In another prequel of what’s probably coming nationally this November, Virginia voters – if you can believe what we’re being told – approved a redistricting measure yesterday that will give the Blues a decisive electoral advantage in the next election and (apparently) make it so that whoever receives the majority vote in the presidential election also automatically gets awarded the state’s Electoral votes even if that candidate won the state’s votes.
The latter item has been an agenda item of the Blues for some time because the Blues control the urban hives in almost every state and these hives already have political control over the rest of these states; California and Virginia are big states with large tracts of geographically red areas that effectively get no say politically because the Blues control the hives. Soon, the Blues will control the country.

MAGA was never a coherently defined set of principles – which is part of the reason why it has become incoherent – but, for awhile, it was understood to mean in a general sense that the interests of rank-and-file Americans would be put first, again. This implied their economic interests, above all. Trump won to a great extent because working and middle income Americans wanted relief from the economic catastrophe engendered by “COVID” and four years of vicious inflation under Biden. They wanted lower gas and grocery prices; they wanted more affordable cars. They wanted to pay less taxes. Instead, they got more war – and war always makes things more expensive. Americans are now paying through the nose for gas and they know why and – more to the point – they know who’s to blame.
The economic pain Trump has caused is bad enough. Salt in the wound is his obnoxious, no-longer-funny personality. For awhile, his vulgarity was refreshing because it was confused with honesty. He refused to call him a “her.” Four years of hims insisting they are “her” ginned up understandable outrage that Trump benefitted from by mocking it. But maybe we ought to have seen something dark in all that mocking – an underlying cruelty rather than a commitment to tell the truth – which is now turned on the very people who voted for him and supported him. They are “low IQ” and “losers.” By implication, so are we – the rank-and-file ordinaries who are also reeling from the president’s serial betrayals of everything we thought we heard him say.
Certainly, men do not become women just be feeling they are – and it is an affront to objective reality to demand others pretend they are. A principled man might have put it that way. There is no long-term good in making fun of people – especially mentally ill people. Put another way, most people do not like bullies – and Trump is just exactly that. He has always been just exactly that – but many were deceived into thinking he was just poking fun.

At least Clinton – Bill – pretended to feel our pain. This man openly dismisses it. Us having to pay $4 per gallon for gas is “worth it” – to the billionaire who doesn’t have to worry about the cost of paying for it. The stock market is doing bangers, he says – and by dint of that, the economy is doing bangers. Yes, it is – if you’re a member of the Stock Market Class, which isn’t most of us. The Dow being “over 50,000” is meaningless to most Americans. Having to spend $4 per gallon for gas is very meaningful.
Americans did want something done about “immigration” – the flooding of the country with millions of foreigners. But most Americans did not vote in favor of masked up (and tatted up) ICE goons snatching people off the street. The pretextual murder of those two Americans in Minneapolis were seen by many Americans as just exactly that. The ICE goons wanted to murder those two Americans – and when they got their chance, they did. The backlash in response to this and all the other things Trump has done – and undone, such as the brief lowering of gas prices people enjoyed for the first year of his second term – elected a very Blue Abigail Spanberger the governor of Virginia by 15-plus points over the MAGA alternative, Winsome Sears. Spanberger rode a wave of revivified Blue rage and Red demoralization into office and she and the Blues mean to hold onto it and expand it. They probably just succeeded, too – having cemented their control over the state and likely given whoever the Blues put up as their anti-MAGA candidate in 2028 a certain victory in the state as well as a likely victory nationally.
All because of one man – who had a chance to abate the Blue tide and (cue Robert DeNiro voice from Copland) blew it. This stupid, evil war being perhaps the final straw that broke MAGA’s back. This is not to suggest the Blues are the remedy for Trump. It is to state the hideous truth that the Blues are going to be the beneficiary of the wave of revulsion engendered by Trump. He has already cost us Virginia, my home state.
It is likely he is going to cost us – those of us who aren’t Blue – everything in just a few months from now.

I only support around 50% of Trump’s policies and actions, but if the choice is between him and the Dirty Dems and their associated always angry loonies, I’ll take T every day if the week. What you’re forgetting is that your state GOP, the VA GOP, doesn’t field candidates in all the races down there; in fact, they’ve blown off a sizable number of races in past elections. In 2017, when Gov. Ralph Northam won and his party took both houses of the state legislature, the GOP blew off over 30 races for the state legislature. If the GOP had contested every race and won even a fraction of those races, they could’ve controlled at least one house of the VA State Legislature and thus been in a position to put the brakes on much of what Northam and his Dem cronies. By not running in races, the Dems automatically won those seats by default. As the old lottery commercial goes, you have to be in it to win it.
When they’ve had good, solid candidates for governor, e.g. Ken Cuccinelli, the GOP undercuts them. They refused to give Cucinelli any financial support; they refused to provide staff; they refused logistic help. They totally undercut him.
I’m not discounting the role that the DC suburbs of NoVA play in VA politics; NoVA and Richmond, among others, are blue hives. However, after studying some recent state elections in VA; after poring through the data; it’s obvious that it’s not just NoVA messing things up; it’s the feckless (and dare I say complicit?) VA GOP that plays a major role in what’s happening down there.

As practical – logistical – matter – how would you deport the estimated 10-20 million illegals? ICE is not going to do that. So why the ICE goons on the streets? What does this accomplish – other than getting Americans used to the sight of paramilitary thugs roaming American streets?
It’s pretty simple, really. Put a bounty on the illegals and let I.C.E. handle the processing and paperwork. Make the illegals work off the cost of their bounty, room, board, and transport home under indenture, and allow employers to hire them at minimum wage or less.
But you’re right that expanding I.C.E. to chase down such a huge wave of simple criminals is impractical and leads to short sighted thinking. Here is NYT analysis: 4.22.26 “Northern Virginia and Democratic strongholds carried the measure despite a drop in turnout. Northern Virginia, which includes the affluent suburbs of Washington, D.C., and a high concentration of FEDERAL WORKERS, VOTED OVERWHELMINGLY in support of the measure. “Yes” performed much better there than Ms. Harris had in 2024, including in its majority nonwhite precincts, even as those precincts had lower turnout relative to the rest of the state. The measure did not, however, match the margins that Ms. Spanberger saw in those areas in November.
“Across Virginia, majority Black, Hispanic, young and urban precincts had the biggest shifts toward the “yes” campaign relative to Ms. Harris’s margins in 2024, when those factions showed signs of abandoning the Democratic Party. The referendum’s results, combined with other recent elections, may alleviate fears among Democrats over whether the party had permanently lost its coalition of nonwhite and young voters.

We cannot vote our way out of it, but it is still an important part of the fight to vote. The easy answer is usually wrong.
If nothing else, voting opposition will eventually make the cheating obvious and force them to take repressive measures, which inflames opposition, and the guerilla swims in the sea of the people. There is an article on Zerohedge from a guy who says that Arlington County used to be part of the District of Columbia but was given back in the 1840s because the District had banned slavery and some wealthy landowners in Arlington weren’t happy. He argues that it was never ruled on by a court and Trump should call for its return. The theory is that it would alter Virginia politics by getting a lot of the liberal/gov. employee types out of the state. Interesting theory though that would be adding a lot of people to the District and would only increase the cries for statehood.

Trump is “only” president. Congress has to pass/repeal laws, and the courts have to not be certifiably insane. Trump does not do what most accuse him of — wield dictatorial powers.
Trump could have mandated E-Verify, sure, but even the USSC would have struck that down. That’s purely a state power. He could have (and tried to) stop welfare for illegals, but because of the way Congress created it, the states run their programs, and send the bill to the Feds. Congress has to change that. He issued a EO to make USDA give food stamps only to Americans, and when they refused, and he fired a few of them, the courts ordered him to rehire them. You need to run a Bukele on them if you want MAGA to succeed, and no one here would have supported that. Arguably not even me.

ICE has been allowed to utilize face and badge coverings, supposedly to “protect” them from being identified. What is to stop ANY individual from utilizing face and badge coverings to criminally accost people just because they can? Obscuration of identities is right out of the jewish IOF and mossad playbooks.
ICE uniforms are identical to the uniforms worn by IDF (Israel Defense Forces) personnel in occupied Palestine and Gaza. In fact, federal agencies and USA police departments send their personnel on “free” trips to israel to “see how it’s done”.

If ICE officials cannot perform their duties without utilizing disguises, they should find another line of work.
USA citizens and green card holders are presently being illegally detained, kidnapped and deported by ICE without due process. This is occurring with increasing frequency as we speak. ICE has been utilizing administrative warrants to effect property searches which is outright illegal. Administrative warrants are used to detain individuals and are NEVER to be used to justify a search of real property. Here in the USA, to search a residence, judicial warrants are required—with very limited exceptions—exigent circumstances being one.
Habeas corpus is a basic Constitutional concept that is applicable to ALL people within the borders of the USA. Yes, this includes illegals. Bringing them before a judge before deportation must be used in order to uphold the “rule of law”. If there aren’t enough immigration judges, additional judges can easily be hired and placed to handle the workload.
ICE must be subject to the same Constitutional restraints and “rule of law” as every police force within the USA.
Another aspect of un-American activities (prodded on by israel and the jewish lobbies within the USA) is the pinpointing, identification and deportation of student visa holders for having “the wrong political beliefs” i. e. protests against genocide in Gaza and the West Bank. THIS aspect of behavior by our government is unconscionable and must be prohibited.

All of which set the stage for a dramatic showdown in Virginia….As a result of the narrow victory, Democrats are slated to control 10 of Virginia’s 11 congressional districts, up from their current total of six. (The state Supreme Court might yet stand in the way if the justices find there were procedural missteps, but most observers tend to see this as unlikely.)
So where does this leave us in terms of the overall national landscape? While there’s still some question about what Florida Republicans might do, as things stand, the partisan arms race, which Trump and his allies apparently didn’t see coming, will likely be a wash, with a net difference of roughly zero for the parties.

This is often true due to “Blue States” having high populations, centered in cities, of course. Thus, it would seem, even to them, that a national divorce would be favorable. Having large cities does not mean, of course, that all of the people there have “blue” tendencies, but let them believe what they will.
I don’t believe that Virginia follows this trend due to the cities there being infested with DC workers. They are on the receiving end of federal taxation (strong-arm robbery). So, even though Virginia is now “Blue”, they are still a net receiver. Should FDR II show up, you can expect those on the federal payroll to expand dramatically, and most/all “Blue” states will become net receivers just like Virginia.

Detroit Axle is challenging Trump’s unilateral overturning of statute law in the Court of International Trade. Their position looks strong, since it aligns with the Supreme Court’s IEEPA ruling. But if the courts run out the clock until July 1, 2027 with delaying tactics, it will be a Pyrrhic victory.
Eliminating the de minimis exemption is a disaster for small businesses, and for consumers who (for instance) purchase meds from overseas. Tariffing such purchases won’t produce much revenue. But it will make many small transactions no longer economically feasible.
