The price of crude oil is going up so fast – over $100 per barrel as of Monday – that it is becoming necessary to report its upward progress on a daily basis.

President Trump says, effronterously, that it is all ” a small price to pay” – which is easy for him to say, since he does not have to pay it, because taxpayers pay for his gas.
Nevertheless, the statement is almost unimaginably contemptuous of the costs his war of choice is imposing on Americans, who wanted this war like they wanted to be locked down during “COVID.” It’s worth remembering in this vein that Trump told us back then it was also a small price to pay, though not exactly in those words. Two weeks to “stop the spread” became years – as well as election months rather that election day, all because Trump never un-declared the “emergency” he declared, thereby assuring he’d be replaced by the Biden Thing.
Think about it.
Anyone could have foreseen that mass absentee balloting spread over months was certain to result in weird results – such as 88 million people voting (so we were expected to believe) for “Joe Biden.” Cue four years of LGBTQ+ derangement one might plausibly argue was deliberate, to exasperate the majority of not-deranged Americans and thereby assure the re-election of Trump in a populist backlash.
After a few short months of pandering to the hopes of the populists, Trump began to systematically affront them. But they have by and large gritted their teeth and borne the affronts because – after all – he is preferable to Kamala.
But is he?
Would these populists have remained as mutely quiescent had it been Kamala who declared the Epstein Business a “hoax”? Would they now be quiescent if it had been President Harris who decided to risk blowing up the world for the sake of the frictive little Rothschild colony that hijacked the title “Israel” to get the Christian West to go along with its agenda, which is as much in America’s interests as it was in Americans’ interests to “mask up” and line up to be “vaccinated”?

The best the serfs can hope for is the reinstatement of telework. For those of us who can, that is. Going back to the office was just for turmp ‘n’ musks ego, anyhow.
Speaking of telework, Iām of the opinion that, if we were truly serious about reducing emissions of greenhouse gases, we would have fully embraced telework for all jobs where telework is feasible.
But apparently saving the egos of the likes of Elon Musk, not to mention the value of their commercial real estate holdings, is more important than saving the planet.
Not to mention that making people go back to the office is a sneaky way to get rid of employees without the hassle and bad PR from actually firing them.
Or in the case of more retail oriented jobs, instead of hypermarts that require thousands of customers from 50+ miles away, how about lots of small distribution points, like the old catalog stores? Keep them local, staffed by a half dozen or fewer employees, and keep a limited inventory of big sellers and staples, with next-day delivery for everything else. That way instead of thousands of individual trips in thousands of cars, one long-ish hauler from a distribution point. Then those thousands of trips are short enough to be made in a golf cart or even afternoon dog walk.
But that would mean a revolution in retail property taxes, and that’s not gonna happen. Local governments would rather not make any money off vacant lots than make a little money from a low volume retailer.
