When you were a kid in school, you may have seen the pratfall set up when one kid quietly gets down on all fours behind another kid – and then another kid pushes that kid backward, so that he falls over the kid who is on all fours behind him.
Trump is setting us up for something like that, for just after the blue douching that’s almost certainly coming in about four weeks from now. He said the other day that if the Republicans gain control of both the House and Senate, he will reward the American people with a $5,000 check – but if the Republicans do not win then there be a depression “like 1929” but “worse.”
Of course. That’s exactly what’s going to happen, irrespective of the outcome since there’s no meaningful difference between a red turd and a blue turd. When the economy implodes – courtesy chiefly of the controlled demolition engineered by this war with Iran – Trump will grip the podium, hunch over to one side and bark-gibberish that the “Dumocrats” are to blame. Cue the fund-raising letters – and the Lee Greenwood song. It will be so important to Vote Even Harder in 2028! You’ll see!
When the GOP regains control, things will be set aright. 
There are people who’ll fall for it (again). You could see them in the (small) crowds of his supporters at the recent rallies in Oklahoma and Alabama. Herf Applewhite still had followers toward the end, too. As did the Austrian painter hunkered in the bunker, even with the Red Army just hundreds of yards away.
What will come before we get to 2028 is almost certainly the “worse than 1929” depression Trump is warning us is coming if the “Dumocrats” win the midterms, which it is not hard to predict they will.
It’s almost as if that were the plan all along. Is it sensible to believe Trump – the master politician/con man – did not foresee that getting this country involved in a war most Americans (especially Americans who supported him in 2016, 2020 and 2024) did not want even before it started would do to MAGA what salt does to a slug? There wasn’t even a serious attempt made to persuade Americans that Iran was an immediate danger (to the United States, that is) and for that reason an attack was existentially necessary – as The Chimp did successfully some 20 years ago. And is it possible that Trump did not learn the lesson imparted by The Chimp’s decision to pursue wars that most Americans didn’t want to fight? 
The GOP got douched because of The Chimp. America got Obama – and things haven’t been the same ever since.
So why did Trump decide to become a Chimp, so to speak?
Well, because it was all part of the plan, probably. Step one was to let the Biden Thing win the 2020 selection via deliberately planned and carefully implemented “COVID” chaos and the subsequent mass-absentee balloting (and vote counting without vote vetting) which Trump complained about but did nothing about. The apologists will tell you he couldn’t have done anything. His hands were tied! This is of course nonsense. Trump has no problem invading other countries and snatching (and assassinating) their leaders but we’re supposed to believe he could do nothing about the obvious set up that was put in place in 2020 to assure the Biden Thing would selected.
Something like ending the “emergency” he declared and could have un-declared, in the summer of 2020 – which would have ended mass absentee balloting and vote-not-vetting. Instead, he goaded his followers to be outraged by the “steal” (which not one putatively guilty person has gone to jail for) and to come to Washington to vent their outrage – and end up in the clink, some of them, for years.
Step two was four years of the Biden Thing.
That is to say, four years of face diapers, drug-pushing and LGBTQ+ pushing, all of it intended to annoy the average normal American. Then – cue the song from The Producers – “we looked around and then we found the man for you and me! And now it’s spriiiiingtime for MAGA …” The fake and gay Butler thing was the final set up that year. They – the “Dumocrats” – tried to kill him! Riding a crescendo of populist outrage and hope, Trump was selected a second time. For a few months, it seemed as if the populist agenda was actually going to be implemented. There was DOGE and the spectacle of USAID being closed down. The “Dumocrats” were routed, demoralized.
Step four was to demoralize and route the Republicans – a process that began when the Epstein Files became the “Epstein Hoax” – much to the deer-in-the-headlights consternation of the many who voted for Trump based on his repeated promises to expose the “truckload” (his attorney general’s word) of evidence that indeed they were very real.
Then came this war – which still hasn’t gone, seven months after we were told it would be after about four weeks. The War Tax that people have been paying at the pump – currently about $25 on average per tankful – plus 30 percent higher grocery bills and data centers and Tech Bros and almost daily emissions of bizarre social media posts – have likely assured a blue douching in about four weeks from now. The day after which, Trump’s plan will be to blame the “Dumocrats” for everything, including the “like 1929” economic collapse that’s coming.
Only worse.
Of course, the “Dumocrats” may in their turn be bowled over by the same pratfall. They will promise much – and deliver nothing, or close to nothing. Especially as regards Our Greatest Ally, which owns the “Dumocrats” as completely as it owns the Golden Golem. And then what?
Well, looks we’re going to see.
