The sickness has yet to be cured. Six years after the “COVID” operation was unleashed, the effects remain.
I was parked at my bank the other day when I glanced over to my right and noticed the lady in the car next to me was wearing a Face Diaper. She was alone in her car. She did not put the Face Diaper on upon exiting her car, on her way into the bank. She was wearing it in her car. She probably wears it at home, too. There are still a not-small number of people doing this. I see them all the time in my part of SW Virginia. In fact, I can’t remember a single time when I have been out and about over the past year when I didn’t see at last one person “masked up,” as the styling has it.
It makes me mad – and it makes me sad.
Mad, because I cannot stand seeing these things – the “masks,” I mean. Because they are a reminder of what, for me and many millions of others people, was the worst four years of our lives. What happened during those four years was also unforgivable, particularly because none of the people responsible have had to pay the slightest price for the damage they caused, including the loss of those four years. The friendships and family connections rent asunder. The lost time with elderly parents who were locked away during some of those years and (in many cases) who passed during those years, alone – because “guidelines” precluded family from being with them at the end. The economic cost has been enormous – and that word is hardly adequate. So many small businesses that had been thriving were bankrupted.
Corporate profits swelled, meanwhile.
So when I see a “mask,” I see Dr. Fauci and all the rest of them who just walked away from the wreckage, their pockets full of money, their lives unhindered. I see my mom’s face, too. I wasn’t able to see it during the last lucid years of her life, because she was locked in a “care” facility that denied me entry. By the time I was finally allowed in, she was mostly gone.
So when I see a “mask,” I see red. 
This anger is juxtaposed with sorrow. I see an old lady like the one you can see in the video, who must be afraid to go out without a “mask” over her face, even when she is alone in her car. These poor people. They are traumatized. Ruined. Made all the worse by no meaningful attempt to treat them, as by a public repudiation of the whole sick affair by the government and – above all – the medical apparat. If anything it is the opposite, as regards the medical apparat. Many hospitals and clinics still “recommend” (and some even require) “mask” wearing. What message is conveyed to a fearful old person when she sees her doctor wearing a “mask”?
Precisely.
The kabuki continues because it hasn’t ended. More finely, because the very people who have the power – the credibility – to end it refuse to do that. These doctors continue to pretend that there is medical value in walking around wearing a “mask.” It is something like a mechanic who continues to recommend some ridiculous procedure – such as patting the dashboard at least three times – that obviously doesn’t fix your car. Of course, doctors are no mostly just employees rather than independent practitioners and so – like other employees – they do as they are told by their boss. They know – they have to know – that “masking’ is both silly and worse, on account of the way it maintains the fear that was fomented during “COVID” and there are serious emotional/psychological consequences for that. You’d think their consciences and self-respect might nag at them a little. 
Apparently, the pull of the Almighty Dollar is more powerful.
This is why the “COVID” operation was so awfully successful. The majority of the population is at the mercy of an employer – most of the time a corporate employer. They do not have the means to just quit. Not without risking serious hardship. Onerous taxes and the devaluation of money – what they call “inflation” – have so eroded the financial security of working and middle income people that the pressure to do what they are told is immense and unrelenting.
This pressure isn’t lessening, either. When the next “emergency” is declared, after they have digitized the dollar, it’ll be difficult for all but the Amish to not bend the knee and go along with the show.
Maybe the Amish have got the right idea. Many of us – me among this cohort – have gotten used to what is styled “modern life” and that makes it hard to give it up for a simpler life. But a simpler life is infinitely better than an enserfed/degraded life.

My father died alone during covid in a skilled nursing facility. He was I am guessing one of many patients with co morbidities who were allowed to die in a state of neglect by facilities operating unsupervised. And their staff then portrayed in the media as heroes. I learned the truth behind the euphemisms. Comfort care is assisted suicide by morphine. Helpless patients of all ages essentially neglected, some while being drugged.
It was a life lesson in the importance of doing everything possible to try to prevent yourself from becoming one of the unlucky incapacitated while knowing that if it does happen, there is little you can do except accept your fate. My father knew what was happening to him and was stoic.

To be fair to Rand Paul, he is a Senator from Kentucky. I’m not sure what power if any he has to prosecute Tony Fauci. Wouldn’t prosecuting Fauci be the job of the (corrupt) Dept of Justice? On the other hand, I have heard of state attorneys general who are going after Fauci, though I haven’t heard any updates on that. But yes, until government bureaucrats and politicians who’ve committed crimes against the American people are held accountable, they likely WILL try something like the COVID nonsense again; energy lockdowns perhaps?

I’ve become a little gentler with regard to this. Yes, people who are still “masking” need therapy. They are clearly suffering from extreme anxiety/neurosis. I agree with you that the victims are to be pitied in a sense…however, the ardent and strident demanders of conformance are to be ridiculed and outed. I have friends who I have known for sixty years who both bought into the clot shot and the boosters….they are now having physical and mental issues and I mourn for their victimization at the hands of people like Fauci et al…..OTOH, the people who continue to screech “I trust the science” and hurl ad hominems can go suck an egg. I want to forgive people who show remorse but condemn those who do not. It’s not just a real Christian value to forgive, it’s a rational human value. Forgiveness is one thing but forgetting is another.
Unfortunately, the masks are but a symptom of a much broader societal malaise.
If we could resurrect a person who lived in the late 19th & early 20th century, he would, apart from being impressed by the technological advances, be totally blown by just to what extent we have become reliant and trusting of ‘the experts’, and how we have bent our necks to the government.
The other day I spoke to an accountant – a bright, otherwise quite sensible guy – who took offense when I stated that much of what he did was bullshit work, which would not exist without the myriad of government regulations and taxes the average small business person must now put up with, navigate and pay him for.
In other words, things that do not add to, but subtract from, our living standards and general wealth creation.
That person from 130 years ago didn’t know antibiotics, didn’t have farm machinery or social welfare.
But he could start any business without a license. If he saved up enough, he could travel from Britain/Europe to the US without a passport. He never had to pay taxes or lodge returns. He was tough and he was free.
These days, such a state of affairs is impossible to imagine even to educated and otherwise smart professionals, like that accountant. We fully expect and accept that there are rules over everything and anything. When the ‘authorities’ say we have to wear a mask, or a helmet, or seat belts, we do. When Apple does an automatic update on iPhones, which severely restricts how you can use your >$1000 device unless you provide ‘government-approved ID’ to ‘verify your age’, we bend over and comply.

“It’s only a couple of small jabs. Full immunity after that!”
“Save granny! Save the hospitals!”
And we comply and comply. We even ostracize those few who vaguely remember how we used to be – independent and proud.
Because it’s so much easier to be fat, own nothing and be happy. There are no worries that way, because the big sugar daddy who we ‘vote’ for every few years takes care of us all.

What I find laughable is people who think that putting Democrats back in power in DC is THE answer to the problems we’re facing, such as war, inflation, etc. We already had 8 years of “The One”, Barack Obama as president, plus 4 years of Joe Biden, and millions of Americans ended up WORSE OFF under them. THE problem has been a bloated and corrupt federal government that puts themselves and powerful interests first, regardless of who’s president or which political party controls Congress, but it appears too many people who are Democrat or Republican think the problem is the opposing party who happens to be in power, and that putting “Their guy” or “Their party” in power will fix everything.

You have hit the nail on the head. This resulted from the philosophical adoption of the tenets presented by James Burnham in his 1941 book The Managerial Revolution. He maintained that a technocratic elite of bureaucrats, “experts”, specialists and managers should run the whole show. My father passed on early March. Due to the suddenness of his passing, I had to scramble to make travel arrangements. I was able to stay in a spare apartment at their assisted living facility, which was great because I was just down the hall from mom. Unfortunately I also ran out of my “Super C” supplement that I take during cold season (Vitamin C, D3 and Zinc) right when this all happened and of course I caught a cold on the plane. About 3 days in I was having sneezing and coughing fits. The staff didn’t say anything, didn’t kick me out, nothing. I was exposing the “most vulnerable” of the population to a cold virus and no one cared. FWIW, the same old OTC cold medicine and tonic water (quinine) ended it fairly quickly.

A 14-year-old boy, with severe autism (non-verbal) recently died from an aggressive cancer, in my area. It was a bone cancer that started in his right arm. Turbo cancer, perhaps starting at the injection site? I know cats can get vaccination site cancers; maybe humans can too.

What’s upsetting is that the politicians in executive offices like mayors, governors, and county executives who kept declaring a new emergency order every month and had mask orders kept getting elected, and none of them have been held accountable for the problems they caused and acting by color of law. Our so-called representatives in the legislative branch at local and state levels didn’t put up a fight to stop these mayors and governors. And the people who complied to these orders. I had been kicked out of so many businesses because I refused to put on a mask. It blows my mind that most of those businesses who enforced the mask orders and six feet apart rule are still in business. And I believe the orange man is to blame for this lockdown tyranny as well.

I was at Urgent Care this morning and there is still a sign on the wall ‘recommending’ masks. The PA that I saw was wearing one too. Fortunately most of the employees there are sane and do not wear them.
They were designed for surgeons and medical personnel to avoid getting spit in the wound and to avoid getting splatter on their face. That is the one and only thing they ARE effective for.
Those of us who have been trained to work in IDLH (Immediate Danger to Life and Health) environments are well aware of the requirement for a *tight* *seal* between face and respirator mask, which generally means a rubber seal. Most medical personnel have no such training, and are therefore *ignorant* of the appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
I have zero patience with ignorant people who think they know everything.
My overweight yet loveable black female colleague was wearing a mask yesterday. She said it was because of the pollen. Ok, I guess…but she’s bought the covid hoax hook, line, and sinker so I’m skeptical.

But what really disappoints me is how many young people have been so brainwashed….this has really damaged my relationship with many friends and relatives. Some of them still chirp “I trust the science” and between this and the horrible things happening in Iran I have few folks with whom I align philosophically. T-Rump is going down though one way or another….sadly I do not expect any of the real actors in these fiascos to suffer from their perfidy…..
I always remind the “trust the science” crowd that “trust” is a religious virtue, not an attribute of true science. Science is something that can be empirically observed or otherwise physically discerned, in which case trust isn’t required for proof. It’s also a favorite tool of the charlatan.

Yes. This is a very important point. “Science” has been co-opted by the Left as a neo-religious trump card to signaling their own virtue. Instead of saying “it’s God’s will” or “God wants me to do this” as people did for centuries, they say “it’s the science.”
Unfortunately, almost everything they adhere to contradicts the ACTUAL science. The science of biology says that mammals reproduce sexually and that each sex contributes half the DNA of the offspring. There is no such nonsense as “transgenderism” or a “woman being born in a man’s body” so therefore he needs to cut his dick off in the science.
The science tells us that an aborted fetus has its own unique human DNA, and it’s not a woman’s “own body” over which she has a “choice” to do with as she pleases. The science tells us that woman’s uterus evolved to carry offspring for the perpetuation of her species, and it tells us that the mammalian anus evolved to excrete feces from the colon, not to accept another man’s penis at a gay nightclub.
The science tells us that if you get COVID and recover from it, you have developed natural antibodies to it and thus do not need the shot or the mask. The science tells us that species which reproduce for multiple generations in discrete environments will over time evolve to have different traits suited to those environments. Thus humans who evolved in Africa over 10,000 years are different than humans who evolved in Europe.
One could go on and on but you get the idea. The people most loudly clamoring about how they “believe the science” are the least scientific of all.

And completely ignore now-deceased PCR founder, Kary Mullis’ comment and warning that his PCR test was a scientific tool, nothing more, and was NOT supposed to be used to diagnose anything. Apparently, we are to “Trust The Science” only when it serves their agenda. Forget they said that when it shows what a crock of crooks they are. Even more ironic, in that Kary Mullis (who designed the PCR test) died August of 2019 (“pneumonia”), while folks like Fauci (whom Mullis criticized) made millions, while never having to be accountable like the rest of us.
