We lived outside of Portland when these commercials ran as a serious promotion for Cover Oregon. IIRC, they ad campaign was $50 million for the production and air time.

Interestingly, not long after Cover Oregon bombed, Laura Gibson moved to New York, where she survived a mysterious (wiggle fingers) gas explosion in her apartment building.
