I used to pull “bat turns” as it were using the ebrake which got me into a rear skid so I could do a 180. Pulled up to my cousins house one day when the ice was thick. I had a couple buddies with me but he asked if I planned to do something “crazy” since he thought he knew how I drove.
Hell man, it’s solid ice, who’d do something crazy? So he gets in. I drove(new Goodyear Eagles) down the highway that was wide and straight and no cars in sight for miles. Something came over me or maybe it’s the little guy with the bifurcated tail on my shoulder. I spun the steering wheel and hit the ebrake slighting and we went spinning down the road. Not just a single 180 but several and everyone as laughing and having a good time, even my cousin. I had been doing that in my old pickup since I was 12 so I had it down pretty good. I’d just steer into it at the right time and we’d be going straight again. Since it didn’t hurt the car or tires I did that a few times.
It was in me and it had to come out.
