Brian Miner decided to take the law into his own hands and honked his horn repeatedly, prompting the officer to pull over.

In a video posted to YouTube by Miner, the officer undergoes an amazing transformation once he realizes he’s being filmed.

Pulled over: The officer approached Miner's truck to ask him why he honked his horn at him and forced him to pull over

Pulled over: The officer approached Miner’s truck to ask him why he honked his horn at him and forced him to pull over.

None too pleased at being pulled over by Miner, the officer is confrontational and resorts to outright lies when Miner questions him on his actions.

‘You pulled me over with your horn, I don’t know what that was about,’ says the officer.

‘Because you were speeding and had your cellphone in your hand,’ replies Miner.

‘Police officers can actually use technology when we’re driving,’ the officer responds, stretching the truth somewhat.

‘Oh, so you guys are above the law?’ the trucker asks.

The officer asks Miner for his license and the officer questions him on how fast he was driving.

‘You passed me! Are you above the speed limit as well?’ says Miner, adding that the officer was going well above 70mph, the speed limit.

Cop on camera: When he realizes he's being filmed, the officer retracts a previous statement about police being allowed to use technology while driving and says in fact, he doesn't remember using his phone at all

The officer tells Miner he’s going to write him a ticket for ‘unlawful use of horn.’

That’s when Miner lets the officer know that he’s being recorded. And strangely, when the officer begins to try and recover the situation.

He claims that he was traveling at 70mph and then tells Miner he’s decided not to write him a ticket.

‘I didn’t want to hurt your record,’ he says.

He then says he’s done an inspection on the trucks and that Miner has no violations, ‘which will look good to your company.’

Turning the tables: Miner ends the video by turning the camera on himself and saying, 'And that's what happens when they know you're recording.'

He even offers to put away Miner’s registration papers before speaking to Miner, man to man.

‘Honestly, I wasn’t paying attention to my speed,’ says the officer.

He also now says he doesn’t remember having his phone on him and that it is not OK for him to be on his phone while driving.

‘We’re all out here sharing the same road. You should be held accountable to the same standards I am.’

‘Enjoy that violation-free MCS inspection,’ the officer says, telling Miner to ‘take care.’

Miner turns the camera on himself.

‘And that’s what happens when they know you’re recording,’ he says.

    • Dear Rev,

      Yes! So very true.

And for the amusement of my fellow pedants…

“Niemand ist mehr Sklave, als der sich für frei hält, ohne es zu sein.”

      • More quotes, for clover.

“It is incredible how as soon as a people become subject, it
promptly falls into such complete forgetfulness of its freedom
that it can hardly be roused to the point of regaining it,
obeying so easily and willingly that one is led to say that this
people has not so much lost its liberty as won its enslavement.”

What is shows if the police trying to stop the people that are abusing them. If you say that police go overbaor looking for people that break the law then if that is the case why enable anyone to be on a PUBLIC highway.

Yes Eric I would say that if there waa a convicted child pornographer that you should be able to search his home with a warrent particularly. On the roadway drivng drunk you can actully kill many people or maybe worse, disable them for life. en a few years ago rather than now.

Would you say it is fine for a person to shoot a gun through a crowd? That is like letting drunks drive down the road.

Gasoline type engines probably have more fuel sources used today than diesels do. There is gasoline, ethenol, hydrogen just among the few.

Not very many people would be able to use deep frying grease for their diesel engines. All of the frying grease in the US would not be enough to power the vehicles in a small town. Yes there are a handfull that already use it in their engines but there are not enough fast food places.

You are wrong about maditory insurance. I have driven for many years and I have never had any bodily fluids violated as in this article.

I used to believe in the “rule of law.”
That was before I came to the realization that the “rule of law” was nothing more than “rule by those who make, interpret, and enforce the laws.”
Actually, if more LEOs were willing to back down the way this one was, America would not be in as bad shape as it is.
But the way things are going, I wouldn’t be surprised if LEOs began confiscating cameras and destroying evidence, making videos like this harder to make.

      You’re joking, right?

      They’re already doing that.

      Roman Centurions can do that.
Ya, America is, ‘The New’ Rome. …And most people are Ok with that.

      Rock on, slaves. ?Psft.

Pardon me for being naive, but I’m surprised my fellow american’t’s are Ok with that.

…But hell, what else would I expect from a nation of zombies?

[That IS why the zombie theme is so popular these days, just about everybody else thinks so too,… even the zombies!]

      • Dear Helot,

        “You’re joking, right?

        They’re already doing that.”

Yes I was joking. I was trying to be subtle in my irony, but was probably too understated for clarity’s sake. My fault.

Some whistleblower sites have already taken note of such outrages.

    • Yes… CRApple already has added that “feature” to their phone. The phone can be deactivated via GPS “barrier” so you cannot record the pigs in action.

Seriously, more and more, my “way” is more honest, and in the long run – less costly.

      If that doesn’t make you depressed…. 😉

      • RE: “Seriously, more and more, my “way” is more honest, and in the long run – less costly.”

        No.

        It’s not less costly.

I don’t agree with that pathway, but One thing you gotta understand – from my study of history – in the long run, it costs Double, every stinkin’ time.
….And in The End, it’s Not, “more honest”, in fact, judging by history, it’s Less honest and nothing but a crutch for TPTB to get a leg Up on the common man.

History says that’s true, every single time.

Not that I don’t understand your sentiment. How-freaking-otherwise: Prove me otherwise.

        • Also, Ha! “CRApple”

Microsoft is right there beneath them.

          …And then Google.
…And then the rest of the sell-out bastards.

          Ha! “CRApple”

  4. I like the mask (the “V” for vendetta) in the cab.

The trucker is on the mark: ‘And that’s what happens when they know you’re recording,’ he says.

While not all LEOs will lie, enough do.

Why do the courts treat the word of a LEO as holy writ (in the absence of any other evidence)? It is in the court’s best interest.

    • Check out this video Mith:

      http://larryhannigan.com/noosa_court.htm

Courts these days enjoy the ignorance of the uninformed and ignore the required “separation of powers”. Further, these courts with just one Judge are the same as the Star Chamber courts of old that were outlawed in England in 1641! It’s simply a revenue raising operation at the expense of private liberties.

The above video is a defendant taking on the judge and winning. We have the strange situation in Oz where our grabbermint seal was changed, bearing no crown, and the seal is registered in Washington as a business entity.

Yup. The seal MUST be the seal of England as we are still a Monarchy, but was changed unconstitutionally in 1973 by the Whitlam grabbermint, so he was sacked. Luckily he also brought in the the Capital Punishment Abolition Act. I would have too, because what he did was treason.

But that act was also enacted unconstitutionally, so lawfully, capital punishment is still on the books.

The defendant in the video is challenging the judge to show his Oath of Office, which should be headed with the seal of England, but he (and the judge) knows it doesn’t.

Thing is, any order we comply with that’s not headed, or derived from the seal of England, is Treason.

      • ЯΞ√ΩLUT↑☼N,

The video brought a smile to me. It is fun when you can use the rules of the game to your advantage.

I wonder what the judge did afterwards?

In the states I would have expected the speaker to be handcuffed or worse. (sad to say 🙁 )

        • Glad you liked it Mith. here’s an audio clip you’ll like, it’s probably the same defendant biting the judge’s head off. It doesn’t end with a conclusion though, but I bet he ended up walking out without penalty. I’m not sure if that would work in the USSA, considering English rule is no longer active.

          http://larryhannigan.com/claiming_your_rights_in_court.htm

Courts here (and probably everywhere ) use Maritime Law, because at least here it’s written in S. 76 of our Constitution, that parliament make laws of Admiralty and Maritime.

However, inferior Maritime law is inapplicable on land, which is the job of superior Common Law, but the courts lie and prey on the ignorance of everybody and say common law has no place in their court, same as Constitutional law.

        • I’ll add these as reference, in which case EVERYBODY has the lawful right to challenge the court’s jurisdiction:

          A) Hagens v Lavine, 415 U.S. 533 – “Once jurisdiction is challenged, it must be proven.”

          B) Standard and Olsen, 74 S. Ct. 768 – “No sanctions can be imposed absent proof of jurisdiction.”

          C) Basso v Utah Power and Light Co., 495 2nd 906 at 910 – “Jurisdiction can be challenged at any time, even on final determination”

          D) Thompson v Tolmie, 2 Pet. 157, 7 L.Ed. 381; Griffith v Frazier, 8 Cr. 9, 3L. Ed. 471 – “Where there is an absence of jurisdiction, all administrative and judicial proceedings are a nullity and confer no right, offer no protection, and afford no justification, and may be rejected upon direct collateral attack.”

          E) Bowers v Smith (1953) 1 ALL ER 320 (Re Clarke Hall) and (Morrison on Children, 7 Ed, P3) – “… the first business of the court is to try to issue whether or not the case is brought within the terms of statute, and only if this be proven by proper evidence can the court proceed to decide upon treatment.”

          • RE: “EVERYBODY has the lawful right to challenge the court’s jurisdiction:”

            Lovely words.
            Awesome post. (Gary, whatchya think?)
It’s too bad I’m surrounded by bootlickers who love their overlords.

I’m not saying I’m anything special.
After-all, I obey their “laws” too.
            But still,… I despise them.
I get the feeling those around me Do Not.
            And that’s some sad shit.

          • Dear Rev,

I heartily endorse inside the system challenges, in today’s limited context.

For example, I say, get on a jury and nullify the verdict if it is a victimless “crime.”

I would add however that we need to avoid ever losing sight of the fact that any “sovereignty,” “authority,” and “jurisdiction” they unilaterally assert is fundamentally bullshit — from a natural rights perspective.

A robed judge, after all, is nothing more than a “consiglieri” for the mob family which goes by the alias “The Government.”

In the long run, the only strategy consistent with the NAP, is utter repudiation of the Myth of Authority.

          • RE: ““writ” the judge. ”

            Are you kidding me>?

            “writ” the judge. ” ?

Might as well be, lite the sparkler.

            Same effect.

          • @Helot – Not so. I saw one judge in Santa Monica get the “writ” treatment by the public defenders office. He sat in his courtroom all alone for two weeks until he caved. It’s not that hard, and it is a “right”.

          • RE: “He sat in his courtroom all alone for two weeks until he caved.”

While I think that’s Great,… I think that’s the exception to, The Rule.

…And, it’s a statist approach to things. As IF things could be fixed from the inside, Jackie Brown?

          • I remember my Ron Paul friend talking about how he was in court, he tried to mention The Constitution in his defense.
The judge said The Constitution doesn’t apply in – His – courtroom.
            End of debate.

That – there – is, The Rule.

Some people might get lucky doing this or that, but that’s how it goes for most. IMHO, YMMV.

          • Dear Helot,

“The judge said The Constitution doesn’t apply in – His – courtroom.
            End of debate.”

Reminds me of the SWAT team leader who yelled to his fellow thugs while serving a no knock warrant,

“Watch out! This guy’s dangerous. He’s a constitutionalist!”

Kafkaesque is the only word for it.

    • Ah… fresh Clover!

Well, “Big Boy,” I assume you’re a cop yourself – or perhaps just a cop apologist?

The trucker rightly exposed the hypocrisy and arrogance of a costumed “hero” who spends his days issuing tickets for “speeding” and gabbling on a cell phone… while doing the same himself with impunity – and you object to his being called out over it.

That makes you the dick in my book.

      And a Clover, too.

    • Since you are so supportive of everything these “heroes” do, tell us, would you consider the following to be acceptable “collateral damage” in the War on Drugs? After all, the policemen are your friends, they are just trying to heroically “protect” us from the evil of people ingesting substances not approved by our masters:

      http://www.salon.com/2014/06/24/a_swat_team_blew_a_hole_in_my_2_year_old_son/

Seems fair enough, right? You have to break a few eggs to make an omelet, after all.

  5. The ISP troopers do 90-120mph on the chicago area 55mph interstate sections. They then have the nerve to drop out of hyperspace and ticket people for going tens of mph slower than they were.

  6. Kudos to the truck driver, holding the LEO’s feet to the fire. Ironic that those who hold “THE LAW” in such high esteem are so often shown to behave the most “unlawfully”. Then there are the regular folks like me who obey the law, not because it’s the law, but because it’s how I would behave even if there were no laws!

  7. A ticket for “unlawful use of horn”??? Our masters have all the bases covered; guess they can ticket you for improper breathing technique too. I think this trucker was lucky that officer badass didn’t just blow him away and say he feared for his saaaaafety because said trucker tried to run him off the road.
