IMO the savings don’t amount to piddly shit. You can save more money if you sign up for fuelly and report your car mpg or over at gasbuddy and report the latest price at the pump you are using.
Here’s the deal, Trump is going to attack Iran again and Iran will hit refineries and pipeline sending fuel prices to the moon.

The federal gas tax is about 18 cents. So – if suspended – we’d be paying about $4.30 rather than about $4.50. Huzzah…. not.
And the price would probably only drop to $4.40. The loss of fuel taxes will just be made up with money creation instead.
Agreed, it is a pittance – especially since the predicted oil shock is due to hit first week in July. We are still in a grace period as oil tankers finish sailing into ports and strategic petroleum reserve still has some reserves left.
