We used to ride in the bed of friends pick up trucks,this wasnt really that long ago,well it was but early 1990’s..Before they banned it here,even dogs cant ride in the bed!
We never fell out,sure in an accident we would be flown out etc…But tooling around town we knew what could happen even us 16 year olds!! Yep,the only time I was scared was when we jumped in a friend of a friends truck and I knew better,he tried to show off by driving fast,real fast and fish tailing on dirt roads…My buddy started to punch the rear window and yelled at the guy,he slowed down..We later laughed and drank a few beers! Well,we knew what could happen we were not uneducated babies!
We also rode dirt bikes with no helmets and that was even more unsafe than riding in the trucks bed!!But we are now legally to ice skate with no helmets,hmmm..That should be banned as we might fall crack our heads open and another person run over our fingers and chop them off…Sorry,I feel odd today lol
Love that sound.I used to ride yamaha two stroke dirt bikes back in the 80s good times!!!
Ok, I will have to get the X-6 over your way so we can do the “dueling-250-crop-dusting” together this summer, lol!
