I very much enjoyed the show, two very bright minds expanding my own mental box, especially the part about the resistance of car owners who don’t want a new car. I’d be a Neo-Luddite to cars that require and electrical engineering degree to work on.
Another thing about the parasite class, those elites would nuke us rather than give up control. Just yesterday, Biden threatened his conservative enemies with F-15s for the second time. And I do think you are correct Eric, that the push for electric cars is to reduce the number of privately owned vehicles overall.
The government, unable to fix anything, would rather reduce demand on the road system than fix the system. Traffic congestion can be reduced by simply making cars unaffordable. Take a look at this chart, domestic auto production:

And you know how California issued an electric car charging request yesterday because of the hot weather? Well where is the electricity going to come if all cars in California are electric? They will not build anymore hydro or nuclear power, so how is it even feasible you are going to make every car run on electricity when there is not enough electricity now and no way to increase capacity?
One way is to vaxx a sizeable portion to death, another is making driving a rich man’s privilege. Another is to ration electricity – give it to the well connected, political supporters, based on social scoring. If you engage in wrong-think, well buddy you don’t get no stinkin’ credits.
