The Clown show just got funnier. Gavin Newsom – the governor of California, who was a fierce pusher of forcing ordinary people to wear “masks” during the late hysteria over “COVID” – just got slapped down by a federal court over his recent attempt to require the un-masking of ICE goons.
Both forms of forced-masking (and forced un-masking) served political purposes. Forcing ordinary people to “mask up” – the hipster way it was put, as if it were a cool thing to do – was done to make it appear there was a “pandemic” afoot. It was a way to compel people to look as if they agreed with the narrative; a form of forced speech, in other words. It also served to demoralize people because it is demoralizing to be forced to do something silly and degrading, like walking around in public looking like a mental patient. It also served to paint a target on the backs of the few who refused to go along with it. Their unmasked faces were also a form of speech. Of protest against the narrative.
Newsom was one of the worst when it came to pushing mask-wearing on everyone else (he excepted himself and his friends, of course; a photo of him dining at a fancy restaurant with out “masking up” stirred up a little resentment but of course no consequences) and siccing the cops on anyone who defied the “mask” orders, especially businesses.
But now he is very triggered by the sight of “masked up” ICE goons. Why? Aren’t masks good? Maybe the ICE goons are just trying to Stay Safe – like some of the afflicted people you can still see at supermarkets who are still wearing “their” (note the possessive) masks.
The difference, of course, is that those maskers are not federal goons. The latter “mask up” because they want to Stay Safe – from accountability. They want to be anonymous – unrecognizable. So that when they Hut! Hut! Hut! someone the Hut! Hut! Hutted! will have no way of knowing who Hut! Hut! Hutted! them.
Newsom is right about taking off the masks – but for the wrong reasons. 
Law enforcement – to use the term favored by badge lickers – without accountability is perhaps the most defining attribute of a police state. The sight of masked goons on American streets is unsettling to anyone who does not want to live in a police state. Who are these people? That’s just the point! We are not allowed to know and – more than that – if we dare to ask who they are, they can respond with an unaccountable Hut! Hut! Hutting!
It sends a message. A Sicilian message. 
But Newsom is – as he always is – a disingenuous political weasel. He only objects to the “masking up” of federal goons because he does not like the Hut! Hut! Hut! applied to his “constituents,” i.e., the army of Me Gustans and those who support the Me Gustans who also support Newsom politically. They are, curiously enough, mostly the same people who supported forcing ordinary people to “mask up” during “COVID.” Now they want to force off the masks – in this particular case. Which is ironic, in a way, because in this case the masks actually do “work.” They stop the spread – of accountability.
A clown show, indeed.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has been transformed into a quasi-legal federal police force with not only questionable mandates but behavior bordering on criminality as well.
Most people are unaware that ICE has police powers that encompass 150 miles from any federal border. An interesting note, the entire state of Michigan is subject to ICE enforcement as all of Michigan is within 150 miles of a federal border.
ICE has been allowed to utilize face and badge coverings, supposedly to “protect” them from being identified. What is to stop ANY individual from utilizing face and badge coverings to criminally accost people just because they can?
ICE uniforms are identical to the uniforms worn by IDF (Israel Defense Forces) personnel in occupied Palestine and Gaza. In fact, USA police departments send their personnel on “free” trips to israel to “see how it’s done”.
In fact, ICE is riddled with IDF and mossad types starting at the top. ICE is a jew-controlled organization.

If ICE officials cannot perform their duties without utilizing disguises, they should find another line of work.
USA citizens and green card holders are presently being kidnapped and deported by ICE without due process. This is occurring with increasing frequency as we speak.
I have no problem with deporting illegals. THAT is the chance that they took by entering the country illegally, but (and that’s a very big BUT), utilizing ICE out of normal Constitutional protections is a situation that will eventually affect ALL of us, USA citizens and green card holders alike.
Those illegals who have gone through the system and have received federal paperwork and court dates should be allowed to appear for their hearings without incident.
Habeas corpus is a basic Constitutional concept that is applicable to ALL people within the borders of the USA. Yes, this includes illegals. Bringing them before a judge before deportation must be used in order to uphold the “rule of law”. If there aren’t enough immigration judges, additional judges can easily be hired and placed to handle the workload.
ICE must be subject to the same Constitutional restraints and “rule of law” as every other police force within the USA.
Another aspect of un-American activities (prodded on by israel and the jewish lobbies within the USA) is the pinpointing, identification and deportation of student visa holders for having “the wrong political beliefs” i. e. protests against genocide in Gaza and the West Bank. THIS aspect of behavior by our government is unconscionable and must be prohibited. So much for “free speech”…

And yet, there are people who’ll vote for him should he run for president in 2028, particularly if he runs on a platform of something like “Undoing the damage caused by Donald Trump”, as there are people who hate Trump soooooooo much they think ONE president (Trump) is the cause of ALL the problems we’ve experienced over the past 10 years. However, Trump is just the latest president in what has increasingly become a corrupt & tyrannical government thanks to NUMEROUS presidential administrations from BOTH political parties.

Jimmy Carter may have been a decent man, but from what I’ve read elsewhere, his administration had members of the Trilateral Commission, which is likely at least partly behind some of the garbage that governments, including the federal government, have been pushing for years.

You may have heard the saying “No matter who you vote for, you get John McCain.” Looking back just at the past 25 years of presidents we’ve had, unfortunately that definitely seems true. Even Barack Obama, who many Democrat voters to this day STILL LOVE, was himself John McCain. Just look at all the wars Obama got us into, not to mention expanding upon the police/ surveillance state established by his predecessor, George W Bush (PATRIOT Act, Dept of Homeland Security, etc.). Democrat/ liberal voters didn’t say SQUAT about it, but likely would have had they been done by a Republican president.

Here’s a dreary hypothesis: People tend to vote their interests – or at least, what they perceive to be in their interests. Many people in their 20s and 30s feel socialism is in their interests – and they’re not entirely wrong given the situation. The system is so obviously corrupted by stock market “capitalism” and grifting that many of these young believe – with cause – that there’s no point to working like a mule to “get ahead” because they probably never will. I am not saying that it is true hard work is pointless. I am saying the perception that it is isn’t something to dismiss. The GOP is seen – again, with cause – as the party of greedheads and assholes who got theirs. The Left leverages this contempt and promises “hope” to people who’ve lost hope.
We’re likely, in my view, to experience an American version of the Russian Revolution. “Capitalism” has become an easy thing to caricature. The culture is exhausted. People are demoralized. We are at or near the point at which the only thing that matters to a lot of people is their day-to-day interests. The Free Shit Army is growing.
On the one hand, I can understand why the 20’s and 30’s are disillusioned with “Capitalism”. They do not realize, however, is that we have not had (or experienced) real Capitalism in a long time. So of course they think it is a failed system. We are more fascist. Since no one teaches history, these younger people will be glad to repeat the deadly mistakes of the past, with folks like AOC thinking that because THEY are trying Communism, it will somehow work “…this time around”. There seems to be no way to wake them up to the reality of what is going to hit them. and when they do wake up, it will be while they are looking at the end of a rifle, with a bullet fast-tracking towards their head.

Yup. I think the difference between today’s 20s and 30s and us when we were that age is that while we also knew the system was sketchy, it wasn’t as oppressive to upward mobility then as it is now. I have cited my own experience as a young guy in the ’90s buying my first house in Northern Va for $155k. which was doable on the modest salary I was earning at The Washington Times. That same house today is “valued” at $650k. My parents could not have afforded it – and my dad was an MD.
You’d need to save up $65,000 in cash to make the usual 10 percent down payment. Good luck with that!
A half-ton 4WD truck costs about $45k to start. The insurance people are forced to buy now costs double or triple. Food costs 30 percent more, easily.

But I agree, cops should not be wearing masks. The Sixth Amendment gives you the right to “confront your accuser.” How can you confront your accuser if you cannot be sure of who he is?

The thing that annoys me primarily is the dichotomy. No Me Gustan can be allowed to “get away” with being in the country illegally – but Fauci and all the rest of the human garbage get away with truly monstrous crimes. I’m weary of it – and hope the rest of the country is getting weary, also.
Part of this, is because we have spent a great deal of time & energy conflating natural rights (free speech, freedom of religion, right to keep & bear arms, etc.) with civil rights (right to vote, right not to be discriminated against, right to stay here without being deported, right to access the social safety net, etc.).
These are not the same thing.
Illegal immigrants get the same natural, human rights everyone else does. They are not, however, entitled to civil rights, at least not full civil rights. We let them have a few civil rights anyway, because we’re (mostly) nice and because due process is a thing and basic fairness — but in general we don’t have to give them very much in this regard.
A society that relies on masked, anonymous enFORCErs is doomed.
And the fact that the argument for keeping them masked is that otherwise they could be “outed” using the very cameras and facial recognition software that the same government has been forcing on us for a decade or more is just a tad ironic.
