They Won’t Impeach Him

Some worry that the “Dumocrats” are going to impeach and presumably remove their bete noir – Trump – once they get their hands back on the power to do so, come January. This would be extremely dumb for them to do because Trump is their pinata. They need to keep him around for the next two years, to whack at every opportunity (and he will give them many opportunities to do just that). Then, two years hence, they will whack Trump’s poor understudy, J.D. Vance who will have to persuade people he is different than Trump. It’ll be something like that guy who played (briefly) Luke Duke’s cousin on The Dukes of Hazzard when the actor who played him (Tom Wopat) was off-air for awhile over contract negotiations.

Of course, there will still be a show of impeaching him. The “Dumocrats” will pretend they are going to git him, to appease their own rank-and-file, just as Trump pretended he was going to git the cretins named in the Epstein Files and Make America Great Again. The whole thing is a show, being the point. An orchestrated event with us as the unaware spectators. We see the show but most of us do not realize it is a show, though we do sometimes sense it.

I remember sensing it that day back in June of 2024. You probably remember it also – but did you see what you thought you were being shown?

I remember Ernest Angley and other faith-healin’ TeeVee evangelists. As a kid, I grew up watching them on TeeVee. They put on a great show. Wrasslin’ even more so – especially in the glory days of the WWF, when characters such as Iron Sheik and Hulk Hogan pretended to be heels and faces and some believed they really were. I think we have been watching a long-form wrasslin’ match for decades now, with serial characters pretending to be heels and faces and many of us believing they really are.

Trump is literally in the wrasslin’ hall of fame. He was personally inducted by Vince McMahon. Think about that. Could it be more obvious without them actually walking us through it? Instead, we – most of us – sleepwalk through it. I include myself, at least for awhile. I bought the show back in June of 2024, even though something deep in my noggin was pestering me it was all a fugazi. But it was a damned good show. Better even than Wrestlemania IV, when Andre the Giant pretended to lose the match to Hogan – whose real name wasn’t that, of course.

It looked so real!

And yet . . .  .

But it took awhile for it to really register. Probably because so many of us wanted – needed – it to be real. The great champion miraculously survives by fractions of an inch! He turned his head at precisely the crucial moment, as if a higher power had intervened to spare his life. Wagner could not have done better.

Then we got another show. It lasted a little longer; about a year. New characters were introduced, such as Elon Musk – who played the role of the face who fought the bureaucracy. The USAID sign on the side of the building being taken down was something like Hogan tearing up his T shirt at the Republican convention in that (again) it was all for show and carefully choreographed.

Now it is time for the next show. What will we see – and will we believe it?

Trump will pretend to be even more of an asshole than he actually is – so as to give the “Dumocrats” everything they need to orchestrate their own show. The Republican heels will pretend that they’ll be the faces next time around; just Vote Harder and you’ll see! The only way to end this show is to stop believing it isn’t a show. That the faces aren’t heels.

They are all heels – and it is all for show.

This does not mean the show is inconsequential. The powers behind the show are very real indeed. They want us to keep on watching – and lining up with the face of the moment, against the heel of the moment. What they do not want is for us to come to conscious understanding that there is someone like Vince McMahon running the show and that all the heels and faces work for him.
