The Nissan Murano – like most of the crossovers in its class – used to come standard with a V6. Now it comes with a compliance engine:

This sucks! I guess I was right; we’re headed toward a Cuba-like automotive landscape.
Who the hell would even buy a Nissan at this point? Much less a Morono? -Or any new “vehicle” with a touchscreen and 32 airbags?
Thanks for the drive through the hills and dales of Virginia.

One of these days, I will have a better camera…
This “climate change” bullcrap is out of hand! It’s bad enough that these so-called traitors in charge are pushing this. It’s worse that so many gullible people are buying it. It’s obvious that natural earth science is not being taught anymore and hasn’t been for years. It’s also too bad this can’t be challenged in the Supreme Court with another case so it can be overturned that CO2 in not pollution but a natural element. But the again, Roberts and Barrett will screw us over again as they have before.
Wait. RE: “It’s obvious that natural earth science is not being taught anymore and hasn’t been for years.”
I know several Silent Generation University people who have bought it all: lock, stock & barrel. For sure, they were taught it, but somewhere, somehow, along the way, something happened to undo it all.
And, they didn’t seem to be gullible adjective : easily duped or cheated.
…Maybe, it was The Golden Handcuffs that done ’em in? Idk.
Something?
Morning, Helot!
I think it has a lot to do with the general herd instinct. Most people want to be seen as agreeable rather than heretical. We saw this during the “pandemic” with the near-universal “mask” wearing. I think the “climate change” stuff is essentially the same. People want to be seen as on the “good” side of things, so when the narrative is that “masking” is good – with the implication that you are bad if you do not “mask” – most do. And so it goes.
Hmm, could it be, they have an inner need, “to be seen as agreeable rather than heretical” so badly that they do things, say things, think things in ways to match that need, without even realizing it?
That would seem to explain why no amount of facts, reasoning, or logic gets through to them on certain subjects.
I.e. They could never say this out loud: “We must save the polar bears. No amount of reasoning or facts on your part is going to convince me the ice caps aren’t melting because of ‘climate change’ because this is what all my friends think. They won’t be my friends & I won’t be able to go to their social club if I disagree with them. I consider Oprah Winfrey to be my TeeVee friend & if she says we must save the polar bears, then we must, ’cause I want to be her friend”.
Like that?

Nissan could be looking to discontinue the Murano. I never saw Brie advertising the model, and I see very few around Central Texas compared to the Rogue.
The Murano does have die hard fans. I know a woman who is on her third in 15 years, the previous two having gone to the junkyard after the transmissions died early.

I’m the cop in a little bitty town
And I don’t get much pay.

And four of my friends today.
I let the home town boys go home

Had to go to jail.

Ma deuces on kei trucks? You sir lack a sense of subtlety. I admire that. Pretty sure it would tip right over in broadside shooting.
For a more authentic Asian flavor it should probably mount a minigun, or better yet a Katyusha battery…
