At a national rainbow gathering one year I met a guy from New York State who told me that state offered car insurance at time of registration. So if your car was registered, it was also insured to state minimum levels. You could, of course, buy extra private insurance.

I know one of them. He’s my oldest friend; we’ve known each other for 40 years. He’s totally bought into the “Q” thing. He thinks it’s all part of an elaborate “plan” to save the country, run by guys like General “Flim-Flam” Flynn and Mark “if a fart had a face” Milley. He listens raptly to the Devolution Power Hour and this grifter chick who goes by the name of Tore Says. He thinks Biden was really an actor in a mask and that Hillary was executed for treason at Gitmo. I’m not making this up.

My younger brother is like this. He believes Trump has bent over backwards to achieve peace in Ukraine, Iran and Palestine, and that Israel is our greatest ally. He also freely took the shots and boosters, and routinely cuts off our comms for extended periods whenever I raise mild objections to his narratives.
On the other hand, he’s the salt of the earth – works hard, does honest business successfully, stayed married and raised a passel of pretty nice kids, goes to church every Sunday.
