Just when you think . . .

Harris County Sheriff’s Deputy Andrew C. Sustaita Jr. has been arrested after he was caught “producing obscene material online.”

Sustaita was caught after HCSO investigators from the High Tech Crime Unit were contacted about someone uploading a video involving bestiality from a sheriff’s department computer.

Via ABC13.com:

The video reportedly shows him involved in a sex act with a small dog.

“The possession of obscene and illicit material is made even more troubling when a sheriff’s office employee is found to be involved,” Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said.

“Every resource of this office will be dedicated to protecting the public and holding our employees accountable for wrongdoing.”

The deputy comes from a law enforcement family, and they said they are waiting for more information.

His father says he is devastated to hear this allegation, that his son is a hard worker, and that he is reacting like any father would.

Sustaita is charged with obscenity, a state jail felony.

Before coming to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Sustaita’s LinkedIn profile said he was a U.S. Army specialist, and also worked at Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office.

A source who knows the deputy tells Eyewitness News, in his experience and knowledge, he knows him as an honorable and committed family man.

  1. Maybe his wife is just so butt-effing ugly, or frigid, that the family dog was the only viable alternative. Maybe the wife was the one filming and directing the she”bang”, so to speak. We need more details folks, inquiring minds want to know, dammit!

  2. OK first, let me just remind everyone, if you’re kinky, don’t film it.

But what does that have to do with his police work? I’m obviously playing devil’s advocate here, but as a libertarian why should I care what this guy does off duty, assuming the dog consented?

    (mostly sarcasm)

    • Hi Eric,

Well, it gives a window into his psyche… exploitative and violent.

      I mean, I doubt the dog consented… 🙂

My cold, calculated opinion: No one can be a “hero” and not a sick puppy. Even the handing out of traffic tickets; could you do that and not feel like a complete heel? I couldn’t. It takes a certain type… and a much worse type to actually put people in cages (and kick in their doors) over “crimes” that have victimized no one.

      • eric, just so. Exploitative and violent. Like the heroes who showed up Aug. 1st at our farm. They committed a huge new helicopter that looked like it could spit out a couple smaller ones.

There’s only one reason to spend that sort of money and amount of troops simply on a rumor and that was forfeiture and seizure. It had nothing to do with protecting anyone and the way they were outfitted, they made it seem as if a 67 year old male and 64 year old female were “Natural Born Killers”. They wasted what was probably at least a couple days of a dozen predators wages plus many vehicles and that huge whirly bird. That’s what our tax money buys, amoral predators simply looking for a needle in a haystack. The truth of it is, crime has steadily dropped for decades. If they’re so big and bad they need to go jack with the Mexican cartels and get learned up on badasses.

That brings me to another point. They did so little investigation as to just assume I’d be home which I hadn’t been for years at least 5 or 6 days a week from dark till dark. They hadn’t a clue my wife is crippled. They have no clue a marijuana grow is a full time thing, no cripples needed nor truck drivers who stay gone nearly every day of the week leaving and coming back in the dark every day. They were miffed my wife and I didn’t run from the house due to the chopper. Leave a/c to get in 100 degree heat to look at a helicopter? Why would we do that? Our eyes still work fine and CJ told us they were coming long before they got here. The entire debacle shows you how little they actually have to do and how little they investigate the situation. Scum of the earth, plain and simple, scum of the earth.

    • In a libertarian world there would be some question of the ability of an animal to consent and its rights maybe and this guy probably would not be a law enforcer, because there shouldn’t be any. If he were a peace officer it would bring into question his judgment and character for that job, at least the same as any other animal cruelty would.

But in our non-libertarian he is a law enforcer and therefor he should obey the law. It is very difficult to find fault with enforcing the law on a law enforcer.
