Well, almost there! I have the ’75 Kawasaki S1 250’s carbs all cleaned out and ready to re-assemble, which I’ll do as soon as the new gaskets arrive. I’l still gotta schlepp into town – with the S1’s tank – to fill it up with gas, as opposed to the ethanol-adulterated “gas” that led to the gunked-up carbs after they sat for about eight months with that corrosive/reactive “gas” in the bowls.
As the self-chosen always say – never again!

Confused
Can’t just put non-ethanol gas into a 5 gallon gas can in VA? Why does the tank from the S1 need to go into town?

I explained why already. The plastic gas jugs we’re obliged to use dribble gas like an old man with a prostate the size of a softball and I do not want to risk spillage on my professionally painted tank!

Some even have quick fill valves that you tip the tank up, no drip, plunge it down into the gas tank opening and it works well. I usually use 2.5 gal versions of these.
An NPT tapped VP lid with real brass and rubber hardware holds 6 gallons on my pristine leather back seat with ZERO dribble or fumes for close to 600 miles thru Cali. Gubmint plastic trash gas cans are among THE most obvious examples of psycho tyranny.
