Only cops can be trusted with guns….

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Authorities say a 4-year-old boy grabbed a loaded gun at a family cookout and accidentally shot and killed the wife of a Tennessee sheriff’s deputy.

Investigators say Wilson County Deputy Daniel Fanning on Saturday was showing his weapons to a relative in a bedroom of his Lebanon home when the toddler came in and picked up a gun off the bed. Sheriff Robert Bryan says the weapon discharged, hitting 48-year-old Josephine Fanning.

She was pronounced dead at the scene. The child is not related to her or her husband.

Bryan says the shooting was a terrible accident and that within seconds of Fanning placing the gun on the bed, the toddler picked it up.

The gun was not Fanning’s service weapon and the sheriff says the deputy’s weapons are normally stored in a safe.

Come on now, you fearless enforcers of righteousness and good, ARREST THAT CHILD FOR MURDER! Beat him to a bloody pulp! Make him confess! Heck, STRING HIM UP! After all, he killed a member of the sacred Priesthood of Public Order (apologies to Will Grigg)! Such a sacrilegious act by a Mere Mundane, no matter how young, can go unpunished! Think of the precedent THAT would set![/SARCASM]

  2. Being a latch key kid kicked out of day care at age 6, I had lots of time to study TV while home alone. Gilligan’s Island was a good way to finish the rot and alienation of my brain from reality after a long day at Catholic school.

Mary Ann of Gilligan’s Island – portrated by Dawn Wells

In Gilligan’s Island, each character represents an archetype from the “seven deadly sins.”

1 Gilligan, often portrayed on the program as napping or otherwise goofing off, represents “Sloth” and the viewers of the show as well.
2 Mr. Howell, the millionaire represents “Gluttony”
3 Mrs. Howell, his wife represents “Greed”
    4 The Professor represents “Pride”
    5 The Skipper represents “Wrath”
    6 Ginger represents “Lust”
    7 Mary-Ann represents “Envy”

The Market Anarchist’s Paradise of Gilligan’s Island

Without the benefit of any huge bureaucracy or powerful tribunal, the castaways principally live in peace. More important than any traditional codification of laws is simply their collective treatment of one another.

The series suggests that the key to successful life lies mainly in their own ingenuity to exist at ease with themselves, the elements, and with those around them. The peculiarities and blunders of each inhabitant are admitted and tolerated. Their differences are simply noticed and granted, not violently opposed.

Yet even this lofty theme is not the primary thesis. The story is actually about something much more fundamental. The most remarkably ironic message of the tale lies in the paradox of the concentrated lust of the castaways; their burning desire to go back. Back to a time and a place that is more familiar and romantically remembered as “better.”

The tragedy of the tale is not that they can never go back. The real affliction is with the wish itself. They are all so preoccupied with the notion of going back that they never realize they could all be making babies and drinking wine and having the greatest lives any of us can imagine. The sponsors demand that it never dawns on the castaways or their fans that they are all already in a kind of paradise.

      • He’s right of course.

No doubt their pyramids rise to new heights. Stealing the days and making them nights. Take comfort in the words a great man once said: “Les yeux sans visage,” eyes without a face, better poor wrong alive, than rich right and dead.

When you hear the music you make a dip. Into someone else’s pocket then make a slip. Steal a car and go to Las Vegas, oh, the gigolo pool. Hanging out by the state line. Turning holy water into wine. Drinking it down on a bus on a psychedelic trip. Reading murder tales trying to stay hip. Now I close my eyes and I wonder why I don’t despise. Now all I can do is love what once was so alive and new.

Got no human grace. Such a human waste. They’re eyes without a face.

And Dawn is STILL A HOTTIE even at 70-plus!

Tina Louise (Ginger), OTOH, not so much (see third photo in the link)…

  3. “Within seconds the toddler picked it up and fired it” bullshit!

Here’s a nice ol’ “what if” scenario for this story: What if the cop killed his wife and blamed it on a four year old? I think a four year old who just witnessed someone being shot would be pretty easy to pin the blame on.

Nothing new here. Just the usual Heartless Motherfuckers shooting a 21 year old girl in cold blood so they can score an arrest and feel safe. They’ll never be safe from themselves though. Eventually these costumed cocksuckers are going to kill themselves, their tinsel badges and flinty souls tarnished and eaten from the inside with vengeance seeking victims blood eternally pursuing them!

    • Jesus, Tor – that was not what I needed to read about. Just… incredible. I can’t even get into the heads of the pigs who did this. That girl looked like she maybe weighed 120 pounds. Her non-crime involved no violence toward anyone. Yet it’s enough to justify (to pigs) gunning her down in the street.

      • The dehumanization that is performed on these robo-cops is staggering.

In Sweetwater County, Wyoming, police officers discovered Michael Valdes, 37, alone in a car on Interstate 80 with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Jesus loves me this I know … wait a tick, my sail fawn is ringing…

We’re a nation of deadbeats all being pursued by costumed UN bill collectors with guns and tasers, yet we all still can afford sail fawns and webcams; it’s like someone wants us to fail…

    • Quincy Season 7 Episode 15 – To Clear The Air

I remember Quincy being one of the few things my parents would watch on TV.

Medical examiner – a ridiculous police state contrivance no one would pay for in the free market. Typical zionist bankster malinvestment of scarce resources.

        • I think I did too. I only mean to point out the flaws and bad practices so we can adjust in the future and enjoy and control our own lives.

Klugman Shills For Cancer Cartel & Anti-Tobacco

It is cruel and unusual, that the good life is easy and enjoyable in scripted television dramas, yet financially impossible or legally prohibited in real life.

The solvable problem is to not allow TV to control us like some kind of electronic temple where we receive revealed truth…

“Gentlemen, you are about to enter the most important and fascinating sphere of police work: the world of forensic medicine, where untold victims of many homicides will reach back from the grave and point back a finger accusingly at their assailant.” – Quincy (statist poppycock!)

IIRC, all my family could manage was to watch Quincy as a specie of thrall. It was unfathomable and awe-striking all the talent and resources that went into the shows creation. Whatever programming they wished to perform on our minds, our cortexes gave them carte blanche.

Klugman, except for his shilling for the nanny state, was great. The Odd Couple offers you a window into a living NYC before it was murdered and resurrected as a zombie bankrupt police state dystopian abyss.

If you want to watch the Kardashian live feed 24 hours a day and consider it a life well spent, good for you.

I’m fine with neocons or people who want to borrow from their next paycheck in advance from the payday loan store at 425% interest.

What’s “wrong” with TV shows currently is that only a very few oligarchs decide what shows will be made. Anything not a part of their cartel is destroyed.

“Every year 2 million kids are beat up by their parents, 2 thousand of them end up on slab” – Q

“The rules are for the child beaters and not the children. Alright, you want a witness? I’ll get you a witness, I’ll find somebody who saw what happened and deliver them into your lap!” – Q

          • It was amazing how preachy the show would get when Quincy or someone else would start with the statistics.

Even 20+ years ago it sounded contrived. I doubt I would have watched the show much w/out Jack.
