It is awkward to bring this up but that does not mean it ought not to be brought up.
The day before Charlie Kirk was murdered, what was in the news? If you said Epstein’s birthday book – and specifically, the birthday card allegedly drawn by Donald Trump – then you’re one of those odd ducks we might refer to as a Rememberer.
It is a curious coincidence that just as that news was getting traction, it was forgotten – by most people, it seems – because everyone was suddenly focused on what happened to Kirk and what it means. Understandably. It was a momentous – even watershed – moment. Kirk was murdered while engaging in a peaceful debate/conversation on a college campus. His talking points are beside the point. His being murdered in that context is. It made it very clear that saying things not liked by others (and perhaps not liked by governments, both foreign and domestic) can get you killed.
But it can also change the course of discourse – as quickly as Kirk’s life ended. Whether coincidentally is beside the point. 
Kirk’s sudden, violent end certainly helped Trump. About that there can be no doubt. Did he breath a sigh of relief when the course of discourse shifted away from that birthday book – and that very creepy birthday card? To believe he didn’t is to believe an absurdity. It is of a piece (for those who remember) with believing George W.Bush and Donald Rumsfeld did not feel relief when the “enemies of freedom” very conveniently struck – at just the moment when it was very much in the news that the Defense Department had “lost” a very large sum of money . . .
People forgot all about the freedoms they used to have, too, after the “enemies of freedom” struck. It was a discourse ender.
There are many such. The attack on Pearl Harbor that the government almost certainly had advance warning of was another. It ended talk of not getting involved in the war in Europe – an interesting thing. The Tonkin Gulf “incident” – which never actually happened – is another of those interesting things.
Is the Epstein thing important? Trump seems to think so. And so did Charlie Kirk – until he spoke with Trump, who apparently convinced him to stop speaking about it. Here is what Kirk said not long before he was ended: “Honestly, I’m done talking about Epstein for the time being. I’m gonna trust my friends in the administration. I’m gonna trust my friends in the government.”
This was apparently after a phone call with Trump.
Trust his friends? Were they his friends? They are most certainly not our friends. If they are not, how could they be Kirk’s?
He may have just found out.
Yes, the Epstein thing is important, in part because it it was Trump himself who said it was important – while he was campaigning. Kind of like he said it was important to end the goddamned wars (and not start new ones). Elections do matter, it seems. In the sense that once elected, nothing matters. Americans who voted for Trump got a good show for the first six weeks or so. Then it reverted to the same old show.
Whenever people are urged to stop looking into something because there’s nothing to see here, it is almost a mathematical certainty that there is something to see there. Does it matter whether Trump – some 20 years ago – drew a caricature of a naked woman and wrote some cryptic but creepy birthday wishes to Epstein? It does, if the truth matters. Nixon once famously said that the American people have got to know whether their president is a crook – which of course Nixon was. They all are, by definition – because politics is not an honest business.
Do Americans have the right to know whether their president is a predator? It’s a question that deserves an answer. It’s also one no one’s asking all of a sudden.

If you watch the video, you’ll notice that the gunshot sound and Charlie getting hit are simultaneous. No delay due to the difference between the bullet speed and the speed of sound. At 160 yards, that should be about 1/3 second. That means either the mic was near the gun or Charlie was shot at point blank range.
I think planning the murder of Kirk to manipulate the news cycle is too random a stretch.

We know he publicly called his then-teenage daughter “hot” – which is really sick, in my view. Also that he’d date her, if she weren’t his daughter. We know he was friends with Epstein. There are photos of him and videos of him partying with the guy. He also is said to have barged into the dressings room of girls/women in the Miss Teen/Miss America pageant, which he could do because he owned the shows and no one could stop him.
These are pieces of fact that tend toward the visualization of a pattern regarding who the man is. If similar allegations were made about Ron Paul, I’d dismiss them out of hand absent evidence. We’ll see… I think (personal opinion here) that this story is so explosive – not so much because of the exploitation of women and possibly young girls by powerful old men – but because of the blackmail aspect. There is a lot of evidence to support the contention that Epstein was a Mossad asset and that his operations were all about honey-trapping powerful men, so as to compromise them and coerce their obedience to the Israeli agenda. These presidents… they get to where they believe their own press releases. This really screws things up for their second terms. Most every modern president has been a one-hit wonder. The first term goes great. 6 months to a year of good news, good vibes and high approval ratings. Maybe get some signature legislation passed. Swing the mid-terms in your party’s favor. Press conferences are jovial fun.
But then they feel it necessary to get reelected. Well, what’s new? Some new “landmark” legislation that will radically shift the country that will land with a thud. All those deals you made to get stuff done over the last 4 years will come back to bite you. Congress will pass some utterly stupid bill and you’ll sign it, taking the blame.
