How to End the War

In the movie, Inglourius Basterds, SS Colonel Hans Landa presents Aldo the Apache with a way to end the war – World War II – that very night. In exchange for a kind of get-out-of-jail-free card for his crimes, Landa will allow Aldo’s men to detonate their bombs in the theater where all the National Socialist big-wigs (including Der Fuhrer himself) are gathered to watch a film.

A similar in principle opportunity presents itself to Donald Trump. He could end this stupid, evil war he embroiled the United States in tonight (or tomorrow morning). All he’d need to do is make a public statement accepting – officially – that Iranians are in control of the Strait of Hormuz. Why not? The Iranians already control it. There is very little – as a practical matter – that Trump can do to wrest control of the Strait away from them, shy of a major escalation of the war that will probably require tens of thousands of American ground troops and that would very likely result in the Iranians punching back in a way that will not have good results, for Trump. For America. For the world. Or even for Israel, for that matter.

It’s tough to accept a loss. But it’s preferable to continuing to lose, isn’t it?

And what would be so terrible about accepting the loss? The Iranians have an interest in seeing the Strait open. They may charge for the privilege of transiting it but that’s a small cost relative to the cost of this war continuing. Of the Iranians closing the strait again – which they have shown they have the power to do.

The problem is that Trump has extreme difficulty accepting a loss. He has a pathological need to be seen as “winning” even when he is obviously losing. It comes across as delusional as well as insulting.

He is also little more than a spray-tanned Golem of the Israelis. He may, to be fair, actually be one of them (so to speak) in that he genuinely sees Israel as Our Greatest Rally and Zionism as the duck’s guts. In either case the result will probably be the same.

More war. More losing.

  1. Since when has the U.S. federal government been concerned with “winning” a war? The last major war they actually “won” was WWII, and that was a joint effort involving other countries.

No, the major concern for Uncle Scam isn’t winning wars in a military sense, but destroying the remnants of the Middle Class — the major obstacle standing in the way of outright Communism. That’s the main strategic objective of all their wars.

Think about it: who suffers most of the casualties in U.S.-led foreign wars? Civilians, of course. Whose infrastructure gets destroyed overseas? Civilians. And here at home, who suffers the most during the war: the American people do.

Already the annual cost for the average American since the Iran war started is up over $1,000 per year per person. That’s a major win for Uncle Scam. Clearly, the main goal of this war is to keep the six-year-old inflation scam going, war being inherently inflationary.

Inflating away the Middle Class has historically proven to be one of the best ways of getting rid of them. Thus, the war(s) continue.

  2. The best way for Treasonous Trump to end the war is to take Senator Leahy’s advice during the Vietnam war: declare victory and leave. Gives the psychopathic narcissist an out to pretend he didn’t lose.

    • He just tried that. The Iranians aren’t about to let him shed the tar baby he punched. This time its different, can’t just attack and hurt/kill a bunch of them, break all their stuff, and leave. They control too much through the Strait, and the world’s pain will keep mounting until something breaks.

  3. OF early on said the US didn’t need the Strait open because it doesn’t import much from that area while Asia and Europe do. True, but the problem is oil is fungible and, yeah, those folks started coming to the US to make up some of the deficit. US starts exporting and uses the SPR to keep domestic price under some control. From what I’ve seen, SPR “runs out” meaning levels to keep system operational (10-20%?) within a week or two from now. Oil execs have warned this means rising prices under the best circumstances, even higher if current levels of turmoil persist, and hockey stick graph if things go fully sideways. There’s a level of desperation going right now in that, IMO, has nothing to do with Israeli intelligence assessments of potential attempts on OF.

    • That was always easy to solve. Imposing an excise on exports was always an option. Would put the US on par with most other petroleum producers who tax exports. Unlike a tariff, that doesn’t directly screw Americans. The only real downside to it is that it reduces the currency exchanges. People who think GDP means something might whine a little, but f ”em. Do something in America’s interests for a change.

  4. I wish it weren’t so but it’s the JEW$. It’s always the JEW$.
The JEW$ have something massive on Trump, probably videos (which can be doctored and altered) or worse.
Trump could derail the whole “diseased jewish blackmail temple” by merely “coming clean” and admitting to transgressions in his younger days. The act of Trump applying for and receiving an act of contrition would encourage other world leaders to “come out of the woodwork” and admit to their own transgressions. This would be enough to “take the whole diseased jewish blackmail temple” down.
As to Iran, it’s continuing sense of morality is admirable and to be emulated by avoiding civilian casualties as much as possible, but the JEW$ have no morals whatsoever, especially when it comes to us mere “goyim”.
The best thing that could happen would be for a nuke from an unknown and unidentified entity (possibly Pakistan or Turkey) utilized to take out the israeli government and wipe israel off the map.
I am surprised that the world has still not had enough of israel’s jewi$h sh!t. World countries could do something immediately. What the hell are they waiting for?

    • Your analysis is right but assumes a world with some level of honesty and truth that can be discovered.

If it was about coming clean to an objective truth there’d be many more that would take their chances. They know there’s a real majority of people who appreciate ethical decisions and would forgive.

What keeps all these people in line isn’t what they -actually- did but what their handlers can manufacture and make stick.

They’re fighting against a machine capable of producing multimedia and propaganda making a honest neighborhood nun into a 33rd level Freemason human trafficker.

  5. I’m very disappointed with Trump. It’s totally obvious that he fucked up bigly. He was either too arrogant or too stupid to think this through and he let the Israelis lead him around by the nose. He looks like a fool.

It’s so transparently clear to EVERYONE that he is gaslighting the Iranians, but it isn’t working. How many times has he said they’re practically begging him for a “deal”? Everyone knows it’s a lie — yet he keeps lying over and over.

Even worse, if you have been following the news, now the Israelis are claiming they have uncovered evidence the Iranians want to kill Trump. Well, why wouldn’t they? But of course they can’t and everyone knows it. It’s pretty clear that the Israelis are manipulating Trump into escalating the war again with this assassination nonsense.

I fully expect a false flag operation run by Mossad/CIA/ZOG to manipulate Trump and his massive ego into bombing Iran again.

    What a farce.

    • Trump was high on his own supply after Venezuela. The Israelis knew it and played him masterfully. He was too stupid to realize it until it was too late. Same for the idiots he surrounds himself with. He’s the biggest disappointment in modern Presidential history. Every time he speaks, I cringe. Can’t believe I broke my nonvoting streak for this idiot.

And gasoline is up over 30 cents in just five days here.

  6. Iran has committed the ultimate sin, they defied Rome on the Potomac in 1979 and that must never be allowed to stand. And only massive cognitive dissonance can be employed to justify the ongoing attacks on the Persians.

Let’s start with the Declaration of Independence. There in it’s stated that governments derive their “just powers from the consent of the governed”. The DoI is a universal document, this means that Iran’s government under the Shah was invalid. Iranians showed they did not “consent” in 1979.

Since the February unprovoked attack on Iran the warmongering NeoCons have been shouting that “Iran has been at war with us for 47 years”. That is, since the 1979 revolution. OK, fine. That means that Ronald Reagan, HWBush, Ollie North and a plethora of others, are guilty of Treason. Why? Because, if you recall, Iran/Contra/[Israel] was about sending weapons to Iran via Israel. Setting aside for the moment the fact that the CIA was bringing cocaine into the country as part of the plan, sending weapons to a country that is at war with you is just a bit unsavory. IF Iran actually was at war with us since 1979 then their names should be held in contempt more so than Benedict Arnold.

Today’s headlines inform us the U.S. is “locked and loaded” to attack Iran because Iranians were chanting they wanted to kill Trump. This after years of unprovoked “decapitation strikes” by both the U.S. and Israel against Iran. Trump and Bibi brag openly about killing Iranian leaders. Well, sauce for the goose, baby.

The ignorance and hypocrisy of Americans seems to be bottomless well of bile. It’s only a matter of time before the rest of the world says, ENOUGH! May God have mercy on our souls.

    • Second that Mark,
Boobus Americanus forgets that Iran had an actual election in 1953 and elected a guy named Mosadegh (sp?) who had the radical idea that Iran’s oil belonged to Iran, not British Petroleum. Despite the “free and fair elections” that the USSA supposedly promotes the Brits didn’t care for that so MI6/CIA/MOSSAD staged a coup to install the despicable Shah, who oppressed the Iranians until they tossed him out in 1979,
Not that I’m a fan of the Ayatollahs that followed but Mordor-on-the-Potomac constantly meddling in other countries business inevitably leads to blowback and worse outcomes.

      • Who and what was Mohammed Mossadegh? Was he a freely elected leader standing for his people, or was he a cats paw of totalitarian communism in a strategically vital place?

Were Shah Pahlavi and Saddam Hussein evil western puppets, or were they men fighting to keep evils like socialism, communism, and militant Islam from taking power in their strategic geographies?

Just because we don’t like the way the world really works, doesn’t mean we can or should ignore it.

The biggest crisis I see coming is after the defeat and collapse of the Soviet Union, it quietly re formed in Brussels as the EU. And the Russians, (and soviet client states) having shaken off Communism, should be the natural allies of the “free” world.

        • With all due respect, Ernie, what does “strategically” or “strategic” have to do with anything? They have oil. The U.S. uses LOTS of oil. They should be clamoring to sell it to us. But, no. Because we don’t have a government with a free market mentality. We’re being led by a bunch of fascists in Brooks Brothers suits who would make Mussolini blush.

        • “Who and what was Mohammed Mossadegh? Was he a freely elected leader standing for his people, or was he a cats paw of totalitarian communism in a strategically vital place?”

It doesn’t matter to the people of Kansas and Oklahoma which asshole governs Iran. It does, however, matter quite a bit to the Jews of Israel, London and New York.

Frankly, I think Mossadegh was a freely elected leader standing for his people. Want to know why I think that? because from 1941-1946, Great Britain and the USSR jointly invaded, conquered and occupied Iran. (So much for the “anti-communist” bullshit, the West allied with communism during WWII).

If they had wanted to select a communist puppet they could have done it in 1946. Or never have withdrawn.

Britain freaked out because Mossadegh wanted to nationalize the oil industry, most of which had been created by the British prior to the war. This was very ironic, because Britain itself nationalized almost every industry after Attlee was elected in 1945 and implemented Fabian socialism.

      • Agreed, MiB. You needn’t say “I’m no fan of…” because it’s not about being a “fan”.
Rather, it’s about respecting the Rights of others to determine their own future.

And, as you say, the Meddling Empire sh-t needs to be rejected outright.

      • You are correct, Sir. I didn’t mean to imply that I agreed to that. 1953 was when the U.S. engineered a coup (color revolution, if you will.) is the starting point.

        • According to Persians, it is not. True of most ME politics, there is an insane amount of corruption, backstabbing and outright treachery in the Mossedegh story. Lots of it from Mossedegh himself.

Westerners, including Trump, have absolutely no idea about ME culture. It can be understood, sure, but there’s a reason Chess developed there. If you can’t see at least five moves ahead, you already lost.

        • Carter at the behest of David Rockefeller and Kissinger let the Shah into the US. Iranians interpreted it as US getting ready to re-install the murderous thief. His son, Reza Pahlavi, lives in “exile” in DC area working and waiting for his re-installation by the US.

Death to America. Death to Trump. Trump is bombing Iran, murdered their leader and at least 50 members of the Iranian government, continues to threaten their new leader and the rest of the Iranian government, continually insults the Iranians and threatens to obliterate them. US has frozen Iran’s assets (Iran continues to provide Iraq with electricity and oil even though US refuses to let Iraq pay Iran (contrast with US embargoing all oil to Cuba and stealing Venezuela and Iraqi oil revenue), imposed “extreme” sanctions on Iran, and says there will never be peace with them.
Funny how Trump, the Israelis, and the Israeli controlled media can not only chant death to Iran, but actually murder Iranians in sneak attacks, and yet Iranians are the bad guys when they demand justice.

    • “guilty of Treason”

Treachery, maybe, but not treason. Treason has a very narrow definition of either levying war against the US or in lending aid and comfort to the enemy in time of war, and we have not been in a state of war since WWII….
