Do you remember when people who did not want to get “vaccinated” – but who were fully supportive of other people’s right to get “vaccinated” – were derisively styled as being “Anti-Vaxx”?
This abuse was both disingenuous and deliberate.
Similarly, people who just want to be able to drive faster than people who drive slow are derisively styled as demanding that the slow drive fast. It is meant to make the people who just want to drive faster than the slow drivers seem like they want something else. Of a piece with the way people who wanted everyone to be free to make their own choice as regards whether to be “vaccinated” were painted as people opposed to “vaccination.”
Just as there is nothing wrong with choosing to get “vaccinated” if that’s what you want to do – because it’s no one else’s business – there is nothing wrong with driving slower than others do. There are many reasons for driving slow – including just because. Just as there are many reasons for driving faster (including just because). It ought not to be anyone else’s business how fast – or slow – another person drives.
Unless they make it someone else’s problem – as by blocking their way. Or by running up on them and riding their ass (i.e., tailgating them). Neither is necessary and neither is justifiable.
If you’re driving slow – something that’s obvious, so there’s no excuse for not knowing you are – make an effort to not impede others who do not want to drive slow. This is also obvious. It only takes being aware of traffic around you – especially traffic coming up behind you. If you are in the habit of scanning your rearview mirror, you will be aware of this developing situation before it becomes a problem. Another car is closing on you from behind, indicating its driver wants to go faster than you are driving. If you are not driving at least the speed limit and do not wish to drive that fast then consider making an effort to let the car closing on you from behind get around you, as by easing off onto the shoulder briefly to indicate to the driver of the closing-on-you car that you are yielding to him.
He will then pass you and he can continue on his way and you on yours and both of you free to drive at your own (respective) pace. It is no different than the courtesy almost everyone is taught to practice when grocery shopping – though this, too, is less practiced today than it was once. Still, most people who are grocery shopping make an effort to get their cart out of the way of other shopper’s carts when they are stopped in an aisle pondering what’s on the shelves. It is still generally considered rude and obnoxious to be oblivious to the fact that your stopped cart is blocking the way of other shoppers who want to get by. Few – even today – will defend the person who just stands there, blocking the aisle.
Yet there are people who defend the slowpoke who does the same on the road.
Neither case is defensible. Because in both cases, it is easily avoidable by the exercise of common courtesy. No one gets mad at a person who isn’t in a hurry at the supermarket, provided they make an effort to move their cart to the side so that you and others can get by. The person not-in-a-hurry will often say something like: Oh, excuse me – and then move their cart so that the other person can get by. That person will often say something like: Thanks! No problem!
And be on their way.
It was once that way on the road, too. A slower driver would ease off to the right to let the faster driver get by, often waving him by. The driver of the faster moving car would wave a thanks in reply.
It’s a shame we’ve lost sight of what used to be regarded as both common courtesy and proper driving technique. Its loss has made driving more aggravating – for everyone. The slowpokes feel besieged and entitled; some of them even get mad at the very idea of being told they ought to yield. Even when they’re driving below the posted speed limit. They have been egged on to behave this way by the Safety Cult, which equates “safety” with slow – the slower the safer.
And fast with “unsafe.”
Fast drivers – understandably frustrated by what they regard as deliberately obnoxious slowpokes – will sometimes behave obnoxiously themselves, tailgating the slowpoke, as if to bully them out of the way.
This compounds the problem. The slowpoke feels harassed. The fast driver feels obstructed. Easily diffused if both only behaved.
The reason why the unlimited speed sections of the German Autobahn are safer (lower fatality rate per miles driven) is because fast and slow drivers have learned – are expected to – behave courteously to other drivers. The slow drivers keep right and keep track of faster-moving traffic coming up behind them. They yield before that traffic is impeded. The fast drivers do not tailgate. In part because they are rarely egged on to do so by slow-moving drivers who won’t yield to faster-moving traffic but also because they have been trained to be courteous to slower-moving drivers.
Who are courteous in turn.
As Rodney King once said: Can’t we all just get along? Sure.
But it takes both parties to make it work.

Most people going slower than you think they should be are *not* doing it to deliberately obstruct or impede you. Almost none of them are. They may be lost, or desperate not to miss their turn, or they may be having some mechanical issue with their vehicle, or they may be having some sort of health issue.
I could tell some stories — in fact, I *have* told some tales here of road rage I was on the wrong end of.
Every time people here misunderstood — often deliberately, it seemed — what I thought was a clear and plain recitation of the facts, and accused me of hogging the road on purpose, and justified some road-raging traffic vigilante tailing me for miles — even all the way to my home — to confront and even threaten me because they didn’t like something I had done or failed to do in traffic earlier.
Usually it was not clear what exactly, though in some cases it seemed to be what they felt was an improper lane change.
Hi David,
I’m trying to understand how it isn’t deliberate when it goes on for miles – and the slow driver makes no effort to yield to the traffic that is obviously stacking up behind him. Just yesterday, for instance, on my way home I rolled up behind three cars stuck behind a car moseying along at 46 or so on a road with a posted speed limit of 55. If this driver looked in his rearview mirror, he had to have noticed he had a line of cars stacking up behind him. So either he was not looking (which is evidence of careless driving) or he was indifferent (evidence of obnoxious driving). No one should be tailgated – much less threatened or assaulted for being a slowpoke. And – as I tried to explain in the article – it is not the slow-poking that’s the issue. The issue is that slowpokes ought to be aware of and considerate towards other drivers who are wanting – and in some case, needing- to get where they’re going in good time. Not on slowpoke time. I am not talking about the guy who slows briefly to find the turnoff/address he’s looking for. I am talking about the person who will not drive at least the speed limit for miles and miles who refuses to defer to traffic that wants to drive at least the speed limit.
Well, I never had a mile of cars stacked up behind me. Though that was always exactly what I got accused of whenever I mentioned any road raging or tailgating that befell me.
For instance, that time in October, 2010, when I was really, seriously lost way out in the boondocks somewhere, out there where the buses don’t run and the owls cohabit with the chickens. I was *very* lost and critically low on gas as I tried to find — in the dark — some familiar landmark in order to get unlost.
I was on a two-lane country road. There was *one* guy — one pickup truck — behind me, tailgating me, and blinding me with his headlights, which I thought must surely be on high beam.
Finally I just pulled over and stopped on the shoulder of the road, hoping he’d just drive on. He didn’t. I rolled down my window and *motioned* for him to go on ahead.
Instead he stopped alongside me and demanded, in no friendly tone, what was wrong with me, what my problem was, and *where* did I learn how to drive.
I just said his high beams had been blinding me and could he please just drive on.
“My high beams weren’t on,” he said.
“Well, they were still blinding me,” I replied.
“Why didn’t you adjust your mirror?” he demanded to know.
“I did. It didn’t help,” I said. “Could you just go on?”
Finally he did, and I saw then that he had a red pickup truck
I told this story (among others) here before in more detail, some years back. And I got showered with comments from commentators all asking why I had a mile-long line of cars backed up behind me, etc..
Except I didn’t. Just one guy in a red pickup truck right on my tailgate, who wouldn’t just go on even when I pulled off on the shoulder and stopped.
In my neck of the woods, the custom of the “slow” driver pulling fully onto the shoulder died because the “fast” driver would not pass in the completely clear lane at the speed at which he closed on the “slow” driver, but at “drift” pass, interstate-style — 1/2. maybe a full MPH faster than the slow guy. As a result, it was often taking 1000 yards or more to complete the pass, by which time something on the shoulder prevented the slow guy from staying there. If I had a nickel for every near miss I’ve seen…
It’s not just tailgating. I say that as one of the very few courteous fast drivers left.
Many speed limits in the boston area have been lowered from 35-40 to 25. Actually trying to do the speed limit will guarantee a tailgater 1” off your bumper and some illegal passing
Today the April 5th protestors are out in force, I drove the gaunlet entering town, the Left is highly energized and is wasting their time and let me tell you why. Is the trade war a charade, and is Trump an orange clown Vaudeville actor brought in to initiate the collapse? Well, Zelensky is literally and actor and so is Trump, and look at the catastrophe that gay demon actor Zelensky has cause Ukraine. Amerika may be next. Trump has signed on to the Gaza genocide, that is super bad karma.
There is a good reason the stock market crash is being engineered on purpose, and Trump is simply the big orange dummy venquilist doing the bidding of those in charge of the system. Over at substack, some are speculating that the stock crash will cause interest rates to crash, which will stop the huge increases in interest on the debt. By lowering rates toward zero IN A DEFLATIONARY CRASH, the nation will lower interest payments – which now exceed a trillion a year, the biggest expenditure.
The USA is now $36.6 trillion in debt. It took from 1789 to 1982 to get to the first trillion, since then each additional trillion is of less time period.
Last year the debt was increasing 1 trillion every 90 days.
This year, the first 5 weeks of 2025, the debt went up 1.2 trillion.
The end has arrived. Obviously this is a huge existential crisis for those that own the system. To save the Federal Reserve system the spendthrift Biden was removed, Trump was installed, and is using Elon Musk to cut fat. Additionally, Trump ended money to Ukraine. Many are saying the current actions of government “reeks of desperation”. Like any bankrupt corporation, massive spending cuts are needed.
Then we have the Deagel forecast for the USA, a 90% drop in defense spending for 2025.
We have the Brandon Biggs prophecy, a collapse and bigger Great Depression immediately after Trump takes office, he says Amerika enters a great dark time. He also says food lines get huge and wages are cut in half.
What will save the system is complete economic collapse – which Trump seems damn determined to pull off. Collapsing the system has the immediate benefit of lowering rates (for a short while). When you are 36.5 trillion in debt, no hope of a balanced budget, interest rates are in a new bull trend, what can a tinpot dictator do? Collapse the system and buy a few more weeks of breathing room.
Understand the US Government is in an existential crisis, it’s slash and burn times. Huge amount of pork and government agencies are being eliminated for the reasons I have stated. Today, all across Amerika, are thousands of April 5th protests against Trump and the cuts in spending. They ain’t seen nothing yet. The USA is bankrupt and now the cost cutting will begin in earnest, when it should of done decades ago. The shit is now hitting the fan, I asked Ai when the national debt exceeded each trillion:
The U.S. national debt exceeded each trillion milestone in the following years:
$1 Trillion: October 22, 1981
$2 Trillion: 1991
$3 Trillion: 2000
$4 Trillion: 2004
$5 Trillion: 2006
$6 Trillion: 2008
$7 Trillion: 2010
$8 Trillion: 2011
$9 Trillion: 2012
$10 Trillion: 2013
$11 Trillion: 2014
$12 Trillion: 2015
$13 Trillion: 2016
$14 Trillion: 2017
$15 Trillion: 2018
$16 Trillion: 2019
$17 Trillion: 2020
$18 Trillion: 2021
$19 Trillion: 2022
$20 Trillion: 2023
$21 Trillion: 2024
$22 Trillion: 2025
$36 trillion in 2025.
and now we are completely f-cked
What this all means is that wealth is going to be destroyed like never seen before. The stock market crash has only begun. Think 1929 on steroids. How low can it go? Well, I know the answer and you are not going to like it. Since we just completed the last 5th of 5th wave up of a grand supercycle, the market WILL correct to the 4th wave of one lesser degree – which is DJIA range from 1929 to 1932. Plus there is a hard fast rule for bubbles. Bubbles always collapse lower than where they started, and our bubble started in 1913 with the Fed.
If we are starting a deflationary collapse expect gold, silver, real estate to join the stock market decline. This could very well be the “big one” all us old hippies been expecting since the 1970s, a long time coming and now it has arrived.
If these fools are protesting now, what are these morons going to do when something really serious arrives? Oh, say when the food runs out? We saw stupid Americans freaking out over not food, mind you, but toilet paper, during COVID. I shudder to think how bad Americans are going to act when they cannot eat whenever they feel like, cannot get their smokes, etc. I dare say we will not have long to find out, and do not think the situation anywhere will be pretty.
Hi Jack,
I am grateful that I live in a smaller town area and – so far – have not had to deal wit6h any obnoxious protestors. The ones that sit in the road deserve to be run over.
Deficits, debt doesn’t matter dontcha know,,, so long as someone else pays it. We have driven the nation to the final frontier. Unpayable debt for wars, wars,, and moar war.

Driving the posted speed limit is way to slow for most people. Most people are at least 5-10 mph over, because that is the cut off grey area where you might get a ticket. If you like getting pulled over by armed caffeinated cops fresh in from murdering murdering brown people overseas, or if you like getting your paperwork and lights checked, drive fast. Since my very existence is a violation of the law, I drive the speed limit and about 5 over unless passing. I like fuel economy anyways, and the slower you drive, the more the mpg, a fact for most cars.
https://www.cleanmpg.com/photos/data/500/MT_constant-speed-chart.jpg
When I was young I drove fast, then I got married, had kids, and had pets run over, kids almost run over, I slowly started changing my mind about cars and what they can do. Cars kill. Cars kill millions of squirrels, beavers, muskrats, owls, birds, rabbits, raccoons, bizillions of deer – the sorry fact is that a paved road is a highway of wildlife death – because humans are out of sync with nature, an auto speed on pavement is too fast for most critters – add to the fact most don’t give a shit if a snake or a turtle gets squished, tens of millions are killed every year. The stats are staggering. Driving slow saves lives. But that only matters if you like wild animals, many people despise them because they live free, while they do not. This built in psychosis of genetically engineered naked man is a real problem.
Now that I am semi-retired I look back in complete disgust at our civilization, which is anything but civilized. Modern society with all it’s high tech stuff leaves a wake of death in it’s path, much of it intentional by wars started with false flags. Trump says he wants to make America great again. America was never great, at the peak, 1950s and 1960s Amerika went to war against rice farmers in SE Asia, and you would of thought that huge slaughter would of stopped us, but no, a gaggle of Neocon henchmen did 911 and started up the Middle East wars. More killing to keep the system of death going.
What is it going to take to get us to stop killing wildlife and other peoples? Voting doesn’t work. What will work is complete economic collapse – which Trump seems damn determined to pull off. Collapsing the system has the immediate benefit of lowering rates (for a short while). When you are 36.5 trillion in debt, no hope of a balanced budget, interest rates are in a new bull trend, what can a tinpot dictator do? Collapse the system and buy a few more weeks of breathing room.
How many deer killed by humans walking or running? Zero.
How many deer killed by humans riding a bicycle? Zero.
How many deer killed by humans horse riding? Zero.
How many deer killed by Amish in a horse drawn wagon? Zero.
How many deer killed by humans on farm tractors? Zero.
How many deer killed by humans driving Model A’s? Not many. (not sure on that stat)
We humans were doing just fine until the mechanized age of transportation arrives, privately owned vehicles – that leads to high speeds, the suburbs, paved roads, endless wars, the currency attached to oil. At some point between 1900-1950 the slaughter began.
How many deer killed by humans driving cars or trucks? 1,500,000 per year.
How many raccoons killed by humans driving cars or trucks? 15,000,000 per year.
How many squirrels killed by humans driving cars or trucks? 41,000,000 per year.
I was kind of with you until
“How many deer killed by humans on farm tractors? Zero.”
You must not be around many farmers because combines are giant meat grinders for deer, rabbits, fox, moles, birds, dogs, cats. It’s especially brutal on fawns. Deer love to graze and bed in fields and the instinct of a fawn is to hunker down and hide so a lot of them don’t even try to get out of the way.
You are absolutely correct and that is one of many reasons that “animal rights “ advocates are completely full of shit. If everyone “went vegan “ the amount of animals slaughtered in order to grow enough crops to feed people would be completely off the charts.
Like Eric says if you want to be vegan for your own personal reasons that fine but if you insist that everyone else do so then you in fact actually HATE animals.
Vegan is an Indian word for poor hunter. This is the fate of all vegans, like this one who starved to death:
https://data.ibtimes.sg/en/full/69112/zhanna-samsonova.jpg
You are absolutely right and thanks for pointing it out. Combines are HUGE, and fawns do hunker down (I see this when I ride my motorcycle in the mountains, and approach a doe with fawn, the fawn will sometimes lay down right in the road). I grew up working on a dairy farm in NE Ohio, and the biggest machine was a 2 row sileage cutter. Yes the fawn will just lay there while the combine scoops it up – horrible!
Went from laughing out loud at the “Vegan is an Indian word for poor hunter” comment to instantly being sobered by the fawns being combine victims, that’s so brutal, deer have gotta be just the shittiest last second decision makers in nature
I think the common courtesy thing is relative to population density. If a road is busy, usually around metro areas, the courtesy thing goes out the window. The closer to that metro area the worse it gets. like people doing 55 in the left lane of a 3 lane with not many cars around or worse, lots of cars and it messes up the whole flow thing very bad. only a motorcycle or a fast-good driver can get around, but at a risk for sure.
Opposite in rural areas.
When I want to be a slowpoke, I drive the back roads.
If you hit a gravel ridge at 60, you’re in big trouble.

Very deep in the heart of Uncertain Texas
I tried hard to leave there but never did good – Guy Clark, Uncertain Texas
I was not and am not supportive of other people getting the Covid vaccine. For one, they were being deceived and putting their health and life at risk. But also there very well may be a risk of vaccine shedding. And I don’t want that filth shedding into me or mine. People mostly, apart from the psycho leftists who were eager to join the cult, did not choose; they were coerced or duped.
There’s a very fine line here.
Administering poison to another is a crime.
Administering poison to oneself is a serious mental health issue.
Doing something unhealthy is a lifestyle choice.
The dose makes the poison.
Do you see what I’m getting at here? The vaccine issue can actually get to be quite complex, more so to the extent that it might be toxic. But clearly not like arsenic-toxic, because there is most definitely not anywhere near a 1:1 correspondence between bastards and corpses. Also, especially if the turbo-cancer epidemic is attributable to the mRNA vaxxes (plausible) we may have yet to see / grasp all of the adverse reactions that are out there.
It seems very reasonable to believe that taking the vaxx is kind of like spinning a roulette wheel. What isn’t clear is where the line should be drawn, if one is to be drawn at all.
I think the correct answer is not to ban it, but to apply standard product liability & (where applicable) malpractice liability. Do that & watch things get safer & more effective, or disappear from the marketplace.
Oh there’s no “very well may be a risk” about it, the sheep shed.. Any of us purebloods interacting with the general public the past few years would’ve been exposed to the shedding, even moreso every time the stupid idiots get the latest boosters..
https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10579981/
Since there’s too many clotshot addicts running around still and people can’t seem to be bothered with covering their coughs or sneezes anymore, I’ve made a habit of using a saline/xylitol/grapefruit seed extract nasal spray whenever I’m back home for the day to help reduce the load of whatever I’ve been exposed to.. haven’t experienced cold or flu symptoms in a long while, and it’s also been good for allergies in general, no more stuffiness.
Have to remember too, first they tried to argue that the clotshotters didn’t shed, and then they said they do shed which is when the really buttmad ones were encouraged to expose the rest of us to their toxic offgassing to ‘spread immunity’. So their pharma addiction is ultimately harmful to everyone, and they knew it would shed and that it wasn’t going to really be a choice.. enough of the sheeple go along with it and everyone’s liberty is compromised
Hi Moose,
I’ve been thinking about this shedding business. I get my dose – if this is a “thing”- at the gym, where I go every other day to lift. Prolly a lot of “vaccinated” people there. One of them is a friend of mine – a nurse – who took the shot to avoid being fired. So far, I have not noticed any ill effects. I’m not saying there aren’t any – only that I have not experienced any.
How about the rest of you guys?
hmmm, In my populated place it was probably 70% +/- vax’d, and you can’t avoid them, most or our friends that we are around all the time. But the un-unofficial chris meter is I know of 20-30 of friends or family who have had severe clot/stroke injury or death, about 50/50. And the large majority are/where very healthy (workout, take care of themselves type). All 40’s to 60’s men.
In our rural place, it was about 20-30% vax’d, and don’t know anyone or any stories of injuries or deaths. maybe 1-2 rumors of such.
So I don’t think the shedding is a thing, but IDK
I have noticed that I tend to get a raging headache for a few days shortly after my closest-proximity coworkers get “boosted.” Also if I’m staying over with family members who have recently been “boosted.”
Proves nothing but has happened often enough I think there’s a distinct correlation.
That said…I can’t prove this either but I think it’s more or less a law if the universe that it matters whether you choose it for yourself vs. whether it just kind of happens (and I remember all of the lies about secondhand smoke).
And I’m separated from my family, anyway, over the vaxx issue.
So I don’t worry about it all that much.
Been around plenty of vaccinated co-workers. Many who will NOT get another jab. One the other day really woke up to the realities of the vaccine industry, which I found really interesting. I have had female non-vaccinated employees explain their menstrual cycles get all out of whack even being around the vaxed, especially early on in the “pandemic”. I just try to take a lot of D-3, and have not been sick at all. Plus plenty of hand washing, too, which goes a long way.
I had the two shot regimen and one booster. I’m retired military and defense contractor who was required to get the shot to keep my job. At the urging of one of my children I got the booster because I had a lobectomy of my left upper lobe in January 2021. All that said, if I ever had covid I didn’t know it. Same for my wife. All of my coworkers received the shot and no one seems to be any worse off. Many of them did get sick from covid though. Some of them several times. I was wondering (and secretly hoping) that the vaccines administered to military personnel were nothing but saline. Most of us are in our 50s, except me, in my 60s.
Yeah some of my buddies from my time with the military industrial complex ended up getting them to keep their jobs. We’d actually talked about that stuff years before, so by that point I knew they were all pretty numb to the number of shots forced on ’em.. they agreed long before all the covid stuff, that the way the flu shots are pushed every year and the way patients are approached about getting them is a lot like a cult, and they said they wouldn’t get ’em themselves if it weren’t for it being required of ’em in the service..
There were probably control groups out there, and I know there were reports of batches that weren’t stored at the right temperature, so could be there were some that were less potent.
If your body can detox effectively and your system’s not overburdened juggling chronic infections and environmental toxins, it shouldn’t be too much for the immune system to wrangle. Unfortunately millions and millions of us are knocked outta the game with stuff like late diagnosed Lyme and Bartonella, living in awful water damaged rental homes with mold slowly killing us, having meds thrown at us by drs and being misdiagnosed for years and years having antidepressants pushed on us.. If their incompetent asses can’t find what’s wrong with you they say it’s in your head and push you the psych direction. No way in hell do the whitecoats get to share anymore of their jagoff pharmacentric opinions with me after what trusting ’em for too long got me.
There’s still some really obnoxious chronically ill folks out there who’ve been making themselves sicker every time they get these boosters and they insist that they actually do it to protect others 😒 Before long their disabled butts are gonna be too severely damaged to be able to appeal their denial letters from Elon’s henchmen gaslighting them that they don’t need SS benefits, telling them that surely they can find something their totally bedbound selves can do to earn a living with that pile of debilitating diagnoses they’ve been drowning under while they wait for their insurance-sponsored doctors to come up with something useful.
The headache being around the recently boosted also makes sense in line with the study that showed that the shedding definitely happens, that sorta exposure can trigger mast cells, as long as those aren’t outta control it shouldn’t be an issue. But for those of us dealing with chronic health problems the MCAS is a mf’er.
Hi EJ,
Thanks for telling us about your experience. This sort of thing is good because it helps us sort things out. Real people, real experiences. We are in the position now of needing to do our own “due diligence.” And I think that’s a good thing.
Eric – “ So far, I have not noticed any ill effects. I’m not saying
there aren’t any – only that I have not experienced any.
Same here – my relatives, offspring, and neighbors all got the
Covid shots. No one, that I’m aware of, has had any ill effects.
Then there’s the Slowpoke who is utterly convinced they are doing the “right thing”, which means that forcing you to also do the “right thing” is totally justified, as in changing lanes to block you from passing. Which has happened to me a number of times. Which is disconcerting when you are accelerating hard to make a safe pass, and suddenly a car is in your lane, for no apparent reason, and only a few feet away.
I have also watched plenty of people apparently just not check their mirrors and change lanes in front of a faster car trying to get past.
So I can’t discount some of these dopes are just oblivious drivers.
To my observation it has become worse since the VID. For some reason people pay no attention to what is happening in traffic around them and they mindlessly just go about their drive.
I notice this all the time. Lots of people fail to keep up with the flow of traffic, only focused on whats in front of them. All these addled brain drivers, with very small [2O to 3O degree] cones of awareness could be attributed to too much orange goo. Or, maybe just that our society is in terminal decline. Many elderly have been sold this idea that they can do everything as well as they always have. These people exist. I know obtuse 😯 plus year olds who absolutely insist their skills are the same as they were 3O plus years ago. Its quite disgusting. At least they now have their boomer champion to lead them to victory.
What cracks me up, John, is the stupid, left lane lugger who refuses to pass, and refuse to move over. So, I pass them on the left, give them the dirty look, or just look and see if they even have a clue as to what situational awareness is. Then see in my rear view mirror everyone behind me doing the same thing. Many times, the slow poke realizes that they are in the wrong lane, and that everyone is cutting them off in the front to get around them. But yes, that is a huge issue in these parts, and there are strong feelings on both sides about it. Not passing anyone? Get out of the left lane, but the entitlement American mentality in this country really shows, especially in situations like this.
Were people courteous to each other in, say, Stalin’s Soviet Union — up till the moment the secret police arrested them, or just shot them dead in a beet field?
On Thursday, Bernie Sanders attracted only 15 votes on measures to stop $8.8 billion of arms sales to Israel, allowing the little apartheid state to carry on its massacre in Gaza.
If someone randomly opens fire in a public place here, on what basis would they be criticized? Going by the example set by our Congress Clowns, mass slaughter is as American as apple pie.
They are not “arms sales”, since Israel couldn’t buy them without US subsidy. Essentially buying arms from ourselves and dropping them off in Israel.
The late Henry M. Jackson

was known as “the senator from Boeing.”
When you own your very own U.S. Senator, no doubt many things become possible.
This shouldn’t be a surprise. The entire political class is owned by Mossad AIPAC complex.
How it is allowed to have foreigners openly buy our politicians, I can’t figure, but they certainly don’t work for us.
With the exception of Thomas Massie who Trump wants to primary. I am witnessing enough buyer’s remorse to sink the Trump train for midterms……none of this will change the trend towards destruction of the USA….WRT slowpokes…..there seem to be two issues on I-81 from my experience…..people who do the left lane crawl and trucks that pull out to pass, dangerously and then lane hog for miles. This behavior seems to have peaked with the Covid hoax because, IMO, a lot of experienced truckers decided compliance was not worth the hassle, given what the Canadian junta did. The visible result is that trucker competence was negatively effected. BTW, I think people in general undervalue the job of OTR truckdriver but this phenomenon seems real to me. One more comment….I was driving in Chattanooga and got severely cut off by an 18 wheeler that was festooned with proud Women Truck Driver propaganda…sure enough it was a woman truck driver and my thought was you aren’t doing the reputation of your gender any favors sister. Reminds me off the female only pilot subsidiary of Delta…..DEI has killed the US workforce.
When the experimental mRNA COVID jabs were first available, I had the view that people who WANTED to take it were FREE to do so. What I was deeply opposed to was the Biden regime’s (and many states, cities, & employers) MANDATING that people take them. Why, the Merriam-Webster dictionary even expanded the term ANTI-VAXXER to include people who didn’t oppose vaccines per se but simply opposed VACCINE MANDATES.
And now, some states even effectively have mandates that over the next few years, the ONLY new automobiles that can be sold in those states will be EVs, and such diktats will likely expand to older vehicles as well. But wait. Most if not all EVs are unaffordable for average people. Governments pushing such diktats basically says to the masses “That’s your problem.” What will people who are now burning or vandalizing Teslas (after LOVING Teslas as recently as last year) say if these same governments pushing such diktats said they could ONLY purchase Tesla EVs?
And now look at the flip side, John. Those of us who resisted the jabs are now being blamed for the health problems of the jabbed. And we are being blamed because we “did not warn them” about it, even after being demonized and told we deserved to lose everything because we said “no”. Funny how they have such short memories when it suits them.
Hi Shadow,
As you may remember, there were those who tried to warn everyone about those COVID “vaccines” but were accused by these same people, along with corporate media and the Biden Thing of “Spreading misinformation”.
By the way, someone once said that when fighting monsters, people need to be careful not to become monsters themselves, but during COVID hysteria, many people effectively DID become monsters when they thought they were doing the right thing by snitching on neighbors and local business owners who didn’t follow nonsensical COVID diktats, and now don’t want to admit THEY behaved like monsters just a few years ago.
I hear you, John. It is good to be reminded to not end up hateful and mean in the process of defending oneself. Many of these jabbed people are my co-workers and friends. There were some that I, in a million years, never expected would take the jab, and then one day they up and told me they did. I pray for them, because I fear that they may be in for a rough road ahead. I already lost one co-worker friend to the jab (1st booster), I do not want to lose any more. Yeah, it was their choice, but they are still my friends. Thankfully, none of them pressured me into getting the needle like them. It just sucks that it was preventable. All I can do is be there for them if (and/or when) their health suddenly goes sideways, and pray that somehow, our area got the saline instead of the real thing. As for whether the pro-jabbed crowd ever admits they were monsters? Probably not, because they believe they are never wrong and the rest of us are never right, even when shown a mirror in their faces to prove otherwise.
Not too long ago I saw a window decal on the back window of a very slow moving subcompact that read “I will brake check a bitch!” It took up about 1/4 of the rear glass. I assumed I’d see a blue hair or Karen. Nope. Some old white man with an appropriately furrowed brow.
[ Some old white man with an appropriately furrowed brow.] RK
Couple years ago I laughed at statements like this,,, cuz I wasn’t considered ….. old. Now that has changed. Overnight old folks are a danger to all of society, soaking up “”my social security””,,, driving 10mph in a 70 on purpose cuz rational thinking when old is no longer possible (lol). I am now an old person and incapable of rational thought. I have been a victim of 7 accidents. 5 women and 2 men and all under 25. 4 of the women were turned around in their seat bitching out their kids. The other was actually passing on a hill over the yellow line We met at the top of the hill. The men, 1 trying to get his lighter that fell in the passenger foot area,,, the other texting. The other actually drove into the rear of my truck while texting.
Now I am required to show my competence every couple years while all accidents were caused by the under 25 group.
Most of the time I spend in the right lane doing about 5 under the speed of the crowd. Doing this allows me to keep the cruise control on most of the trip. I have the wifey write down the make, model and license and believe it or not I usually arrive sooner than those need for speed beating their steering wheel trying to get around someone even while I am in the far right lane.
You know who you are. Once I was pulled over by a women that apparently was PMS. To this day I have no clue what her problem was as she sat on her trunk screaming and yelling but some caution is of extreme importance. Some of these folks are armed to the hilt.
Few years ago the communist enclave of NY began doing “road diets.”
The excuse being “saaaaaaaaafty.”
They took some existing, multi-lane sections of road and reduced/reconfigured the lanes.
So for example, where there were once 2 lanes in each direction, there is now 1 lane each with a shared turning lane and WIDE shoulders.
Sure was nice once to hit this stretch and be able to maneuver around if there was a slowpoke.
Not anymore. ‘Clovers’ and the average FluorideHead vehicle operator can rejoice in their apathy of reaching their destination…eventually, while actual drivers are punished.
No man, you’re wrong, RE: “Just as there is nothing wrong with choosing to get “vaccinated” if that’s what you want to do”
I’ll leave it at that. Do your own homework. Fucked up wicked shit. Anti-human, passing it along to the next generation, badness.
On the lighter side, in the 70’s, when I first heard the phrase, ‘Slowpoke’ out of my cousins mouth as she described a cow, I thought it was a curse word.
I didn’t hear many curse words back in those days. When an adult would do something like strike a hammer to a thumb, I didn’t hear a string of curse words like i do these days.
…I’m done.
Hi Helot,
I hear you.But – as a libertarian – I cannot justify interference with another adult’s right to choose for themselves. And not just as regards whether to be injected with drugs. It is objectively bad to be obese and live on sodas and chips. Should there be a law preventing obese people from guzzling sodas and chips? I say no – because people have the right to decide whether to live that way or live a healthier way. Same as regards the “vaccines.” The answer here, I think, is to leave people free to choose whether to take them – and to bear the consequences. It does me no injury if someone else chooses to injure themselves. It is sad if they do, of course. And we can have sympathy for them. But I submit we cannot interfere without also conceding that they, in turn, have the right to interfere with us.
I used to argue – during the “pandemic”- that people ought to be free to go into stores and so on. Or – put another way – that no one was being forced to enter stores. That seems right and reasonable to me. The same principle applies generally.
One thing learned over my long life. There is ALWAYS someone ‘out there to help you’ no matter if you want it or not.
I hear you and agree in principle but I’ve come around in the last five years to understanding that you have to put a finer point on your appraisal of other adults’ “choices.” You must qualify beforehand. Something like, “I think the doofy vaxx is stupid and evil but I don’t want to see people jailed or otherwise coerced by the State to do/not do something.” Otherwise, the slope gets slippery and your studied libertarian tolerance implies consent which begs the question why not promote and celebrate? Next thing you know, demonic transvestites are reading porn to toddlers.
That’s well-said, Funk –
I suppose it’s of a piece with shooting heroin. Not be prosecuted. But also not to be encouraged by any implication it’s ok.
