Schools in my area have been closed for going on two weeks now – because it snowed about that long ago. It flurried a little the other night and that was enough, apparently, to keep them closed. Never mind that the roads are clear. There might be a patch of unmelted snow – or ice! – on a sidestreet somewhere.
Someone might slip!
It’s laughable – pitiable – to people who grew up in the Before Time, when schools were only closed if a blizzard hit and only after it actually hit. Not because the weather guy said it might snow. We kids of the Before Time had to wait for the snow and hope there was enough to get them to close the schools. Often, there was a two-hour delay. It was rare that we got the whole day off.
What is Safetyism doing to the minds of today’s kids? Imagine growing up the way the kids grow up today, trunk-or-treating in the school gym rather than hooliganing with other kids from door to door on your own. Being taught to fear cars – and driving – via overt and subtle conditioning, beginning with the Safety Seat Thing. Now it’s devolved to being afraid of snow. That it might snow.
In the Before Time, when it snowed, we took to the roads with gusto, if we were old enough to drive. It is how we learned how to drive. There is no better teacher than experience. But these are experiences the kids of this time are denied.
Saaaaaaaaaaaaaafety first!
This is actually dangerous – because it is inducing passivity; a state of helplessness learned by preventing kids from learning through experience how to deal with life. It is probably deliberate. Does a cattle rancher want steers – or bulls? Steers are easier to control. Do you know how a bull becomes a steer? It is basically the same method used on us, today – and for basically the same reason.
Eventually – logically – we will be herded into “safe” cities, where passivity is the way people (if you want to use that word) will live (if you want to call it that). They will experience everything very safely, probably virtually.
Maybe they’ll like it, too. Steers seem to be content. It’s just the bulls among us who are not liking where this is headed.

I agree it’s going to hurt our youth a lot. I fought against it raising our kids. Won most of the time. It damaged my local reputation a lot, but it also showed me who my enemies were and who I wouldn’t dare waste my time with.
I’m trying pretty hard to teach our young adults how to fight it now as they start families, etc…
I imagine, there’s LOTS of this going on, “damaged my local reputation a lot, but it also showed me who my enemies were”
[Sheet! I wanted to post a link from yesterday’s LRC webpage about Knights and their code of conduct. How-freaking-evah; they are at the stage of, “Tomorrow’s Page is Coming Soon. Please check back shortly.” there’s no ‘Previous Day’ link! I guess you’ll just have to imagine.?] And, yah, I just called you a Knight.
A cleaning lady I know, and a few of her friends and relatives, are SO fed up with ALL the BullShit, they’ve declared to each other, they’re not going to pay their taxes this year.
I thought that was interesting. …Some lowly cleaning ladies…
Morning Helot –
If only there were some way to coordinate such a protest. If 30 percent of us refused to play along, the play would end.
RE: “If only there were some way”?
Who is, the next Charlie Kirk, to put this together?
I wish I had the moxie for that.
While reading this, it was obvious, most American’t’s don’t know the difference between a steer and a bull.
I imagine, and know of, some American’t’s, who shield their eyes and cover their ears at even the notion of steers, or any kind of cruelty depicted on the TeeVee. …Imagine that, times a million +
…close. minded. Oblivious. … I shall refrain from further description.
Eric – must read,
The latest DOJ batch of Epstein files reveal that by the time the world encountered COVID-19, the financial, philanthropic, and institutional machinery to manage—and profit from—a pandemic was already firmly in place.
https://sayerji.substack.com/p/breaking-the-epstein-files-illuminate
—————-
related information found on the web:
All preplanned, Jeffrey Epstein was at the center of the pandemic.
“Epstein asked Bill Gates: “How do we get rid of poor people as a whole?” This is the “Zero” frequency in its purest form. It confirms that at the highest level of “philanthropy,” the talk is not about helping people, but about eliminating a population group. It links the Epstein files directly to the eugenics agenda (depopulation).”

THE EMAIL THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING
Date: March 20, 2015
To: Jeffrey Epstein
Subject: Preparing for Pandemics
Key line: “Please find attached a draft agenda for the meeting on preparing for pandemics, as requested. Let’s discuss next steps, for example how to officially involve the WHO and ICRC (i.e. co-branding).”
Epstein — the pedophile blackmail kingpin with zero medical credentials — gets invited to shape global pandemic strategy and decide how the WHO would be used as the public face. That single word “co-branding” exposes the whole game: fake legitimacy for a manufactured crisis. They weren’t preparing for a virus. They were preparing the world for control.
THE TIMELINE THEY CAN’T HIDE ANYMORE
– 2015 — Epstein receives the elite pandemic agenda straight from Geneva insiders pushing WHO cover.
– 2017-2019 — Epstein’s island and New York mansion host biotech billionaires, AI surveillance freaks, and “pandemic gaming” sessions with the exact people who later ran the show.
– Early 2020 — The scripted “outbreak” hits. WHO declares pandemic on cue. Lockdowns roll out worldwide.
– 2025 — Trump forces millions of sealed Epstein pages into daylight.
– 2026 — This email surfaces. The mask is off. The people see the strings
They rehearsed it. They branded it with corrupt global bodies. They used Epstein’s trafficking and kompromat network to keep every elite player in line. And when the time came, they unleashed hell on humanity — destroyed small businesses, forced experimental shots, tracked every movement, transferred trillions to BlackRock and Pfizer cronies, all while laughing from their bunkers.
WHY EPSTEIN? BECAUSE HE WAS THE ENFORCER
He wasn’t there for science. He was there to guarantee compliance. Island parties, underage girls, hidden cameras, private jets — the leverage that made sure no one stepped out of line when the “plandemic” launched. Send your pandemic proposal through Epstein and you knew it would reach the real decision-makers without leaks. That’s how tight the cabal ran the operation.
And yet, there are people who STILL think that the draconian COVID response at the state and federal levels were about “Protecting Public health from a deadly pandemic”, and that the UNVAXXED prolonged the “pandemic”.
I try not to, John B.
Their failure to critically think, disgusts me.
“… We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.” …

A while back, Mike Rowe of “Dirty Jobs” fame discussed safety at length and came to the (correct) conclusion that if safety is #1, nothing would ever get done. Every job, no matter how small would be ensnared in safety rules so onerous, the primary purpose of completing the task at hand would be secondary to the safety regime.
Safety is important, but getting the job done must be the ultimate goal.
Oh, no, no, no. It’s only the bowing down to ‘safety”. See, you don’t understand the safety cult.
It’s not that a job is dangerous, it only matters how well you, toe “the safety line’.
A job in a factory could be dangerous as sheet, but what matters is, how well you obey the spelled out directives of safety.
EVEN IF, such safety rules, resulted in the opposite.
Case in point: … fuck that, I won’t bore you with details & most don’t care. Multiply that times, ten million, I imagine.
Hab a nice day.
Like most of corporate America, it’s a humiliation ritual. And a means of identifying & destroying the noncompliant. And a way to cover their asses in the event of a lawsuit.
For all you living in Virginia, more gun safety coming your way:

Cue the Me Libertywood song…
And Im proud to be Virginian.
And I love my tyranny.

I keep hearing, “And the Land of the Flea, and The Home of, The Slave”.
Like, is it beamed?
The more snow days for the kids the better for their long term mental health and intelligence. Keep the children out of the communist indoctrination camps. They are much better off staying at home watching their phones and playing video games.
Sure does seem like, damned if you do, damned if you don’t.
Unless, of course, you take charge as a parent?
But, Idk.
I hate this fucking safety crap everyone is so paranoid of death soon you will have to wear a bubble wrap suit and helmet to leave the house being it’s for your own safety you can decide what is safer for your self only some little dictator can decree what is good or not.
Seems like, it’s already been established that some little hall-monitor dictator already decrees what is good for you or not.
I hate this fucking safety crap, too.
Shhhhhh! Don’t give the Saaaaaaaaaaafety zealots any ideas. It was just a few years ago that they DEMANDED EVERYONE wear face diapers everywhere because of a “pandemic”, despite years of evidence showing face diapers were completely useless against respiratory viruses like the dreaded ‘Rona and may have actually been MORE HARMFUL than getting the ‘Rona.
Or…if you did not get your mandatory jabs for the month, your vehicle shuts off, and your bank accounts shut down until you comply. Guess I should not give them any ideas, but if breathalyzers are in the pipeline, you can be sure they have far more safety “goodies” for us plebs who mistakenly thought they were free.
After years of listening to the radio in the morning when it snowed over night and was still snowing only for school to never* be closed I gave up and stopped even listening. -27F below zero without windchill? You betcha school is open. 10 inches of snow? Well too bad, get to school even though the plow piles meant walking in street. Now if there is a prediction of a dry and cold day of like -5F they close the schools.
*I had one snow day in first grade due to some obscene late 1970s ice age is coming snow fall, but after that, never.
RE: “obscene late 1970s ice age is coming snow fall,”
Yah, we got that snow back then here in Eastern Iowa, too.
In my humble opinion, we’ve not had a snow like that since then.
Anyway, don’t let me interrupt how you’re describing how mom’s today, and the goobermint co-ed prisons, ‘er I mean, public schools, are creating weak willed humans prone to obedience and fearful of adversity.
…That’s, The Plan.
A great shame is on those in goobermint who allow and promote such, the greater shame is on parents who go along.
When I read stories like this I’m eternally grateful to be in fly-over country. There’s plenty of what-if and for the children but by and large people just get on with things and expect that of others. Except for in K.C. but I avoid going over there just as much as possible.
At least when we were kids a snow day was a rare gift, time to get out the sled and play in the snow. Now the poor slobs have to do remote learning instead, what a soul killer. This is brought to you via the teacher’s union so that the day(s) count towards the required number of “school days”. That way school will be over before the end of June and everyone can head for their summer cottages.
The Safety Cult is going to grab your guns next:
“VA House Democrats pass sweeping gun control package over GOP objections
Measures include an assault weapons ban, expanded gun industry liability and new storage rules”

This is why I remain in the “vote for the lesser of two evils” camp…
I saw this, X –
It’s a line in the sand for me. I will not be “criminalized” for having the means at hand to defend myself against criminals. These people are our enemies. There is no reconciling with them. And – thanks to the Orange Baboon – it’s going to end up getting very ugly.
You can have the means of defending yourself against criminals- an old single shot 12 gage works fine for keeping a stupid criminal at bay.
The whole point of the second amendment (and the rest of the bill of prohibitions) is to always be able to defend yourself against government- to make law enforcement difficult or impossible. For too long I’ve seen people parrot the line that government has a monopoly on the use of force within its jurisdiction- that is hogwash and the 2A says precisely otherwise.
Fortunately it’s not a democracy, and nobody gets to vote on what kind of effective weapons you have and use.
Unfortunately, if you aren’t willing to fight at the voting booth (and yes, absolutely for the lesser of profferred evils) and by standing as a leader, your choices are submit or fight.
You forgot “Evade” and “Escape”
And the correct acronym is SERE
I used to think you were kinda smart, but this bit, whoa, you’re clueless and defenseless:
“You can have the means of defending yourself against criminals- an old single shot 12 gage works fine for keeping a stupid criminal at bay.”
Seriously, you’re quite dense on this subject.
Is that you, Joe Biden?
This IS Virginia. Orange baboon has nothing to do with it.
Virginia has always been the NY of the South.
I disagree, J –
Youngkin – a Republican – won the previous election. What changed? Trump returned – and seriously pissed off the government workers and Democrats generally enough to blow Winsome Sears into oblivion. It’ foolish to not see this as an ominous portent. Trump is not a popular mandate president. He won by a few thousand votes in key states. He cannot afford to lose any votes. But he is energizing the Left and losing independents and even people like me, who’d never vote for someone like Harris (or Spanberger) but are likely to stop voting altogether.
Wait and see.
Well, for my sake, stop voting.
Trump returned and pissed off the ingrained .gov cos in VA. Are you kidding me? I hate Virginia now more than ever after your asinine statement
May ypir chains rest lightly.
Oy vey, J –
It’s Trump – and his supporters – who are being asinine. Unless you think – as one of my “Q” friends does – that this all part of some master plan to educate the “normies.” What was helpful about the president posting a video of the Obamas as apes – and himself as a strutting lion? Do you think this sort of thing appeals to intelligent, mature, psychologically normal adults? Do you think it causes independents and moderates – the people who determined the outcome of the ’24 election – to want to support Trump and Republicans generally? Do you think things such as this help the prospects of Republicans, going forward?
My “Q” friend – who watches The Devolution Power Hour religiously – told me he was sure Spanberger was going to lose because (paraphrasing) “all those soccer moms who pretend to be Leftists have kids and they don’t really want trannies in the kids’ bathrooms at school.”
The Kool Aid is 190 proof.
Dude, you just literally doubled down with TDS.
Instead pf addressing Virginia, you went off on me as if I were a Q person.
I am seriously losimg respect for you now.
Wow, J. You totally missed the point.
Whoosh!
Par, for the course, I guess?
Carry on.
I should add that it is important to remember that the Jewish billionaire oligarch Bloomberg is behind all of this. Yes, he has shabbos goyim fronting for him, but he spent $100 million to hire lawyers to research and write this legislation in states with Democrat majorities. NY, IL, CA, WA, RI, DE, MA, CO… Virginia and New Mexico are next.
It should also be noted that Bloomberg created exemptions in the laws so that he and his fortune can be guarded by security with “assault weapons” and “high capacity magazines” every second of every day for the rest of his life, 24-7-365.
After all, he is one of “God’s Chosen,” you lowly goyim cannot be allowed the right to own guns for self-defense, only he and his kind have lives worthy of preservation.
The South needs to secede again — but sadly, without Virginia. It was carpetbagged and turned rancid, like a piedmont New Jersey on the right bank of the Potomac.
This is only a preview of what happens after the R-party gets smashed to pieces this coming November, thanks to the demented Orange Oaf who has forever discredited the Party of Lincoln.
His proposed Independence Arch in Arlington, Virginia, in the unlikely event that it’s actually built, will look like this after Spanberger & Co. ‘decorate’ it:
https://tinyurl.com/2p8e7etc
Does anyone think I’m joking??
Reading Eric’s story I was thinking to myself how a supposedly conservative area like SW Virginia could respond to a storm like this. Hell, here in NJ we got the same amount and type of snow and schools were closed for only a day. And no remote learning either.
It seems like the states that are low tax or somewhat low tax are ripe for the Progressive invasion and it’s well underway. They already ruined states like mine. Our new governor is just as bad as Spanberger but she can’t really do much. Taxes at all levels are already sky high and she’s having to talk about budget cuts. Everyone here is tapped out. But in a place like Virginia there is plenty of room to raise taxes. And the people will slowly accept it for some reason just like they did here. They will complain but keep voting in the same types.
“And the people will slowly accept it for some reason just like they did here. They will complain but keep voting in the same types.”
And those who don’t vote will still not vote, only complain. You can’t vote your way out, no, but you can’t also not vote your way out.
I swear, the perversion of the NAP was the death of libertarianism as a viable philosophy.
RE: “You can’t vote your way out, no, but you can’t also not vote your way out.”
That’s, absurd.
RE: “I swear, the perversion of the NAP”
Likewise, absurd.
I guess, your answer is, vote harder next time? …Psft!
I don’t Jim –
It’s very “real” for me. I’m on the verge of becoming an Instant Felon. Do I stay – and damn the torpedoes? – or do I fall back to some slightly better place, such as a holler in West Virginia?
I need to get the TA finished ASAP.
They’ll allow you a way to “comply” by registering your stuff and getting rid of your 10+ magazines. But that’s a humiliation ritual and they know it.
After that, it’s “One wrong move, buddy” and they come take it all.
Eric,
We are already felons, honey. I guarantee each American already breaks several laws a day. On this forum, it’s probably in the hundreds.
Personally, they can pass whatever they want, because I am going to ignore it. We lived through the biggest psych op in history just six years ago. I have little respect for their rules, regulations, and laws, and absolutely zero respect for any of them.
People can choose to run, but when it follows you then what? Eventually, one runs out of spots to hide. Stand your ground and tell them to kiss your ass.
Hi RG,
Many of them also wanted to make it illegal to be UNVACCINATED. And with the obsessive push for NET ZERO from many governments framed as “Stopping cliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiimate change”, they’ll likely also eventually push to make it ILLEGAL to BREATHE, use anything that uses gasoline, or even eat MEAT.
Hi John,
You are correct. During the Plandemic most of us were constantly weaving, skirting, and dodging their stupid demands. After living through that I no longer fear them or their attempts at tyranny.
Morning RG!
Same here – though I’d add I just don’t care anymore. Let them come. I am so done with playing along. I am not looking for a fight. But if one comes I’m not going to run away from it.
You & me both RG
Or maybe it would be fair to say, I can see what’s coming next & fear compliance (& the consequences thereof) even more.
Either way, functionally it’s the same thing.
To the extent that it’s true (increasingly I wonder…) that “it can’t happen here,”. this — this right here — is the reason why, and unfortunately most people are much too cowardly and/or stupid to appreciate that.
Ironic in the mentioning of not eating meat. TPTB (and the WEF) want to use mosquitoes to induce a meat allergy in us plebs. They are damned determined to put their boots on our necks.
IIRC Shadow, that meat allergy the globalist sociopaths want to induce in us (under guise of stopping what else? Cliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiimate change) called Alpha Gal syndrome.
Aaaaannnd now we know the real reason why DDT was banned.
Change my mind.
The important bit is not to be running from something, but to something. I understand it’s tough as you build up friends and commitments and such, and even sympathize. Don’t know if I could move now. Thankfully, I chose well 30 years ago, even if it was harder to make a living here than it had been in the city.
It’s unfortunate that it wasn’t as clear before all those entanglements as it is now, but there’s no rewinding the clock. Get to know all those of like mind in your neck of the woods, and maybe more importantly, those who are not.
100 percent, RG –
I feel the same – and have done the same – and will do the same, going forward! Let’s just laugh in their faces, like we did during “COVID”! Mocking them is almost as potent as ignoring them.
Hi Eric, RG, et al,
The Highwire played a hilarious TikTok parody the other day mocking CNN. As many here may already know, CNN, along with most if not all other corporate media, have become little more than mouthpieces for the Democratic Party, Big Pharma, and/ or the American Empire….
https://thehighwire.com/ark-videos/the-empire-strikes-facts/
You are still “East of the Mississippi” in your thinking Eric.
Yes, the grass is absolutely greener to the East of that river, but is that the grass to fight for? From what I see, that is where the Golden Hordes are.
Even backwoods W Virginia sucks because the cops there make you lick their boots. There are too many of them with plenty of time on their hands.
No place is perfect, but there are plenty of better states than Virginia. Vote with your wallet. Take your tax money elsewhere. I currently pay NO state income tax. In return, my home state of Georgia has lost my income tax revenue. For which it does not care. It gave tax breaks to Hollywood so that liberal vermin would move in and destroy the last great Big Little city was left in the South.
Carpetbagging is alive and well even today.
Hi J,
You write: “No place is perfect, but there are plenty of better states than Virginia. ”
Such as? How?
No state income tax – but probably much higher property taxes. Or worse gun laws. Or some other thing. That thing might be a place that’s freezing cold six-plus months every year. Or a desert. I’ve looked at TN and West Virginia and Arkansas and they have some marginal advantages. Not huge ones. It’s not enough – yet – to prompt a move. Especially since (for me) it would mean figuring out how to retire many years before I’m old and ready to retire.
First and foremost, you are expecting a baby boomer outcome when you are a disadvantaged GenX
Wake up.
There is nothing more I can say than to wake up. There is NO American dream anymore.
But yes, I will not be paying any state income taxes or property taxes this year. Only federal taxes.
Enjoy your tyranny. However, I know you did not vote for it, you absolutely deserve the tyranny you hang out for. Those neighbors you think are on your side, “are they?”. They are not your “blood”. They will stab you in the back and take all your shit because you are weak.
Wake up.
You are really arguing that Eric deserves the tyranny he lives under because he chooses to remain in his home in Virginia, because, after all, he has to continue paying state income taxes and property taxes? As he has pointed out, there is no shortage of tyranny in any other state where he could live, and moving would involve massive tradeoffs. There is no libertarian paradise.
Since you pay federal income taxes, by your own argument, you also deserve the tyranny you are living under. After all, you could leave the US, renounce your citizenship, and move to another country where you would not have to pay any more federal income taxes.
Thanks for the back-up, Martin!
Your point about federal taxes is apt. Why not just move to… somewhere that does not tax income? Wherever that might be.
Hi Martin. Brown nose much?
I cannot stand folks like you who argue semantics. I am freer here than I was in the South. Period.
I will make Eric’s stupid argument that I will stay in the USA and fight it out. Except I choose a better hill to fight on.
You accuse me of brown nosing? The point I made applies not just to Eric but to anyone who chooses to live in an area that may have high taxes or other oppressive features. The decision of where to live is based on multiple factors, of which high taxes is only one. Your argument that anyone who doesn’t move to the area with the lowest taxes deserves the tyranny they live under, despite all other considerations, is a truly stupid argument. There is nothing semantical about this point.
J,
This is victim blaming. And – as Martin noted – why don’t you move somewhere outside the US to get away from the tyranny of federal taxes? Else you deserve to pay those taxes. I don’t want to get into a pissing match with you over this. But you have yet to cite an example of a “free” state in this country. I agree there are states that are better than VA in some respects, but those states are also bad in other ways. Your “solution” isn’t one. Constant retreat only backs one into a corner.
I have stated a freer place to be. You refuse to listen. I am an arse to be fought against, not listened to.
I am your orange enemy for some stupid reason.
The way I read the thread here is: not that you are, “your orange enemy” rather, they are asking you to, put up, or shut up.
That you’ve not responded, means, you’ve chosen the latter.
What’s so ‘Speciall ’bout living in Georgia? The cops, the taxman, the county/city code, they still own you there.
Maybe, a little less than in some other areas in The Land of the Slave, but they still own you.
No American is truly free.
Not one.
The same thing is occurring in Australia. Ordinary citizens are being forced to give up their firearms while Australian jewish organizations have insisted that their private security forces be armed with the very weapons being banned for ordinary (gentile) citizens.
Chutzpah, indeed…
…and did you see the mass shooting by “a person wearing a dress” in Canada? Tranny (man pretending to be a woman) shot and killed a bunch of people, and then himself. So now the few guns rights the Canadians were “allowed” to have will be forcibly taken from them.
Don’t let off the hook the parents who drive their kids down to the end of their driveway, and sit there with the heat on (I assume) until the bus comes, then drive back up and put the car back in the garage after their kid gets on the bus. And the kissing cousin of the school bus stopping literally at every driveway – sometimes for a few homes in a row – rather than have a communal bus stop a block or so away. Kids can’t walk a few blocks in the cold apparently. Or that there is a boogie man behind every tree.
I call them “Helicopter Parents”, BAC. Now granted, in the Winter when it is cold (-20 below or so), I can understand the kids sitting in the car/truck and waiting. But when it is warm out? Very few parents in this particular area will leave their kid alone at the bus stop (at the end of the road). It is for their saaaaafety, I am sure. I swore I read a story a while back, of someone bringing their mom to a job interview. Good grief!
Morning, Shadow!
Yup. Among the idiocies I see commonly are school buses that stop at every driveway, where there is a car idling with a kid inside. As opposed to the kids walking to a common collection point, as we did when we were kids. I guess it’s “unsafe” for kids to stand together at the bus stop at the end of the street, with no parents there to supervise…
Second best: At every elementary and middle school in my area, there are great conga lines of vehicles dropping off – and picking up – the kids every school day. Door-to-door service, apparently.
I get your guy’s point, RE: “As opposed to the kids walking to a common collection point”
Howevah; this bit: “to a common collection point”… I guess that’s lost in most parents minds?
…Like fish, into a trap. ?
https://www.ronpaulcurriculum.com/public/main.cfm
I can remember skool buses runnin tire chains!…(shows how old I am)..Could you imagine that now? Oh the humanity.
Hell, I can top that one, Zane. I recall Mr McDougal drivin’ our bus with a lo-o-o-ong 4-speed manual shift lever sticking out of the floor beside him.
‘Nearly all modern US school buses are equipped with automatic transmissions for reliability, saaaaafety, and ease of operation in stop-and-go traffic. The most common models are Allison 2000, 2500 and MD 3060 series, with 5 or 6 speeds. They utilize a torque converter to provide smooth, efficient power delivery and reduced driver fatigue.’ — AI Overview
Your average bus driver applicant no longer knows how to clutch or shift. And the poor dears would wear out their right arm and left leg with all the stops they have to make. Think of the children!
“Hell, I can top that one, Zane. I recall Mr McDougal drivin’ our bus with a lo-o-o-ong 4-speed manual shift lever sticking out of the floor beside him.”
Don’t forget the hi-lo axle. Very few today would have any idea what to do with that.
I’ve said this before, but this obsession with saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaafety even expanded to the obsessive campaign a few years ago to have EVERYONE, including children (who effectively had a ZERO PERCENT CHANCE of dying from the dreaded ‘Rona), vaxxed with those COVID “vaccines” despite the fact that at the time they were experimental. Remember the slogan “Nobody is safe until everyone is safe!”, which really meant “Nobody is safe until everyone is vaccinated!”?
And I’ve read that the elites who were behind the COVID nonsense of 2020-2022 are just itching to do it all over again.
two weeks to stop the spread.
Zero covid deaths.
Vision Zero – Zero Traffic fatalities
Impossible.
God save us from zeros having visions.
It’s worse.
Before the introduction of the poison mRNA “vaxx” myocardiopathy (cardiac heart issues) were relatively unknown in children. We have seen a massive upsurge in heart problems in “jabbed” children.
Now, there is an upsurge in colon cancer in children. What used to be a disease of the elderly is now being found in “jabbed” children…
It is well-known that many cancers have been on the upswing as well, cancer survivors who got “jabbed” seeing their cancers return with a vengeance.
Actually the colon cancer plague hit over ten years ago. A young friend of mine (~35 years} succumbed to it around 2014.
Why the uptick? No one seems to have “the answer” but, if you look at processed foods you might find a link. My friend was very healthy and had been a potential pro baseball player. He was the picture of health…until the diagnosis.
Yep. Neighbor 70, cancer gone for 20 years came back with the shot. Wife’s friend, 68, no family history comes up with breast cancer in months after the shot. Sister in law now has continuous heart problems after the shot.
Buddy’s healthy father-in-law dead in weeks from pancreatic cancer kicked up a few months after the shot.
Two teenage nephews with cancer a few months after the shot. A brother with cancer a few months after the shot. Brother in law. Two members of our small 50-ish church. Looks like the nephews might beat it. Brother not looking good. The rest dead.
Jesus, Steve –
That’s terrible. I’m sorry to hear this. So far, no one I know has developed cancer. But I only know a few people who got injected with whatever was in those vials….
A friend of mine just died this weekend due to the shot. I knew it was coming…they had heart problems after.
Yeah, lost my dad and his woman within 6 months of each other after taking the double dose.
I have nothing political to say except I miss my father. My father was murdered, but yet he stood in line for the kill shot after I advised not to. What can you do? Nothing.
My father admonished me that if “everyone was jumping off the bridge because it was popular” is that the right thing to do?
Turns out, my father was a lemming. And he is dead today.
Sorry to hear this, J –
I have had many people tell me similar stories; it’s depressing.
DANG! My Dad said nearly the same thing while I was growing up, only, it was a cliff:
“My father admonished me that if “everyone was jumping off the bridge because it was popular” is that the right thing to do?”
…Him and my Mom both got The Shotzs in spite of my pleadings. Did micro razor blades kill her? Idk.
Cancer is Dads topic.
x ten million? Idk.
My little brother and his Big Pharma Baby Momma let his 8 yr. old son get Da Shot, too. He wound up in the ICU. That is soo much worse.
Again, x ten million? Idk.
‘What is Safetyism doing to the minds of today’s kids?’ — eric
In a few who refuse to kneel and cower, it produces an equal and opposite reaction — to pursuits such as extreme sports.
I’m thinking of Alex Honnold’s free climb of the Taipei 101 skyscraper last month. Some ethical objections were raised because he’s married and has two kids. Whether he has life insurance was not reported.
Honnold completed the unprotected climb, on live TeeVee, without falling to his death. But as in many extreme sports, the risk of near-certain death in the event of one mistake is a defining feature.
This, I argue, is an extreme reaction to the extreme repression of Safetyism.
I think, maybe, your example is, 10 in a million?
I hope you are right, I suspect, you are not.

They afraid, to drive.
They afraid,…. to drive!?
…And, go out on dates!
They are afraid,… to live.
They are afraid,… of life.
Seems like this would be the natural reaction to the $80,000 F150 and $40,000 Honda. You’re on year 3 of your 7 year loan. Would you risk driving li’l Timmy and Annalise to school (because they aren’t going to take the bus!), knowing that the roads might be covered in the dread black ice? Imagine, you hit a patch of dread black ice and suddenly you’re into the guardrail, airbags poppin’ and body panels crackin’ and poof! just like that you’ve totaled your car. And brought about the end of your low-cost insurance, with a ding on your record like that. And better hope the cops don’t show up or you might get a ticket for “driving too fast for conditions” too.
Then, since you still owe on the vehicle, the negotiations with the insurance mafia begin. They’ll pay you book value. Better hope your payoff on the loan is less than that or you’ll be driving a used Kia. Or worse, you’ll need to come up with a check if you don’t have gap insurance.
Of course no one thinks that way. They just want to have a “work from home day” for a few weeks so they can catch up on the soaps (do soap operas still exist?). Maybe some representatives of the insurance mafia are in touch with the governor’s office telling them to keep the roads clear, or the school district’s policy rider says no buses if the temps drop below 30º. Something concrete they can justify, not something as fuzzy as your car is too valuable to take out today.
Indeed, RK!
Patagonia is looking better every day. I suppose we all grow steadily alienated from the world as we get older because the world changes. Now, I understand that being averse to change is the very definition of becoming an Old Fart. But – objectively – some changes are for the worse and we are beset by so many of them.
The jews are presently stealing Patagonia by arson. Reducing property values by destruction is a jewish value. Gaza is a prime example…
You’re point is well taken re: safetyism, but in the case of schools being perpetually closed, it’s obvious at this point that in-person learning at public schools is on the way out. Ever since the scamdem, they’ve been looking for an excuse to permanently close them. They’ll still have government-sponsored brainwashing when that day arrives, but it will be from home via the Internet.
Indeed, Jason –
That seems to be what’s already happening in my area; the kids are “remote learning.” Can you imagine? Staring at a screen all day listening to some AI “teacher” drone on?
RE: “Can you imagine? Staring at a screen all day listening to some AI “teacher” drone on?”
NO!
It’s insanity.
It reminds me of the monotone teacher in “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” as he did role call….
Hi Helot,
When I was in high school, I got a week of what they called back then in-school suspension (for something truly ridiculous). Basically, I had to sit all day in a room with a cubicle in it that faced the wall. The only thing missing was a screen! Thank God they didn’t have ’em back then!
I see this first-hand on the road, Eric. Driving on one particular road, it is not uncommon to see the long conga line of vehicles tailgating each other as they follow a slower lead vehicle that either refuses to go faster (which is fine), and refuses to pull over and allow others to pass them. For the road has nice, and snow on it! Oh no! The first vehicle behind slow-poke is too scared to pass said slower leader vehicle, and it ends up being this long train of vehicles. Never mind that in tailgating each other, they could end up with a nice wreck if one has to suddenly slam on their brakes for Bullwinkle. I end up being the bad guy, and pass all of them when I get to a long, straight stretch. Sometimes I will see another vehicle pass, as though they finally got the courage to do the same thing. Other times not. You are right, Eric. Those who are scared of everything will try and force the rest of us (who are not) to comply with their demands to give our freedom (and privacy) up so we all can feel “safe” together (gag). Just as with the masks: No one is “safe” until everyone is muzzled, and in more ways than one.
This, just needs repeated, “Those who are scared of everything will try and force the rest of us (who are not) to comply with their demands to give our freedom (and privacy) up so we all can feel “safe” together (gag).”
…and when they realize too little, too late, that they were wrong, they will blame the rest of us they forcibly tried to walk all over and stomp on. In the name of “safety”….
Eric, you underestimate GovCo employees’ capacity for sloth.
Two weeks off at Christmas. A week or more in the Spring. Looooong Summer vacations. “Work days” where there are no students there. And you expect them to get their lazy asses out in less than perfect weather and go to work?
HA!
Exactly. Don’t underestimate “safety” as an excuse for the government “workers” in the “education” grift to get additional paid days off. “Remote learning” is another aspect of this scam.
And federal employees got the two-month paid vacation aka “shutdown”.
Second that, every Wednesday is a half day for the schools around here, plus as you mentioned all the vacation days, also the summer off. Being a teacher gets you full time pay for part time work, along with gold plated pensions. All paid for by you, courtesy of the property tax.
Gives them lots more boozin’ time! PNW standards that build is “svelte”, you should see the real porkers.

Hi Sparkey,
My dad – a medical doctor – never made that much money. The world turn’d upside down.
Let me get this straight- that hefty gal had a blood alcohol level below the legal limit and they still hit her with DUI? There has to be more to this story.
Sounds like a PBT test on the roadside. In my jurisdiction that is not admissible in Court but can be a basis for arrest, I guess she refused the Breathalyzer test given at the station after arrest. In my jurisdiction that would result in a call to a local judge and issuance of a search warrant (for a blood draw). It can take a while for results to be available, police lab etc. not usually on a fast track. Her license was suspended, (why?).
In my jurisdiction the local armed government workers don’t tell the news critters anything until after formal charges are made (blood results available) they have been burned due to premature disclosure of the kind of info in the news article.
Some of our local judges and cops still play lip service to that quaint idea that “one is presumed innocent until convicted”, by trial or plea.
Certainly a very damaging disclosure of information about the poor unlovely principal.
I don’t know about unlovely, the chubby ones can be a lot of fun, especially when greased up…
It’s hard to believe that the schrools are still closed after two weeks but look on the bright side as there might have be a little less brainwashing going on!
It’s a sad commentary on society today, I remember when you went into work even if you were sick but now people get paid to stay home. People nowadays want someone else to fix their problems instead of grabbing the bull by the horns and showing the world who’s boss.
Steers indeed.
