FuhrerPrinzip

Free people don’t look for “leadership.” But that’s what every candidate for the presidency – regardless of partei – is offering to give them.leadership lead

Such people deserve what they will get.

They have, after all asked for it.

Most Americans do not know what the German word, fuhrer means.

It does not mean “Hitler.”

It means, leader.

Hitler was Der Fuhrer; the leader.

The Germans of the Hitler era loved having a leader. Being led.

And leading, too.

They even had an expression for it: fuhrerprinzip, the leadership principle. You obeyed your superiors and your subordinates obeyed you in turn – with the leader (Der Fuhrer) at the apex of the pyramid.

Americans today are like the Germans were.

Ready for a leader.Great Dictator image

And to be led.

The one requires the other.

This sickness in man was – is – not unique to Germans. It is a canker humanity picked up somewhere from ape to now that itches and comes to the surface regularly, pustulating and red. Germans (Prussians, to be precise about it) were particularly afflicted but the disease is easily spread.

Americans – who have become today’s Prussians – positively crave leadership. Decisiveness, but nor their own. To surrender to a superior will, kind of like you-know-who’s. It explains the almost orgiastic reaction of the audiences at Trump’s events. He is cocky, belligerent, abusive. A business suited version of you-know-who. A leader. He radiates the arrogance of someone who believes he has been anointed to tell others what to do. He is a Great Man.

And the people cheer.Donald Trump Addresses GOP Lincoln Day Event In Michigan

If you listen closely, you can hear the echoes of history; the stamping of feet, the hysterical shrieks of triumph and abasement. Our savior!

Unsere fuhrer...

The others are no better, just less charismatic.

The personally unpleasant Hillary Clinton is just as ready to provide leadership. Desperate to provide it. She, like Trump, knows just what to do.

And her supporters are just as desperate as Trump’s for her to get on with the business of doing it.

Ditto the rest of them. All with “plans” and practically bursting at the seams with eagerness to get their hands on the levers and dials of state power. They each know best.

Better than you, at any rate.Big Brother Hillary

Even Rand Paul – the “Libertarian” Republican – is ready to give you all the leadership you can stand. For instance, he wants to “save” and “fix” the greatest intergenerational wealth transfer scheme ever implemented (you know, Social Security) by double-defrauding younger workers for the benefit of the greedy geezers who demand “their” Social Security payola. Both groups will be told what they’ll do – and what they’ll get. There will be not be a “no thanks, I’d rather provide for my own retirement” option. It is not open for discussion. The only debate is over what you’ll be told. Not whether you’ll be told.

Leadership.

Rand also (like all the others) “stands with Israel,” the lamprey on the flanks of the American taxpayer, which he describes as “America’s longtime friend and ally.”

Because, of course, he (like they) must.

Else he (and they) will not be allowed to provide leadership.leave alone pic

Regardless, leadership we will get. Whether from Trump, Hillary, Rand, Jeb or whoever turns out to be the next avatar of the vox populi.  They will natter amongst themselves, like vultures pecking at the corpse of a musk ox.

Which by the way is us.

There is no alternative to leadership in latter day Weimar America. No candidate running who not only doesn’t want to lead but also despises the idea of being followed.

The whole thing – running for office – necessarily excludes people who don’t want to perch on the corpse (so to speak) and tell you what to do … who have no interest in being told what to do. Such people have no interest in elections.

But – as in Germany all those years ago – such people are now in the minority.

The majority now wants what the Germans once wanted.

And, like them, they’re gonna get it.

But like the Germans of once-upon-a-time, they do not see themselves as the erectors of their own brick ovens (and yes, it will eventually come to that – because it must come to that). When it is all over – if it ever is – they will look back and blame the leaders. Who, they’ll moan, told them what to do.sheep barred

They were only following orders. Just doing their jobs.

They are already saying such things, without the slightest trace of historical irony.

Even the chroniclers of once-upon-a-time missed this critical point. The saltpeter without which the gunpowder can’t be made: The people who demand leadership.

The leader – brownshirted or business-suited – is a non sequitur. The hole in the dam through which the water bursts.

It is the water that decides everything.

And the pressure is building.

  1. Nassim Nicholas Taleb

“Atheists are just modern versions of religious fundamentalists: they both take religion too literally.”

    Question
    https://www.quora.com/What-did-Taleb-mean-by-his-criticism-of-Richard-Dawkins-in-Talebs-Reddit-Ask-Me-Anything-Q-A

What did Taleb mean by his criticism of Richard Dawkins in Taleb’s Reddit Ask Me Anything Q & A?

Taleb’s exact quote on Dawkins was ” His book on religion… He doesn’t understand what belief means, and talks religion confusing pisteic (credere) / epistemic.

Belief in religion is epiphenomenal. Religion is about practice. The real reason is that he doesn’t of course understand probability…”.

    Answer

    Nabeel Qureshi,
    6.8k Views

Religion, according to Taleb, is not a set of scientific, objective claims about the universe; it is a set of practices and rituals that have stood the test of time.

Because Dawkins thinks that religion is a scientific theory about how the world works, he misses the essential aspect of religion.

Taleb also claims that Dawkins doesn’t understand probability.

The central insight here is that what has stood the test of time is, by probability, valuable to humans in some essential way. If it did not, then time would have killed it off. So by dismissing religion, Taleb argues, Dawkins doesn’t comprehend that the rational position is to hold that religion is valuable – for purely probabilistic reasons.

Let’s break down what he said a bit further.

“His book on religion… He doesn’t understand what belief means, and talks religion confusing pisteic (credere) / epistemic.”

Here Taleb says that religion is primarily about trust, or faith; not about the objective, predictive claims that science deals in. ‘Pisteic’ comes from ‘pisteo’, meaning ‘faith’ or ‘trust’.

“Theology only entered religion recently. Mostly AFTER the enlightenment,Atheists are just modern versions of religious fundamentalists: they both take religion too literally.”

“Religion is a creed. Credo=Pisteo=TRUST not BELIEF in the modernistic sense.”

    – In my case, my cavalier brusque treatment (only on the internet, not in real life) of religion is a luxury, because everyone else in my family is religious to some degree or other.

And I absolutely concur with Taleb on this point. Their beliefs, though perhaps not necessarily of much use for determining natural philosophical truths, is absolutely of great value being left the way it is.

The way they’re currently configured is a way that I can rely on and have great faith in.

My only beef is with other people’s beliefs being forcibly imposed on me by outsiders.

Ironically these same believers might claim to be similarly violated by my words and actions, but I would refute that argument, by saying I have no power, nor weight of majority or authority behind anything I write.

If anyone can suggest a way to present a version of this blog that doesn’t challenge deeply held convictions, I would be all for it.

But to make only a “family-friendly” version would be a real tragedy, since there are few or possibly no other sites quite like this that allow such a wide variety of viewpoints and approaches to co-exist.

It’s quite telling that no one is willing to put their money where there mouths are and keep this site in the black each month, and then gently mentioning, if he could keep things “more civil” they would be quite appreciative.

This is space still a free market, and is probably fairly similar to the rest of America as far as values and norms go.

All you have to do is have Mister Franklin and General Ulysses plead your case and ask for some consideration, and you know darn well what the good book says will happen after that.

    • Hi Tor,

To be clear about myself: I am not an atheist. I merely state that I don’t know – and have trouble grokking how anyone can claim to know.

Being open to the possibility that there is more to existence/reality than we can discern or (possibly) are even capable of discerning is not only fine by me, it strikes me as sensible.

But by the same token, insisting that one knows not only that there is a god but the nature of this god and what this god wants is this (but not that) strikes me as nonsensical and demented. There is no more reason for believing in the actuality of the Holy Ghost than there is for believing in the lightning of Zeus. Both are matters of faith – and faith in the possibility or even the likelihood of something beyond our ken ought not to be the same thing as insisting that Jesus Saves (or allah Akbar).

It boggles me that people can’t be happy believing what they want to believe without demanding that others believe it also.

      • I thought about that very thing as I wrote that. Must be Kismet.
        https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kismet_(robot)

Where I think I’m coming from, at the end of the day, is that of a humble usually white, but occasionally black knight chess piece in this dangerous game of LiveActionRolePlay we call life. http://canvas.grolsch.com/sites/default/files/styles/article_large_image_width_930/public/news/images/chess_mel_brooks_history_of_the_world.jpg

By mostly white, I mean on net, I hope to leave the world marginally a better place than I found it.

By occasionally black, I mean as an egoist, in the moment, sometimes I chose actions without regard to consequences, though many times I know full well that what I do is “wrong and will marginally harm others and the worlds around us we all are living in.

Perhaps most perplexingly, as a deconstructionist, I also try to calculate moves that might be made by the lesser 50% of human pawns. And especially the moves of my 37.5% betters ranked as bishops, rooks, queens, and kings.
        https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deconstruction

And by trying to calculate, I mean I act completely out of character and usual context in free radical anarchy mode, where just for the moment, I manage to not only grok another’s point of view, but temporarily ascend to a state of applied grokkage, wherein I’m momentarily able to be the other rank of being for the briefest splinter of mind, time, body, and space.

  2. I am writing to say farewell. I have enjoyed the time spent on this site, but have come to realize that it was a waste. There can be no political solution to what is not a political problem. The problem facing our country (note: not nation) is moral, even, dare I say it, religious. The issue is not just that the gunvermin is collectivist, it is that it is collectivist humanist. If we exchange collectivist humanism for individualist humanism, we may not be any better off, it could even be worse – frying pan/fire.
I know many of you will disagree, some of you vehemently, but what we need to do is repent and turn to God for direction, and He will save us. And if you don’t think you need to be saved, you really don’t understand the problem.

    • Hi Phillip,

I’m saddened by this and hope you’ll reconsider. Because I don’t consider it a waste to propagate worthwhile ideas and – more importantly – to make others aware they are not alone in holding such ideas.

Trust me, I get being frustrated.

But – as dark as things seem – there is also light.

Over the course of the past 30 years, I’ve personally witnessed the evolution in thinking; ideas that were once “extreme” and “radical” are now openly discussed in mainstream circles.

The importance of this can’t be over-emphasized.

On religion: This is a question beyond rational discussion. It is a matter of feeling and personal conscience. The important thing, which does not require religious faith, is accepting the immorality (to use a religious term) of aggression. And that’s the beauty of it. It is a logical axiom; a universal that applies equally to all of us (assuming you do not wish to have violence visited upon yourself…. which is – excepting the mentally disturbed – a universal desire).

Some will claim it does require religion – that all concepts of morality are necessarily religious. That man has no “rights” at all except in a legalistic sense.

Perhaps morality is the wrong word.

Non-aggression is an ethical starting point. It is a way to objectively define – legally – what each of us may and may not do. It is a logical principle. A way to organize human society that is distinct from a society predicated on aggressive violence.

I would prefer to not prey upon others – and that others not prey upon me. Each party profits in that neither party is harmed. We have a clear, defined standard to govern our interactions. One that’s not subject to opinion and feeling.

This strikes me as a very good thing, indeed.

You write that we should “turn to God for direction.” This is a very loaded statement, with lots of unspoken assumptions.

      Which god, for openers?

Obviously, you presume the Christian god. But even he takes multiple forms, depending on which variety of Christianity one practices.

And what are his directions, exactly?

These, too, are not clearly defined. And some that are defined are almost universally ignored – by practicing Christians themselves.

I do not mean to insult your faith. I merely observe that it is a matter of faith. And that others have different faiths, no less valid (at least, by any standard of fact or of logic).

As a child, I often asked – why? – about this or that.

If no rational answer – based on tangible evidence, on facts, on logic – could be provided, and instead I was told “because” (the secular version of “it is written,” or “have faith”) I would not accept whatever I was being told as binding.

I’m happy to discuss matters of faith. But I get a little worried when people demand that their faith be accepted as though it were proven fact.

  3. Why are Jews the the eternal enemy of der Führers that be. Because they’re too literate and wily, and they spot the brown shirted zombies a mile away.

I admire and study them, but I don’t want to be like kike. I’m no nationalist. Nor much of an observant white even. And Judeoism has been a huge dissapointment and albatross for me all my life.

I’ll get my fill vicariously. The UK church does seem an asset and help in some ways for the Commonwealthy set.

The UK are seen as the Jews best option. So they align with Britannia for now, because they are mostly allowed to be Menschen Going Their Own Way. And they’re more than happy to help them culturally rule the world and serve up the cutsie clownsie menschje Brady Bunch sitcoms and feed the goyim dreams for however long their gifted writers are called to serve.

How are such unimaginative cabbage eaters going to incarcerate a people against their will, and call them cultural parasites. When they never consented to being a part of your so called culture and statist reich breeding regimens in the first place.

Strip them bare of your fatherland’s artifacts at the gate as you Let Those People Go. But don’t kid yourself that they’re the cause of your problems and not an effect of your statist foolishness.

I guess Jews are merely the kings of Africa though. For all their intellectualisms they don’t seem to have the gumption and resolve to scratch the ground and till the bowels of the earth to merit their own independence.

Always reliant on Slavs, Americans, or Arabs for something. Never truly building something of their own. Always sticking their long probosces into everyone else’s koolaid. And not even just to serve their superpower protectors.

But because they’re oftentimes insufferable clover nudniks far too often. Who never even harvest a hill of beans. Much less amounted to one.

  4. Dear Jean,

I’m glad to be apart of anything that helps you find your truth.

For I find your freely arrived at truths to be self-evident.

That you and every other man are by nature equally free and independent and have certain inherent rights, of which, when you enter into a state of society, such as this website, cannot, by any compact, be deprived or divested from you or your posterity.

Including, but not limited to the right to live and assure the survival of the dream of you and yours that you dream together and for you is y’alls reality.

Be this chosen reality, whatever pursuit of the enjoyment of life and liberty, and using whatever chosen means of acquiring and possessing property, and of pursuing and obtaining happiness and safety, and everything else you find good and desirable.

Though despicable me, of the few, and not minion mass man, of the many, I shall be good help to you nevertheless, http://images2.fanpop.com/image/photos/14400000/Gru-and-Agnes-despicable-me-14447103-720-368.jpg

if you want me again look for me under your boot-soles, or my emissary sent to you the among the like-minded of any of the 50 billion others of my kind, though you will hardly know who I am or what I mean, but I will filter and fiber your blood, and navigate the heme of your time and space in my vessels, failing to fetch me at first, keep encouraged, missing me one place, search another, I shall soon stop some where and be waiting for you.

  5. Not sure car lovers aren’t clovers also. Look what they did to the horse. It’s been a long train of self-abuses.

Which clovers got rid of the trains.

And what about the clovers who got rid of the original mundanes, the tomahawks and canoes guys.

What kind of clover hates tomahawks and canoes.

  6. Talk about kicking yourself in the nuts. Why was it America’s concern that Russia changed from a monarchy with a brutal feudalism more harsh than U.S. pre-civil war plantations.

We fought collectivism by embracing collectivism and bankrupting the wealthy class?

Personally having wealth is far superior to controlling a public corporation with paper wealth.

Clovers who love the Road to Serfdom are worse than clovers on the road.

  7. But aren’t many wives and girlfriends only there for the FOOD, SHELTER, and CLOTHING?

It also doesn’t seem that hard to deduce.

    Marriage and Love
    https://www.marxists.org/reference/archive/goldman/works/1914/marriage-love.htm

THE popular notion about marriage and love is that they are synonymous, that they spring from the same motives, and cover the same human needs. Like most popular notions this also rests not on actual facts, but on superstition.

There are to-day large numbers of men and women to whom marriage is naught but a farce, but who submit to it for the sake of public opinion. At any rate, while it is true that some marriages are based on love, and while it is equally true that in some cases love continues in married life, I maintain that it does so regardless of marriage, and not because of it.

Marriage is primarily an economic arrangement, an insurance pact. It differs from the ordinary life insurance agreement only in that it is more binding, more exacting.

Its returns are insignificantly small compared with the investments. In taking out an insurance policy one pays for it in dollars and cents, always at liberty to discontinue payments.

If, how ever, woman’s premium is a husband, she pays for it with her name, her privacy, her self-respect, her very life, “until death doth part.” Moreover, the marriage insurance condemns her to life-long dependency, to parasitism, to complete uselessness, individual as well as social.

Behind every marriage stands the life-long environment of the two sexes; an environment so different from each other that man and woman must remain strangers.

Separated by an insurmountable wall of superstition, custom, and habit, marriage has not the potentiality of developing knowledge of, and respect for, each other, without which every union is doomed to failure.

From infancy, almost, the average girl is told that marriage is her ultimate goal; therefore her training and education must be directed towards that end. Like the mute beast fattened for slaughter, she is prepared for that.

Yet, strange to say, she is allowed to know much less about her function as wife and mother than the ordinary artisan of his trade. It is indecent and filthy for a respectable girl to know anything of the marital relation.

Oh, for the inconsistency of respectability, that needs the marriage vow to turn something which is filthy into the purest and most sacred arrangement that none dare question or criticize. Yet that is exactly the attitude of the average upholder of marriage.

The prospective wife and mother is kept in complete ignorance of her only asset in the competitive field—sex. Thus she enters into life-long relations with a man only to find herself shocked, repelled, outraged beyond measure by the most natural and healthy instinct, sex.

It is safe to say that a large percentage of the unhappiness, misery, distress, and physical suffering of matrimony is due to the criminal ignorance in sex matters that is being extolled as a great virtue. Nor is it at all an exaggeration when I say that more than one home has been broken up because of this deplorable fact.

If, however, woman is free and big enough to learn the mystery of sex without the sanction of State or Church, she will stand condemned as utterly unfit to become the wife of a “good” man, his goodness consisting of an empty head and plenty of money.

Can there be anything more outrageous than the idea that a healthy, grown woman, full of life and passion, must deny nature’s demand, must subdue her most intense craving, undermine her health and break her spirit, must stunt her vision, abstain from the depth and glory of sex experience until a “good” man comes along to take her unto himself as a wife?

That is precisely what marriage means. How can such an arrangement end except in failure? This is one, though not the least important, factor of marriage, which differentiates it from love.

Ours is a practical age. The time when Romeo and Juliet risked the wrath of their fathers for love, is no more. If, on rare occasions young people allow themselves the luxury of romance they are taken in care by the elders, drilled and pounded until they become “sensible.”

The moral lesson instilled in the girl is not whether the man has aroused her love, but rather is it, “How much?”

The important and only God of practical American life: Can the man make a living? Can he support a wife? That is the only thing that justifies marriage.

Gradually this saturates every thought of the girl; her dreams are not of moonlight and kisses, of laughter and tears; she dreams of shopping tours and bargain counters.

This soul-poverty and sordidness are the elements inherent in the marriage institution. The State and the Church approve of no other ideal, simply because it is the one that necessitates the State and Church control of men and women.

Emma was incredibly controversial during her own lifetime. Teddy Roosevelt called her a “madwoman… a mental as well as a moral pervert”, the New York Times said she was a “mischievous foreigner… apart from the mass of humanity”.

The San Francisco Call said she was a “despicable creature… a snake… unfit to live in a civilized country”. The government called her the “ablest and most dangerous” anarchist in the country.

    • Studies of brain waves show people in love are going through a stupid phase. I guess it never ends for most women.

It’s been a decade or more ago I had to drop my wife at a house with a wedding shower going on. A buddy and I meanwhile went out and worked and it was really hard work so I get back hours later and this soiree is still in progress. I walk in the back door just to get out of the heat and hear this shrill screaming like a horde of 5 year old girls. I don’t know if there was a woman there under 50 and definitely not under 40 and they made sounds like that. I went to a doorway, caught my wife’s eye and left going back outside. It was disgusting so she starts in on me, determined to get in the first blow. I just stayed silent but she went on in a voice with no hint of femininity in it. The entire spectacle was just asinine, no other way to put it. And I grew up in a house of women and thought I was immune. I guess not.

      • They thought you were the stripper for a split second. Why do you have to get in the way of your wifes desire for infidelity – gosh!

  8. ‘Hello Mr. Rowe! What’s your take on MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry being offended by the phrase “hard worker”? How can such a label possibly be offensive to anyone?”

    Lenny
    —–

    TL;DR (too long didn’t read) – Melissa Harris-Perry Doesn’t Understand Hard Work
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjwlbMjuPUQ

    —–

My take Lenny, for what it’s worth, is that there is no longer a limit to what people can be offended by.

Melissa Harris-Perry appears to be put off by the suggestion that “hard work” is too often linked with success. She doesn’t like the fact that many hard-working individuals have not enjoyed the same measure of success as Speaker Ryan, who was being acknowledged on her show for his excellent work ethic. Here is her response, in her own words…

Melissa Harris-Perry: “I want us to be super careful when we use the language “hard worker.” I actually keep an image of folks working in cotton fields on my office wall, because it is a reminder about what hard work really looks like. But in the context of relative privilege, when you talk about work-life balance, the moms who don’t have health care aren’t called hard workers. We call them failures. We call them people who are sucking off the system.”

To me, it sounds as though Melissa is displaying images of slavery or drudgery in her office to remind herself of what hard work really and truly looks like. That’s a bit like hanging images of rape and bondage to better illustrate the true nature of human sexuality. Whatever her logic might be, it’s difficult to respond without first pointing out a few things that most people will find screamingly obvious. So let’s do that.

First of all, slavery is not “hard work;” it’s forced labor. There’s a big difference. Likewise, slaves are not workers; they are by definition, property. They have no freedom, no hope, and no rights. Yes, they work hard, obviously. But there can be no “work ethic” among slaves, because the slave has no choice in the matter.

Workers on the other hand, have free will. They are free to work as hard as they wish. Or not. The choice is theirs. And their decision to work hard, or not, is not a function of compliance or coercion; it’s a reflection of character and ambition.

This business of conflating hard work with forced labor not only minimizes the importance of a decent work ethic, it diminishes the unspeakable horror of slavery. Unfortunately, people do this all the time. We routinely describe bosses as “slave-drivers,” and paychecks as “slave’s wages.” Melissa though, has come at it from the other side. She’s suggesting that because certain “hard workers” are not as prosperous as other “hard workers,” – like the people on her office wall – we should all be “super-careful” about overly-praising hard work.

I suspect this is because Melissa believes – as do many others – that success today is mostly a function of what she calls, “relative privilege.” This is fancy talk for the simple fact that life is unfair, and some people are born with more advantages than others. It’s also a fine way to prepare the unsuspecting viewer for the extraordinary suggestion that slavery is proof-positive that hard work doesn’t pay off.

Obviously, I don’t see the world the same way as Melissa, but we do have something in common. Like her, I keep a picture on my office wall.

That’s me, squatting next to the most disappointing toilet I’ve ever encountered, preparing to clean it out with a garden trowel. I keep it there to remind me of what happens when you need a plumber but can’t find one.

It’s also a nice reminder that a good plumber these days has a hell of a lot more job security than the average news anchor. (With respect.)

    • In this age of mass-entitlement it makes me regret not being able to live during the Red-Scare when anything resembling Communism was admonished by the majority of Americans.
Yes, it is true that due to fed we are left with a fraction of the buying power of our 1970’s ancestors. However, entitlement creates a snowball effect and it is getting disgusting. Racial bias, ageism, ableism, and every other ‘ism’ is terrible – and yet most people who claim to be victims of this revel in their victim attitude. It’s a Greek Tragedy. It’s equivalent to lying about rape.

      • No shit! And I’ve seen it play out time and time again, hear what they say over a long period of time and slowly make the story as believeable as possible. It may even take a year or two but going through the process, jumping the bureaucratic ropes and generally groveling at the feet of govt. you can achieve what everyone has always wanted, the high life for “free” if you discount your own slavitude and are willing to screw the entirety of society and all those with higher morals who are paying the bill…..and those who are in line. Everybody pays…..so why not the get best payoff? And then we come full circle and see it’s nothing more than govt. gone wild. Get the full DVD set.

Maybe cats, dogs, corvidae, dolphins, and whales – they’re sandbagging it, and would rather enjoy themselves, rather than put their vertebrae to the grindstone and transform the world like the humans.

    And maybe that’s okay.

Many must concur, given they keep other less mentally and physically abled creatures around as pets and companionship.

Which brings me to cRap music, and the doe eyed bright plumed ladies caught up in the game.

Might cRap princesses also make fine human pets and human companions. They’re waiting for someone like you to adopt them, in a ghetto near you.

We can all agree they’re pig ignorant and useless when it comes to the practical arts, such as building or maintaining a truck.

But then so again is a dog, yet you let him ride with you.

In this same vein, I don’t think it would be wrong, were you to let a creature such as Jennifer Lopez ride with you, and be your companion.

Surely the elite of this website have formidable minds and pleasantly unguarded and opinionated public personas.

In order to grok their notes and teachings about cRap, insofar as someone like me even can. It’s simplest to separate minds from personas when analyzing this heavy logic.

The fact is, the social order and individual character risks of hip hop culture are not adequately known, and because of the unique nature of these concerns they cumulatively pose a “risk of global harm.

Therefore, goes this line of thinking, we here invoke the precautionary principle, and make our case for why it is believed it should apply in the case of cRap:

The precautionary principle should be invoked only in extreme situations: when the potential harm is systemic – rather than localized – and the consequences may involve total irreversible ruin. Such as the extinction of industrial western white culture and it’s being the source of prosperity for human beings and all life on this planet.

The argument against cRap is it a dangerous flavor of Eurotrance that falls squarely under the precautionary principle because of its clear and pervasive systemic risk.

Smith takes a hard look at the case laid out in the paper and identifies its fatal flaw:

The key question is whether cRap, whatever its merits, and its reasons for being profitable in the market, really has the potential to cause truly ruinous harm. This question has nothing to do with probability or decision theory, and everything to do with anthropology and sociology.

Thus far, the whole case that cRap could cause catastrophic ruin is based largely on speculation, mixed with a handful of observed negative effects from known opponents of self-liberation, and the right to behave immaturely and destructively, when it seems appropriate.

It is interesting to contemplate, and perhaps study further, but at this point the “ruin” or “irreversible harm to individuals” does not seem proven.

Like most things, I prefer to keep individual things deconstructed, and not share the belief that things are connected. Though certainly, there are practitioners of the practical arts, who most certainly know far more, and have far greater experiences than me.

Listening to cRap, or watching TV, or playing video games, or driving real fast, or using intoxicants. These each seem like individual events to my mind, and that any attempts to establish causality to them, is beyond the abilities of a single, or even a large group, of either regular or expert human beings.

There effects, whatever they may be, are an emergent property, which really don’t lend themselves to helpful targeted interventions, until after the fact. In hindsight, which ever activities gave the best results, were the best things to have done. But we won’t know until after the fact, and it will be late for abstinence and shunning, of whatever things don’t yield a good result.

    tl;dr

some men like the sounds of the cats’ “Meow”

some men like the sounds of the dogs’ “Woof”

personally I like sounds of the hood rats’ “You like the way I dress. The way I wear my hair. Show me off to all your friends. And baby I don’t care. Just as long as you. Tell them who I am. Tell them I’m the one who made you give a damn. Don’t ask me where I’ve been. Or what I’m gonna do. Just know that I’m here with you. Don’t try and understand. Baby there’s no mystery. Cause you know how I am.”

    – no need for each of us to tell each other who our pets should be. each to their own. live and let live, just don’t destroy everything of course.

    • Hi Tor,

I object to cRap because it is ugly and barbarous, the product of ghetto “culture.” That is to say, thug culture. I do not like thugs, whether black or white.

It’s not that it’s loud, not that’s vulgar. It’s just ugly noise. Auto-toned squealing or mush-mouthed mumbling to a monotonous bass beat salted with clicks and pops and snaps and various other discordant/atonal noises.

And the odious garbage is everywhere. My gym – where the clientele is mostly white guys over 35 – is enveloped in the sounds of bix noooooood at top volume, probably because the owners believe they are “hip” and “with it.”

Are cRappers with their complex rhymes, better linguists than Shakespeare?
        http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2949186/Are-rappers-better-linguists-SHAKESPEARE-Complex-rhymes-second-nature-hip-hop-artists.html

        • Read the DM post. The definition of a ‘complex rhyme’ is words that do not rhyme, but sound somewhat similar. How is that ‘more difficult’ than finding an actual rhyme?

              • Yup!

What I find endlessly fascinating is the way cRap permeates everything, has become mainstream – and will not go away. Loathsome trends have burned out in the past after a few years of psychosis. But cRap? Nope!

Even in places where you gnoe the clientele does not like it, you’re forced to endure it. I’ve written before about my gym. Late middle-aged owners, almost entirely white male customers in their 30s and up. But the cRap bix noods loudly and abundantly from the speakers, even when we complain about it.

Mind, I do not revile cRap because it is black. I revile it because it is vile crap.

I have nothing but respect and admiration for classic Motown, Hendrix… you know, musicians and singers.

                • Everyone is special these days, Eric…
Not in the good sense, either.
We can ALL be Bruce Jenner… And when that “special” has worn off, then we can become Caitlyn, too!

Somehow, Alice cooper’s “Sideshow” seems appropriate. The lyrics don’t match perfectly, I guess it’s a “strained rhyme” per Simon and Garfunkel, but it fits conceptually: We’re all part of the Sideshow, you see, all perfect entertainers…
Even if our cRap does stink, everybody’s gonna make it big, with the right hustle….

Just like they all gon’ be B-ball stars…

Sorry, it’s a mess, I can’t pin it down, the Jell-O just falls apart and wiggles to the beat…

                    • We’re not allowed to shoot them, and the soft eugenics approach has resulted in most of US being aborted, instead of the worthless horde of eaters…

                    • Also, see again, “Everyone is speshiuul”….

15 seconds of fame can be a big draw to those who have an ego starved for love, validation, acceptance…. Humanity, basically.

                  • Everything is beautiful, in it’s own way…….but I bet when he wrote that he didn’t see cRap coming. He probably wasn’t properly high.

I guess it’s sort of gauche for me to say it but the girls show up for the DRUGS. I didn’t make the rules but it’s easy to see the light.

  10. While I do not believe in any of the Christian religion – or any other religion – mumbo jumbo there is the saying that the devil’s greatest trick is to convince people he does not exist.

But I argue that the devil’s greatest trick is to convince people that some people have a right to rule and everyone else has the duty to obey.

    • Actually, it’s one and the same.
Divine right of Kings, the “Superior man” theory of Confuscianism, we must bow down to our betters…
Law and Canon are the inventions of Lucifer, per the middle ages’ philosophers…

It’s a subversive thing, though: The Law sets one man above other men.
So, the Law declares one man superior to others.
The LAW, therefore, is in direct contradiction to Christian teachings (and Taoism, BTW).
So by establishing the law this way, the Devil hides his existence in an aura of Superiority and righteousness. the Exploiter, the Self-promoter, is “superior” in the way the Aryan Nazis were superior, by destroying or tearing down all else.

Better to rule in Hell than serve in Heaven….

I would say men’s rights guys seem to be marginalized and ridiculed using the same tactics as us small government big personal-responsibility types.

I can’t side with them though, if at any point their activism and cause means merely enslaving me a different way.

But that’s just me, and I am no kind of leader or good example for anyone else.

            • I have to thank you both, I hadn’t heard of this. Reading up on it now, it might be good.
Paul Elam might be the granddaddy of the MRM, but over the years, I’ve noticed he’s a bit too cozy with “the enemy.”

While I think there is a much better future in reconciliation with the female species, I’m not getting a warm-and-fuzzy because, as Brent noted, it’s being made by a feminist, with only her word it won’t be a hit piece.

From life experience – women can’t help it, any time there’s a chance for women to profit (regardless of cost to anyone else, including her own children!) – they take it. ALWAYS a victim, ALWAYS blameless, ALWAYS hurt by some evil man.

It might just be the years around my generation (mid 70s); figure, 1970-ish to 1980-ish to define the generation’s start; I’m reading things from guys 20 years younger, reporting the same sort of assholery from their female parentage, though, going back to grandma in a few cases. True in my case, too – which indicates a different issue, i.e., it’s NOT generational…. it’s a “feature”, not a “bug.”
I’ve posted a lot from RoK, won’t repost it, no purpose.

And having met a good woman, and let her go, I can’t stop kicking myself – but hindsight is 20/20. I’m just acknowledging, good women DO exist. At the same time, she was still a woman – still had the same drives and limitations, they were just manageable with her. I wasn’t seen as entertainment, but as a partner. Though I was also supposed to entertain her – it just wasn’t Priority 1… 😉 Or, I entertained her just by being me (which could be a positive or negative, I guess I’ll never know.)

Back to the movie, I have concerns about people, too. “Rose-colored glasses”: You see what you’re looking for. E.G., “Dogma” and “Mad Max: Fury Road”. MM:FR was listed as being a feminist screed. Some of it was, but I don’t think that was the point of the film; nor was the feminist cult a major feature. After all, though the grandmothers of that cult played a pivotal role in the story, they were a fictionalized [exaggerated] “society.” And none survived. It’s easy to see an allegory of the death of feminism, too. All then old women, still capable in a human sense, were weak and unable to compete with the real world. They were driven from their home, then driven from this plane of existence by other humans. We could extrapolate a migration/cultural genocide concept too, if we went looking for that…
“Dogma,” I remember the K of C handing out flyers calling for a boycott of the film, and the flyer was “Blessed Virgin Mary” asking, “How can you do this to me, my children?”
What was the problem? The suggestion that Mary had relations with her husband, Joseph… NOT exactly a stretch of the imagination. (Especially since there are translated verses about Jesus’s “Brothers and Sisters.”)
I mean, the film is violent, cuts into the Catholic Church, finding a fault in the dogmatic (unquestioning) monolithic belief system, and the big issue is, “husband and wife have relations?” WTF, man.

I am concerned that people will see what they want. If they want the real story? It’s been told, by Nora Vincent, and told in her book, “Self-made man.” She’s a lesbian who decided to show Male Privilege. She worked as a man, dated as a man (up to a second date), and bowled as a man on a league team. And there are videos and TV news stories about it. Short version, she said live on TV that she’d NEVER consider crossing that gender line – men are shit on far too much, and too alone – she couldn’t really hack it.
              {Coincidentally, it also indicated the stresses the transgendered feel, in reverse; she ended the experiment because she was basically losing her mind, her sense of self was being destroyed. Something to pass on when there’s NOT funny bashing going on. 😉 I.E., “Bruce Jenner’s Cat” meme is funny, even if offensive. But after the laughs stop, a moment of introspection and comment that it’s real, it’s a problem, and the simpler solution is to transition. Can’t make the software (mind) match the hardware (male or female body.) Easier to re-purpose the hardware. Let people know it’s real, has physical symptoms, and let it go at that. No different from meeting someone who got polio, or was born with a club foot: you fix it as best you can, and move on.}

            • Tor, I have to agree with you. It seemed the women’s woes site had a good deal more logic. As for me, I’m not much of a joiner which makes me here on epa even more of a conundrum.

I think we all get it, as some good old boy called Mencken said, good and hard, men and women both. For the feminists, cry me river and give me a water filter while you’re at it. We never get enough water in west Tx.

I’ll send the fruits of my labor if I can just get em out of my body, mind and soul. Most of those fruits are like potted meat, peckers and lips for the most part with plenty of alcohol hopefully that me and Carl can reminisce over past injustices with.

              • I’m always down for realism and separatism. I’m all for telling the truth about women’s lib, suffrage, and “oppression” under marriage.

That’s all I’m seeking too. Is to be allowed to live separate. Not the kind that want to conspire in the woods and then come back and destroy or alter the lives of the consensus.

Like Lindsey Buckingham once wrote: “You can go your own way. You can call it another lonely day.”

I want only to be the kind of separatist that gets to live under my own terms. And once that is reasonably possible, to get busy living in the way I’ve always known I wanted to.

That means you have to leave me with something. You can take from me due to the power of your numbers. But if you take it all, and there’s nothing left to lose. The deals off.

To what degree is America a commonwealth. And to what extent is it an institution. That is the question. Attempting to do your thing, whatever it is, will give you your answer.

I’m not troubled by African sorts, who will say this is Morgan Freeman quote, because he recited it. Maybe for happily incarcerated within dogma and culture, it’s even sort of true.

On the contrary, I try to learn from such men. I tend to be too cerebral and not ethereal.

I’m also a philosophical separatist. Everything isn’t necessarily connected to everything the way the herd would have you believe. Just because a higher percentage of black households are on welfare, doesn’t negate their struggles to try to go their own way either.

It’s not a simple matter of adding up the rights and the wrongs and picking a winner. Whites being ahead statistically is not a moral argument. Life is not a game of fuhhhhtball.

                  • “Shiksa”
Translates from Hebrew to English as “Unclean meat” or “Filthy unclean thing”.
Funny (strange not ha ha) how that word crept into the American lexicon.

                    • Most Yiddish dictionaries describe “shiksa” as simply “a non-Jewish woman.” Today, the word is often used to describe a non-Jewish woman who is in a relationship with a Jewish man.

Has the connotation of “young and beautiful,” so referring to a man’s Gentile wife or girlfriend as a shiksa implies that his primary attraction was her good looks. She is possibly blonde. A shagetz or sheygets means a non-Jewish boy, and has the connotation of a someone who is unruly, even violent.

Some have even equated the word shiksa to a “vile abomination” or an “unclean thing.”

            • Good one!

But I can usually understand a screeching eight-year-old. cRappers just kind of mumble dey “poetry” (akin to describing a grass hut as “architecture”).

It is a measure of the comedy of the thing that a person who literally cannot sing and doesn’t even try (who just mumbles/shouts disjointed rhymes) and who cannot play any instrument (not counting his dick) is considered (by some) a musician.

I once came across an excellent way to determine whether something is – or is not – “art.”

If anyone can do it, it’s not art.

But then, you gnoe what I am sayin’

              • I have wondered if not a single person who would defend rap reads epa or if there is no defense to be made or if anyone who likes the stuff can read or write.

Yesterday was the perfect example of the latest bunch of humans to reach physical adult size. I bought a 6 pack that was clearly advertised for one price to only find it scanned at a higher price. I pointed out to said clueless female clerk that the advertised price was indeed the real price and not what the scanner showed. She couldn’t grasp it. I told her it was Texas law that the price of anything was what the advertised price was regardless of what the scanner said. She once again insisted it was the scanner price and that she’d never heard such as what I suggested. I pointed out to her she had never studied or read Texas law(a course I was required to take in school)or she’d know this. Blank looks continued and she finally says “I guess not”. No shit Shirley, everything you do is a “guess”. I didn’t say that to her since it would be a waste of breath. And people still speak of how smart the newest generation is. I reckon her cRap understanding is better than mine.

                • Hi Eight!

My take: cRap is a form of narcotic that dulls the critical faculty. The monotony and repetitive nature of it is such that individual “songs” are almost impossible to distinguish. It is an endless streaming of noise – atonal clicks and snaps and the same bass beat in every “song” – designed to efface time and thought. Its purpose is to impart a state of stupefaction salted with nihilism.

There is nothing artful or imaginative about it. Listen to cRap from 10 years ago and cRap from today. Boom boom boom…click/snap/brrrrrr… mufuggah, mufuggah, gnomesayin’…over and over and over.

Those who equate it with rock or even pop do not grok that those forms involve musicians and singing as opposed to electronically generated noises and mumbling/shouting.

                  • I have heard some cRap lyrics that were good, in my estimation. It was true and righteous and I agreed. But I don’t call it music. Yes, it can be entertainment, art as it were……for some, but as a musician myself, it doesn’t come close unless the definition of music for you is simply a beat. I grew up a little half-ass jazz beatnick/shitkicker/countrywestern/rock and roller. I could change like a chameleon but never did I like anything that wasn’t music. As I aged a bit I grew to like soul, rhythm and blues and everything else including classical of the Mozart/Beethoven variety and others.
The common theme though was melody, counter-melody, harmony and definitely beat. But beat alone doesn’t make music….in my world.

        • Tor, you said:
“Goodbye Norma Jean humble unabashed native girls. Though I hardly knew you at all, your loss has to be the worst thing the Borgs did, was convert such lovely creatures into shrewish Christians and other abominations hardwired to make themselves and every free man crawl.”

          Not sure that’s accurate.
What we see now has nothing to do with Christianity. (Churchianity is a different animal.)
However, we have granted woman license and freedom of responsibilities or repercussions (consequences). What do you expect? She is now living as a native girl, in the footsteps of Lillith….

I agree with your sentiment of Eve’s daughters, being feminine and beautiful, but I think in this case, you’ve missed the logic. Put the premise before the civilizing effects of consequences, if you will, and missed the savage nature of the beast.

We have seen many times that men don’t revert to savagery immediately. Yet we note that women are incredibly savage, throughout history, even in “civilized” times. the less social restraint there is (taps into the female need for a “herd” for protection), the more savage and vile they’ll become. And not in the “warrior princess” sense, either – they don’t know when to quit. EVERYONE is a target, including allies, for the snarky, nasty, aggressive, “dirty ticks” free-for-all. Stabbing in the back? Poisoning? Abortificants? Sacrificing an ally who wasn’t useful at the moment, despite long-term value? All in the history books.

Not to say men won’t do it, too – but there’s a certain calculated nature to a man’s actions. Women go on instinct and emotion. so, betrayal because it “feels right,” even if it loses the war – it was right, right now, and so it is good. Rationalization, no long-term goal, limited time sense. And frequent lies as well.

Lovely creatures, they are… Feral wenches, acting on emotion and blaming others, advertising themselves and what they offer, then demanding men NOT act on the invitation…. Ostracizing men (and women) from the group, while claiming they’ve been wronged.
We lost a lot in the last 50 years…
I learned the hard way, as I was taught women could do anything men could do, only better – and they were more moral, too.
I’ve now come to realize, it’s a facade, based in their weakness, and their demand and desire to control everything. Makes me think of Genesis and the Fall…

And ain’t nothin’ a good bitchslap wouldn’t fix. (Of course, we are now obligated to do it on their terms, verbally, and in a “cocky & funny” manner. We’ve been reduced to Clowns, or marionettes, dancing on every tug of their fingers on our strings… Because when all is said and done, they want control over us and our “freedom” – and they want to destroy us, subvert us, and own us. A man who cannot be controlled this way is of no use to woman. So he is “creepy”, or “a geek”, or {whatever} – but never a man to her. but the men she CAN control? No use for them, either, they just pay her her proper dues as a princess… So she never loses, and in a sense, men only win when they don’t give a rat’s @$$ about her. Talk about F’ed up.)

          • Though I truly enjoy reading these. This all sounds like Borg philosophy to me, I don’t think I found anything I can agree with. Though certainly I can understand these lines of thinking, it’s not like they’rea rare viewpoint. (Though it is presented in a unique and rare prose.)

If you have the equestrian magic touch to “break in a woman” then good for you. Use it wisely.

We’ll agree to disagree that it is a feature, usingmoral authority to regiment and reduce variations, and thus constrict the egos of the so called fairer sex.

I have no such appendage or device. And mostly try not to have them assimilate themselves to what they think I want them to be. Since their programming to be a useful Borg Vessel is already quite strong in most of them, without the use of a strong pimp hand.

For the life of me, I don’t see the quarrel with the women who have always been here since before Columbus, other than maybe hygiene, and grooming habits.

Somebody put the kibosh on all such naked nubile nymphs hopping about. And whoever that was I consider that waterhead Borgtard my greatest and most fervent enemy. If it really was hayzeus, then I must have missed that chapter.

I’ve reached this world view by actually looking at naturalist pictures of 120 years ago and grokking what life was like. And traveling even further back by looking at directly at paintings. Also the very first silent movies were a real eye opener.

I do rely on men who’ve artistically documented life. But i don’t rely on anyone else’s words on any of these matters.

Or maybe I just stole the plot of H.G. Wells’ The Time Machine, and constructed a hackneyed whim worshiping philosophy around it.

I find it difficult to communicate what I mean by all of this, perhaps what I’m just not up to the task as much as I’d like to be.

            Traveler Wikia
            http://continuum.wikia.com/wiki/The_Traveller

The Traveler is an advanced time traveler from the far future. He has arrived in the present time in order to restore the timeline to its original state.

The Traveler originally came from a time hundreds of years from the present, and was sent back to chronicle and preserve history.

Something changed during his travels, causing the future he came from to cease to exist. With no clear path to repair it, he traveled further back in time

However, upon observing the unusual series of events unfolding during the present time, he was given reinvigorated hope, and believes there will be a moment soon where everything can be repaired.

Kiera later notices the entrance to The Travelers chamber, questioning what was inside but receiving no answer. Catherine is seen consulting him a few times as well, at one point mentioning to Warren that communicating with him is “like listening to 16 channels at once”.

The Traveller continues to observe the others from a distance, with Chen spreading his information to the select few that can impact the future. He finally informs Kiera and Alec of the Traveler’s true purpose, claiming that the both of them (along with the machine being built by the future soldiers) will all have a part to play in his plans.

Alec initially dismisses the Traveler’s abilities as “metaphysical bullshit”, but comes face to face with him soon afterwards.

Tapping Alec on the forehead, the Traveler sends him to a pocket dimension where he encounters his equally surprised future self.

As the two converse, Alec realizes that he is the one who gives his future self the proof that time travel is possible, and therefore that the Traveler is responsible for kick-starting the events that would lead up to the initial time jump from 2077.

During the climax, The Traveler is seen standing in the Future Soldiers’ portal machine, watching Kiera as she enters it. Activating the Quantum Device within the rift, he is able to return to what is assumed to be his original timeline, the very same one that Kiera is sent to.

The Traveller is shown to have highly advanced technology seemingly embedded into his body. This technology, as we have seen thus far, allows him to travel to any point in time at will.

This technology also gives him the ability to transfer, or “merge”, a person’s consciousness into a body from another timeline simply by tapping their forehead (as was done with Curtis Chen). In a similar fashion, he is able to transport other people (or at the very least their consciousness) across timelines.

He is shown doing this to Alec in order for him to meet his future self, though their meeting place seems to be a pocket dimension of sorts.

  11. I am sure that Lewis understood, though he does not make it exactly clear here, that real economic independence of the kind he says Montaigne enjoyed, means, well, *independence* — that is, being of independent means.

He doesn’t stress it here, but a man dependent on a wage or salary from a private sector boss is just as dependent as someone on the government dole.

None of the talk radio hosts I hear from seem to get that. They all condemn dependence of government, but laud and praise dependence on an employer. They are shocked and indignant to learn that anyone does not wish to have a boss or master.

    • Amen, David.

I’ve not had that (a boss) for going on 15 years now. It’s been liberating to an extent people who’ve not experienced it cannot imagine. I write what I want to write. On my schedule.

These days, especially, working for The Man is intolerable. They micromanage everything, even your life outside of the office. I just read a story the other day about a woman (teacher) who almost lost her job because someone found out she’s an amateur bodybuilder and poses – gasp – in skimpy bikinis. I also hear some employers test for smoking at home – and will fire your ass if you do.

  12. ” Classical political theory, with its Stoical, Christian, and juristic key-conceptions (natural law, the value of the individual, the rights of man), has died.

The modern State exists not to protect our rights but to do us good or make us good — anyway, to do something to us or to make us something. Hence the new name ‘leaders’ for those who were once ‘rulers’.

We are less their subjects than their wards, pupils, or domestic animals. There is nothing left of which we can say to them, ‘Mind your own business.’ Our whole lives are their business.

I write ‘they’ because it seems childish not to recognize that actual government is and always must be oligarchical. Our effective masters must be more than one and fewer than all. But the oligarchs begin to regard us in a new way.

Here, I think, lies our real dilemma. Probably we cannot, certainly we shall not, retrace our steps. We are tamed animals (some with kind, some with cruel, masters) and should probably starve if we got out of our cage. That is one horn of the dilemma. But in an increasingly planned society, how much of what I value can survive? That is the other horn.

I believe a man is happier, and happy in a richer way, if he has ‘the freeborn mind’. But I doubt whether he can have this without economic independence, which the new society is abolishing.

For economic independence allows an education not controlled by Government; and in adult life it is the man who needs, and asks, nothing of Government who can criticise its acts and snap his fingers at its ideology. Read Montaigne; that’s the voice of a man with his legs under his own table, eating the mutton and turnips raised on his own land.

Who will talk like that when the State is everyone’s schoolmaster and employer? Admittedly, when man was untamed, such liberty belonged only to the few. I know. Hence the horrible suspicion that our only choice is between societies with few freemen and societies with none.

Again, the new oligarchy must more and more base its claim to plan us on its claim to knowledge. If we are to be mothered, mother must know best.

This means they must increasingly rely on the advice of scientists, till in the end the politicians proper become merely the scientists’ puppets. Technocracy is the form to which a planned society must tend.

Now I dread specialists in power because they are specialists speaking outside their special subjects. Let scientists tell us about sciences. But government involves questions about the good for man, and justice, and what things are worth having at what price; and on these a scientific training gives a man’s opinion no added value.

Let the doctor tell me I shall die unless I do so-and-so; but whether life is worth having on those terms is no more a question for him than for any other man.”

    • How can you tell if you’re a leader? Look behind you and see who is following.
Story goes that a group was on tour in Israel. They had just been out in the pasture among the flocks, and the guide had been telling them about the shepherd/sheep relationship, as Jesus did in John 10. Just then they saw a flock of sheep coming down the road with a man behind them cracking a whip. Someone opened a window and called out to him, saying “Our guide was just telling us that a shepherd doesn’t drive his sheep, he leads them.” The man with the whip says, “That’s true. But I am not the shepherd. I am the butcher.”

        – –
The Lord is my butcher; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in synthetic fibers: he fatteneth me atop the still couches and flickering screens.

He restoreth my tissues: he leadeth me in the paths of slaughterhouses and flavorfulness for his name’s sake.

Yea, though I sleepwalk through the valley of the stupor of walking and sitting death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy prod they comfort me and encourage me to that final hallway, to the anticipated kill room door at the end of the hall where Heaven’s Farms awaits..

Thou preparest a table on which to serve me in the presence of mine hungry enemies: thou anointest my head with oils and vinegars; my bloodstream cups runneth over with subduing chemicals and mood stabilizers.

Surely good appetite and the anticipation of sating carnivores shall intrigue me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the stomach of my OverLord for ever.

He could form a buffer territory called Northern Mexico in which to resettle the 11 million “illegals”. You know the ones where 70% of households are getting welfare. A land still flowing with milk and honey and streets paved with Trump gold and top notch classy style.

But no longer an albatross state, built to collapse the system from within.

              • eric, I must disagree. These things happening got their start with Dean Acheson and John Foster Dulles(and Harry Truman and Ike Eisenhower and the McCarthy’s of this world) 50 years before the chimp and cohorts arrived to further totalitarian dreams. And they’re just a bunch of incompetent no-nothings who did as those with more pull said who were duly elected representatives of the people of this country(sic).

That line is long and inglorious……basterds as it were.

            • Welcome to my world. I make convenience store clerk wages no matter how involved and difficult my job is. I was going to make a spread sheet for everything involving my job to make it easier to collate everything since I work on different jobs daily and often, more than one job per day. But screw ’em. If I ever have time to do this, I’m going to charge some serious hours for it, not serious money, just serious hours, two totally non-related things for me.

When we have no company work I find work for my truck having more contacts that my boss. I try to coordinate a multi-truck task with my buddies yesterday for a company job while the whole country is getting rain and meanwhile the best laid plans of our customers are folly. It takes me on the scene to tell them their pie in the sky plans are nothing more since the reality is there is no material they need within a 100 miles. Well, that sets them back on their well-heeled laurels. They had never thought of the availability of what they finally deemed they needed. So they had an engineer draw some plans for them, an almost exact copy of ones I suggested well over a year ago.

I know waterways, diversion terraces, diversion ditches, etc. while they think about life on the side of a steep hill as simply leveling off a few places.

I told them I was wondering when they’d figure this out nearly a year and a half ago while I was out there in the dark servicing my trucks…..in the pasture. One fellow pipes up and says “I never saw anybody out here in the dark”. I told him he was never out here in the dark so how could he see anything. He never saw the site till it was lit up like a carnival and had been razed. He didn’t know what to say. Of course, if I made what he does, I’d have the luxury of speaking out the other end too.

But what I do has to be right…..right then, not years later. That hindsight is surely good stuff to the company men.

They know I’m a good hand but I’m not a good “worker” cause I speak truth to power, never a good idea for those at the base of shit hill.

  13. “The people get government they deserve”. Yes. True. But I also get their government, too, which I neither want, need nor deserve.

The real trick, in this day and age, is for a freedom lover to be able to glide under or fly over Big Brother’s radar screen. You can either travel like Henry David Thoreau and live so simply that you go undetected or travel so high with bags full of Fuck-You money. The middle class cannot travel through live without forking over more than half of what they produce……… Having “leaders” is very expensive. The ignorant masses pay dearly for having leaders with their blood, treasure and freedom.

    • This freedom through poverty thing….

The statists argue that if we want freedom we should just live in poverty. It’s the social contract. Don’t give into the state you don’t get to live in society or with any material wealth. Many libertarians argue that if we give into the state not to live in poverty we aren’t true to our beliefs. The practical say we should live in poverty to be undetected by the state.

Here’s the problem. The state does not leave the poor alone. It’s a lie. People go live off in the woods or the desert and government sees them as targets to mess with because thy don’t have the assets to defend themselves. The state makes everything needlessly expensive to force the poor and more into dependence on the state. The state sticks its fingers into everything needed to live so there’s no getting by without submitting to one of its numerous monopolies or cartels or permission slips. Just try living off the land without its permission. No hunting license, fishing license, permit on your own land, whatever, it will find a way.

Rich? Get rich. How? The state stands in the way of any method of making money but lets say we can find a new niche. Gets around the state. What happens to those who don’t play ball? Did Bill Gates have enough money to be left alone? Nope.

      One must play or else.

Nobody is to be left alone.

        • Under the auspices of the EU (Encomienda Union), you are free to say and do as you like, provided you accept your place.

Originally, the encomienda was a dependency relation system during the Roman Empire, where the stronger people protected the weakest in exchange for a service.

It was later used during the colonization of the Americas and the Philippines. The monarch would assign a European with the task of “protecting” a specific group of Native Americans.

(Newsflash, you are a later instance of a Native American, one of the sundry tribes known as Industrial Americans.)

In the encomienda, the Crown granted a crony a specified number of natives of a specific community, with the indigenous leaders in charge of mobilizing the assessed tribute and labor.

In turn, encomenderos were to take responsibility for instruction in the Christian faith, protection from warring tribes and pirates, instruction in a European language and development and maintenance of infrastructure.

In return, the natives would give tributes in the form of metals, maize, wheat, pork or any other agricultural product. In the first decade of European presence in the Caribbean, Europeans divided up nearly every single native, who in some cases were worked relentlessly.

Nowadays, outright slavery is abolished and various former colonies are deemed indigenous “free vassals of the crown,” allowing many natives and Industrial Americans to appeal to various authorities and local instances of Crown Audiences.

Encomiendas are characterized by the geographical displacement of those enslaved and the breakup of communities and family units. In earlier times, the natives fields were burned and their bison and other animals slaughtered.

In the case of the highly valued Industrial American tribes, the crown tolerates and even encourages existing community hierarchies, with the industrial indigenous not forced permanently from their families, homes, and land.

In order to reap the benefits of capitalism, the Crown must permit sufficient choice and freedom to Industrial American Tribes so that they will continue to invent and produce new goods and services to keep the whole world sated and entertained.

Increasingly growing minorities of Indians and Chinese have also been granted extra independence, so that their ideas and inventions might also enrich and establish the hegemony of the Encomienda Union.

      • “Nobody is to be left alone”.

If there were no government whatsoever, that would still be true. Nobody is to be left alone because the natural world is filled with lifeforms which compete for life itself. If you want to be left alone, take a dirt nap. “Death and taxes”, remember that truism?

The real trick, in this day and age, or any other, is to avoid both of the aforementioned to the greatest extent possible……. Few producers have the temperament, disposition, wherewithal and, yes, the luck necessary to avoid government theft of more than 50% (aka taxation) of what they produce. The parasites, of course, don’t pay because they collect a portion of the swag.

A really, really rich dad (think: Robert Kiyosaki) or a really, really poor dude ( think: Dick Proenneke) can still get by without being stolen blind by Big Bro. In fact, Dick Proenneke was only materially poor by the modern standards of those who cannot subsist without a modern lifestyle; however, by his own criteria, Proenneke was richer than Kiyosaki shall ever be……. and he never worried about Big Bro for even a day in his life during his decades in the woods….. How many people can make that claim? Less than .0001%.

And you don’t have to live like Proenneke to greatly reduce Big Bro’s shakedowns. It is still possible for anybody to live ( and even raise a family) if they structure their lifestyle and acquire the skill set necessary to live mostly out of harm’s way. When I lived alone in Alaska I payed for the fishing, hunting and trapping licenses and harvested many tens of thousands of dollars worth of fur, fish and game. I’d say paying the state less than $50 for a Resident Annual Sport Fishing, Hunting, and Trapping License was a minor mugging compared to the rape of the average middle class serf.

        • If one is content living the Life Below Zero lifestyle, that is great, and we all commend you.
          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8Uedd_h9cg

The death and taxes truism was coined by Ben Franklin.
          http://www.engineering.com/Library/ArticlesPage/tabid/85/ArticleID/13/Benjamin-Franklin.aspx

Did Ben believe in live and let live. Or did he subscribe to the doctrine of Consensual Crimes. If he submits to this idea that the strong necessarily rule the weak, then Ben was a Clover.

There actually was an alternate currency – animal pelts – that provided the currency of freedom for inhabitants of the northern cryosphere.

The Consensual doctrine says if a majority of a populace, especially if this include the wealthiest and most powerful, are empowered to determine what the “natural world” is to be.

The trick of this is once so anointing themselves as the Consensualarchy, they make it a crime not to cease fighting against nature, and to instead to live to fight for your place in their imposed hierarchy.

Forget making your market in the wild wooley world. Live instead, to someday grab your place in our powdered wig mink coated leisure lands of luxury.

This truism has long been rejected by many tribes and creeds. Intellectually, it was first rejected by anarchists. By independent thinkers like Goldman, Mencken, Emerson, Thoreau, and Rand. And lately, is being rejected by Individualist Libertarians.

If you’ll agree to our natural right to be left alone, and to face the dangers of nature and either succeeding or failing on our own merits, then we’ll be more interested in what else you have to say.

In the interest of knowledge, I’ll listen now. You’re saying the more that one learns to survive and maybe even thrive, the better that is for all who value individual sovereignty.

If you are saying this is superior to living in a major metropolitan area and earning a comfortable living, then that is an assertion you’ll have to provide support for.

I don’t recall Ben Franklin toiling away in some fur-trappers shack.

Why must the strong dictate to the weak. The stoic dictate to the glutton. The lithe rural barefootian dictate to the bloated urban dandy.

The Britons and others set up colonies in Moscow, Americas, Africa, South Asia, really nearly everywhere.

But only in the United States, did the people swallow whole the lie that one instance of one species must rule over all. Only the Industrial American techno-savage was sufficiently rabid to handcuff the very hands that feed him.

          • “………rejected by anarchists. By independent thinkers like Goldman, Mencken, Emerson, Thoreau, and Rand……..”

Spooner, Mises, Rothbard and all of the above, and more, we never really “anarchists”. Not really. They believed in government. Small government. The smallest government possible, viz, self-government, i.e., self-control.

A self-controlled (wo)man is the ultimate form of government. And anarchy has nothing to do with it. Not really. They were only “anarchists” inasmuch as they didn’t believe in Bigbro government and collectivism. What they rejected was collectivism. All of the above people were anti-collectivist. That’s who they really were.

I say live your life as a rebel. And live well. If you want to live like Irwin Schiff, as a rebel behind bars, that’s your prerogative. Going head to head against Big Bro is for heroes, martyrs and all true believers willing to back up their talk with action. Ben Franklin and the rest of the rebels took it one step farther; they usurped. “Give me liberty or give me [a dirt nap]”. They weren’t willing to be a tax protesters behind bars. I respect that. I respect all the rebels, including those who to battle with their mighty pen, e.g., Rand, Mises, and the rest.

I also respect the Carl Menger types, who wisely live out decades of their lives in seclusion— far, far away from the clutches of Big Bro. That’s more my lifestyle choice.. A city boy can do it. But a country boy does it better.

My advice: stay away from crowds.

            • Interesting food for thought. I appreciate it. I’ll agree that the women in my life are all the government I can handle and ever want.

What irks me, is that everywhere you go you are under “arrest” which I use as a catchall term for those increasing moments when you can’t just do things.

LIke eightsouthman said about his smarter-than-he-is phone.

Are you sure you want to read the rest of this. Click yes to continue. If you have a big temper, or you’ve grown accustomed to formality and decorum, please be strongly cautioned that what comes next may be difficult for you.

You know, that total above paragraph was a completely useless arrest and waste of yours and my time. That’s my objection to magical thinkers and schizophrenic statists in a forum like this.

They won’t move ahead in any kind of line of thought. But only want to put you on merry-go-rounds that bamboozle you to death, until you finally hop off and give up.

Is what I do here a crime. Will someone I know see this. Being under arrest or even just in fear you might be.

Means you have to stop and read something. Wait for somebody to wave you forward. Submit to some kind of gatekeeping bot that won’t let you post until you fill in a bunch of blanks and send off an email somewhere that might take hours or days to get back to you.

That’s what happens when everyone wants to have a say in everything. You end up with a behemoth system that eventually causes you to say, “that’s” it, I’m outta here, I’m moving to the vacant acreage behind my house and living in a hammock from now on.

And leave civilization and “official residence” to women and womenized men who are all too happy to give their vote and receive the other’s vote about every single sorry detail of every solitary second.

If you are master of your domain, and don’t feel this way. That’s fine to. I’m just sharing what I sometimes do to stay sane and remain free.

I’m not concerned with defending any label.

Probably, this site should drop the word “libertarian” from the site, because in the day to day clover arena, this brings on the crazies who live to hate libertarians, and also turns off otherwise simpatico readers of a blog like this.

And that goes double for anarchism. Because that is associated with V from Vendetta and the guys who killed the president and the CEO of Carnegie Steel.

              This is abridged from wikipedia…

Lysander Spooner (1808 – 1887) was an individualist anarchist, political philosopher, abolitionist, supporter of labor, legal theorist, and entrepreneur. Also known for competing with the U.S. Post Office and being forced out of business by the U.S. government.

Too much work to do the other names. People aren’t makes of autos, there’s only so far you can go in creating labels and nomenclature, since every individual is unique and a separate instance.

              • LIke eightsouthman said about his smarter-than-he-is phone. Yep, the bitch nearly got tossed yesterday. I say a name it’s called 100 times and it replies with “confirm” so I say it and it responds with “firm?”……confirm, once again I say. I didn’t get that..did you say farm? Ok, Walmart Pharmacy. Ah shit says I. “Oh, s+++”. “oh, dear”. Now it’s trying to clean up my language. Good thing my window was up. Spend big bucks for a goddamn smart phone and it’s frickin clover. Shit!

            • REALITY, “I say live your life as a rebel.” “The real trick, in this day and age, is for a freedom lover to be able to glide under or fly over Big Brother’s radar screen.”

Agreed. I argue that the best way to do this is to live a positive minimalist lifestyle. There is a difference between living in poverty and living without all the mindless consumption.

  14. re this: “No candidate running who not only doesn’t want to lead but also despises the idea of being followed.”

If you’re looking at the two major parties, sure.

There’s a possibility that the LP might nominate someone who at least approximates those sentiments — the LP national convention, last time I went, was split almost down the middle between the None Of the Above anarchists and the minarchist crowd.

      • I respect and admire Ron Paul. Although I’ve never met him, he seems genuine; a mensch. His son strikes me (and I may be wrong; I have never met him, either) as a politician and an opportunist. I understand there are probably tactical concessions one must make to achieve a strategic goal, but his (seeming) “principle deficit” alarms me. From what I know of him, he is just another Republican conservative.

        • I think Ron knew he had no chance of winning, but was running primarily to educate people. Rand does not seem to be 1/2 the man his father is. Even if he should manage to get elected, he would either turn into another one of the controllers, or be disappointed in how little he could actually accomplish.
Of course there are those who said that if Ron had managed to get elected he would not have survived to be inaugurated. Unlike Bush the Elder, who had “a bullet-proof vest made of 100% Quayle.”

        • Eric, I live in Ron Paul’s old congressional district. I was a volunteer in his congressional and presidential campaigns. I got the opportunity to speak with him quite a few times. He is the most humble person I’ve ever met. He’s the real deal. However, I’ve never met Rand, but he seems to be playing some kind of game.

      • I’ve met several hundred members of the LP who wanted to elect candidates who would basically shut down government, or make None Of The Above a ballot option. That seems more like a defensive measure than accepting the legitimacy of government.

That being said, I quit as the Chair of the LP of Hawaii a few years back as I became more radically anarchic.

  15. “There is no alternative to leadership in latter day Weimar America. No candidate running who not only doesn’t want to lead but also despises the idea of being followed.”

Ummm, that only makes sense, since the position they’re running for is “Leader of America”. Even IF someone was running under the platform of “If elected, I will remove myself immediately” the paradox would make them seem insane!

Of course we actually DO have a party like that in Canada. The Bloc-Quebecois is a federal party that represents the interests of one single province (Quebec) and their stated mission, their literal reason to exist, is to separate that province from federal politics completely. (“soverengty association” they call it, because they still like federal Canadian money, just not the rules)

So if elected, the first thing they would do (if they stayed to their stated goal) is to remove Quebec from federal canadian status, meaning they would no longer represent a Canadian province anymore since they’d no longer be a part of the federal system, and thus would have to disband.

    • You miss the point entirely.

Which is: People will not be free until they realize it’s wrong to control others. That government is a fundamentally illegitimate entity because it is fundamentally about controlling others (using violence and its threat).

Some take the above as an endorsement of chaos. Not so.

Rules (and responsibility) are important – essential – underpinnings of society. Self-defense is a natural right. But these do not require ceding an irrevocable monopoly on the use of violence to a gang (i.e., the government).

Your BC is just another gang. They simply wish to be the dominant one in the French-speaking part of Canada.

    • Correction, the office of President is NOT the “Leader of America”. the office is the leadership position of the Executive Branch.

You make a common error that many do. I remember in late summer of 1993 when an editorial writer for the Kansas City Star quipped that “the Clintons didn’t realize what a big job it was to run a country”. That’s the statement that woke me from my stupor.

However, what you discern is precisely what was intended with Hamilton’s Revenge…aka, The Constitution. Don’t feel bad.

      • the office of President is NOT the “Leader of America”
You make a distinction between de facto and de jure. Since Congress has abdicated many (most?) of the duties assigned them by the Constitution, the President has effectively become the leader. Unless you consider that he will allow himself to be overruled by the 9 black robes.

  16. Eric, I agree with you about Trump and Trumpism. I just read a good article about him and his minions by Jeffrey Tucker.

    https://tucker.liberty.me/trumpism-the-ideology/

And I understand that Rand Paul is not quite ideologically pure enough for some people. It still seems to me that there is a great gulf separating Paul from all of the other candidates. None of the rest of them seem interested in freedom at all, not even a little bit. At least they never mention it.

  17. If voting could possibly change things for the better in America………it would be illegal.

But there are “other” ways you can vote….

    With your feet…..

    With your pocketbook…..

By permanently turning off your TV….(That would help a lot.)

There are effective “ballot boxes” everywhere you look.

    • Deportation of Prussian Anarchist Emma Goldman as a radical “alien”
      http://jwa.org/thisweek/dec/21/1919/emma-goldman

On December 21, 1919, Emma Goldman, along with 248 other radical “aliens,” was deported to the Soviet Union on the S.S. Buford under the 1918 Alien Act, which allowed for the expulsion of any alien found to be an anarchist.
      – – –
Shhh. Slipping this in while all the WN’s are sleeping…

“Anarchism, then, really stands for the liberation of the human mind from the dominion of religion; the liberation of the human body from the dominion of property; liberation from the shackles and restraint of government. Anarchism stands for a social order based on the free grouping of individuals for the purpose of producing real social wealth; an order that will guarantee to every human being free access to the earth and full enjoyment of the necessities of life, according to individual desires, tastes, and inclinations.

“People have only as much liberty as they have the intelligence to want and the courage to take.”

“If voting changed anything, they’d make it illegal.”

“I’d rather have roses on my table than diamonds on my neck.”

“Before we can forgive one another, we have to understand one another.”

“The philosophy of Atheism represents a concept of life without any metaphysical Beyond or Divine Regulator. It is the concept of an actual, real world with its liberating, expanding and beautifying possibilities, as against an unreal world, which, with its spirits, oracles, and mean contentment has kept humanity in helpless degradation.”

“ Free love? As if love is anything but free! Man has bought brains, but all the millions in the world have failed to buy love. Man has subdued bodies, but all the power on earth has been unable to subdue love. Man has conquered whole nations, but all his armies could not conquer love. Man has chained and fettered the spirit, but he has been utterly helpless before love. High on a throne, with all the splendor and pomp his gold can command, man is yet poor and desolate, if love passes him by. And if it stays, the poorest hovel is radiant with warmth, with life and color. Thus love has the magic power to make of a beggar a king. Yes, love is free; it can dwell in no other atmosphere. In freedom it gives itself unreservedly, abundantly, completely. All the laws on the statutes, all the courts in the universe, cannot tear it from the soil, once love has taken root.”

“The most violent element in society is ignorance. ”

“When we can’t dream any longer we die.”

“Someone has said that it requires less mental effort to condemn than to think.”

“Ask for work. If they don’t give you work, ask for bread. If they do not give you work or bread, then take bread.”

“Patriotism … is a superstition artificially created and maintained through a network of lies and falsehoods; a superstition that robs man of his self-respect and dignity, and increases his arrogance and conceit.”

“Every society has the criminals it deserves.”

“Give us what belongs to us in peace, and if you don’t give it to us in peace, we will take it by force.”

“The most unpardonable sin in society is independence of thought.”

“No great idea in its beginning can ever be within the law. How can it be within the law? The law is stationary. The law is fixed. The law is a chariot wheel which binds us all regardless of conditions or place or time. ”

“To the moralist prostitution does not consist so much in the fact that the woman sells her body, but rather that she sells it out of wedlock.”

“But what about human nature? Can it be changed? And if not, will it endure under Anarchism?
Poor human nature, what horrible crimes have been committed in thy name! Every fool, from king to policeman, from the flatheaded parson to the visionless dabbler in science, presumes to speak authoritatively of human nature. The greater the mental charlatan, the more definite his insistence on the wickedness and weaknesses of human nature. Yet, how can any one speak of it today, with every soul in a prison, with every heart fettered, wounded, and maimed?

John Burroughs has stated that experimental study of animals in captivity is absolutely useless. Their character, their habits, their appetites undergo a complete transformation when torn from their soil in field and forest. With human nature caged in a narrow space, whipped daily into submission, how can we speak of its potentialities?

Freedom, expansion, opportunity, and, above all, peace and repose, alone can teach us the real dominant factors of human nature and all its wonderful possibilities.

This is not a wild fancy or an aberration of the mind. It is the conclusion arrived at by hosts of intellectual men and women the world over; a conclusion resulting from the close and studious observation of the tendencies of modern society: individual liberty and economic equality, the twin forces for the birth of what is fine and true in man.”

“The import is not the kind of work woman does, but rather the quality of the work she furnishes. She can give suffrage or the ballot no new quality, nor can she receive anything from it that will enhance her own quality. Her development, her freedom, her independence, must come from and through herself. First, by asserting herself as a personality, and not as a sex commodity. Second, by refusing the right to anyone over her body; by refusing to bear children, unless she wants them; by refusing to be a servant to God, the State, society, the husband, the family, etc., by making her life simpler, but deeper and richer. That is, by trying to learn the meaning and substance of life in all its complexities, by freeing herself from the fear of public opinion and public condemnation. Only that, and not the ballot, will set woman free, will make her a force hitherto unknown in the world, a force for real love, for peace, for harmony; a force of divine fire, of life-giving; a creator of free men and women.

“No one has yet realized the wealth of sympathy, the kindness, and generosity hidden in the soul of a child. The effort of every true education should be to unlock that treasure.”

“Do not all theists insist that there can be no morality, no justice, honesty or fidelity without the belief in a Divine Power? Based upon fear and hope, such morality has always been a vile product, imbued partly with self-righteousness, partly with hypocrisy. As to truth, justice, and fidelity, who have been their brave exponents and daring proclaimers? Nearly always the godless ones: the Atheists; they lived, fought, and died for them. They knew that justice, truth, and fidelity are not conditioned in heaven, but that they are related to and interwoven with the tremendous changes going on in the social and material life of the human race; not fixed and eternal, but fluctuating, even as life itself.”

“The history of progress is written in the blood of men and women who have dared to espouse an unpopular cause, as, for instance, the black man’s right to his body, or woman’s right to her soul.”

“If love does not know how to give and take without restrictions, it is not love, but a transaction that never fails to lay stress on a plus and a minus.”

      “Religion, the dominion of the human mind;
Property, the dominion of human needs; and
Government, the dominion of human conduct,
represent the stronghold of man’s enslavement
and all the horrors it entails.”

“The strongest bulwark of authority is uniformity; the least divergence from it is the greatest crime.”

“‎Civilization has been a continuous struggle of the individual or of groups of individuals against the State and even against “society,” that is, against the majority subdued and hypnotized by the State and State worship.”

“We Americans claim to be a peace-loving people. We hate bloodshed; we are opposed to violence. Yet we go into spasms of joy over the possibility of projecting dynamite bombs from flying machines upon helpless citizens. We are ready to hang, electrocute, or lynch anyone, who, from economic necessity, will risk his own life in the attempt upon that of some industrial magnate. Yet our hearts swell with pride at the thought that America is becoming the most powerful nation on earth, and that she will eventually plant her iron foot on the necks of all other nations.
Such is the logic of patriotism.”

  18. Except, if not Trump, who? More of the same bipartisan abuse?
I’m voting for the chest stabbing Kracken over the backstabbing Dragon – at least it will be a different monster in power.
I think I might be persuaded to vote for the spouse of the Goldman Sachs bankster VP, or Carson, or Rand Paul, but am not excited.
At this point I just want the whole thing burned. Or as Alfred said in the Batman movie “Some people just want to see the world burn”. Trump will do that – adds new meaning to “You’re fired”.
Tell me if it was Trump v.s. Hillary or Sanders you would vote for Hillary or Sanders?
(CNBC just noted Kasich was running Lehman Brothers until ’08).

It appears ISIS has been entering this country. Can we wait until they behead half of the population of the blue states that invited them in with sanctuary cities, etc. before we take action?

    • Trump and Sanders represent the strong man in “The Road to Serfdom”. Everyone else is entirely the status quo. Rock meet hard place. Things will get worse and worse so long as people believe in leaders and voting.

    • Although the numbers are slowly dwindling, at one point we had over 20 declared candidates = + Joe ‘maybe’ Biden. None of them worth a rodent’s rectum. I’m going to wait and see if there is 3rd Party candidate I like. If not I will take the ‘Brewster’s Millions’ choice and vote for None of the Above.
And remember, the lesser of 2 evils is still evil.

  19. Even Rand Paul – the “Libertarian” Republican –

    What a disgrace.

What must it be like for Ron to carry in his heart the burden of what his son has become?

    • Hey son, your daddy never got rich or held a powerful committee seat. He was a loser and we can make you bigger than he ever was if you can lose some of that “freedom shit” and play ball with us and the Israeli’s. Gee, you think so? I wouldn’t vote Rand for dog catcher.

  20. Look, you low energy libertarians. The people America competes with are not babies. They’re killers. That’s why you need me. I know how to deal with killers, because I am a natural born killer.

What’s being done to America, is criminal. I’ll get the Valkyries flying again and deal with all the bad guys. I know how to deal with everyone. I’ll even pave the streets with Trump gold from sea to shining sea, and make sure every citizen enjoys the life he deserves, which is total Trump luxury. It’s a good day to die, when you know the reasons why. Through me you can live forever.

No he won’t. No you can’t. Don’t listen to him. I’ve got the snitch. And I’m about to make the winning shot. I’m a proven leader, and I’ve got seven horcruxes, I know how to win the games of international quidditch.

  21. Very well said Eric. Don’t blame the politicians. Don’t blame the “system.” Don’t blame the government. Don’t blame the bureaucrats. Blame the voting majority who gave up their self responsibility, their self reliance and their liberty in exchange for a Social Security number and the perception of security. In the end these voters sold their souls to become sheep on a tax farm. They think they are “free” because they can vote for their shepherd. They are nothing but useful idiots to America’s megalomaniacs and deserve what they get.
