Wouldn’t the Occam Razor explanation be that the monies may have come from an unnamed foreign country, but they started in the pockets of American taxpayers? Maybe if we audit the books of USAID and other “foreign assistance” we may have our answers pretty quickly. There was a reason there was such a large outcry when USAID was closed down and it wasn’t due to the amount of food no longer arriving on the shores of Africa.

I suppose the WSJ thing could be Fake News. But it has the ring of truth to my ears. Trump is a known cad. A serial adulterer. A guy who publicly said his teen daughter was “hot” and implied he’d date (i.e., have sex with) her – if he wasn’t her father. So is it unbelievable that he’d send a crass birthday card to Epstein, a guy we already know he said approving things about?
I am beginning to suspect this is all part of the Kabuki. Trump was installed to set up the populist/nationalist movement for demoralization via ridicule and failure. And it’s working.
