For those who may have forgotten, it was just a few years ago that there were people who wanted to make it ILLEGAL to remain “Unvaccinated” against the dreaded ‘Rona. There was even a poll around that time suggesting that roughly half of Democrat voters wanted children of parents who refused to have them vaxxed taken away and/or the parents HEAVILY fined.
Always enjoy your conversations with Bryan Hyde! It truly never ceases to amaze me how willing to toe the state line people seem to be, particularly regarding topics that affront them. I chatter with people on Nextdoor about Libertarian ideas, and just recently on a post I made about how ridiculous the WA front license plate law is, some Karen was like “you are OK being a criminal?! Front license plates are necessary for reporting people who are tailgating” — I was floored. Someone else had already responded how ridiculous that is, but the idea that someone equates an inane law with an activity they hate and will report to authorities is exactly why we are heading down this flock road. I feel like Mad Max! 👨🎤
A few years ago, the small town near me announced with glee their first police motorcycle:
“It gives our officers new tool for fighting crime. Why, with our new motorcycle an officer can slide right up beside a car at a red light and look down into the car to see if the driver isn’t wearing a seat belt.”
