Trump right now is something like Nixon was in ’74. Which is to say, he is like a fish left out of the ‘fridge too long.
He has got to go – before it is too late and that moment is not far away.
Trump hectored the people to vote as if he were on the ballot and so they did. The midterms were only incidentally about congressional selections. They were fundamentally a roar of disapprobation for the grimacing gorilla, who even after the fact refuses to accept that his decision to start the war, to stop the release of the Epstein Stuff, to promote Tech Bros and data centers and garishly tart up the White House (Obama was not wrong in saying it looks like Saddam Hussein opened a new Cheescake Factory outlet) and to serially mock his own supporters for not being ok with his betrayals have shattered the nationalist-populist coalition that supported him in the 2024 election.
The point here is he’s not going to shut up, let alone show contrition. He is going to continue to do everything that led to the Blue Douching for the next two years, assuring another Blue Douching in two years. The man will not listen to reason because his ego (or the files they’ve got on him) will not allow it. Just yesterday – the Day After – he was was asked when the war will end. He grimaced and said whenever he wants it to – which means never. Then he took reporters on a tour of the new Cheesecake Factory he’s building.
Of course, that would take the Republican Party making it clear to him he’s got to go. As the Republican Party did back in ’74, when a delegation visited Nixon in the White House and told Tricky Dick he had to go.
Nixon, of course, was not all bad. He had some good points. He wasn’t unintelligent, for one thing. He also seems to have had at least a vestigial capacity to put the interests of the country – and his party – ahead of his own. He recognized he’d become a political liability to the GOP on account of the Watergate thing; that the public wasn’t having any more of it is perhaps a better way to put it. The longer he stayed, the worse it was going to get – including for him. One of the things that douched Tricky Dick out of the White House was the real possibility that he himself might end up where minions such as G. Gordon Liddy ended up if the thing went on for another two years; i.e., in prison. The GMan did hard time and Nixon might have, too. So when the GOP party apparatchiks came to visit him, they offered him a deal: Resign rather than be removed and if you do that, we’ll have Gerald Ford – who was Nixon’s vice president – pardon you, so you can slouch back to San Clemente and maybe write books.
Trump. of course, is not capable of writing books.
Nixon chose to resign – because he was a realist and not unintelligent. He had the understanding to realize it was his best option and also the best one for the party and the country.
What about Trump?
Does anyone believe this podium-clutching, grimacing gorilla will accept that he is, indeed, a loser? Never. You’d be on sounder ground believing those $5k checks are in the mail. Not 24 hours after the referendum, he was touting how great the stock market is doing – as if that mattered to the economically shattered masses who do not have million-dollar stock portfolios. Trump is not like Nixon – who did the right thing and stepped aside. Trump is not capable of stepping aside. He is a man like the man who sulked slump-shouldered in the bunker under the ruins of Berlin, refusing to accept realty but determined to take the whole world down with him.
The GOP has one last chance to redeem itself. It has got to repudiate and remove the man who betrayed the people who voted GOP in the 2024 elections; who has already done what may prove to be irreparable damage not just to the GOP brand but to the United States of America.
Hey hey, ho ho – the MIGA Pig has got to go!

Just you wait and see when the Epstein files subpeonas start, and the public learns what this scumbucket Trump did – he’s one of the worst pedos on the planet. All those evangelicals who worshipped Trump were in reality whoreshipping a demon.
Dream on Jack.
The left/right paradigm is a tag team effort. Republicans are the builders; they assist the building of the infrastructure of the police/surveillance state. Democrats double as the demolitions crew for tearing down old infrastructure, à la 2020, and as enforcement. The agenda since 2020 has been obvious: a nationwide surveillance state via AI and other technology while replacing the old economy with a new digital one.
Elections are decided well advance, so don’t delude yourself into thinking your vote counts. The Dems were going to win regardless of who voted, or didn’t vote, for them. They won because, apparently, it’s time for them to complete their appointed task of either a.) initiating more destruction of the “old ways,” or b.) to enforce the final stages of the AI/digital replacement economy. Reciprocally, the Republicans were booted because they have largely completed their appointed task of building, or at least supporting the building of, the digital police state infrastructure.
AI datacenters are clearly for surveillance, but is it not also possible they can double as infrastructure for housing enemies of the State, i.e. detainment centers? Maybe this is one way the ruling class plans on handling dissent when they finally pull the lever and roll out Agenda 2030 (and also Agenda 2028 as it relates to the digital I.D.).
At any rate, rather than lamenting the “election” results, we should be focused on what the return of the Dems to power truly portends: it’s not just the usual higher taxes, unrestrained immigration, etc. that typically attend Democrat rule. Instead, it’s almost certainly about ushering in the — dare I say it? — New World Order.
Hey Eric.
Was it Nixon that gave us the national speed limit?
Jimmy Carter, and the good part was the Sammy Hagar song I can’t drive 55
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RvV3nn_de2k
Yes, Nixon.
Hi Chris,
I think so, yup. Tricky Dick also created the EPA and took us off the last vestiges of the hold standard and “went to China,” too.
Also OSHA.
IMO, EPA & OSHA were Tricky Dick’s two most significant achievements.
Hiring Henry the K as a key advisor, not so much.
The Vulcans, somehow knowing of USA politics in the 1970s from their hot, dusty little world orbiting 40 Eridani A, had a saying that “Only Nixon could ‘go to China’ “. Methinks somehow, if “Tricky Dick” knew what that’d result in, he’d had directed Air Force One to turn around, post-haste.
What difference, at this point, does it make? And is the pudgy dweeb Vance going to make things any better?
Some choice we are given;either vote for the Communists/Socialists or vote for war on behalf of Israel. Of course we can vote for the few Independents or Libertarians. Little good that will do for us. Trump screwed us. Does he believe in the Biblical story of God ceding Palestine to the Israelites or does he just want power and money and he does whatever the money people tell him. I just finished reading “Trump Revealed” an American Journey of Ambition, Ego, Money, and Power is a biography of Donald Trump, written by Michael Kranish and Marc Fisher. From that I gather he doesn’t care about people and cares only about power and money.

The two people who stood up to the orange tyrant deserve to be on the 2028 ticket. The choice between Demoncraps vs Repugllcons is no choice at all, we need a third party ticket with Massie and MTG, Tucker can get the Sec. of State job.
Hi Jack,
As much as I would love the USSA to have a third, fourth, even fifth party, that could be competitive the two party political system isn’t going to allow it.
What we saw Tuesday night was a political reckoning. The Dems have been busy. They continued to work quietly after the likes of ESG/DIE initiatives were deemed failures under the current Republican Administration. Tuesday introduced the largest amount of women, minorities, and other nationalities that this country has ever seen in the seat of government. The quietness of the Dems ground game was exceptional. There chosen candidates intentional.
I, personally, could not imagine such states as Texas, South Carolina, or Kansas falling. The rebuilding of the conservative party was successful under the likes of people like Charlie Kirk. He is now gone and there is no one who is ready to step into his spot.
Republicans, libertarians, and constitutionalists stayed home on Tuesday. I didn’t vote, my husband didn’t vote, and neither did my children. I am sure we are one of millions that went, “Screw it.” Did we make the right decision? I don’t know. Every law that comes out of Washington affects us all. By leaving it to others are we really making a difference? We know things are going to get worst. Today is looks like the beginning of the AI bubble has began crashing. How do we starve off the the coming tide of taxes and utility increases? Medicare for All will be on the agenda, the borders will be reopened, and welfare will hit new highs. These will be paid for in tax increases that will hit all of us.
I feel that pain, RG –
But I think it is necessary pain. The GOP had to be badly spanked. It – Trump in particular – arrogantly assumed people would just hold their noses and vote Republican despite Trump’s betrayals and the party’s complicity because (uh oh!) we can’t have the “Dumocrats” in charge! This has been going on all my life and I and many others have had it. No more. Burn it to the ground if that’s what it takes.
As I wrote in today’s column, the GOP has one last chance to maybe get people to support it again. Trump must be removed. By the Republicans. Two more years of this asshole – sorry for the profanity, but it’s necessary – will assure a Democratic Socialist president in 2029. He has to go. Anything shy of that and we may as well just accept what’s coming.
We all sat it out here at Casa de Steve, too, and have no misgivings. ‘Coursse, I knew with almost complete certainty my neighbors would mostly vote the way I would have, so it was easy.
If sitting it out could plausibly have foisted a Talarico or al sayad on the nation, then, no, I’d have dragged myself to the polls regardless of how little difference I thought it would make.
“Elon Musk is a twice time loser:
2024 election cycle $291 million
2026 midterm cycle $445 million”
He does not care – all of his current ‘wealth’ has been obtained thanks to the taxpayer.
And there’s plenty more yet to come.
“He is a man like the man who sulked slump-shouldered in the bunker under the ruins of Berlin” — I hope our author doesn’t buy the long-repeated ‘story’ that Der Fuhrer committed suicide in his bunker immediately before it was overrun by the Red Army. I’ve seen plenty of convincing evidence that he escaped to South America in the closing moments of WWII.
The contemporary Germans were very intelligent and intuitive, and thus were quite formidable adversaries; they would have prearranged a means for him to escape if the worst were to occur.
Hi Vince,
Yes, I am familiar with the Gray Wolf scenario. Maybe. But I think it unlikely. By April of ’45 Hitler was in poor shape physically according to many credible first person witnesses; we can see his hand shaking uncontrollably in several films taken of him around this time. Hanna Reitsch and Robert von Greim tried to get him to fly out but he refused. If he did escape, I doubt he lived for more than a brief time.
He (Hitler) was toward the end of the war allegedly a full-on amphetamine addict, and was being given daily injections by his doctor.
That would certainly cause the hand tremors, the ravings and the paranoia.
Anyway, if he had successfully escaped to Argentina, as is being claimed, it would not have escaped the knowledge of the Allies’ governments, including that of the US. Who chose not to act.
Which would be nothing new, given things like Operation Paperclip, which allowed more than 1,600 Nazi scientists and engineers to move to America without any prosecution, and then work for the US government.
Even Josef Mengele managed to live out the rest of his life in Argentina, followed by Paraguay and then Brazil. In Argentina, he even used his own name.
No doubt plenty of dirty deals were done by the prominent Nazis with various figures nominally on the ‘other’ side.
Politics, same as always, basically.
>1,600 Nazi scientists and engineers
1,600 German scientists and engineers
FIFY
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Paperclip
The most prominent, of course, was Dr. Wernher von Braun
It is true, of course, that many of these men were members of the NSDAP.
So what?
Their nationality was German, not “Nazi”.
Did they do war work? Of course they did.
Did they work for a brutal dictatorship. Yep.
Was the German rocket program an NSDAP program?
No, it was a German government program.
Did Russian scientists and engineers work for a brutal dictatorship?
They sure did. Josef Stalin is said to have murdered many more people than Adolf Hitler, and Mao Zedong more than Stalin. So, AH was only the “bronze medalist” in the 20th century mass murder sweepstakes. Ask yourself, why does the bronze medalist get so much publicity, eh?
Is the father of modern rocketry:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Konstantin_Tsiolkovsky
ever referred to as a “Commuinist scientist”? Nope.
My understanding is that der Fuehrer’s pronounced hand tremors were a resilt of Parkinson’s disease. Was he taking Pervitin? Quite likely, along with whatever other crazy concoctions the odious (and some say odiferous) Dr. Morell might have dreamed up.
Note that in modern times, the USAF routinely shoots up its pilots with “go fast” drugs for long missions. Their saying is “Fatigue kills, not speed”.
Hi John,
Yup. No one really knows what happened to SS General Hans Kammler, who was in charge of the V programs as plenipotentiary. He probably got a deal because he had valuable things to trade.
Interestingly, war criminal and murdering communists such as Molotov enjoyed their old age in peace, unmolested by war crimes witch hunts. Ribbentrop got the rope.
I’ve subscribed to the possibility that Hitler was actually taken out by Oberst Von Stauffenberg’s bomb at the Wolf’s Lair on 20 July 1944, and the Third Reich was led by an impostor, propped up by Himmler et al. in a desperate move to keep their “state within a state”, until the very end. Mark Felton has assured me that there’s simply no evidence to support this idea, but neither can it be entirely refuted, save that no eyewitness, especially in those last ten days of Der Fuhrer’s life, expressed doubt that they were in the presence of anything other than the genuine article.
If we wanted Hitler that bad, we shoulda sent Sergeant Nick Fury and his Howling Commandos to get him.
>podium-clutching
Per Merriam-Webster,
podium: a dais especially for an orchestral conductor
(same Latin roor as “podiatrist”)
cf:
pedal (noun): a lever pressed by the foot
pedal (adjective): of or relating to the foot
pedal (verb): to use or work a pedal
biped: a two-footed animal
gastropod: any of a large class (Gastropoda) of mollusks (such as snails and slugs) usually with a univalve shell or none and a distinct head bearing sensory organs
lectern: a stand used to support a book or script in a convenient position for a standing reader or speaker
(same Latin root as “lecture”)
If the Trumpster is “clutching the podium” it means he is laid out flat, probably by the SS, (which may have”piled on”), and in fear of his life because some nutcase just took one or more shots at him.
Donnie Demented lives alone on his own planet, after telling voters to vote as if he was on the ballot, guess what? – they did, and kicked him to the curb. Next day he doubled down on insane and declared that if he actually WAS on the ballot the R’s would have swept the election. Time for the men in white coats and a butterfly net to carry him out.

The problem, of course, is that the Mossad still has all of the Trump kompromat. Thus, he’ll stay the course with his Israel first actions no matter the midterm results or the destruction to the American people.
The orange turd goes or he stays……in the end does it really matter? This fucked up mess is NEVER gonna fix its self. Vote harder what a joke. Burn it all down.
The biggest loser after this Cluster F@*! are us. Now that the (D)angerous , insane party will soon takeover, they will be gunning for what’s left of productive people and taking away every damn thing we’ve worked for.
One thing to watch out for, especially after ’28 if they win the Presidency, is that they will come for private pensions and retirement accounts to fund a bailout for public employee pensions.
Calvin Coolidge & Ronald Reagan are turning over in their graves because of these F’d up and lazy crooked ass Republicans we have in office today!
It was so simple. Just do what you promised to do. But this bunch? No way, that means that they would actually have to work at it. PATHETIC!!!
Hi Allen,
Something else to watch out for is these Democrats who won this week who once supported COVID vaxx mandates such as El-Sayyed (Spelling?). Looks like even Richard Pan, who as a California State Senator was probably one of the BIGGEST vaccine pushers out there, will be headed to the House.
Same with Action in Ohio
They can take that clot shot and shove up their asses. This one hill that I will die on!
Even Joe Biden, who not only was demented and corrupt, but awful as president himself, ended his campaign for a 2nd term after his awful performance against Trump in that CNN debate in 2024, which oddly enough took place BEFORE either political party had their conventions.
As for President Trump, one concern I had regarding his 2nd go round as president was the apparent implementation of Technocracy under his 2nd administration, as the uber wealthy psychopathic elite/ Technocrats has been dreaming of CBDCs, vaccine passports, 24/7 surveillance of the masses, carbon footprint trackers, etc. I doubt that Democrats taking over Congress next year will do much if anything to roll back such frightening stuff.
Trump’s decision to start a war with Iran was likely what contributed to the big losses in this week’s midterms. But people who thought that putting Dems back in control of the House and Senate will end the war and stop government corruption are just fooling themselves, as many Democrat politicians are corrupt themselves and were secretly hoping for this war. Not only that, the Democratic Party is just as pro war as the staunchest Neocon in DC, and they also WANT war with Russia under this absolute nonsense narrative that Trump only became president in the first place because he “Colluded with Putin”. There’s someone I know who STILL belieeeeeeeeeeves the “Trump-Russia collusion” narrative. People who STILL watch Rachel Maddow and think she’s reporting NEWS probably also belieeeeeeeeeeve that particular narrative, along with the “Safe and Effective! COVID vaxxes” narrative that Maddow pounded herself once upon a time.
>But people who thought that putting Dems back in control of the House and Senate will end the war and stop government corruption are just fooling themselves
Of course.
Hint: What party does Chuckie Schumer belong to?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chuck_Schumer
People who were sick of the do-nothing Republicans decided to “punish” them by electing Communist Democrats? Well, said voters will never have to bemoan democrats doing nothing, because they are really good at destroying everyone and everything, and then blaming everyone else for the carniage.
Certain prominent members of the Dim O’Crap partei have a vested ethnocentric interest in promoting the illegal U.S. war of agression

against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Likkud. What OTHER “party” did you think “Chuckie” belonged to?
The 4 steps to removing a president
1. The House impeaches the president.
A simple majority (218 votes if all 435 seats are filled) approves articles of impeachment.
This formally charges the president with misconduct.
The president is NOT removed yet.
2. The Senate holds a trial.
The House appoints members to present the case against the president.
The president has an opportunity to defend himself.
The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court presides over the trial.
3. The Senate votes.
Senators vote on whether to convict the president.
Conviction requires two-thirds of senators present.
4. The president is removed.
Upon conviction, the president loses the office.
The vice president becomes president under the Constitution.
The Senate may also separately vote to disqualify the former president from holding future federal office.
How many Senate votes are needed?
Assuming all 100 senators are present:
67 votes
Needed to convict and remove the president
what is the current tally of 54 Dems, 2 independents, thus
67 – 56 = 11 needed to impeach
going to happen mark my word, and the mother fucker Trump will deny his fate and claim it will never happen right up to when it does happen, then he will blame others like he always does
IMO we are headed toward a removal of Trump by March 2027
Dullard JD Vance will be the new Gerald Ford, and since he is another Israeli whore, he too will be rejected and lose his bid in 2028
My money is on Massie and MTG
That’s a best case scenario.
WISHFUL THINKING. The GOP bigwigs don’t give a shit about Trump, they care about “losing face”. As it is, the Dummycrats need their “bogeyman” in the spotlight, not giving current Veep Vance a chance to establish his own “creds”.
Here’s my obituary on the Trump presidency – how Trump sabotaged his own self:

We all have free will, and so does Trump. Trump made choices. Trump made the choice to serve Israel and not the nation. We are all paying for Trump’s choices right now.

Tonight’s outcome isn’t about placing faith in Democrats or socialist principles; it’s about holding Republicans accountable for betraying their promises.
All Republicans had to do was:
1. put Americans First
2. not start another war
3. prosecute sex traffickers
Here’s a cautionary tale about hubris and nemesis from APe News:
‘At the urging of President Donald Trump, Republicans in eight states redrew the boundaries of dozens of congressional districts over the past year while angling for an edge that could help them hold onto a slim House majority in a tough midterm election.
‘Ultimately, it didn’t work.
‘Republicans lost most of the Democratic-held seats they had targeted to flip, lost others they had banked on retaining and got swept out of power by a Democratic surge fueled by voter dissatisfaction with Trump, the economy and the war with Iran.
‘The Republican redistricting plan fell flat in Alabama, Florida and Texas. It got scuttled by courts in Missouri and then firmly defeated by its voters Tuesday. And it got offset in California, where a retaliatory Democratic redistricting flipped all five of the Republican-held seats it targeted.
‘In Texas, Republicans won just one of the five seats they had targeted to flip. But Democrats flipped two Republican-held districts, putting the GOP at a net loss.’

If elected president, I will mandate that R-party retards wear minimum 24-inch red clown shoes to be admitted into the Clowngress building, as my rent-a-crowd heckles them from the gallery. GET A BRAIN, MORANS!
From a Wall Street Journal editorial:
“Tuesday’s vote will give Democrats complete control over Michigan, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Arizona and Nevada.”
What do all those states (with the arguable exception of Minnesota) have in common?
They’re swing states. Those five states plus Virginia and Georgia decide presidential elections.
Legislatures and governors in those states can now affect voting laws — things like the number of drop boxes, early voting periods, and voter identification rules.
The Republic*nts’ losses last night were far more than control of Congress. The errant fools blasted both their own feet off. Run, Donnie, run! 🙂
More on Texas from my bro, an ex-journo who wrote for a ‘newspaper’ in Corpus Christi:
I’m still trying grasp the effects of the Texas miracle. Trump and Paxton managed to do what Texas Democrats haven’t been able to do in 30+ years: elect Democrats statewide. Texas Dems should send them a thank you note.
John Cornyn and Greg Abbott would’ve cruised to re-election, even in a blue wave year, if Trump hadn’t stupidly handed the nomination to Ken Paxton, who pulled down the whole Republican ticket. The Republican Senate leadership told Trump that could happen. His own political advisers told him that could happen. Karl Rove warned him.
But Trump went with his impulse to back the 100% loyalist Paxton, with disastrous results. And he cost Elon Musk 280 million dollars trying to rescue Texas Republicans. Musk forked over about $200 million for Paxton alone. Whereas I sent Talarico two $100 checks. I got more for my $200 than Musk did for his $200 million.‘

No matter which one “wins” the Rethuglicons lose a seat.
It gets worse:
RE: Ken Calvert
a.k.a. Jabba the Hutt
Last time I was in Jabba’s local office @ Corona Civic Center (a few years ago) the Stars and Stripes was nowhere to be seen, but the blue & white “Israeli” flag was prominently displayed.
Mr. Calvert has evidently demonstrated his allegiance to a foreign country, which makes him a *TRAITOR* to his oath of office.
His new district (assuming he wins) does *not* include the Corona Civic Center, which means his present office there will be required to move to a location within the boundaries of his new district.
https://www.house.gov/doing-business-with-the-house/leases/district-office-leases
Perhaps he will find a winsome lass to go parking with on the streets of Corona in the wee hours of the morning* to “discuss child care.” You never know…
* a bit of local history, from many years ago.
CPD let him go.
New district split Corona (Kenny’s home town) in two, so some of us Coronans (myself included) were deprived of the opportunity to vote “no on Jabba”. Day-um!
One of the more telling numbers on post-election day was delivered by West Texas Intermediate crude: the futures dropped 7.5% to 88 dollahs a barrel.
Obviously, the ‘Trump premium’ in crude oil, reflecting ‘Israel Donnie’ Demento’s loose trigger finger, receded. If he were to kick the bucket today, another ten or fifteen dollahs of risk premium would evaporate, reducing our collective immiseration.
President F. Don Flakestein is our misfortune. 🙁

Hi Eric,
I am going to break your heart, but unless it is in a body bag, he ain’t going. That is the reality of it all. Jeffries already stated that impeachment was not going to be part of the process. They will leave him for the next two years, because he is the antagonist. To win in 2028 the Dems need him to continue to make mistake after mistake. They will point it out and whine to the American public that they can’t fulfill their agenda of lowering costs and helping Americans because he is in their way.
Morning, RG –
I know. I agree. Trump is now useful as a foil. Why would Democrats want to get rid of him? He is their best talking point! On the other hand, Republicans have every reason to flush the orange turd. Anyone associated with him now has shit on their faces.
The surviving republicon senators are going to turn on him (reminds me of caesar getting stabbed to death).
Orange Caligula is now up against his own R senators whose party has been destroyed.
The Democrap majority WILL impeach Trump and Republicon Senators will join the vote to impeach, and this will probably be a new record vote.
Trump IS in a similar position as Nixon, but egotistical Trump WILL refuse to resign because that is admitting defeat. This means Trump is going to be forced out by the entire Congress and Senate, and those Senators who

explain the Senate’s roll in impeachment
Chat: The Senate’s role in impeachment is to act as the jury that decides whether an official impeached by the House should be convicted and removed from office.
Think of it this way:
House of Representatives = Prosecutor. Investigates alleged wrongdoing, brings formal charges, and votes on whether to impeach.
Senate = Jury. Holds the trial, considers the evidence, and votes on whether the official is guilty.
Chief Justice of the Supreme Court = Presiding officer when the President is on trial.
Yep. The Democrats what him right where he is. They have no intention of “solving” any problems. They want him for a whipping boy so they can blame him for everything and win in ’28.
As Newson/AOC cruise into the White House Jan 2029.
Yep. Every veto is a campaign ad. And if he plays ball and signs, they blame the failure of their unworkable plan on his ineptitude. Either way they win. They come off as the reasonable ones.
They would have to be truly stupid to push impeachment too hard.
Thats it. I wish I had learned to play the violin.

Futility.
Result: DJT is a failure (“loser” in his parlance).
Case 2: use 1 or more “tactical” nuclear weapons
If Iranian facilites protected by 3oo feet of granite, and nuke destroys 150 feet, failure to achieve stated objective. Think Cheyenne Mountain.
World sees U.S. as a dangerous outlaw nation, no matter the military outcome.
Result: DJT is a failure (“loser” in his parlance), *and* the U.S. becomes a pariah nation.
Dems have the votes to impeach. Will they? Who knows?
But impeachment *requires* a trial before the Senate.
Even if Senate fails to convict, the public spectacle would seriously damage U.S. public image internationally, and seriously polarize public sentiment domestically. No bueno.
Best outcome: DJT gets “paid a visit” and “convinced’ to step down “for the good of the country”. He will be discarded like a used condom by TPTB (whoever “they” are).
J.D. Vance, a caretaker President, wiil do as he is told. Who knows, they might even name an aircraft carrier after him. Ford class, of course.
L’il Donnie gets to ride on his own jet airplane when he departs D.C. for good.
Will he get to keep the 747? Who knows…
More importantly, who cares?
Dire Straights, indeed.

I have no inside information, of course. But studying publicly available information on weapons and tactics, it might be feasible to drop one or 2 conventional bunker busters (Big BLU/MOAB) on top of Pickaxe to soften up the ground, followed by a tac nuke bunker buster or two. This would likely result in minimal atmospheric radiation release and cracking/cooking the site and destabilizing the geology.
Nukes aren’t magic, they’re “just” big bombs with a side of time release poison.
A full blown nuclear world war (god forbid) would set the population back by possibly a third. Think 1970 population numbers.
Technology and knowledge would still exist, logistics would be horribly disrupted for decades.
Were I in Trump’s seat, a nuclear attack on a nuclear enemy would be far more attractive than many thousands of Marines, sailors, and Army troops coming back in body bags.
Will he order it? I have no idea. But his options have just narrowed drastically. If he is what I believe (an old man actually looking to fix the real injuries this country has suffered over the last 120 years) he might. If he is a pretender who wanted transitory glory, he wont.
Keep fuel, water, metal coins, and food on hand, and remember the fuel and food are both perishable now.
Jack Keane from FoxNews, is that you? Suggesting using nukes of any kind against Iran to salve OFs bruised ego over being a loser puts you into sick maniac territory. Just sayin’.
Agreed! Holy shit.
Funky, you’re a damn fool. Reread what I wrote and explain in very short monosyballic words how I want to nuke Iran.
Trump would not have started it without good reason. It would have been far better to reinstall the Shah in 1980 before militant Islam had ICBMs or a nuclear program or cheap effective drone technology, before they had taken root and established deep rooted control over Iran. Before they had helped install Obama and gotten multiple armies of moslems onto US soil. Of course, the USSR was still very much a thing at the time so it wasn’t in the cards.
I know you’re going to vehemently disagree on this. So be it.
I was pointing out that nuclear war is far from unthinkable. And that limited nuclear war is quite possible. By no means do I want to see it. I’m personally downwind from the Grand Forks and Minot Air Force Bases.
Which is why something much smarter than a bombing campaign should have been done. But here we are. I don’t see Trump quitting, the communists are almost surely going to let him keep going and spending limited resources on that war and not on our civil war.
Hopes of the communists not supporting Israel are as laughable as believing they’re going to leave America free and prosperous, or even cut the price of fuel.
I see the best case being tightening a blockade and starving them out. Yes, that’s horrible. There really are no good options anymore.
I want the militant moslems out of power. I want them to surrender, or better I would like to see Persian patriots kick them to the curb. Because while the nazis were never a threat to the US, Islam most assuredly is. They’re outbreeding western populations and swarming over Europe and the US.
But it doesn’t matter because the shortsighted have allowed the communists back into power and we’re pretty much screwed no matter what.
So go ahead and call me names if it makes you feel better. Foam at the mouth and hate on Trump. It’s easier than thinking and fighting for something.
Come on. You called a nuclear strike an” attractive” option compared to the others. You’re also the one foaming at the mouth here. You’ve sort of taken on OF’s desperation with your revisionist history and lashing out at and conflating commies and Muslims. It’s all so synthetic and out of context, reeking of the kind of agitprop one sees on FoxNews.
I don’t think a nuke of any kind is in the cards, but keep in mind I thought the buildup was a bluff. I don’t believe Trump wants Barron to have a world where his dad nuked Iran, but rather a world more like the one he grew up in.
I think the smart play is to stop bossing around Israel. Why do you think they are the one countrybin the area Iran has not attacked? Iran is scared spitless of an Israel not restrained by America. America is easy to defeat. Looks like all it takes is gasoline going up a buck to defeat most Americans. And our morons have imported enough musloids that today’s France is in our near future.
But the people of Israel have internalized the fact they cannot negotiate their way past musloid hatred. They know their lot is victory or death. And, unlike Americans, they are prepared to give it their best shot.
I don’t see Trump backing down. The man knows we’re in an existential crisis, and the more I read the more I realize we just went through another blatantly rigged election.
Hennepin county Minnesota had far more votes cast than total residents for one. In my rural/farming MN county the votes we canvassed tonight were 75% red vs 25% communist. Looking around repeats the pattern. I smell big stinking commie rats.
But I know we’re all in for spicy times. This won’t end well.
Morning, Steve –
“I think the smart play is to stop bossing around Israel. ”
I just almost pissed my pants. That’s a good one!
Gas “going up a buck”!
It now takes about $20-$25 more to fill up a small crossover. So about $100/month or about $1,200 per year. Plus the cost off everything else. If you’re upper middle class/rich or retired and living on pension/SS maybe you can absorb this. The rest of us can’t – and we don’t give a shit about Israel anymore, either.
This is why Trump lost the midterms.
That, and all the ridiculous DOGE and tariff business—Neither of which addressed the real issues that sent manufacturing overseas, and neither of which will mean we’ll get huge auto plants in Detroit or steel mills in Pittsburgh again.
Now if the Orange Man took an ax to the compliance bureaucracy and the regulatory system that made manufacturing here not worth it, then maybe things would change…or maybe not. Nor would anything the Orange Man does change the fact that it simply takes fewer workers to build a car or smelt a ton of steel than it once did due to new technology.
What’s more, the Orange Man absolutely sucks at communicating with the American public, and he absolutely sucks at team building and teamwork. He could not explain the reasons for the tariffs, DOGE, or the Iran war to save his own life. He’s surrounded himself with people like Hegseth and RFK Junior. I mean, he had a Republican Congress and conservative judges—and what did he do with that?
Morning, Bryce!
Yup. I was listening to the new TX governor this morning. She’s articulate; she can order sentences together in a way that makes sense. Trump has difficulty doing this. He is almost literally a grimacing, grunting gorilla – and people are tired of it.
That’s PRECISELY why the GOP took a shellacking. Someone like myself can afford a extra buck or so a gallon with my means to fuel a Ford (con)Fusion or a Toyota Corolla…the truck doesn’t get driven too much to matter. My kids, OTOH, drive more, have larger, more fuel-thirsty vehicles necessary to move their respective broods, and don’t otherwise lead such “boring” lives as this aging Boomer does. It’s THEY and their contemporaries that got fed up with the high gas and food prices and lame excuses, and voted accordingly.
