Snow Clovers!

Here’s a vid of some snow Clovers….

It’s as if they believe that when the first drop of rain hits the pavement, traction has been reduced by 50 percent and so they must slow down by 50 percent. But they’re already traveling at short bus speeds… before the first drop falls. The dumbed-down speed limit being Warp Speed to them. So now you’ve got people who operate at 48 in 55s on sunny, dry days… crippling down to 35 when there’s a little spritz coming down.

Why don’t they just stay home when it snows? Or rains, for that matter?

  1. Where’s the snow?

The original snow clover video I posted some years ago:

And before the troll chimes about me using the horn, audible signal is by law:

    (625 ILCS 5/11-703) (from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 11-703)
    (…)
    (b) Except when overtaking and passing on the right is permitted, the driver of an overtaken vehicle shall give way to the right in favor of the overtaking vehicle on audible signal and shall not increase the speed of his vehicle until completely passed by the overtaking vehicle.

    • 15mph in a 50mph!!! yikes!!!

This is a great example of how a SLOW driver is dangerous.

I live in the Chicago area too, and that is far from the worst the area has to offer weather wise, that clover must go 5mph when it gets worse…….. Maybe he gets out and pushes…………….

    • Eric_G,

You should see the local food stores when there is a hint of snow in the forecast.

Shelves appear as if they were attacked by hordes of locust cleaning the shelves bare. (This is especially true for items such as milk, bread, eggs, and meat.)

It’s as if people expect to be snowed in for a week or more. I do not know how it is in other parts of the country, but around here most roads are clear of snow within one day of the snow (less than 12″) event.
