No vicious assault here, folks – just a hero doing his job:

    • This response from the chicken-hawk pussies that were not even near the scene of the crime. But they came back later and gave the cops two standing ovations for a job well done.

The House immediately went into recess. Lawmakers and staffers scurried into their offices, closed the curtains, and locked themselves inside. Senators ducked for cover.

DC police policy – if they get outr of the car shoot them to death, ask questions later.

      • Dear Gary,

If there is any truth to the concept of karma, then it will eventually happen to “John Bellucci.”

I’m eager to hear what he says then, assuming he survives his run-in with his “heroes.”

          • Dear Gary,

            LOL.

I’m guessing “Belushi” is the Anglicized version of the Italian name “Bellucci.”

Anyway, that copsucker is no credit to the great Italian people.

          • Just to clarify, I was referring to this copsucker who left a YT comment:

The scumbag sonofabitch should STOP BREAKING THE LAW! Act like a criminal, be treated like a criminal!!! They’re all so tough until they get nabbed. Then it’s “Oh! The cops are treating me badly!”

            • Morning, Bevin!

I’m sure you’ve noticed the invariable tendency of Clovers to CAPITALIZE their grammatically garbled, intellectually incoherent effusions?

We are dealing with fractured minds – child minds.

Attempting to reason with them is as much a fool’s errand as singing love songs to a radish.

          • Dear Eric,

Clowns like that probably cannot be reached through anything resembling reason.

The programming is so deeply embedded, probably only something like (new?) Monarch Programming could override it.

          • dang…another equation? fractured & child’s minds…i’ve heard some almost unbelievably “holistic” things outta’ the mouths of babes (children, not females….).

is the site phooey again, sinister in, or something else, sinister out? “refresh” doesn’t, anymore, like it used to. and “subscribe”, well, that never worked at all…..

    • “The brave heroes didn’t kill her one-year-old in the car, since he didn’t make any threatening gestures”

……Or more likely they didn’t notice him. They may well be kicking themselves for not at least Tazing the tyke.

    • This tribute to hero cops by one of our “leaders” was hilarious.

“Today was another reminder of the bravery of police officers and first responders,” said Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio). “I observed Capitol Police officers rushing towards danger while instructing the rest of us to take cover. I thank them and their families for their sacrifice and my thoughts and prayers go out for their safety.”

    • Absolute, unmitigated, bald-faced bullhit from that NYDN writer. Really, the story makes no sense at all. When a story makes no sense, it’s usually nonsense. The article shows a thoroughly wrecked cop car, then shows a picture of the victim’s car with no visible damage.

Not to put too fine a point on it, the NYDN story is very likely a fuckin lie. Some overhyped DC cops fucked up and murdered a young woman, so they have to make up some bullshit about “terrrorism”.

I’m sorry I read the whole reeking pile of shit. That was waaaaay more disinformation than I needed in one sitting.

      • Cops hit lots of things when giving chase. Probably wrecked some innocent mundane’s car or other property in the process. We’ll be told what hero this cop is while the mundane has to go work even harder to replace/repair his property. The cop may get some sort of disability payments or a bigger pension out of it. Line of duty ya know.

      • NYDN is the #5 US newspaper delivery or digital version. They are the US equivalent of the UK Daily Mail.

I picked it because it was the top google hit, and because its every word is infuriating. It’s helpful to learn to rebel against their manufactured enveloping reality cartoons.

Why only read something that keeps everything in frame? That has all the thought bubbles and conversation bubbles your NSA Social Profile says you prefer?

Miriam Carey of Bushwick is the headline right now. You are getting sleepy. This Connecticut woman with ‘mental health issues’ was shot dead by D.C. cops after trying to ram White House barrier — as neighbors tell The News she ‘seemed like a nice young lady, and that she was stable’
        http://www.nydailynews.com

Real story? She was part of Operation Shield. She was having an affair with a congressman. She’s was a monarch that was activated. An Al Qaeda Sleeper Agent. How are we ever going to know?

The Rabbit Hole is a truth so dense, that no light escapes from it. The matrix of New York, Australian, Texas, and other reality cartoons are only constructs. Take the gold pill, the silver pill, the placebo, take all the matrix pills you can swallow. The NAP Jedi can still take or leave the constructs as he pleases, regardless of his daily meds.

        • Dear Tor,

“She was a monarch that was activated.”

If it turns out she has a butterfly tattoo I’m going to be awfully suspicious.

          I’m only half-kidding.

Fortunately the concept is becoming less “tinfoil hat.” To wit, “Homeland.” It’s no longer “unthinkable.”

What is the first and principal thing he does? What needs does he serve by his actions?

Hannibal Lecter: No! He covets. That is his nature. And how do we begin to covet, Clarice? Do we seek out things to covet?

Hannibal Lecter: You know what you look like to me, with your good bag and your cheap shoes? You look like a rube. A well scrubbed, hustling rube with a little taste. Good nutrition’s given you some length of bone, but you’re not more than one generation from poor white trash, are you, Agent Starling? And that accent you’ve tried so desperately to shed: pure West Virginia. What is your father, dear? Is he a coal miner? Does he stink of the lamp? You know how quickly the boys found you… all those tedious sticky fumblings in the back seats of cars… while you could only dream of getting out… getting anywhere… getting all the way to the FBI.

Clarice Starling: You see a lot, Doctor. But are you strong enough to point that high-powered perception at yourself?

The Salvador Dali female nudes “skull” in the moth image was intriguing.

Just started watching “Under the Dome.” So far I’ve noticed two developments highly relevant for libertarians.

            1. The psychopath “Junior” becomes a LEO.

            2. Monarch butterflies run amok, and the gubmint decides to nuke the entire town.

  1. The Tale of the Slave – Robert Nozick

The State vs the Highwayman – Lysander Spooner

    Mark Rippetoe – Deadlift Set-up

  2. Needless to say, I really love this comment:

Final 6 Episodes of Nikita coming this winter, Judd Nelson to play a deep cover operative.
      http://www.tvguide.com/news/nikita-final-season-scoop-1068072.aspx

      Dear Mr. Vernon,

We accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it is we did wrong, but we think you’re crazy for making us write an essay telling you who we think we are. You see us as you want to see us, in the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions. But what we found out, is that each one of us is a brain, and an athlete,
and a basketcase, a princess, and a criminal. Does that answer your question?

      Sincerely yours,

      The Breakfast Club.

      • Dear Tor,

I dislike most of what’s on TV these days.

Apart from a couple of DIY shows on home carpentry or home remodeling, the only other fictional series besides “Nikita” that I watch are “Falling Skies,” “Homeland,” and the just concluded “Dexter.”

        I like “Nikita.”

For one, it’s one of the few US shows in TV history to depict an East Asian as other than a menial, dispensable sidekick.

But more importantly, it’s one of the few government agent themed series on TV that depicts the government’s spying as inherently evil, its spymasters as incorrigible psychopaths, and its monopoly on the use of force as a constant threat to public safety.

Watch any episode of NCIS, then watch any episode of Nikita. The difference is obvious.

        • Bevin,

The last episode I watches was #16 – Echoes. It was amazing. Because everyone in the show makes their living through murderous force, they’re all dead to me regardless of ethnicity, but that doesn’t stop it from being compelling and instructive.

I also know what you mean about the dearth of East Asian cartoon imagery you can identify with. Each night my family tortures me with the idiot box and it’s malevolent idiocy against everything I identify with.

Echoes. Seas01Epis16 Writer: Kristen Reidel. Airdate February 24, 2011.

In order to speed up her healing, Amanda sedates Alex after her last mission then takes advantage of Alex’s drugged condition to question her about the secrets Amanda believes Alex is keeping. Nikita realizes Alex is in danger and tries to secure her another identity to smuggle her out of the country. However, Nikita’s contact double-crosses her and she comes face to face with a surprising opponent. Meanwhile, Michael becomes suspicious of Alex and asks Birkhoff to investigate her.

As a Munkov, I hope no one finds out I’m routing for Zetrov heiress Alexandra Udinov.

          http://nikita2010.wikia.com/wiki/Special:Search?search=zetrov&fulltext=Search

          • Dear Tor,

Is “Munkov” a Russian surname? I wasn’t sure. I know that usually the “off” or “ov” ending signifies “son of… ” as in Ivanoff/Ivanov = Johnson.

I really like the Alex character too. Mafia princess who kicks ass!

Girls with guns. Anti-government message. How can you beat that?

        • Thanks for the reminder, Bevin! I love “Nikita”, too.

The only shows I can stand watching are:
Breaking Bad–best TV show, ever; strongly libertarian themes
          The Walking Dead
Falling Skies–despite their desire to have a president again

I use Sickbeard and sabnzbd to download them so I don’t pay into the media-conglomerate combines at TimeWarner etc.

          • Dear meth,

            The Walking Dead!

How could I forget to list that one???

Must be because the current season concluded a while ago, and I blanked it out of my awareness while waiting for next season.

TWD has a good “message.” Don’t expect the gubmint to do anything for you in a crisis. If it’s not incompetent, then it’s evil.

That’s of course assuming the gubmint wasn’t behind the crisis to begin with!

          • Dear meth,

I agree. The fly in the ointment with Falling Skies is the vestigial cult of leadership.

I’m curious to see what Spielberg does with it.

I don’t think he’s going to be as flagrant as state worshippers such as Aaron Sorkin of “The West Wing” and “The American President” infamy.

But it’s always interesting to see what on Spielberg’s mind, seeing how indicative he is of “mainstream opinion,” i.e., mob sentiment.

          • Quotes from Viktor Frankl’s “Man’s Search For Meaning” required reading for TWD writers. It’s an account and a psychology and philosophy system called Logotherapy he developed while in a concentration camp.

“What is demanded of man is not, as some existential philosophers teach, to endure the meaninglessness of life, but rather to bear his incapacity to grasp its unconditional meaningfulness in rational terms. Logos (meaning) is deeper than logic.”

“Pleasure is, and must remain, a side-effect or by-product, and is destroyed and spoiled to the degree to which it is made a goal in itself.”

“Man does not simply exist but always decides what his existence will be, what he will become in the next moment.”

Premise and principles of Logotherapy according to Frankl:

            Basic principles of Logotherapy:
1 Life has meaning under all circumstances, even the most miserable ones.
2 Our main motivation for living is our will to find meaning in life.
3 We have freedom to find meaning in what we do, and what we experience, or at least in the stand we take when faced with a situation of unchangeable suffering.

Affluence, hedonism, and materialism, while pleasurable and desirable, are transient. We prep and prepare to sustain them, and to avoid pain, but these values can be taken from you in an instant, needs and deficits can rapidly take their place, and that is when you will need your deepest and most essential prep.

Your SHTF plan must include hearing the knock at the door and the exclamation: “We have your wife here, come out immediately and talk to us, and she will not be harmed.” Perhaps, even, she will be the one to turn you in and blindside you.

You discover meaning in life in three different ways:
            (1) by creating a work or doing a deed
            (2) by experiencing something or encountering someone
            (3) by the attitude we take toward unavoidable suffering, never letting them break you because you know: “everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances”.

          • Dear meth,

“so I don’t pay into the media-conglomerate combines at TimeWarner etc.”

Excellent approach. A lot of people use torrents.

Everyone should do something more or less along those lines.

    • @Bevin – Help me out here. Where/ what is the John bellucci comment? I feel left in the dust without knowledge of the current TV shows. I guess I should stop listening to re-runs of Alex Jones.

      • Hey Garysco,

If you click the title of the video, it takes you through a superstring spacetime portal to YouTube. You can rub elbows with the internet hoi polloi there, he’s the top commenter of this video. Robert C is the second commenter among others.

Tor, after watching that I don’t even want to watch your links, I’ve about had as much as I can stand to watch of these human torturers.

Problem is, I know it gets way worse than that.

Which makes me all the more disgusted with those who turn a blind eye to it all as if it never happened.
