It is interesting that they are always making new movies about the Nuremberg trails – at which the military and civilian leadership of the defeated German Reich were tried – but there has yet to be a movie (certainly not recently) about the Soviet Show Trials, presided over by the same judge (Andrei Vyshinsky) who was one of the judges at Nuremberg. He sentenced men to death – at Stalin’s trails – whose “crime” was being a bur in Stalin’s saddle.
Stalin was himself by any objective metric – such as bodies piled up – a far worse criminal than any of the National Socialist leaders who were convicted at Nuremberg. He starved and deported – not necessarily in that order – millions of Russians. He ordered/approved the murder of more millions than the Fuhrer of the German Reich was even accused of having murdered, taking those accusations as numerically accurate. Stalin’s minions executed more than 20,000 actually counted Polish soldiers, officers and members of the Polish “intelligentsia” – the Katyn Forest massacre – yet probably not one out of 100 American children who passed through the government education gulag in America has ever heard of this.
Likewise, they will generally look baffled when you tell them that it wasn’t just Germany that attacked Poland – the much-told reason schoolchildren are told started World War II; i.e., that the Germans were the bad guys. Well, the fact is that so were the Russians – more finely, the Communists who ran Russia at the time – if the criteria for that is attacking Poland, which Stalin and his armies did shortly after the Germans and by agreement with the Germans.
Joachim Von Ribbentrop – the foreign minister of National Socialist Germany – who was later convicted at Nuremberg and hanged – clinked glasses in Moscow with Stalin and Vachyslav Molotov, the foreign minister of the Soviet Union. Molotov’s signature is on the secret agreement between National Socialist Germany and Soviet Russia to carve up Poland between them, like a Thanksgiving turkey. Yet Molotov lived to ripe, un-indicted old age and died peacefully in his bed.
American school children know nothing of this.
How about Lavrenti Beria? How many American school children can say who he was? Probably not one out of 100. There are no movies depicting the man who Stalin jocularly referred to as “our Himmler” during the Yalta conference with American leaders where the postwar future of shattered Germany was being discussed. Most every American adult knows who Heinrich Himmler – the Reichsfuhrer SS – was because it is almost impossible to grow up in America and not have heard who he was. Yet Himmler was a far less evil person than Beria, who delighted in the torture and murder of his many victims. Himmler had some humanity in him. Beria – like Stalin himself – was a kind of human arachnid-predator thing in the form of a man, with dead eyes and a dead soul.
This brings us back to Nuremberg and the newest movie about it – again. There have been at least two major motion picture made in the last 25 years about it, the most recent one before the new one starring Alec Baldwin as the American prosecutor and the excellent actor Brian Cox (of Braveheat fame) as the Reichsmarschall. The latter was, of course, the chief of the German air force and – prior to that – a highly decorated combat pilot in the first world war.
Herman Goring was found guilty of – among other things – signing the Nuremberg race laws and, later, of supposedly authorizing the “final solution,” though almost no Americans have the slightest clue that term was in currency long before the National Socialists came to power and was used by early Zionists when discussing what they themselves referred to as the “Jewish Question.” Not many Americans are aware, either, that Adolf Eichmann – of the famed Jerusalem trials – worked closely with Zionists to export Jews to what was then still Palestine.
These are heresies to speak of, of course.
But that is why it is so important to speak of them. And to ask the question that is begged by this article: Why aren’t there any major motion picture about Vyshinsky or Molotov or Beria – and so few about Stalin? (One great exception to this being the film starring Robert Duvall as the Red Tsar – as Stalin referred to himself, by the way).
Instead – once again – the Reichsmarschall will be depicted as the apotheosis of evil for purposes of prompting (once again) the becoming pro-forma expressions of sympathy for the victims of National Socialism. Which would be less suspect if the victims, far more numerous, of Communism were accorded similar publicity.
Why aren’t they?
That is a question Americans of all ages ought to be thinking about answering.

They think Communism is just another form of government – which it is, of course. One that fully embodies what government is (and does) when all restraint is removed. These useful idiots believe – like the mental children they are – that Communism will mean a gentler society in which “needs” are met. This is also true, but not in the sense they imagine. A few years ago, I set out to read Solzhenitsyn’s Gulag Archipelago. But a good way into the book, I grew tired of reading. This man, that man, this thousand, that thousand, this ten thousand, that ten thousand… were imprisoned, tortured, starved, murdered, work to death, etc. My weariness made me feel a little guilty.
But my wife, on the other hand, did not jade so easily. She read it cover to cover – every page. I think she felt she owed that to the millions of victims of those devil commie bastards.

I’ve read Gulag several times over the years; it can be heavy reading but Solzhenitsyn is a compelling writer and the story he tells even more so. One of the most poignant parts odf the book is his description of his arrest – during WWII, when he was an artillery officer, for writing a letter home that dared to express contrarian opinions. His commanding officer treated him with respect, as a fellow officer, in the presence of the political officer sent to taker Solzhenitsyn away as a prisoner. It spoke to the courage of both men. I hope I can be as brave if my time ever comes.

The Nuremberg race laws were actually less stringent than American race laws. Under the Nuremberg laws, Mischlings who were 1/2 Jewish or less could still be citizens of the Reich. Only 3/4 Jews and full Jews were prohibited.
By contrast, American segregation laws relied on the “one drop” rule, in which any mulatto with so much as “one drop” of black blood was considered black.
In the Dred Scott ruling, the Supreme Court ruled by a 7-2 margin that Negroes (and presumably mulattoes) “are not included, and were not intended to be included, under the word ‘citizens’ in the Constitution, and can therefore claim none of the rights and privileges which that instrument provides for and secures to citizens of the United States” and that “they… had been regarded as beings of an inferior order and altogether unfit to associate with the white race… and so far inferior that they had no rights which the white man was bound to respect; and that the Negro might justly and lawfully be reduced to slavery for his benefit.”
Bill Whittle at the Daily Wire has an excellent series called “An Empire of Terror”. In general, all roads lead back to Lenin. Lenin was the architect; Stalin just followed the plan…really well. Lenin knew they had to achieve their goals through slave labor. They built the Gulag Archipelago of slave camps across their county to extract a few months of labor before the human died of starvation or cold. Simply get another human to replace and what a convenient way to kill any opposition to the party. Solzhenitsyn believes up to 60MM died in camps from 1918 to 1958.

Most “documentaries” expose the biases of their authors. Ken Burns is no exception.
Ken Burns “schlockumentaries” rank along with Michael Moore’s “schlockumentaries” in their one-sided biased presentations.
Ken Burn’s “documentary” on the Vietnam war continually praised the North Vietnamese communists while denigrating the efforts of the South Vietnamese and American troops, purposely failing to note that the Vietnam war was a result of an invasion by the north, not a “civil-war”. Many North Vietnamese “voted with their feet” after partition in 1954 as they did not want to live under a communist government. Burns conveniently left that out of his documentary. He parroted the falsehood that the communist takeover was peaceful and that “re-education” camps for former South Vietnamese officials would last 6 months. He was wrong, as former South Vietnamese officials were imprisoned in “re-education” camps for as long as twenty years.
Michael Moore did the same thing with his documentary on General Motors with “Roger and Me”. In fact, GMs Roger Smith offered Moore an interview but was rebuffed because any interview would have destroyed the whole false premise of the film.
Moore did the same thing with his “schlockumentary” on health care, praising Cuba for having “universal health care”. What he failed to state was that “excellent health care” was only available to communist party officials and the “connected”, not the ordinary Cuban citizen. Ordinary Cuban citizens have to bring their own bed linens, pay for drugs, cannot get advanced treatments and receive a much lower level of health care than communist party officials or those who are “connected”.
All documentaries must be treated with a grain of salt.

The invasion of Poland by the Soviet Union in 1939 was the SECOND such invasion in 20 years. The first was in 1920, when the Red Army, headed by the Bolshevik Jew Leon Trotsky, conquered Ukraine and then marched into Poland. The Reds damn near won and would have walked right into a Germany recently disarmed at Versailles had Pilsudski not scored an eleventh hour victory.
This one one of the main reasons why the National Socialists were anti-Jewish — because they associated communist invasion with Jews like Trotsky.
The British and French issued a war guarantee to Poland in March 1939 to defend it against invasion, and they declared war on Germany in September. But they did not declare war on the USSR for invading Poland a second time; to the contrary they ALLIED with the Soviets.
The Nuremberg trials were a gigantic farce… our Soviet allies, who sat in judgment of German war crimes, were not charged with the war crime of gang-raping two million of German women and killing 200,000 in 1945:

Will we have Nuremberg style trails for the various bureaucrats and politicians who’ve committed crimes during COVID? That remains to be seen.
