I “Identify” As Old Enough . . .

Sometimes, I get tired of having to earn money in order to pay taxes.

I’d like for the state to give me back some of the money I have earned that it has taken from me over the past several decades via the taxes that are styled “contributions” I’ve been forced to make to the Social Security grift. It’s a grift, of course, because once the money you are forced to “contribute” is “contributed,” it is spent. It is not saved away in a retirement account with your name on it, accruing interest. If you ever get any back, it will be in the form of a dole financed by the “contributions” of others. It’s an ugly truth (not many people like being on the dole) but it is no less true on account of the ugliness.

Anyhow, I’d like some of the money I have been forced to “contribute” back – even though I know it’s all gone. The problem is I’m not old enough to qualify for the dole. Well, I feel old enough to qualify. So ought that not be sufficient to qualify? I mean, follow the logic of what is styled the “transgender” movement. It claims that gender – a grammatical term rather than a biological one – is biologically fungible; i.e., that a man can literally become a woman in the biological sense if he believe he is a woman and this must be acknowledged as fact by other people and the state, too.

A mentally ill man named Amber DaSilva who styles himself a “her” is very affronted by the state of Kansas insisting that the biological (as opposed to grammatical) sex of people applying for or holding driver’s licenses be indicated on the license. He says ” . . . the state of Kansas functionally revoked driver’s licenses from its trans residents by invalidating any license that didn’t match a resident’s birth gender.”

Italics added.

Well, I say my “birth age” does not match the birthdate indicated on my driver’s license. This is a profound injustice. I feel older than I actually am and my feelings ought to trump the facts . . . right? If not, why not? DaSilva is a male, biologically – just the same as I am my age. He may not be happy about having been not just born but conceived a male – with male chromosomes – just as I am not happy right now about being unable to qualify for the SS dole, so as to have some of the money I was forced to “contribute” given back to me; I have a property tax bill on my desk that I’d like to be able to pay with some of that money. Yet I am unable to collect SS because the “birth date” I was “assigned” at birth is taken as immutable. Why? More finely, why is it that I cannot claim to be older than my “assigned birth date”? Or – for that matter – younger?

Maybe I’d like to date high school girls again, even though it has been decades since I was high school age. That is just an arbitrary “assignment.” I feel 17 sometimes. If the state indulges “Amber” how can it not indulge the feelings of others?

How about I feel I was driving the speed limit, officer? Good luck with that.

“Kris Ritter, a trans woman unlucky enough to live under Kansas law, was pulled over on May 5th for driving with her headlights turned off in the rain according to Transitics. The officer that pulled her over didn’t believe her license was real, owing to its male gender marker, but seemed to leave without issuing any formal citation – that is, until Ritter got a letter stating she’d missed a court appearance for her charge of driving without a valid driver’s license. ”

Italics added.

Kris – like Amber – isn’t a woman, man. He is a transvestite; i.e., a man who affects the manners of and wears the clothes of a woman. This is said not to insult, unless it is now the case that facts are insulting.

These males are no more female than I am old enough to qualify for the SS dole just yet. I must wait until my “assigned birth date” corresponds with the minimum actual age to qualify for the dole. I could dye my hair snow white, wear old man’s clothes and stoop/shuffle like an old man. It will not carry weight at the Social Security office – even if I show them the Depends I put on under my pants. Do males such as DaSilva and Kris actually believe they are females because they affect the manners and wear the clothes associated with femaleness? If they actually, seriously, do believe it then they are on the face of it mentally ill and seriously so. It is a serious delusion to believe you are not what you actually are, in terms of immutable biological facts. A male who believes he is literally female notwithstanding his male chromosomes and male equipment (even if withered by drugs or cosmetically altered by surgery) is a candidate for the rubber room rather than a driver’s license.

This statement will, of course, be construed as “hateful” or fearful (“phobic,” in the silly-talk of what is style the “trans community.”  It is nothing of the kind. It is merely a refusal to be delusional. As a libertarian/anarchist, I don’t have any issue with a man who wants to affect the manners of and dress like a woman, in the sense that it’s none of my business because – as such – he is not causing me any harm. Via con dios.

But he does seek to harm objective reality when he claims it is merely a matter of how one feels about it.

And that is extremely harmful.

Of course, all of this would be less harmful if we got the state out of the business of identifying – or mulcting  – anyone. Then men like Amber could go about their business in peace and men like myself would be free to not “contribute” and so have the money we earned as opposed to begging for money from the state.

  5. Social Security has been a major driver in reducing elderly poverty in the United States, and Medicare plays a complementary role by helping low-income seniors afford essential health care.

these are welfare programs for the elderly even though they were sold as something else

Approximately 2/3 of total federal government spending is dedicated to transfer payments, which could also be called welfare, although there are millionaires that get social security too

    • Richard,

SS also fosters dependency and greatly erodes the ability of responsible people to accumulate capital and thus be independent. It presumes everyone is irresponsible because some are. Then it turns people into dole recipients when they are old and no longer able to work. The truth is that if a person is responsible (works hard, lives prudently, saves rather than spends) and if that person weren’t bled white by federal, state and socialist insecurity taxes and property taxes, he or she would stand a very good chance of no longer having to work by the age of 50 because by then he or she would likely own their home and have accumulated enough wealth to last them for the rest of their lives.

That is, of course, the last thing the state wants. It hates people who do not need it. So it fosters needy people. SS also sets the young at odds with the old and the old at odds with the young. Who benefits? The state.

I have been forced to hand over 15 percent of what I earn to the government for the past almost 30 years now, since I am self-employed. This is a lot of money. If I had that money, I’d have been able to generate more, by (for example) buying investment property. For example, I could have bought acreage adjacent to mine when it was up for sale for a paltry $30,000. Which I would have had, if it hadn’t been taken from me by SS taxes. So I wasn’t able to buy the acreage. Not without taking out a got-damned loan and paying got-damned interest to some got-damned bank.

A large sum has been taken from me by the god-damned government. The same god-damned government that will then perhaps dole some of it out once I reach a certain age. This assumes the government will be able and willing to dole it out. My generation (GenX) is prolly 50-50 likely to see the dole either reduced or the age of eligibility increased in the hope we die before we get much dole. The Millennials and GenZ people are fucked.

      • 60–65% of Americans overall live paycheck to paycheck, with the rate rising from 63% in 2024 to 67% in 2025 … 33% of households cannot cover a $400 emergency from savings, a Federal Reserve benchmark often used to gauge financial vulnerability

33% of households cannot cover a $400 emergency from savings, a Federal Reserve benchmark often used to gauge financial vulnerability

there are a lot of poor people who need help, especially now that most people live past age 65

if the IQ averages 100, and half the population has an IQ under 100,
then most of those people have little hope of saving enough money during their working lifetime for a comfortable retirement without social security and medicare

One can spend only $40,000 per year of retirement from a $1 million portfolio,
This rule is based on the Trinity Study, which found a 4% withdrawal rate historically lasted 30 years in 95% of market scenarios.

Needing $1 million portfolio to get $40,000 a year income = way beyond the hope of most people. if assisted living or a nursing home is required, that money will disappear a lot faster.

“Taxes are what we pay for civilized society.”
You should secede from the US and form your own state, EPland, with no taxes, no government, no speed limits, no stop signs & no red lights. The roads would be like a demolition derby.

        • Richard,

First, they’d need less “help” if the government weren’t stealing a third to half of everything they earn. I have already gone over this, but once more: Imagine if people were able to keep what they earned; if they were able to actually own a home, free and clear – without having to pay the government rent (property taxes) to avoid eviction.

Let me make it personal. I have so far – over the past 20 years – paid about $50,000 in property taxes to avoid being evicted from the home I paid off more than 20 years ago. I do not use “the schools.” I do not want to support “the schools.” I also do not want to pay for cops running radar traps in $40k Explorers. If you want these things, then pay for them. I do not demand you pay for the tools I use to fix cars – or food for my cats.

How much has it cost me in income taxes and SS “contributions” over the past 30 years? Let’s be very conservative and assume I “only” got relieved of $10k annually. That’s $300,000 – plus the $50k in property taxes. At least $350k. Even if I had not invested this and made money (which I would have). I would right now have a nest egg sufficient to provide me with enough money to allow me to live a comfortable, financially secure life for the rest of my life, working part time, earning maybe $15k or so a year, to supplement my nest egg. Instead I have to work more than full-time (I work every day of the week) to make up for what has been stolen from me. I will have to work until I can no longer work. This in spite of having worked all my life.

          Am I angry? God-damn right I am.

Second, someone else’s need is not a claim on others to ameliorate it. Here’s a harsh moral truth: I owe you nothing other than respect for your equal right to be left in peace – and you owe me the same. Nothing more. But nothing less.

If you wish to help others financially, that is your right. But you have no right to force anyone else to “help.” I doubt you yourself would try to force anyone else to “help,” either – because that would require honest thuggery and I doubt you are capable of it. So you vote for it instead.

          And call it “civilization.”

          • A family earning $40,000 in the United States would keep approximately $33,200 after paying all combined federal, state, and local taxes, assuming they do not claim refundable tax credits or government welfare. This translates to an overall effective tax rate of roughly 17% when accounting for the entire scope of the American tax system

Hoping that you, your family and your friends have all have multi $1,000,000 portfolios so you can retire comfortably ar 65
and live far away from the people living in shacks and on the street with no social security or medicare

            • Richard,

A single person can live a comfortable, if modest, life on $40,000 annually. A person who chooses to have kids while earning only $40,000 (this assumes his wife does not work) is someone who has chosen to live very close to the poverty line. It is his right to choose. But his choice has consequences.

And they are not binding on others.

You espouse the Marxist line – and you do it using the usual circular/guilt-trip reasoning. It is the system that impoverishes people and then – having been impoverished – you propose the system impoverish everyone.

The more the state takes, the more state takes – to make up for what it has already taken.

              • I’d add that there is absolutely no reason a car guy need “retire” before he gets planted. I’ve known plenty of car guys that did exactly that — neighbor kids would come over and get advice, diagnostic skills and help with their cars. Plus the kids learned without having to buy more tools than they could afford at the time.

Granted, most of them did it for a 6-pack, or a freshly-butchered chicken, or a bag of potatoes. But still…

                • Amen, Steve –

I can’t imagine retiring. Irrespective of the need to earn money. I suppose it’s because I genuinely like working. That said, I get it as regards people who are stuck working in a shit job for a McCorporation. The smartest thing I ever did was decide to work for myself after I left The Times back in the ’90s.

        • No Mang,

          • Hi Expat,

The problem with genuinely unintelligent people is that they cannot be reached by intelligence. It is an intractable problem. Something like trying to get a rooster to understand geometry. People who are intelligent enough are people who understand that there are more intelligent people who understand things they have trouble understanding. I am intelligent enough to understand that I do understand particle physics, except in a very general way. But I understand there are people more intelligent than I am who do understand it. To put this in terms from Aldous Huxley’s book, Betas and Alphas overlap; there is common ground (even though the Alphas are ultimately more intelligent). But Alphas and Betas are almost different species of man compared with Deltas and Epsilons.

        • $40k a year is a lot of money…if you have no debt. The only thing the wife and I have are electricity and food bills. That and the “property taxes” GovCo demands so we can keep living in the house we paid off years ago.

We paid $70k for the house and property we have 36 years ago. An adjacent lot to our 5+ acres just sold to Open Door for $250k. The lot is 100′ x 150′ and the house is 3Bed 1.5bath. What do you think my property taxes are going to be in a few years?

          GovCo sux.

        • “Taxes are the price we pay for civilized society.”

Not that old Marxist nonsense again…

Actually, the truth is almost exactly the opposite. As Mark Skousen, economist and author, has pointed out:

“Taxation is the price we pay for failing to build a civilized society. The higher the tax level, the greater the failure. A centrally planned totalitarian state is a complete failure of civilization, while a totally voluntary society is its ultimate success.”

          Which side are you on?

      • Thank you, Eric, for not referring to single individuals as ‘they’, rather than ‘he/she’ (or ‘it’ where appropriate)!

It seems that the new, progressive grammar of ‘…a person was at my door. I couldn’t see who they were…’ is everywhere now.

Add to that those same mentally ill individuals whose ‘pronouns’ are ‘they/them’ and as you say, it would drive you to drink.

BTW, once you realize that ‘consistency’ and ‘logic’ are two words missing from that same progressive lexicon, you’ll no longer have to wonder why a male can be a ‘woman’ but you can’t receive SS even if you ‘feel’ old.

Just like you won’t be taken seriously if you say you’re the King of England. Even though, why not, if a man can be a woman?

        • Thanks Back, John!

I don’t see why – assuming the “progressive” premise is accepted – I could not “transition” into a Trans-Am. I feel that I am in fact a ’76 Pontiac! This is the madness that results when a ridiculous premise is accepted. It is why, within the bubble of a cult, there is a certain logic to what the cult’s leader says. If you take it as true that Reverend Moon is in fact Jesus returned, then it is not at all ridiculous to have Jesus pick your spouse for you from among a stack of polaroids.

The FEDGOV…not such much…and many sheeple still think well of it…SMDH…

Anything or anyone big enough to give you something (SS, medicaid, Disability, etc) is also big enough to take it away…and there’s not squat you can do about it…

      YMMV….

    • Richard, try to think for a change rather than just parrot a few memorized talking points. Is wikiedpedia your your primary source?

    • “The elderly pay a higher percentage of their income for health care now than before Medicare was passed.”

  6. With declining native populations in western nations, fewer and fewer workers are paying the annual costs of social security. In Japan the ratio is something like 3 workers for every retiree, and falling. The date when SS goes ‘bankrupt’ is actually the date when there aren’t enough workers to pay for all the elderly.
SS (and the debt-money monetary ponzi) requires a growing economy, which is not achievable with a declining population. That’s a big reason for all the apparently unhinged immigration into the west (those immigrants come from the only countries with excess population). Even Japan is succumbing and starting to accept more, over the objections of its citizens.
Why are all western populations declining? Feminism, divorce courts, ‘equality.’ This includes Russia (54% divorce rate).

  7. ‘They want to own you. They want to crush your human agency and replace it with an AI-powered control system that is their fraudulent version of God.

And if we allow a system like that to be placed in a position of authority over us, a place reserved for God, we will live to regret it, because this system is not designed to respect human sovereignty, human dignity, or free will.

All totalitarian systems, whether communist, fascist, Islamist, Christian nationalist, or technocratic in nature, are based on the presumption that they know better, and they have the right to crush our free will.

The big-picture lesson from the Covid era should have been obvious. It should have screamed loud and clear to every freedom-loving American:

The power elites who run things at the local, state and federal levels want to tag and track our movement, but not just our movement.

They want to track our diet, our healthcare, our purchasing habits, our use of energy, our online comment history, our very thoughts.

They want all of it. And if they get their way, you will own nothing. Literally nothing. Even if you technically own an asset, you will not control it, so do you really own it?

Your bank account will be theirs, programmed to be switched on or off at their pleasure, based on your compliance with the dictates of the surveillance state.

Your car will be theirs, able to monitor your eye movements, your posture and who knows what else in real time, and be remotely disabled at their pleasure,

thanks to Joe Biden’s remote vehicle kill switch law.

Your ability to eat healthy food will be gone, thanks to the granting of legal immunity to Bayer/Monsanto, protecting it from lawsuits based on the harmful effects of bioengineered food laced with chemicals.

Same for your healthcare. Your online speech. Even your thoughts.

They will own it all if they succeed in bringing in the long-planned AI-powered digital control grid that is currently under construction in the form of 6G wireless networks along with thousands of AI data centers, Flock cameras and other devices.

Cities and states, and specifically law enforcement agencies, will have all of your data and the ability to use it however they want, sharing it with whoever they want including the federal government,

and you can bet that kind of power will lead to a totalitarian system.

But, apparently, most folks didn’t get the memo after Covid. Totalitarianism is the goal.

Instead of taking this sweeping big-picture lesson from the Covid era, they filed away much smaller lessons, if they received any lesson at all.

Something along the lines of, don’t trust vaccines, or perhaps on a slightly bigger scale something like don’t trust the government in a time of emergency.

These are good lessons, but they stop short of the big lesson that was out there staring us in the face and begging to be learned.

As a result of so many people missing the loud-and-clear message delivered by the ruling elites during the beta-test for tyranny known as Covid,

we are destined to live through a period of further testing.

As long as we as a society keep failing the tests, we keep moving closer to the New World Order,
which is a technocratic dystopia marked by

    the death of privacy,

    the death of anonymity,

and the death of representative democracy as we know it.

If they succeed, and they’re getting close, every action and function of life will come under regulation by nameless, faceless overlords.

Voting, traveling, moving about locally, logging onto the internet, shopping for various goods and services, and everything you consume, including food and water, will require you to “verify your identity.”

And the only way to verify your identity will be through the digital beast system.

Show us your QR code, or some other imprint tied to your individual biometric data.

This transformation is already well underway.

You can’t board a plane without allowing the authorities to scan your facial features and enter your likeness into their centralized database.

You can’t get a federally approved driver’s license without doing the same.

Soon you won’t be able to have a bank account or even log onto the internet without fulfilling such digital ID requirements.

The globalists have already put the chairs in the order needed to start demanding biometric digital ID for practically every service people need to function in modern society.

You want to vote? Show your digital ID.

You want secure borders? Show us your digital ID so we know if you’re legal or illegal before you get that job you’ve applied for, or that college enrollment you’re applying for.

Or that apartment you want to live in.

You want healthcare? You want Social Security? Confirm your digital ID.

You want to drive? You want to travel? You want to eat?

It’s all coming folks, and it pretty much all hinges on them getting the AI data centers they want up and running. Are you OK with that?’

  9. Oh you’d be ‘thrilled’ paying taxes here in WA! What a warm fuzzy knowing you’re footing the bill for prison inmate trans surgeries:

“ In Washington state, the Department of Corrections is now required to provide gender-affirming surgeries to transgender prisoners as part of a settlement agreement reached in 2023. This agreement mandates timely access to medical care, including evaluations for surgeries, in compliance with established healthcare guidelines for transgender individuals “

    • Yep! I had to convince my daughter years back there is no inheritance of all that money paid into the SS system. “What!” “Nope, surviving spouse gets some continuity of payments, but when they’re both gone that’s it.” Boy was she pissed. What a Ponzi scam.

  10. Speaking of the subtleties of identity, a Dan J Sullivan of Alaska just won a court decision putting him on the primary ballot against incumbent Senator Dan S Sullivan.

Naturally, both the Senator and the state of Alaska are furious at being trolled by a nobody — a ‘little person’ — who dared to think he should be allowed on the ballot under his own name.

“The Constitution does not require States to place a sham candidate on the ballot and then attempt to mitigate the damage through design choices,” attorney Rachel Witty, with the Alaska Department of Law, and outside attorneys Christopher Murray and Michael Francisco wrote in court filings.

‘Attorneys for the challenger Sullivan argued that the Constitution lays out three exclusive qualifications for the Senate, addressing only age, citizenship and residency. They said Division of Elections Director Carol Beecher lacked the legal authority to boot their client off the ballot.

‘The challenger Sullivan has said that sharing a name and party affiliation with the incumbent gave him “an instant megaphone.” But the 69-year-old retired teacher and former U.S. Forest Service employee said he had considered a run for some time and had grown frustrated with the senator.’

    https://apnews.com/article/alaska-senate-dan-sullivan-primary-ballot-01906fdc5d1eadf2e9b69c98baf1ec9a

If Dan J Sullivan didn’t share a name with the incumbent, the state wouldn’t be calling him a ‘sham candidate’ who lacks ‘good faith’ — neither of which has the slightest legal relevance.

Maybe like ‘Dubya’ Bush, the two eponymous Senatorial candidates will be obliged to style themselves as ‘J’ and ‘S’. Go, J, go!

In response to an article about two anti-Israel Democratic Socialists winning primaries in NYC, a commentator claims, ‘Here are Mamdani and Trump together, quite friendly actually, sharing a classic Freemason handshake, with Mamdani also making the classic Freemason Triad Claw sign.’

I don’t know nothin’ about birthin’ no babies ‘the classic Freemason Triad Claw sign.’ But it’s a cool story!

    • Roger Waters is ‘anti-semitic’? More like anti-occupation, anti-genocide. OT: I saw Pink Floyd a few times in the 80’s (no Waters, just Gilmour, Mason, & Wright) –best shows ever.
