One interesting thing I heard from Mearsheimer on Chris Hedges show was that 20 million barrels were coming out of Strait of Hormuz daily most of it going to China, but China has reduced demand by 5 million per day and 5 Million were being exported by Saudis through a Red Sea pipeline plus 2 more million by UAE through a pipeline out of Oman. So world was only experiencing an actual shortage of 8 million per day (and there was some relief when Strait was opened during MOU; Iran got a lot out). However, Houthis just put a blockade on Saudi Arabia in the Red Sea and UAE may be closed down in Oman also. So prices could really start spiking.
