Just the fact we have fat cops tells us who and what the police are really about. If the police were for the citizens only fit people could be street cops.
This porker costs the taxpayers a fortune and will cost a fortune as she ages. Her health insurance is undoubtable expensive already. I am guessing she is in her forties, but already probably has more health problems then an average seventy year old. At some point they will have to find her a desk to sit behind, because she will likely have trouble walking.
My dad was in the Air Force Reserves back in the 1980’s. He was in his forties too then, and he was given six months to shape up or retire early when he failed a health exam. He wasn’t anywhere near as fat as that cop in the video either. To his credit my old man did lose the pounds and didn’t have a weight problem again for the next twenty years. But I think he was more motived to not lose a chunk of his pension (he would have been short of the 20 years for the full pension) then to lose the weight.
Now we have much lower “standards”. If it was today, my dad wouldn’t likely not have to lose that weight.
