for.”

Sad to say, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights are, as Jay Leno joked, items “we haven’t even used.”

The map is not the territory. Documents stating our rights may help clarify our rights, but they do not ensure them.

Only “eternal vigilance” and concrete action on our part will.

          • Bevin,

I think Leno said that during the time when The new Iraqi puppet gov. was bickering over drafting a new constitution and Leno said, “Hey, let’s give them ours, we arent using it anyway”!

      • Hi Mike,

“The DHS lackeys are chillingly similar to the guards at Nazi concentration camps: willing to treat normal human beings as something dirty and less than deserving of life. ”

That’s it, exactly. Millions of Americans are “good Germans” (and much worse). They already feel no compunction about taking other people’s things. I doubt they’ll feel any about taking their lives, either.

Much as I find the prospect appalling, it may come down to us – or them. It may not be possible to coexist with such people.

    • I’m inclined to agree. The Free Shit Army will not be demobilized. It will have to be defeated. As horrible as that prospect is, I believe it is also unavoidable now.

I was reading a book recently about the Great Depression of the ’30s. Economic woes far beyond anything most people living today have ever had to deal with. Yet – for the most part – people did not descend into animal savagery. There was nothing analogous to, say, New Orleans after Katrina – or Detroit, after nightfall (or broad daylight, for that matter).

The gibs-me-dat mentality is far more widespread now than it was in the ’30s. People then had internal moral restraint. Many still do, of course. But many do not. Obama sail fawn lady. That woman up in New Jersey. And they are far from the worst examples.

What I fear most is that we are going to relive 410 AD.

      • Here’s a minor auto-related story which highlights the gibs-me-dat mentality of today:

A grandmother working a gas station related this story to me in disbelief.

A young man of about twenty years of age pulled up to the gas pumps. She recognized him from his job at the large grocery store across the street, but she did not know him.

The young man (kid, really) walked in while beaming a huge smile and stood in front of her at the counter and asked for the gas pumps to be turned on. Oh, and he said, β€œI don’t have any money” followed with an even bigger grin and an awkard moment. The kid just stood there smiling.

The slightly shocked grandmother told him he has to leave if he doesn’t have any money with which to purchase gasoline.

The kid shrugged and said he was out of gas, so how could he go anywhere? Then he smiled again.

I looked over at the spot she was pointing to, of where the kid’s car was parked, it was on a slope. So I thought, yeesh, he could have popped it into neutral and rolled out of the way,… but no. The kid had a plan.

The grandmother told the kid if he didn’t get out of here she was going to call the cops.
The kid shrugged and said he was out of gas, so how could he go anywhere? Then he smiled again, walked out to his car, and just sat there.

The cop came and talked to the kid. Perhaps the cop thought himself to be a peace officer by walking into the gas station and handing the grandmother a ten dollar bill to pay for the kid’s gasoline?

The grandmother was shocked and in disbelief. She couldn’t understand why this cop was rewarding this behavior,… encouraging it! What the cop was doing was even worse than what the kid was trying to do.

She said she sees the kid every now and then working at the grocery store, so she knows he has a job, so it’s not exactly like it was a hardship case. The kid simply didn’t want to pay.

She told me of similar stories, of how the FSA likes to bring in their children to create sympathy, expecting the cashiers to fill the till in their stead.

        The End.

      • Dear Eric,

“The gibs-me-dat mentality is far more widespread now than it was in the ’30s. People then had internal moral restraint.”

        Yup.

FDR’s New Deal, LBJ’s Great Society, Dubya’s RINO socialism, Barry’s “Change you can believe in” all facilitated, not caused, We the Sheeple to forsake the principles on which the nation was founded.

Looking back, the Framers, despite their shortcomings, were anomalies. They were the only ones who gave substance to boasts about “American Exceptionalism.” They were what Confucius referred to as “junzi” or “gentlemen of virtue,” who lead by moral example.

But the sorry reality is that most people the world over, including ‘Murica, are all too easily recruited into the FSA.

  10. Dom,

What do free men want with bear arms? Is this some thing related to the Hobbit? Does this belong under “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell”? πŸ˜‰

    Otherwise a good refresher course.

          • True story:

I went “out West” right after college, to have a look around. Never been farther than TN prior to this. I got to San Francisco – and went for a job interview at the Examiner (yeah, that’s another story). So I’m sitting in my car with a cup of coffee, waiting out the 10 minutes I’ve got before my meeting. All of a sudden, this guy walks past the car. Guy wearing leather chaps and a vest… cap… nothing else. Ass cheeks – hairy ass cheeks – hanging out of the chaps. Exactly like the guy from Village People.

That was a first for me!

          • Dear Eric,

            Let me guess.

He and several other “macho men” suddenly broke out in a chorus of “YMCA.”

All seriousness aside, I had no idea why San Francisco became the “gay Mecca?” until recently, when I ran an impromputu Google search.

            Dear Yahoo!:
How did San Francisco become so popular with gay people?
            Jeff
            Miami, Florida

            Dear Jeff:

In addition to its earthquakes and the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco is widely known for its high population of gays and lesbians. How did so many gay people come to call the city by the bay their home? The answer may surprise you…

As it turns out, the military is the main reason so many gay men settled in San Francisco. During World War II, the United States armed forces “sought out and dishonorably discharged” homosexuals. Many men who were expelled for being gay were processed at San Francisco bases.

… Gay men often stayed in the city after completing their military service. Since then, San Francisco’s gay and lesbian population has continued to grow.

… Today, San Francisco has the highest concentration of gay men, women, and same-sex couples in the country and possibly the world.

The heavy hand of government is behind so many things we see in our world today.

    • Bear arms would serve me way better than my bare arms, which just make women roll their eyes and giggle. Where is Charles Atlas when I need his sage advice?
