The Fourth and What It Isn’t

At an interstate highway rest area my wife and I stopped at yesterday, the parking spot up front closest to the entrance was reserved for the state Highway Patrol, and another half dozen spots up front were reserved for VETERANS. The signs didn’t say whether that included veterans of the IDF.

It felt like a great blessing being born in America. As opposed to some drab and dirty fly laden shit/hole in some turd world vomitorium. Through my young eyes America looked ascendent. All her roads, and her best days seems to stretch out before her. The reality of the thing was, her best days were probably already well behind her.

The fourth of July means freedom and liberty. Calling it Fourth of July though is problematic. Somehow the most important holiday of the country has been turned into a simple number within a month. A respectful shout out to Confucius, and the calling of things by their proper name, the holiday should absolutely go back to Independence Day.

The day, whatever it is called is supposed to be synonymous with freedom and liberty. Two things the founders got right, and were pretty adamant about. The freedom and liberty parts are given little consideration among the noise of the current thing. Over the years the day has been turned into less and less of a celebration than the year previous. Less of all the good things that remind us of the uniqueness of our history. The sentiment behind our great holiday is ebbing away.

The day has become a superficial celebration of consumerism. And even that has faded as the years roll by. Less hotdogs, less beer, less scantily clad women waving flags and shooting guns. I no longer see the happiness I grew up with. BBQ, family, friends, time spent outside doing cool stuff. That world seems to have disappeared.

Low life communist pieces of shit have captured our former Republic all without firing a shot. Still, we have much too be thankful for. We can rejoice foremost in the knowledge that we are NOT Ole Blighty. We can celebrate that our freedom is underwritten by a document which contains some of the wisest sentiments ever expressed by the collective mind of men, then transcribed from pen to parchment. There is no ambiguity in this for those of us who hold no ill will toward this country.

The freedom to speak freely, no matter how mean spirited, reprehensible, vile, or deplorable the words may be, is the root of what fourth of July means to me. It is, after all the first amendment in the Bill of Rights. Being favored as first, one must imagine the men who wrote the document found this to be fundamentally important.

Free speech no longer exists as intended by our countries founders. It is gone. In the fifty years since I first began to understand these traditions, we can now no longer speak freely. We are now regulated by low quality, petty gatekeepers under the guise of disinformation, tolerance, inclusion, and safe online spaces. Whatever TF those are.

Through the mists of time, the genus of the men who wrote the document shows, even today. By searing the first two amendments of the Bill of Rights into the collective consciousness of the nation, they assured we would always retain some level of freedom. Imprinting this on the common man from the start, guaranteed liberty would reverberate for generations.

It was a once in a millennium act. A unicorn of sorts, by serious, sane, and rational men, celebrating the idea of liberty. It is a tie that binds. A part of our common cultural heritage we all share. Ours is a country founded on a bloody and violent revolution. Could it be time for another one? I say it is entirely possible. We who remember are akin to the pilot light, waiting to be re-ignited once more in the minds of our countrymen. Viva America, long live Independence Day.

The Fourth of July is a farce. We celebrate our revolutionary heritage when the colonists shot the King’s troops dead for trying to take their guns away. Now we have whores like Spanberger taking them away and we accept it.

99% of Americans today would be Loyalists. The 1% (or less) who would be actually willing to do what the militias did at Lexington and Concord are “domestic terrorists.” Fusion centers and data centers and ALPERs and Flock have them triangulated 24-7. Every now and then the three-letter agencies fabricate some sort of entrapment scheme against a couple of them for propaganda purposes.

The Leviathan federal government, the FIRE economy, the imperial presidency, militarized SWAT teams in MRAPs, and the ZOG military drone-striking hapless chumps in the desert makes George III and his Redcoats look positively benevolent by comparison.

“Free country,” my ass. Americans were free from 1781-1860. They have been slaves ever since. They are kept quiescent, like the prison inmates they are, with junk food, sportsball and porn, while the Panopticon tracks their every move.

The American Revolution was a one-off (almost miraculous) historical event, it will never be repeated. Not in this country, anyway.

I found a second vote.gov — and it’s registered to the White House…But in the certificate logs, underneath the studio’s unannounced sites, was a working preview of vote.gov, built inside the studio’s staging environment, behind the same Cloudflare login, isolated deliberately. The certificate appeared on April 10, 2026. Weeks before that certificate appeared, this administration signed an executive order requiring DHS, the Social Security Administration, and the SAVE program to construct a federal citizenship-verified voter list, with a deadline of ninety days from signing. That deadline is weeks away. When the order was challenged in federal court, the Department of Justice told the judge the agencies named had not yet begun preparation and were still in the deliberation phase.

The certificate is dated April 10. DOJ told a federal court the infrastructure does not exist. Both of those cannot be true. Either DOJ lied to a federal judge, or the studio is building a replacement for the country’s voter registration site without telling the agencies whose work it would replace. There is no third option.

While I was finishing this piece, I typed passports.gov directly into my browser, just to see what was there. A sign-in page came up: enter your email and we will send you a six-digit code. No State Department seal. No agency name. No privacy notice. Just a black button that says Send code. The owner of passports.gov is the Executive Office of the President, White House Office. The State Department does not own this domain. The security contact field is blank. The first certificate was issued May 5, three weeks ago. Based on what I can see in the staging environment, the next step will ask Americans to upload their passport photo through a White House-controlled website, on the same Cloudflare account, by the same people, with no privacy notice on file. A passport photo is biometric quality. Linked to your identity through Login.gov. Collected through infrastructure the White House owns, sealed from public view. They are building it this week.

“…What this office is doing is taking the parts of the federal government that touch you directly, your prescription, your voter registration, your passport, your federal login, out of the agencies that legally own them and rebuilding them on White House infrastructure. Vote.gov belongs to the Election Assistance Commission, and the studio built a copy. Passports belong to the State Department, and the studio is building a replacement this week. Login.gov belonged to GSA, and the studio’s guy runs it now.

Trump has said publicly that this infrastructure is for other presidents, and he is right about that. It is the one thing in this story I take him at his word on. The infrastructure outlasts him. Whoever wins in 2028 inherits the websites, the vendors, the data, and the hardware, sealed and waiting.

Ah, the Fourth Of July! July 4th is a national day of mourning as far as I’m concerned, maybe crack open a beer and reflect upon everything we’ve lost in my 78 years here. The only thing worth celebrating will be when Treasonous Trump exits the living, preferably by hanging for treason, but even that is too much to hope for.
