Here are today’s Clovers! First up, the Corolla Clover. Nothing special about this one other than the commonality of them:
The second one is another left lane hog who can’t keep his Clovermobile in its travel lane. Is it that they’re “vaccinated”? Or something else?

White Civic (Clover #2)?
That’s usually an Asian driver around here.
My favorite anti-Clover was a little old lady in a Subaru wagon some years back.
Heading east on I90 Snoqualmie Pass, speed limit 55. I was in the right lane doing about 70 saw this little wagon coming up fast, blew by me doing around 80 or more. Saw the old gal blue hair, and the Montana plate – they don’t f around in the wide open western states she wasn’t having any BS 55 limit in WA either. Git’em Granny!
The 55 mph speed limit brought these types of drivers out of the wood work and were on full display during the 1970s through the mid 1990s. Clover activity was becoming socially unacceptable by the mid 1990s as people had speed limit fatigue. As speed limits have sporadically risen to higher levels than they were in 1973, the clovers have been forced to move over.
In Eric’s area, the speed limits are drastically under posted. In Texas that road he’s driving on would be at least 60 mph, maybe as high as 70.
There are areas in Idaho and Utah, 80 limit on the interstate – modern cars with modern tires have no problem with this. Family trip was fun getting from Twin Falls to Salt Lake without wasting the day dawdling on the highway. Also the newer Harley has a six speed trans so makes a great interstate cruiser 80 is no problem.
