Rand Paul is one of them.Rand Paul

Maybe they got to him. Maybe they have the negatives. Or maybe he was just never one of us, no matter how much some of us may have hoped he might be. It doesn’t matter why. What does matter is that Rand Paul has added his voice to the lunatic neocon warble that could very well lead the world to a nuclear war over . . .  Crimea.

It’s the Sarajevo of 2014.

Why the ruckus? Power politics, of course. There is oil in them thar hills, for one. Well, natural gas. Lots of it. Oceans of it, in fact. All set to be sold to Europe via Gazprom for other-than-dollars. This is an unequivocal shot across the bow to the Petro-dollar’s puppets in the Offal Office and on Capitol Hill cannot abide. They went Medieval on Saddam – and then, Muammar – for precisely this reason and for no other reason.

And will do so again.

The United State (singular on purpose, in the interests of accuracy) would be wrecked if any major player got away with trading energy without trading it for dollars. Putin threatens to do this. Ergo, Putin must go. Crimea is merely the excuse. Obama, et al, care as much about the people of Crimea as if they do about the people of Nebraska – which isn’t much, in case you hadn’t noticed. The irony is the people of Crimea are in no danger from Putin. By a margin of more than 90 percent, they have endorsed a peaceful Anschluss. Like it or not, they like Putin – and Russia. Why is it Rand Paul’s business – or any American’s business – to tell them otherwise?

The problem – for you and me and everyone else caught in the middle of this maelstrom – is that unlike Saddam or Muammar – Vladimir does have weapons of mass destruction. The real deal, too. Not a handful of  low-yield first-gen atomic M80s, either. And he has the means to send them our way, if he’s provoked. He has missiles and submarines, just like “we” (i.e., the US government) do. Ever take a gander at a Typhoon Class ballistic missile sub? Apparently, Rand Paul has not done so. This boat can carry 20 nuclear missiles, each fitted with multiple nuclear warheads. Just one of these boats could – theoretically – lay waste to most of North America. Russia has several such boats. Plus land-based missile. Plus airplanes as good as “ours.” Plus an army that’s probably better than “ours.” The last idiot who under-estimated the Russian Army didn’t end up too well.

This – and the fact that a serious white person (as they say in South Boston) such as ex-KGB Colonel Putin holds the launch codes ought to give a sane person pause.

It was thought – briefly – that Rand Paul was sane.

Clearly, he is not.

Perhaps he is merely another power-lusting, flag-on-the-lapel, freedom-hustling GOP shyster?

Yes, exactly.

In a just-published Time article, the son of the usually-sensible Ron Paul writes: “It is America’s duty to condemn these actions in no uncertain terms. It is our role as a global leader to be the strongest nation in opposing Russia’s latest aggression.” Italics added for obvious – depressing – reasons.

And then, this:

“Putin must be punished for violating the Budapest Memorandum, and Russia must learn that the U.S. will isolate it if it insists on acting like a rogue nation . . .Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine a gross violation of that nation’s sovereignty and an affront to the international community.”

Except Putin did not invade Ukraine, the people of Crimea voted overwhelmingly to join Russia (self-determination, anyone?) and the “international community” is a rhetorical fiction deployed by warmongers like George W. Bush, Barack Obama and – now – Rand Paul.

By joining them, he’s proved he can’t beat them. Or doesn’t want to beat them. Or can’t be trusted to try.

Regardless, he’s given all of you fair warning. In the immortal words of The Chimp:

Fool me once, shame on… shame on… won’t get fooled again.

  1. Note also that Rand has come out in favor of a VAT. If he thinks he’s a libertarian, he must be on mind altering drugs, legal or otherwise. Anyone else who thinks he’s a libertarian is deluded or not paying attention.

    • Hi Mike,

      Yup.

I’m not sure what Rand’s game is. Several of his recent policy pronouncements (including the one you mention) indicate he’s a “conservative” Republican. That is, a slower-motion authoritarian than a “liberal” progressive Democrat.

    • Dear Mike,

      That’s depressing.

What was that famous quote about taxes?

Something about how new taxes never replace old taxes. They merely supplement existing taxes?

      Can’t remember the wording.

      • Might as well support ‘the Donald.’ At least he will shake things up and make it interesting. You know, like the ancient curse ‘May you live in interesting times.’

  2. What’s happening in Crimea, and what’s happened in places like Israel/Palestine, Northern Ireland, and the former Yugoslavia can (and most likely will) happen here: I’m thinking the flash point will be California.

California is already majority Hispanic, and 7 out of 10 people in California under 18 are Hispanic. Co-founder of the Mexican-American Legal Defense Fund, Mario Obledo said, “California is going to be a Hispanic state. Anyone who doesn’t like it should leave.”

In addition, other Southwestern states like NV, AZ, NM, CO and TX, are fast becoming majoirty Hispanic. As Hispanics gain a majority, they may likely wish to reconstitiute “Aztlan.”

That will be interesting to say the least…

  3. Ron Paul talks sense to three clueless zombie scum.

    Regarding Crimea:

One of them asks “How can you have a free election when you have an occupying force amassing armies”

Ron Paul says “Yeah, the US should stop amassing armies everywhere”

fox business channel-2.5 minute video of Ron Paul
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RwK_xtzyS74

    – hilarious. – when will we finally have a free election? it’s been over 200 years now.

  4. Dr. Ron Paul is a Man of Principle. His son is a political pragmatist. I always considered the best example of a pragmatic politician to have been Pontius Pilate. Go along to get along at any price. So what if people die!

    • Dear Rich,

      Agree.

The Pauls are an interesting case.

They’re the inverse of the old saying “The sins of the father should not be visited upon the son.”

In their case, it’s “The sins of the son should not be visited upon the father.”

      LOL.

  5. “Rand Paul is one of them”…..did it ever occur to anyone that maybe its all part of a plan to get him into the White House? The only way for a patriot to ever enter that house with “permission” would be wearing a mask and that mask is “neoconservative”.

    • Yes JoePA, that thought has occurred to me. And I hope you’re right. We’ll find out too. Because if he runs, wins the White House and pursues the right and proper agenda, he should be dead, in prison or at least disgraced and impeached within weeks of doing so. The transnational thieves that own most of this world will not tolerate a threat to the de facto “powers and principalities”; their fiat money banking empire. Ask Muammar Gaddafi or Saddam Hussein about that…

      • Dear Booth,

I just finished watching “The Wolf of Wall Street.”

Great flick. Hilarious, with a real edge. What “The Bonfire of the Vanities” tried to be but failed to be.

But one thing really struck me as I was watching the SEC and FBI go after Jordan Belfort. Namely, what right do they have to get all self-righteous about Belfort’s fraud?

They are the Mafia soldiers for the biggest frauds of all, the Fed/Treasury/Bankster Unholy Trinity.

After watching G. Edward Griffen’s video on “The Creature from Jekyll Island” and Michael Maloney’s video “The Biggest Scam in the History of Mankind,” the real con-men became clear to me.

        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lu_VqX6J93k
        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFDe5kUUyT0

The financial crimes they commit make Belfort look like a piker. Belfort pump and dumped and raked in a measly 200 million.

Compared to what the Fed/Treasury/Banksters do with their fiat currency shell game, and with fractional reserve lending, 200 mil was nothing!

        • Bevin – The transnational thieves don’t want ANY competition. Not even a little bit. Gaddafi was going to institute a gold coin standard in Libya; he was toast. Hussein wanted Euros for oil; toast. The founder of the Liberty Dollar? Falsely imprisoned for counterfeiting, which is actually what the Fed does every day with legal sanction. Iran still doesn’t participate in the international banking scam and wants to trade oil for gold; they have more U.S. guns pointed at them than an 8 point buck on the opening day of deer season in Alabama. One does not attempt to compete with or thwart the money changers in any meaningful way and expect to get away with it. Yet. The day of reackoning is coming though. It always does. I’m not real sure I want to live to see it, because it will get really ugly.

          • Dear Boothe,

As Deep Throat admonished, “Follow the money.”

When all is said and done, it’s always about the money. Or in the case of the Fed/Treasury/Banksters, the funny money, the fiat currency.

The Chinese often say that the way to get killed is to

            擋住人家的財路
dang zhu ren jia di cai lu

i.e., “stand in the way of another’s path to wealth”

I used to dismiss the JFK conspiracy theories. Since getting wise to the bankster cartels, those “theories” come across as glaringly obvious truths.

          • Dear Boothe,

The injustice of the Liberty Dollar witch hunt is especially outrageous.

From what I have read, the Liberty Dollar, as opposed to current US dollars, was real MONEY, not fiat CURRENCY.

Von NotHaus was not the one engaged in “counterfeiting.” Those who arrested him were.

Meanwhile the sheeple not approvingly as someone who was out to save them from being defrauded is led away in chains.

            • Morning, Bevin!

I can’t see (morally speaking) any justification for penalizing (that is, using violence against) any person whose “crime” is free exchange.

If I have ingots of silver and wish to exchange them for something you have that’s of value to me – and you’re agreeable – where’s the “crime”? Why must we only conduct the exchange using the medium of value dictated by this entity called the state?

Of course, we know the answer.

So that the state can control all exchange – and profit by it.

          • Dear Eric,

“Of course, we know the answer. So that the state can control all exchange – and profit by it.”

            Absolutely right.

And what’s worse, when it profits by controlling all exchange, it does so by legalized counterfeiting, at a massive, mind-boggling scale.

Financial consultant Mike Maloney does a great job of explaining just how outrageous their fraud is.

As he explains in “The Biggest Scam in the History of the World,” the banksters own the Fed.

With the collusion of the Treasury, they create fiat currency out of thin air by buying and selling T bills — using rubber checks!

They then create more fiat currency out of thin air through fractional reserve lending.

These two types of fiat currency creation work exactly the same way as making one’s own funny money on a printing press or a color xerox machine.

One creates currency that one didn’t have to work for!

And it’s all “legal.” They can’t be prosecuted for it.

            Why?

Because they drew up the laws they operate under. Their counterfeiting is legal, because they covered their asses in advance by defining their actions as legal.

            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFDe5kUUyT0

By contrast, Von NotHaus was selling genuine money. If I’m not mistaken, the “rounds” he minted and sold were genuine silver, not cupro-nickel “coins.”

He wasn’t “counterfeiting” by any definition of the word. The designs made them obvious they weren’t US Mint coins.

          • Bevin – I don’t mean any ill will by correcting you, but “coins” are specie; actual gold and silver. The cupro-nickel trash LBJ foisted upon us in 1965 are “tokens.” Basically, they are the same thing as paper money except they have some value as industrial metals. The Constitution says that no state shall make any thing other than gold or silver money to prevent this kind of fraud. It also says that Congress shall have the authority to “coin” money and regulate the value thereof.

Congress committed a high crime by allowing the Federal Reserve to issue bills of credit in lieu of real money. Allowing this fiat paper currency that we are forced to accept as “legal tender” is treason against the American public. I don’t blame you for staying in Asia. At this point I’m pretty sure you’re better off.

          • Dear Boothe,

Not at all! No problem whatsoever. By all means set the record straight. I always want to get it right.

In fact, I only recently learned the semantic difference between “currency” and “money” from Mike Maloney.

I knew the difference between real money (gold, silver) and FRNs. The former has value as a useful metal. The latter is merely paper that the state forces you to use to conduct commerce.

But I wasn’t completely clear on the the terms “currency” and “money.” Maloney set me straight.

I wasn’t quite sure about the term “coins” either. That’s why in one sentence I put scare quotes around the term coins.

I like semantic precision. So, thanks!

From now on it’s “coins vs. tokens” in addition to “money vs. fiat currency.”

          • Be very careful about coin/token/round.

While we may try to say only gold and silver are real money and thus real coins, copper and other metals have also been used for centuries and governments have their own definitions. Once something is called a coin it can land the people who make/use/distribute it in prison.

Look at the liberty dollar guy. He sold gold and silver rounds for use in trade. The government argued they were coins and as coins were counterfeits of US money and thus he was charged and convicted.

    • Dear Joe,

I suspect many here have run that possibility through their minds.

I hope it’s true of course. I hope it’s a libertarian strategy to plant one of “us” inside the power structure. A “double agent” as it were.

But alas, I’m not that optimistic. I think Rand Paul is merely another pragmatic politician whose number one priority is getting elected.

As the tagline from the classic 1972 political satire “The Candidate,” starring Robert Redford put it,

“Nothing matters more than winning. Not even what you believe in. ”

Again, I hope you’re right and I’m wrong. I would prefer that.

    • Joe:

This is the point I was alluding to above; I think Rand himself probably believes that to some degree. I think, however, it’s also the *wrong* choice, and I think the quest for power is destroying him faster than he realises.

  7. Inasmuch as there is an “us” (and to be honest, the concept of thinking in terms of “us” kind of makes my skin creep), Rand Paul has always been pretty vehement about not being part of it. He’s gone to great lengths to deny — explicitly — that he’s a libertarian, and has consistently reinforced the idea that he is instead a conservative. He’s always been rather hawkish, at least compared to his father, though I’ll grant that this is surely the most warmongering Randism I’ve experienced.

I have an utterly baseless suspicion that Rand Paul doesn’t really believe this. I think he views himself as just “playing the game” — saying and doing what he thinks he has to to accumulate more power so he can finally implement some Change We Can Believe In. His father, after all, accomplished precisely nothing in terms of actual influencing of the government in his entire career. If I’m right, and Rand is just engaging in “politicking,” he’s clearly missed the forest for the trees; he’s so focused on the presidency (and why? So he can “do good?” Doing good starts at the bottom, not at the top) that he’s lost sight of the massive evils he’s enabling and empowering on his way up.

I don’t get the sense Rand Paul started out as a bloodthirsty murderer of Crimeans. I think rather he’s served as the prime example of how quickly — and how thoroughly! — power will destroy you.

    • Darien wrote, “He’s gone to great lengths to deny — explicitly — that he’s a libertarian, and has consistently reinforced the idea that he is instead a conservative. ”

When he made appearances and gave speeches at his father’s rallies during the last presidential run he sure didn’t come across as conservative or go to Any length to show he wasn’t a libertarian. So I can see why a person might have the thought he’s playing a role for an objective.

            http://birdsblog.blogspot.com/2007/02/obama-collision-of-race-culture-and.html

“In the eyes of many members of the Black community, Obama is not truly “black.”

This interpretation isn’t based on Obama’s mixed blood necessarily (his mother is Caucasian),

but rather on his father’s history – Obama’s father was an African man who immigrated from Kenya to the United States.

Obama isn’t centered in the African-American culture – he is not a descendant of West African slaves and has not borne the emotional and historical baggage associated with that heritage –he is not truly an African-American.

In the black culture, Obama is not a true brotha – but an adopted brotha. He’s the red-headed stepchild “you get to slap around a little bit and people won’t care.”

How is one’s culture determined? By race? By shared experiences? By geographical affiliations? Can you assert your culture inclusions by yourself, or must you accept them being imposed upon you by outsiders?

    • Hi Darien,

Even if he is merely trying to “play the game” in order to achieve “change we can believe in,” he has ruined himself – as other-than-another-Republican, at any rate – by embracing the same Global Hegemon positions espoused by such as McCain and Graham. Me-tooing them leaves us with what, exactly? Another turgid war monger and auhthoritarian statist who has lost any basis for scaling back authoritarian government because he’s accepted every premise thereof – from endorsing Social Security to braying for the “international community” (read: the US government and its poodles) to stomp about the world like a demented Jolly Green Giant, imposing the “democracy” at bayonet-point.

He’s a fraud riding his father’s coat-tails. He’d be exactly nowhere were his last name not Paul.

Once people realize he is just another Graham or McCain or Christie, he’ll achieve the obscurity he so richly deserves.

      • Completely agreed. I’m never in support of believing in politicians to begin with, but even if you’re inclined to, it’s never been more clear that Rand is just not a correct choice.

      • I disagree with you here, eric. That’s not to say that I could morally justify what Rand’s doing, but I don’t put him on the same level/scale as those guys at all.

Reading what Rand actually said, I see no indication that he necessarily wants war with Russia. I suspect that he doesn’t, but the idiotic neocons will nonetheless conclude that he does. Note specifically what he said. He says that Russian aggression should be “Condemned.” This is a hint in my mind that he does not stand with those who want to PHYSICALLY ATTACK Russia over this.

Of course, even if Rand doesn’t want physical conflict, he’s certainly trying to make certain people think he is, and that’s uncomfortable to me. The more I immerse myself in Christianity the less I care about “politics”, and the more I hate that game. I don’t like the game Rand’s playing. Depending on how much he continues to play it between now and 2016, I’ll probably throw him a vote, but I’m not going to promote him or campaign for him. But, I still think he’s at least to some extent playing the game. I think he’s intelligent enough to know where war with Russia would lead, and I think Ron is moral enough that he’d distance himself from Rand if Rand got THAT bad.

Not thrilled with Rand, but he’s far better than McCain, Graham, or Christie. That’s not even on the same playing field. To me its like comparing George Washington to Abe Lincoln. Not saying any of them were wonderful, but Washington was at least admirable some (most?) of the time, whereas Lincoln was a tyrant all the time.

  8. In my best Gomer Pyle voice – surprise, surprise, surprise, you registered republican hope for chang’ers.

Maybe the caring Teleprompter in Chief and his multicultural cabinet of FeminNazi war-hawk pervs think the Crimea needs Obamacare, and Putin won’t slip it to them like we will.

    • Hi Gary,

This one really could go bad in a hurry.

Because it’s not – as informed observers understand – about the “self determination” of Crimea, or the sovereignty of Ukraine. It’s about money – dollars vs. hard currency – with energy as the fulcrum. Russia (Putin) is sitting on a literal bonanza of natural gas, which he apparently wants to sell to Western Europe for other-than-dollars. This constitutes a threat to the petro dollar regime the significance of which cannot be overstated. If Putin begins to sell energy for other-than-dollars, look out. It will go hot. Because the US – the powers that control it – realize that will mean The End for the petro-dollar system.

      • Agreed Eric. It is always a bankers war. There are literally thousands and millions dying around the globe in dictator dirt countries, and Mr. O never even thinks or mentions those. But a resource or pipeline pass through country voting in a non petro dollar choice will not be tolerated. Game on for Syria and Iran if they can get traction in the Crimea. No adult kids will be safe from the military draft on that day.

But this time O man and his 3-stooges talking goons threatening Russians with stupid words and dumb-ass threats like 3’rd graders takes the cake. They have lost the media war, and only have their three letter propaganda networks to use. Any public support for a war-for-no-reason vaporizes by the minute. Ukraine may just be his political Waterloo.

        • “Any public support for a war-for-no-reason vaporizes by the minute. Ukraine may just be his political Waterloo.”

          I think so, too.

Putin is not a man to be fucked with lightly. Neither is Russia.

Obama is literally lighting matches by the gas pumps.

          • Putin is not a man to be fucked with lightly. Neither is Russia.

This should be obvious to everyone but anencephalic infants and plant life. The fact that it is a reality that appears to have eluded our “betters” means that we’re even more thoroughly fucked than most of us realize.

          • Also, you can be sure mainland China will be glad to help out.

Again, without military aggression. But merely by refusing to continue taking bogus US fiat currency/credit that they know will never be paid back because it can’t be paid back.

See Mike Maloney for the reason why.

Russian lawmakers ask President Obama to impose sanctions on them all

The State Duma has passed a motion suggesting that the US and EU extend the freshly introduced sanctions to all Russian MPs rather than a limited group of officials, defying western pressure just hours before Russia and Crimea signed a federation treaty.

The motion was supported by a unanimous vote on Tuesday morning. It was prepared the day before by all four parliamentary parties after representatives of the United States and the European Union said they were slapping sanctions, such as visa bans and asset freezes, on a number of Russian officials who are seen as “key ideologists and architects” of the policy towards Ukraine.

The State Duma motion reads that the US President’s decree was limiting the rights of Russian citizens and that similar discriminatory measures were approved by foreign ministers of the EU nations.

In a speech MP Mikhail Markelov (Fair Russia) called the move by the US State Department, President Obama and the European Union “an absurd attempt”, and suggested that the US punished all lower house members. “As long as they stress that MP Lyudmila Mizulina is on the blacklist, they should also impose sanctions on all 436 MPs who voted for the law that protects our children from gay propaganda,” Markelov noted.

          • “Russian lawmakers ask President Obama to impose sanctions on them all”

            HA! They’re calling his bluff.

It’s funny. Even kind of cool.
Shades of Braveheart mooning the opposition.

But at the same time,… They’re calling his bluff.

            • Putin must be laughing himself silly.

I do not like the man, but I respect him – as anyone who knows his bio ought to.

It’s downright funny imagining a “community organizer” shyster of the third tier at best going heads-up against a KGB Colonel and karate expert who knows how to kick ass, personally.

A high yeller “city boy” is messing with a serious white person… .

          • Helot, does that site have an article pertaining to my inquiry? I do like the site though and I’m following it now, so thanks.

Gary, that’s always the backup plan… But I’m reluctant to permanently change my life and isolate myself from everything that I know and understand. I know it is a better alternative than death though.

          • If you don’t want to permanently change your life and isolate (or at least distance) yourself from everything that you know, then, no.

If, you seek a possible alternative than death, and suffering, then, yes.

However; it’s more of a, ‘keep your options open’ kind of thing.

For a long time, in a lot of sectors of america, those who sought ‘an out’ in Canada during the war against Vietnam were seen as worse than dirt. (Better to be thought of as dirt, than be under it?)
Then something happened, I think, and a lot of people saw things differently.
I have heard that history does not repeat, but it rhymes.

            Stuff to know.

Or, you could learn medicine and become a medic so you could sing songs to comfort those who died in their foxholes before they turned 21?

I knew a guy who did that.
            I admire him.
            I pity him.

Seems to me his dragging people through the mud and out of a hole was a bit different than the guy recently who was a doctor in Afghanistan while his daughter was a porn star at, what was it, Notre Dame (?)
Or, maybe not? …But I digress.

It probably won’t come to that, they have to exhaust the welfare line first, don’t they?

Anyway, it’s always good to have options.

          • @Brandjoin – If you are worried about combat service (I assume you are for your own reasons) get yourself well versed in CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTION before you need it.

A conscientious objector is one who is opposed to serving in the armed forces and/or bearing arms on the grounds of moral or religious principles. The local board will decide whether to grant or deny a CO classification based on the evidence a registrant has presented.

            WHO QUALIFIES?
Beliefs which qualify a registrant for CO status may be religious in nature, but don’t have to be. Beliefs may be moral or ethical; however, a man’s reasons for not wanting to participate in a war must not be based on politics, expediency, or self-interest. In general, the man’s lifestyle prior to making his claim must reflect his current claims.

          • Garysco, if that fails. I seem to recall from the older guys, it was best to learn how to fly, as the Air Force was the best way to not cooperate while cooperating. Does that sound about right?

I wonder, were guys sent to The Brig for the duration of the war for simply saying ‘Up Yours’, and what was that like? Or, were they all sent to do the boom chuga luga no matter what?

          • This is a question for each individual to answer for himself.

I personally would refuse to accept involuntary servitude – to say nothing of being used as a pawn to kill people who’ve done nothing to me, personally.

          • I often listen to an FM station through the day when I can get one. Not just one but a few as I move from one coverage to another. Of the major players, the govt. has lots of commercials(yeah for govt. type). One is young people speaking of getting good(govt.)jobs. A certain job is mentioned and then somebody says condescendingly “oh poor (man’s name) you don’t qualify, you haven’t signed up for Selective Service”. Now that’s a typical thing in this country. Women want to be on top and are getting their way while it’s “men only’ who can be conscripted(turned into slaves). In these commercials it’s always a feminine voice that gives the “punch line”. And here’s a kicker to that, some of the jobs are for insurance companies. So how does that work out? Just fine evidently.

The power of the female over the male reminds me of East of Eden, a quite telling book, a book with much foresight. And in the book it’s inculcated throughout the entire society as well as control thereof(govt.).

      • Dear Eric,

“This one really could go bad in a hurry. ”

        It sure as hell could!

Putin is not Noriega, Hussein, or Khadaffi. Russia, Russia! is not Panama, Iraq, or Libya.

Russia may be much weaker than it once was, but it still has tens of thousands of nukes. Not just a handful, like North Korea. And they can be delivered to every major US city, from sea to shining sea.

Barry O’Bomber and the Neo-Cons are latter day Jack D. Rippers. They are totally mad.

And, even if it never comes to that, Putin can, as you correctly noted, pull the trigger peacefully — monetarily.

If he does, it’s game over. All that exported inflation, all those legally counterfeited dollars, will come back to the USSA to roost. The ratio of money to currency will reveal the actual value of the USD. Conservatively, 20,000 USD/oz of gold. Perhaps 50,000 USD/oz of gold.

      • Eric, “…a serious white man…”

This is an astute observation. Obuma has never had his positions or actions tested. A knife needs to be sharpened by a hard stone. Putin has been sharpened to a fine edge. Obuma is about as sharp as a bowling ball. But the danger is how will he react when finally confronted. Will he have what is called a “****** moment”? (FTR, I am not talking race here. Well maybe a little…)

    • Thanks for the excellent tip. After checking out the site I ran across an article there that pretty much sums things up for those who don’t have a lot of time to invest reading: http://www.economicpolicyjournal.com/2012/11/an-open-letter-to-libertarians-dont-be.html

Although I admire Ron Paul a lot I have realized for quite some time that hoping for a political savior (an oxymoron in this day and age) is delusional and haven’t stepped into a voting booth for years. On a positive note, however, as discomfort and disgust levels increase Americans may finally wake up in sufficient numbers to make a difference. They can start by rejecting the old statolatry myths that they’ve been taught to believe since childhood. It’s a dim glimmer of hope at best and I certainly wouldn’t hold my breath waiting for that miracle to happen either.

      • Dear Marc,

        Thanks for the Wenzel link.

The comments section really hashed out the pros and cons of supporting Rand Paul.

Personally I’ve come to the conclusion that any endorsement of “authority” whatsoever merely helps forge the chains around our necks.

See: Etienne de la Boetie, Larkin Rose

That includes voting for the least of all evils.

  9. Eric,

Even if TPTB controlled the entire world, it would not be enough. They will soon want your very soul & mind in addition to your body.

Rand just provides more proof that people should not blindly believe in any single individual.

    in Paragraph 5 —

Putin threatens to do this. Ergo, Putin must go. Crime is merely the excuse.

    Should Crime be Crimea?

  10. I wonder if this whole Russia vs. USSA posturing is real. Let’s face it, the war on drugs has fizzled, with much of the populace squarely behind decriminalization of pot at least. The war on terror has lost its ability to terrify because too much of the public realizes they lost a lot of freedom and privacy with no gain in personal safety. The also know that the most recent incidents of terrorism are glaring false flag operations brought to you by biggov.org themselves; just like the make believe Chechen terrorist threat in Mother Russia.

More and more states here are bowing up on the federales. The winds of nullification and state level legal intervention against the thieving varmints from D.C. are blowing strong and hot. What to do? What to do? Oh…I know…let’s rekindle the cold war! Nothing like the old “Russia’s- pointing-nuclear-weapons-at-us-go-get-under-your-desk-and-put-your-head-between-your-knees” propaganda for conditioning everyone to hump that U.S. flagpole, now is there?

Do I trust Rand Paul? Heck no, never did; he’s a national level politician which means he’s an actor which by extension means he can look you in the eye and lie to you convincingly. Do I believe the D.C. / Kremlin asshats are going to blow up the world? No, they want the money and power that conventional warfare and oil / gas sales bring. They don’t want to die with the serfs in nuclear winter.

Besides, all of the meaningul oil / gas production is already controlled by the uber wealthy transnational thieves. You know, the same ones that control virtually all of the banking through fiat money. They prefer to stay out of sight and out of mind, but they do keep their hands up the butts of men like Vladimir P. and Barry O. to make those boys’ lips move. If either of them steps out of line, they will Richard Nixon or Jack Kennedy his ass. Bet on it. This is just the latest move to frighten the lemmings away from demanding a reckoning. Don’t be a lemming.

    • Boothe wrote, “I wonder if this whole Russia vs. USSA posturing is real.”

It could be a fake-out move. Over at The Daily Bell they say the decriminalization of weed is a program TPTB are pushing, rather than the war on some drugs is fizzling.

I intend to read this article from The Daily Bell which, from the title, seems to support your position:

‘As Predicted, Ukraine Crisis Used to Argue for a Centralized Europe’

  11. Is this a part of a purging of the right-libertarians from the GOP, and from libertarian ideals? Borg-ifying those who remain. It seems like that’s his only purpose:

Bad News for Rand Paul in Iowa

“The alleged “Paul faction” in the Iowa GOP has pissed off so many that Rand’s presidential primary chances are zip. Given the RNC’s drastic restructuring of the 2016 primaries, that one state could actually knock him out of the game”

    http://www.economicpolicyjournal.com/2014/03/bad-news-for-rand-paul-in-iowa.html

    On Neocon Libertarians

“They want war in Syria, Ukraine and Iran. Interestingly, they will often couch their calls for battle by propagandizing that their demands are “humanitarian” to remove “brutes.”” …

    http://www.economicpolicyjournal.com/2014/03/on-neocon-libertarians.html

  12. I was having a great day until I read this article.

What we don’t need is for Obummer to have support from the GOP for his foreign escapades.

As if the world wasn’t already in a “world of hurt” because of the plummeting dollar, now the INSANE USgov.org goes around poking the bear to try and stir up more trouble.

In the words of Charlie Brown, “Good grief!”
