Not only did they switch this to a new url a few months ago, but each time I log in I have to input the user ID and PW twice. The online credit card machine is no longer user friendly and the amount of information that I have to input to process a simple charge is stupid.
Also, ALL of the state government websites are being updated. Some are now requiring Id.me (I refuse and look for alternative workarounds), but it is becoming harder and harder.
One day we are all going to wake up and not be able to access our bank accounts or be required to login to a web browser. We are sitting ducks.
What I’ve noticed is just about every website now requires you to enter a “passcode” that they send via text or email, gets old fast.

A “hack” I’ve learned is that, if you’re getting cash at the ATM, to fan the currency so the serial number is visible to the ATM’s security camera. That way, should a merchant claim any of those bills are counterfeit, you can fend off any accusation of attempting to use counterfeit money (a VERY SERIOUS Federal Offense if you do it) but have the bank replace the phony banknote(s). The trick.is that you SHOW that the banks ATM disbursed them!

In what way would Ross Perot have been better? Was he any friend of the Constitution (as written)? I don’t think so.
He sure thought poorly of the Second and Fourth Amendments. In 1992 he advocated “the cordoning off” of “poor” neighborhoods and doing door-to-door *warrantless* searches for guns and drugs.

Like I said before, at the time about all 99% of Perot’s supporters knew about him was he was really rich, he projected a sort of homespun, folksy, cracker barrel-wisdom persona,, and he opposed NAFTA and he once said something about the “giant sucking sound” (of jobs going overseas), which swayed those to whom “Jobs, jobs, jobs!” were not just everything, they were the *only* thing.

Maybe I have a different connotation of war. When did war become stop and go, like a traffic light? I can’t help but believe that today’s wars are nothing more than a form of propaganda from both sides. Can one imagine Genghis Khan or Julius Caesar starting battle and about a week into it state “Elections are coming. Let’s take a break until afterwards and then we will bomb them back to the Stone Age”? Or Robert E Lee at Gettysburg making the T sign and shouting “time out” in the midst of fighting?

But there are examples in history of what you describe; for example, the period in early 1940 – after the British and French declared war on Germany over Poland. Nothing much happened in the West for months, until the Germans launched the great offensive that led to the routing of the French and British.

Valid point and war is not an everyday battle since retreating and regrouping does occur. But, in regards to your example Germany regrouped to make themselves stronger. It was strategic with an objective in place. This “war” has none of that. It is a cluster fuck. There is no goal or master plan to achieve it. It is fakery at its finest. The only strategy I see is to separate the little people from their wallets. Rob their savings, assets, and pride until they bow them since there’ll be nothing else to fight for.

Yes, there were, rain. They were called bombers. I am pretty sure the people in Tokyo, Hamburg, Berlin, London, and Osaka could confirm these were just as deadly.
Neither side was really ready in September 1939 for a knockdown, dragout like they’d all been preparing for all of 1914. Germany actually got lucky because they were able to attack Poland with 55 divisions, 5,000 artillery pieces, 2,000 tanks, and 3,000 aircraft, leaving only 7 second-rate infantry divisions, 500 guns, no tanks, and but 300 planes to counter the L’Armee d’Air and the RAF! But France simply filled up the Maginot Line, and their lone DCM tank division that was combat-ready advanced but five miles at most until it reached the incomplete “Westwall”, or Siegdried Line, then STOPPED, all without needing to fire a shot! Britain had no forces in Europe itself and wouldn’t have a Corps-level force on the Continent before the year was out! So the Germans were able to more or less decide the outcome of “Case White” in the three days it took for Britain and France to declare war, thanks more to their massed and crushing artillery than their panzers and Stuka dive-bombers. The Poles didn’t help by how they, alerted in the prior two days that a German attack was impending, rushed to their frontiers, especially in the hotly-debted “corridor”, which left the cream.of the Polish Army vulnerable to the German artillery, then being cut off by the Panzers and surrounded by the fast-matching infantry. Within a week, the Panzers had reached Warsaw and were only stopped via a desperate stand against their ill-considered frontal assault on the Polish capital. The Germans proceeded to “mop up” the many Polish Armynpockets, and took huge bags of prisoners. The Poles attempted on September 12, 1939, to gather what they had left, in a “redoubt” about the city of Leow (now L’Viv, Ukraine), and hold out until the British and the French could attack Germany from the west, but this was thwarted by the USSR, per the Non-Aggression Pact of 23 August 1939, invading Poland from the East on 17 September 1939. That more or less ended the fighting, save for Warsaw itself, which held out until September 27, and several Baltic ports, the last surrendering on October 5, 1939. The Germans were so confident that they faced no immediate danger from France and the UK that they even took their heavy long-rangw aerillery that backed the Siegfried Line, drove them across the new Autobahn, and used the to reduce the remaining Polish holdouts.
Once Warsaw capitulated, the French Army we withdrew from the Saar, no regular French Doldier would again set foot on German soil until March 25, 1945. Both sides waited and built up, until the Germans attacked Denmark and Norway on.April 9, 1940, and the Low Countries on May 10 1940. The biggest problem the French Army had during the “Phony War” was drunkeness in the ranks!
Actually it’s a step back in time. Wars used to be a series of incursions or campaigns, which stopped for the combatants to go home for the harvest and to beget heirs. They were limited by productive capacity and logistics.
The modern Clausewitzian “total war” relies on relentless campaigning using industrialized production to attempt to totally destroy and subdue an organized enemy.
5th generation war is a whole different ball game, with every individual a combatant and every place a battlefield, specifically because it’s the only thing that soundly defeats total war, especially of the 3rd generation variety.
Iran has been soundly defeated in 3rd generation war terms. Its forces shattered, its economy crippled and starving, and its leadership decimated. This is true, it’s also completely irrelevant.
Unfortunately for the minions of clown world, Iran was hip to 5th generation war and has been for decades. You don’t go toe to toe with a machine, you poke a hundred thousand holes in it with support for resistance fighters everywhere.
A nuclear carrier is of no use against a million guerillas. As is a H bomb- the H bomb will kill a few percent of them and stir up the whole nest, generating many times the motivated fighters vs the number killed by the big bomb.
I predict things are going to get a lot worse, and with the attacks by clown world on Russian refineries and middle eastern production and distribution facilities will soon be followed by major attacks on refineries and the power grid here in the US. If you think inflation and fuel prices are awful now, wait until it’s unavailable.
And the best part? It doesn’t take ballistic missiles or nukes to do it. A few thousand motivated and well supplied illegal aliens can and will do all the damage necessary.
