Here’s the audio of this week’s Wheels Up! segment with Bill Meyer over at KMED radio in Medford, OR. We got into the beeeeeeeelief (say it like Ernest Angley) in EVs, among other things!

Naked, in your face extortion:
‘The Trump administration asked Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer for the Washington region’s Dulles International Airport and New York’s Penn Station to be named after President Donald Trump in exchange for releasing the federal funds required to build a long-delayed tunnel between New York and New Jersey, multiple sources told NBC News.’

Add it to the impeachment charges to be filed in the House on Jan 5, 2027.
I’m still stewing about George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, and Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport in Little Rock. I’ve vowed never to fly into either one again.
In December, Ford announced a $19.5 billion loss on its EeeVee debacle. Now Stellantis, the sick man of Europe, says ‘Hold my beer!’:
‘Stellantis NV shares crashed the most on record in European trading after the automaker disclosed a €22 billion (about $25 billion) charge tied to its failed EV strategy.
‘CEO Antonio Filosa wrote in a statement, “The charges largely reflect the cost of over-estimating the pace of the energy transition that distanced us from many car buyers’ real-world needs, means and desires. They also reflect the impact of previous poor operational execution, the effects of which are being progressively addressed by our new Team.’

No, Antonio! That’s wrong, fake and gay. There is no energy transition. Internal combustion remains the best available technology to power vehicles.
This is what happens when auto makers — no paragons of intellect themselves — take literally the incoherent mumblings of vacuous nobodies like ‘Joe Biden,’ Joe Manchin, and their Leftist Canadian and Eurotard counterparts.
Like cold fusion in a jar, EeeVees are an idiot’s delight.
But I’m ready, yes I’m ready for you
I’m drivin’ my own IC machine
Out of the doorway, the bullets rip
Repeating to the sound of the beat, oh yeah
Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust
And another one gone, and another one gone
Another one bites the dust, yeah! 🙂

O CanaDUH
‘Prime Minister Mark Carney of Canada announced on Thursday a sweeping plan to offer billions of dollars in incentives and tax breaks for auto industry investment designed to help turn Canada into a global leader in electric vehicles.
‘Mr. Carney on Thursday officially eliminated a mandate to move to zero emission vehicles by 2035. Instead, he introduced tougher emissions standards on vehicles in future years and set an ambitious goal of having EVs make up 90 percent of sales by 2040.
‘The government is restoring rebates for EV purchases that will start at 5,000 Canadian dollars or $3,600. Those rebates will not apply to Chinese-made EVs.
‘It will also offer 3 billion Canadian dollars, or $2.2 billion, for plant investments, cut corporate tax rates for zero emission vehicle makers and allow accelerated tax deductions for investments in EV plants and equipment.’ — NYT

With its generally cold climate and long empty spaces between cities, Canada is poorly suited for EeeVees. What it does have in abundance is Leftists. Thus, its self-destructive lurch to adopt all the failed EeeVee-pushing policies such as tax credits that the US just abandoned.
Does anyone want to take the other side of my bet that Canada’s EeeVee idiocy ends in an epic faceplant? On your feet or on your knees, hosers!
Here before Yukon Jack! 🙃
