Like he is clearly doing with regard to whoever it is that’s probably on the hard and thumb drives and CDs and other such media recovered from Epstein’s safe. I spoke with two I know yesterday. I asked them what they thought about this Epstein stuff. Specifically, about Trump’s strange reaction to people’s entirely reasonable reaction to the sudden about-face about Epstein by Trump, who was good friends with “Jeff” for 15 years, by his own admission. I asked them whether they were bothered by that and more so whether they were at all concerned that Epstein’s operation – just the right word – may have been designed by the very Deep State (i.e., the intelligence apparatuses of the people who probably control the world, not just Washington) to get embarrassing dirt on powerful people in order to use those powerful people to the advantage of the Deep State. Which would be necessarily not to our advantage.
In other words, that blackmail is the real issue here; more so than whether old men were enjoying themselves with much younger “models” of the Escort Service variety.
The people I spoke with told me they want to “move on” from the Epstein thing. That it is a “distraction.”
It is working.
If you’ve read Orwell’s 1984, you will recall the recurrent short-attention-span theme of the rank-and-file members of the Party. One moment, they are fulminating about Oceania’s eternal enemy, Eastasia. Then – faster than you can read this sentence – it is understood (by the Party members) that the enemy is not Eastasia but Eurasia. It has always been Eurasia! Orwell characterized this as the mutability of the past. This requires, of course, forgetting the past – when the Party so orders it be forgotten.
It is being forgotten as you read this.

If – as is his usual when it comes to things like this – e.g., Lock Her Up! – he does nothing, will it (at last) result in the Party Faithful admitting to themselves that they are not much different than the Part Members in Orwell’s 1984, who screech one moment for the blood of Eastasia and then a moment later screech for the blood of Eurasia, having totally forgotten (or blanked out) that only a moment ago, it was Eastasia that was the enemy?
Probably not. In order for that to happen, people would have to have respect for facts, principles and the past. Many on the red side of the aisle have as little respect for – or even consciousness of – such things as those on the blue side of the aisle because ultimately and in a depressingly actual way, they are all on the same side of the aisle. All that matters is the Party. Their Party.
Expressed another way, all that matters is power. So long as their Party wields it and the other Party does not. The Party Members, of course, do not grasp that it is the Party that always has power.
Orwell understood. It seems not nearly enough of us do anymore.

I don’t think any of them are going to jail, hence, the disgust that will be felt by the American public. As much as I would love the elite to have their day in court it isn’t going to happen, because there is no one to bring charges against them. They are all guilty. Short of the populace taking nylon rope and torches and marching into DC to exert their own form of justice the guilty will be spared from being behind bars, but their legacies will be tarnished and the public will look at them with loathing.
I do expect a few suicides when more and more lies are exposed though. The majority of these people are weak and will look for an easy way out.
That’s my assessment as well. And it means we’ve turned a dark corner. I dont know – Im thinking more on the lines of it being a trap for him almost. Say, an advisor told him he should bring it up as a way to get support, and that he will be able to do it. So him and his team constantly kept bringing it up… when it was time to release, either someone had the “the talk” or his name was on it, and he had to pivot in a very unexpected way (politicians lie all the time but they do it in a very professional manner – the way these guys backed down from here seemed very uncomfortable as if something changed).

Yesterday what Trump said wasn’t dancing around. He can’t say he was misquoted. If what he said wasn’t true Obama has all the precedent he needs to win a defamation case or even turn it around as nearly treasonous for Trump to even suggest. That case law was settled after the Civil War.
But Obama nor the media took that angle. Why no lawsuit for slander? If there’s evidence for what Trump claims then Obama can’t sue. It can’t be shown in court. But how can Obama just let a sitting president call him a traitor without denying it?

For years I thought my biggest pet peeves were tailgaters or people who much prefer to have a conversation with their phone than the person across from them. I was wrong. It is undoubtedly the horrible practice of groupthink. One’s inability to think for themselves, the choice to “rock the boat”, or even worse, the failure to maintain and defend their own principles.
Cults are the most dangerous type of groupthink because they require obedience and authoritarian practices to achieve it. Why so many want to be included in one I will never understand. Groups, clubs, political parties, associations…they are the same. Vote like us. Think like us. Do what we tell you.
That so many are willing to stand behind “MAGA” and defend it, is pretty damn revolting. Of course, it isn’t just Republicans and conservatives that do this. The liberals will also stay on the boat as it is sinking shielding the likes of Clinton, Biden, and Obama until their last gasp of breath.
I was hoping 2025 would be a wake call to most Americans. That they would see that neither side is a defender of their freedoms and that are own “representatives” truly hate us, but the psychological impact of the herd mentality maybe too much to overcome. Fine…go down with the ship. Of course, the realization that they aren’t getting a buoy will probably not dawn on them.

I won’t bore you with the details, but in 2021 I dreamt/saw a societal shift that would occur in 2025, almost like the Strauss Howe generational theory. It wasn’t a religious awakening like The Great Awakening of the 1730s (ala Johnathan Edwards) but basically a “rebirth” where all of the secrets, lies, and corruption became known (globally, nationally, and personally) and people woke up from the rock that they were under. This “awakening” generated a strong disgust in authority and a movement toward stronger family connections and smaller communities was made along with a general awareness of personal responsibility and security.
I have five months left to see if it will play out. I guess we will see.
I’m a realist which some prefer to call a pessimist.

I think your dream is spot on, everything goes in cycles and what should be coming is a shift back to traditional families, because we experienced the opposite, saw the horror, and it ended in a pedo nightmare at the highest levels.

Hard times don’t necessarily have to occur for a shift to happen. Disgust can be a strong determinant.
People with drug or alcohol addiction are said to need to hit “rock bottom” before they wake up to their present dire situation and desire to change.
When you are not at rock bottom, it’s easy to just “wait and see” what happens next.
It’s human psychology and they have teams of experts who’s job it is to keep the population in that mindset.
Keep things bad, but not bad enough for revolutionary action. Just bad enough for most people to seek government solutions. And the beat goes on.

Public debt is like sugar and processed foods. Everyone knows they should be eating home-cooked meals, but it’s just so easy and convenient to grab a burger or gas station burrito with a sugary drink. It is going to take a collapse of the whole system, perhaps when there aren’t enough people paying into Social Security to cover expenses, that we’ll start to see real change. After all, if you take away 14% of all payrolls that used to go into long term T-bills, that’s a pretty big chunk of operating expenses for the federal government. You can sell debt all day but if there aren’t any buyers, what then?
We always hear “This time is different.” But this time really is different. I’m sure they will come up with some extend and pretend solution, but probably not with the extremely favorable conditions of the last 75 years. Unless there’s a massive shift in how the government funds itself because taxing labor isn’t going to work anymore. There’s just not enough to go around, and the trend is for fewer workers, not more. Maybe tax the robots?

One of the things I dread is that they will impose an unrealized capital gains tax on property; essentially, a federal property tax. Many Millennials and Gen Z who’ve been priced out of home ownership won’t care – or will cheer. It will serve to make us all renters, officially. And at first it will seem to be something that isn’t a big deal. Maybe two or three grand a year, similar to what someone with children and a mortgage would pay in income taxes. I got to thinking about that story about how Tiberius made human candles out of Christians and how that would be a fine thing to do to these insufferable busybodies and control freaks.
