When I served in the US Navy, I was on a couple of drug patrols. We had a detailed set of procedures and protocols to follow, especially when boarding a vessel not registered in the US. We’d have to contact the State Department. DoS would then contact the nation where the vessel was registered. Only when the other nation gave permission could we board the vessel.
That was not all though. US Navy personnel couldn’t board a vessel suspected of hauling drugs; only US Coast Guard personnel could do that. Because of that, whenever we went out on drug patrol, we first had to have a 10 man team from the USCG, the TACLET (for tactical law enforcement team), who’d do the actual boarding. Per US law back then, only USCG personnel could board vessels suspected of hauling drugs.
Finally, speedboats are only used for the first or final leg a a drug’s trip to the US. At the exporting point, they’re used to haul the drugs out to ships capable of making an open ocean voyage. Once the drugs were brought near the US coast, they’d either be transferred from the ship to the boats, or they’d be dropped from an airplane. At that point, speedboats would take the drugs into the US. There’s NFW these speedboats are being used to bring the drugs all the way here! Hence, our shooting the speedboats is illegal.
Not to mention that destroying these speedboats goes against the rules of engagement. The ROEs would vary, depending on where you were, what you were doing, etc. However, a standard ROE for US forces has normally been do not fire until fired upon; IOW, the other guy had to shoot first before we could shoot him. Where are the ROEs here?
Finally, this whole drug war is a joke. Yeah, I said it! I figured that out during one of our drug patrols. One, our ships were being deployed right off the Colombian coast, so those shipping the drugs would run and hide; we didn’t deploy ships at the choke points in the Caribbean. I’m talking about putting a ship or two between Mexico and Cuba; between Cuba and Hispanola; between Hispanola and Puerto Rico; finally deploy a few USCG boats or cutters around FL. That’ll catch your traffickers. Secondly, the parameters we used for calling in suspected drugs smuggling aircraft would only nail the small timers. While I can’t reveal the specific speed and altitude parameters we used for calling in aircraft (my last name isn’t Clinton after all), I can say this: they were low enough and slow enough that anyone who was anybody in the drug smuggling business wouldn’t have been called in.
Now, if I, someone who’d stood sonar and radar watches, a mere crew member, could figure this out, I knew DAMN WELL that the Admirals and Generals in the Pentagon could figure it out! After all, they’d been to War College, studied strategy, and all that. Ergo, the bigwigs in the US Gov’t know about drugs coming in; they allow it; and they’re probably on the take. They’re not serious about fighting the drug war. If they were, their actions would reflect that.
Those are my thoughts…
It’s kinda, ‘funny’. You prolly felt like you were going out on a limb, speaking this, truth.
Hoping, it would make a difference.
I hope, it does.
I know, what going out on a limb, is like.
“They’re not serious about fighting the drug war.”
They Never were.

Ditto. Thanks for your explanation.

As the kids say, shit’s getting real.
Did you know that Venezuela stole their land and oil from US? In the same way you stole your lunch money from the school bully, only more apocalyptic.
Fuck this beta-carotene stained shit-sack.

There is no way my sanity would be able to withstand listening to the Orange Despot blather on tonight. The breaking point is imminent and there does not seem to be any way to flush the shit away before we are all coated with it. I am NOT proud to be an American.
“I am NOT proud to be an American.”
I am absolutely there with you, Metal Queen. Last night, the TV News was telling me how 68% of “Americans” want “drunk-driving prevention technology” in all new vehicles. That might be complete bullshit, but as of late, I look around at what this country has become and if these are Americans, I’m ashamed to call myself one.
As has been the case throughout history, newer generations were handed things they did not earn and, therefore, do not respect. We are now sprinkled among such Americans, and they are taking us in a ride to hell. Proud? No longer sure. Ashamed, most definitely. Give a shit? Losing interest and increasingly hoping for rapture or an oreshnik to put this corpse of a country out of its misery.
It’s particularly disturbing when it is the younger generations who eschew freedom and cry to be given entitlements while the older generations speak of a better time of now-lost liberties that is mourned like the ghost of an old friend. That’s an alarming inversion and probably the signal of the end of a Fourth Turning.
On a related note 97% of statistics are pulled from a place dank, dark, and foul!
Exactly. it’s the same place all the so called ‘ballots’ come from. Polls are rarely designed to simply take the pulse of the people. They are more about pushing the public into the desired opinion of the owners, and tricking the soft heads into going along. If they cant succeed at that, they lie. Not sure your disappointment in the younger generations is entirely warranted, BaDnOn.
‘doubling the word count halves the number of readers’
Count me in that lost half. However scholarly and sound his treatises might be, his verbosity and penchant for first-person reference render his writing insufferable. He sounds like Obama at Daniel Inouye’s funeral.
Trump Isn’t Building A Ballroom
‘When Trump announced a $300 million ballroom at the White House, something went off in my brain. The pattern recognition part started tingling. Ninety thousand square feet, $300 million, underground construction at a secure government facility. I had heard about something like this before. Something with those exact specifications, that scale, that price point.
‘It took me a minute to place it, but then I remembered: Oracle’s underground data centers in Jerusalem. Built in 2021 for Israeli military intelligence. Nine stories into bedrock, designed to survive missile strikes, built to house AI systems that make life-and-death decisions in real time. Ninety thousand square feet. $319 million. Nearly identical specs to what Trump just announced.
‘That’s the moment I started digging.’
https://thedreydossier.substack.com/p/trump-isnt-building-a-ballroom
This extensively-footnoted essay presents a highly coherent thesis. Read his functional analysis of the roles each of the private donors to the so-called ballroom plays.
My conclusion: the paranoid, narcissistic Trump is preparing to survive WW III — although regrettably, most of us expendable little people will not.
DC’s Power Grid
‘So I started looking at what’s been happening with DC’s power infrastructure, and that’s where the timeline becomes impossible to ignore. In August and September 2025, just weeks after Trump announced the ballroom in July, Pepco filed emergency requests for major infrastructure work near the East Wing. They’re not making incremental improvements. They’re replacing 45-year-old power feeders and increasing power capacity in this area by five times. Five hundred percent.
‘Here’s what makes that absurd: downtown DC office occupancy has been declining since COVID. Buildings sit half-empty. Commercial real estate demand has shrunk. Power demand in this area should be flat or declining. But Trump announces a ballroom in July, and by August, emergency filings go in to increase power capacity by 500 percent. Downtown DC is half-empty, but apparently we need five times the power for a dance floor.’
Drey goes full snark:
‘Then there’s Caterpillar, which makes industrial generators providing over 100 megawatts of backup power. Union Pacific, which owns 14,000 miles of classified fiber optic cables serving as the Department of Defense’s secure telecommunications backbone. Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Palantir. Booz Allen Hamilton, which builds classified networks for intelligence agencies. Blackstone, installing over 200 megawatts of backup power infrastructure.
‘And you know what’s not on this list? Baccarat crystal, Versace, Hermès, Tiffany, or Steinway. The luxury brands that would murder their competitors to be associated with White House state dinners. None of them are here.
‘What we have instead: classified telecommunications networks, data center cooling systems, electromagnetically shielded rooms, and 100-megawatt generators. Classic ballroom essentials.’
And exactly the kind of big-muscled, grandiose military/natsec project that Repugniclowns just luvvvvv … not that Donnie would actually share his classified plans with Congress Clown nobodies like Mike’s Johnson and John Thunetang.
Well, I guess this explains the drop to 99 million Americans remaining per the 2014 Deagal Report. The other 230 million of us are sayonara.
They may outlive us, but I hope they spend an eternity in hell.
230 million, that’s a lot of politicians.
Good riddance.
Also, we pretty much definitely aren’t going to get nuked unless someone does something that specifically provokes that kind of response (bombing Moscow, for instance). What are these dumb@sses cooking up that they aren’t telling us about?
230 million is the number of Americans “fully vaxxed”.
Morning, J!
Remember when some said the “vaccines” were going to kill most if not all who got injected? Well, so far, this does not seem to be happening. Yes, I know – there have been deaths and yes, I have heard about “turbo cancer.” But a mass death wave? Not that I can see – yet. Now, if it happens it will be nothing less than apocalyptic, per the Deagle Report. But if it does not happen, it will make those who predicted it would look like hysterics, much the same as the people who went berserk when they saw someone not wearing a “mask.”
Wasn’t that supposed to have happened by now? Maybe the die off will begin one morning when everyone wakes up to see the balances in their retirement and bank accounts have gone to zero, then off themselves in spectacular fashion. Hopefully many direct their anger where it belongs. Every single politician from the last 20 years. There really are no good ones, and they’ve all partaken of the grift that got us here.
I have noticed a thing in my neighborhood where people get carted off in an ambulance in the middle of the night. Twice now on my street. It’s weird how the fire department drives in stealth like, slow and quiet so as not to wake everyone.
I read that yesterday. That is extremely revealing information if what she is saying is true, particularly the part how “Pepco filed emergency requests for major infrastructure work near the East Wing” when Pepco has quite the history of being unable to restore power to neighborhoods after it gets knocked out by nothing special snow/ice/tropical storms that are known to hit the area. Of course they would suddenly discover their otherwise non-existent competency when the “special people” are involved.
What a horror show.
More evidence in favor of a $400 million underground data center below the White House:
‘A federal judge said Tuesday he’s leaning toward denying the National Trust’s request to temporarily halt President Donald Trump ‘s White House ballroom project, saying the organization failed to show that “irreparable harm” would be caused if the project moves forward.
‘In the meantime, U.S. District Judge Richard Leon warned the administration to not make decisions on underground work, such as the routing of plumbing and gas lines, that would dictate the scope of future ballroom construction above ground. If that were to happen, Leon said, “the court will address it, I assure you of that.”
‘Adam Gustafson, the principal deputy assistant attorney general, argued at the hearing that underground construction must continue for national security reasons that were not outlined in open court. He also said Trump is exempt from federal laws the Trust said he has failed to follow.’ — AP News

‘Exempt from federal laws’ — the definition of a dictator. We’ve come a long way from Newt Gingrich’s Contract With America, which insisted that Congress Clowns follow the same laws ordinary Americans do. With the Mango Messiah, the degenerate R-party now flaunts in-our-face impunity and lawlessness. Crush it like a bug.
Don’t sell oil to China without permission, and make damn sure you’re using Federal Reserve notes to trade. Got it.
Even if you’re a communist dictator?
Not even if you’re a communist dictator.
Quite simple really.
Today Ron Unz published an 8,300-word essay titled ‘Donald Trump as our President Caligula.’ [I’ve reminded Ron Unz several times that doubling the word count halves the number of readers. But he still thinks long is synonymous with excellent.] Edited excerpt:
‘In many respects, Trump’s second term has become the reign of President Caligula. Just as Caligula proved to Romans that their traditional republican system of government no longer existed, the bold, unilateral actions taken by Trump have revealed to all Americans that our own traditional form of constitutional government has been transformed into something very different.
‘Important stages of that transformation took place under several previous presidents, but they successfully concealed this reality, assisted by the active collusion of the mainstream media. However, Trump has now crudely torn off all those gauzy blindfolds and revealed the truth for everyone to see.
‘During his 2020 presidential campaign, [Trump’s enemies] essentially stole the election from him, denounced him as an insurrectionist, and hunted down and prosecuted hundreds of the Trumpists who had stormed the capitol.
‘Therefore, it was not entirely surprising that when Trump won the 2024 presidential race, he became a far more erratic and unbalanced leader, launching a wave of extremely vindictive attacks against all his political and media enemies and cutting all sorts of legal corners to do so.
‘In metaphorical terms, after driving Trump from office in the 2020 election, his enemies cut off his nose, and they are now reaping the political consequences of what they did. But unfortunately our entire country and system of government has been suffering the same fate.’
https://www.unz.com/runz/donald-trump-as-our-president-caligula/
This is not Trump Derangement Syndrome. It is rather a meticulously argued case that Trump has altered the structure of government with unilateral executive decisions. Trump’s reckless abuses have set a precedent which will enable our next communist dictator, starting on Jan 20, 2029. 🙁
Unz on Hegseth:
‘I’m not sure of the last time any major power has put its military under the control of a totally unqualified, incompetent, and heavily tattooed drunken rapist, and I suspect that even the overwhelming majority of Third World countries would balk at such a doubtful personnel decision.’
Fuckin’ A — hang him high!
Amen, Jim!
This guy is our iteration of Oscar Dirlewanger. For those who do not recognize the name: https://www.beachesofnormandy.com/articles/The_Dirlewanger_Brigade/?id=1d61aa0dbc
Jesus, Eric. I got my lesson in gruesome history this morning.
When even the SS says that you’re out of control and need to go, you know you’ve hit a new high in depravity.
Hi Jim,
I agree re Unz. Brilliant guy but writing articles is not the same as writing books.
I’m Kenny from southpark…
And I approve this message.
Thanks to the Chimp, “Saddam’s WMDs” is now a cynical joke. It was a grotesque lie about nonexistent weapons. But it cost the US trillions of dollars, and cost countless lives as well.
Tainted, hyperbolic claims about “WMDs” and “narco-terrorists” obviously are pretexts for war. They are also pretexts for evading Congressional oversight.
War criminal Pete Hegseth just upped the ante by summarily executing eight more people in boats in the eastern Pacific. Like von Ribbentrop, Hegseth deserves to hang. We’re the mad dog aggressors now.
The Chimp knew better than to get involved with the Venezuelan expats’ schemes to return to power. Granted, the advice probably came from Jeb!, but “W” heeded the advice.
Good reminder that it was Cheney and the Chip (sounds like a good name for a grunge band) brought us to the present dystopia. The Patriot Act and the Amerikan Gestapo aka DHS were birthed by those evil s.o.b.’s and it’s been downhill for our rights ever since.
Drugs like fentanyl and meth are awful and cause tremendous harm – but I sincerely doubt the US guvment under the Orange Emperor Caligula Trumpenstein is concerned about that, since the CIA is the biggest narcotics dealer on the planet.
https://israelpalestinenews.org/israel-is-pushing-for-regime-change-in-venezuela/
Eric, your Chimp impression is spot on! Made me chuckle.
Thanks, Philo!
To this day, I am still triggered by that inbred, lisping little psychopath.
Chimp was not a very good liar either, the one thing that I remember was some speech he was giving, and he nervously scanned the audience to see if they were buying the bullshit he was spewing, which obviously he knew was bullshit. I forget which speech it was, but I remember it clearly – and I knew he was in on the 911 inside job, as president he authorized the attack on the nation to kick off the Global War of Terror.
Either With Us Or With The Terrorists – Bush
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qdvm6h8WKg
Amen, Jack –
The Chimp was different from Trump in many ways. One being The Chimp, though a cruel and callous man, like Trump, was unable to hide his native sadism. Trump masks his in false bonhomie, which fools many. If you have not read what his ghost writer has to say about him, I recommend checking that out.
Hi Philo,
Something that is weird is that many liberals who once had less than flattering names for W or even HATED him when he was president now LOVE the guy, while more right leaning people liked him once upon a time but now see that much of the “Homeland” and “Surveillance State” regime that is festering in the U.S. government got its start under W, NOT Donald Trump as some people seem to think. It gradually metastasized in successive presidential administrations.
A significant difference would seem that this declaration provide thin veneer that mobile drug labs and domestic smuggling networks are fair game for military action. With Bush’s folly it was brown people in countries most Americans could not find on a map. They are going to be in for a serious dope slap when those Bearcats full of SEALs show up in Anytown, USA.
