I agree with the Libertarian no-tax arguments, and I am impressed Garth can argue with Fed economists on specifics, but … the world thinks in terms of taxing for the greater good, and just about everyone loves public pools and socialist insecurity checks and EBT and cops which come to the door and protect them from thugs.
And I might add, youse guys want to take away SS now, when inflation is raging, and the point one percent own everything? That is not going to fly. What is coming is not some Libertarian utopia but socialism and communism, rent control, universal health care, etc. We have been impoverished by the big spenders, war mongers, wall street bailouts, Federal Reserve policies of ZIRP which sent home prices up 3x making them unaffordable for everyone under 40. You can’t stop the handouts when everyone is broke.
Eric, comb your hair and wear a nice shirt, preferably one with buttons and a collar. It makes a difference. Your ideas are great, but a sweaty T-shirt lacks gravitas. Sorry to sound like a wife. 🙂
