Maybe now we know why the senile old grifter who was humiliated on national TV back in June was seen on TV beaming with bonhomie at last week’s sit-down with incoming president Trump, who humiliated him on national TV. The people wanting a real war with Russia are doing everything they can to start it. They have provided weapons – missiles – to the dictator of Ukraine (accuracy is important; Zelensky cancelled elections and so is a “president” in the same way that Idi Amin was one) and have all-but-actually fired those missiles themselves, leaving the actual button-pushing to token Ukrainians for appearances sake.
Those missiles have now been fired into Russia, which by definition constitutes an act of war. Russia now has every legal (under international law) and moral right to defend itself against these attacks, just the same as the United States would if it were subjected to missile barrages fired by Russian proxies that everyone knows are Russian proxies. The fig leaf that it isn’t Russians– or Ukrainians – actually pushing the button is just that.
No one’s buying it. 
The question at hand now is whether the Russians will respond to it.
More finely, will he?
Vladimir Putin is many things but an imbecile he is not. He surely – hopefully – understands that the people wanting him to push the button are desperate for the real war he has been carefully avoiding for the past four years because they will no longer be in a position to goad him into pushing the button in about six weeks from now. That is how long Putin must be patient in the face of provocations that would ordinarily require an immediate response. 
No serious leader of a serious country can afford to allow another country to attack his country without responding. This is no doubt what the maniacs (and imbeciles) still in control of this country are counting on that by giving the “green light” to the dictator of Ukraine to launch American-made, American-provided and American-guided missiles into Russia. This happened just yesterday. It is nothing shy of a miracle there is still a today.
Missiles fired into Russia from Keeeeeeeeeeevvvv could be nuclear missiles. How could Putin be sure they aren’t? Is it on Putin to assume they aren’t – and allow his country to be attacked by missiles that could be nuclear? How about those F-16 fighters that are draped in Keeeeevian colors but very possibly flown by American or NATO pilots? These F-16s are reportedly fitted-out to be capable of carrying nuclear weapons. Whether they are actually carrying them is anyone’s guess. Or rather, it is up to Putin to guess.
You begin perhaps to see the danger. 
Luckily – for the world – the evidence of the past four years suggests Putin is not the imbecile the people trying to goad him into pushing the button are. His reticence to go to war even when he has cause is remarkable. This strongly suggests he does not want to go to war and that strongly suggests he is not a psychopath. As a contra case-in-point, do you suppose Stalin would have not pushed the button if America (via obvious proxy) shot missiles at Moscow?
Stalin was no imbecile, either. But he was a psychopath. One of those creatures willing to burn the world down if he felt he was going down.
Putin – so far – does not seem to be such a creature. And thank God for that. 
We may just avoid a real war if he can remain patient for about another six weeks or so. If the psychopaths-in-charge are unable to overcome his patience. The worry, of course, is that they just might escalate – for exactly that reason.
Or – rather – for the necessity. A real war may be the only way, at this point, of preserving their hold on power. A real war could even provide the pretext they will use to remain in power. There is nothing like a war to justify the suspension of elections – and if inaugurations.
Just ask the dictator of Ukraine.

Russia is reportedly planning to launch a new intercontinental missile at Ukraine – the RS-26 Rubezh. The projectile, which as per reports is capable of carrying nuclear warheads, has a range of up to 6,000 kilometers and weighs an estimated 40–50 tons. This comes as Ukraine allegedly fired a US-made ATACMS on Tuesday and UK’s Storm Shadow missiles on Wednesday.
Neither Moscow, nor Kyiv have confirmed the former’s plans around RS-26 Rubezh yet. On Wednesday, the US embassy in Ukraine shut operations over concerns of a ‘potential significant air attack’, the Department of State Consular Affairs said in a statement.

Vladimir Putin’s armed forces are preparing to fire RS-26 intercontinental ballistic missiles at the Ukrainian capital, local media reported.
Western nations including the United States shut their embassies on Thursday in anticipation of a large-scale air strike. The joint closure, also involving Italy, Spain and Greece, marked the gravest expression of concern from foreign embassies since the early days of the war.
On Wednesday, British Storm Shadow missiles hit a command post in the Kursk region in their first use against the Russian mainland. US-made ATACMS hit an ammunition dump in neighbouring Bryansk the day before.

I’m sure he does not want to do this, but one of the smarter moves might be to nuke Kiev, as a response to an especially blatant provocation. It would certainly get everyone’s attention, and state clearly to the world that he’s not bluffing. There are those who keep saying there is no circumstance under which Putin actually would push the button. Such an action would certainly shut them up very quickly.

It’s crazy how it’s not just the U.S. that is run by sociopaths bent on starting wars. From what I’ve read on “alternative media”, many other countries around the world, including in Europe, are also run by leaders hell bent on starting war or even WWIII. Are those countries also in massive debt that they’re willing to go to war over it?
What an ethical dilemma faced by Putin. We can only hope his extraordinary patience holds. No doubt if the pants shitter pulled this stunt with Kameltoe incoming, a goodly portion of us would be ashed in due course. I just can’t fathom the level of evil and depravity that emanates from the nutcases running what used to be the US government. Because they can’t be this stupid.

Putin is cool as a cucumber. He is not going to let a few, largely ineffective ATACM pin prick attacks derail him from his ultimate goal, which is Ukraine not in NATO and the ceding of the eastern territory of Russian speaking population to Russia. In the meantime, he will continue to attrit the Ukrainian army with a constant barrage of artillery and wait out the West. I do not expect him to place a few of his hypersonics into the US embassy in Kiev.
Nonetheless, the US is playing a dangerous game with a nuclear power. If there were any doubt that we are led by psychopaths, this latest game is the proof of it. The ATACMS will win the Ukrainians no territory, nor will they bring the Russians to the bargaining table.
The US is incapable of winning a war with a peer rival like Russia. The US has lost nearly every war it has fought since WW2 to less than peer rivals. Do we really want to fight the Russians near their territory? We would need millions of trained men.
Ukraine is lost. Russia has won. It’s just a matter of time. Maybe the psychopaths want to burn down the world so they can rule over its ashes?

It was widely believed, after WW I and again after WW II, that Europe had had its fill of mass bloodletting. Now we see another lost generation of Europeans ready to kill, kill, KILL.

The preparations of the Europeans for war is absurd. They have virtually no means to resist anything. Their armies are mostly gone, their ships are in dry dock. They have no wartime manufacturing capability. This is all meaningless gesture designed to panic the population. Russia is not interested in Europe outside of eastern Ukraine, but it’s necessary for the crazies in these countries to convince their gullible population otherwise, just as they panicked them over COVID.
Furthermore, if the war were to turn nuclear, there’s no sense in preparing anyway. The winners are those who die first. The survivors will have a long and miserable life that ultimately results in slow and painful death.

Now substitute United States for Europe as the same is true.
Even the most basic of spare parts for the military like simple brass plumbing and hydraulic fittings now come from China and other global suppliers.

Once Putin has those new pipelines to Beijing pressurized, he can just start a real “Cold War” in Europe by shutting off the gas. This might expedite the process. Heck, if he’s selling contracts, china might just allow him to close the valves early.
