Trump’s Battleships . . .

2562

You’ve probably heard Trump talk about his “golden” fleet of new “battleships.” He says  they will be “the largest battleship[s] in the history of the world ever built”  . . . [they] would be made in the United States with US steel . . . We’re going to restore America as a major shipbuilding power.”

Well, that’s interesting.

Firstly because Trump apparently does not even know what a battleship is. If he did, he’d know why none have been built since the 1940s. They are obsolete.

A battleship is basically a heavily armored artillery platform. It is defined by its big guns, which are indeed impressive. The largest battleships ever actually built – Japan’s Yamato and Musashi – had the largest (18 inch) main guns of any battleship ever built. Both were sunk from the air – just as the famous German battleship  Bismarck was crippled from the air by cloth-covered biplanes sicced on her from an aircraft carrier. The latter became the capital ship of world power navies, because aircraft can hit targets much farther away than the (roughly) 25 mile maximum effective range of a battleship’s main guns. The last active battleships were the Iowa-class – all four of them now museum ships. If they put to sea again, they’d probably be sunk long before they got close enough to a target to hit anything with their main artillery. That is why, when they were briefly brought back into service in the ’80s by Reagan, they were extensively modernized with Tomahawk cruise missiles, Harpoon anti-ship missiles and Phalanx CIWS before being decommissioned again in the early 1990s due to high operational costs and changing naval warfare dynamics.

Trump probably knows – understands – none of this.

He uses words without understanding what they mean. An example of this is his recent threat to “decimate” the Iranians. It is not likely that “decimating” them would accomplish much as “decimation” was a method of instilling discipline in Roman legionnaires – by having every tenth man beaten to death by his fellow legionnaires. Trump – being a vulgarian – thinks “decimate” is a synonym for exterminate.

Similarly, it is likely he could not give you even a few basic details about what a battleship is – never mind the history of their type. I would bet the title to my Trans-Am that the president could not tell you what the significance of HMS Dreadnought was, what happened at Jutland or who Gunther Lutjens was. I’d sign over the title if he were able to speak intelligently about even one of these three.

No, for Trump a “battleship” is just a really yuge ship. The yuger the better. Well, the cost certainly will be. The estimated cost for one of Trump’s new battleships is $17 billion. They will be floating casinos, basically. Monuments to his ego – at our expense.

Almost every president of the past 100 years has suffered from War Priapism but Trump’s persona is both belligerent and ridiculous. An eighty-year-old man who got five deferments to escape from war when he was a young man is hungry to send today’s young men to war and waxes exuberant about building a fleet of yuge ships, like a toddler playing with boats in the bathtub.

The more notorious Roman emperors did similar. Nero would have yuge artificial lakes built and staged naval battles for the amusement of himself and his entourage.

In his own mind, Trump may believe that spending $17 billion each on a fleet of impressive-looking but functionally useless “battleships” will make America Great because in Trump’s mind, grandiosity is the working definition of greatness. The yuger the better. We see this in his plans for the White House ballroom, the great arch he wants to have built and now his fleet of “battleships.” It brings to mind another historical figure who was also a great fan of – as he put – “splendor.” This was Herman Goering, the Reichsmarschall of the Greater German Reich. He built yuge things, too – notably his garish country house, Carinhall. He had a yuge model railroad set up, where he played for hours, like an overgrown child.

Interestingly, Goering was the one high Nazi who did not want the war that ended up going not necessarily to Germany’s advantage. He tried desperately to prevent it, acting through mediators and emissaries. Not because Goering was a moral man but because he was not a stupid man. He understood that if Germany went to war it would be a disaster not just for Germany but for himself, personally. Trump isn’t – apparently – smart enough to at least understand that much.

Never mind what a battleship is.

  1. Albert Speer in his memoir, “Inside the Third Reich”, talks at length about Hitler’s obsession with building monuments to himself (a la Arc de Trump, ballroom, golden battleships, etc) and even includes photos of Hitler playing with his countless architectural models and drawings when he should have been focused on more important matters. Interesting similarities that I’m surprised no one has seemingly picked up on.

    • Hi Andrew,

Yup – and Der Fuhrer was (to his credit) a courageous frontsoldat and also someone who had some knowledge of history. Trump is a poltroon and an oaf. A grotesque, bloviating bully.

      • All true. Hitler was wounded and gassed on separate occasions and was awarded the Iron Cross twice. Meanwhile…Field Marshall Bone Spur who received 5 deferments to avoid service recently said “I think I would have made a great general”. He is everything you described in addition to being a mean-spirited buffoon. Nasty little man, indeed.

    • In one of David Irving’s books (I can’t remember which one) Irving tells of Albert Speer taking his father to tour the New Reich Chancellery when it was complete or nearly so. Beholding the structure’s grandeur and opulence, Speer’s father told him, “You are all insane.”

  2. The arrogance of retardism has overtaken the world. El Trumpo is leading the way. The country is doomed. It cannot be preserved in its present fashion.

  3. Ah-well, it doesn’t matter. Our El Presidente of Israel/usa has decided. More importantly, the overlords in the background who ‘really’ control things, They have decided.

Toys on the ocean are a distraction. The boys need to go home.

Do you really own your car?
Do you really own your house and the land it sits on?
Do you even own your family, your children who depend upon you?
Do you even own your dog?
…Just try not giving them a rabies shot & see if you can see a vet or walk in a taxpayer paid park?
    We are owned.
    And, we own nothing.

    …Are you happy?

Our overlords said, ~ “we’d own nothing, and be happy”.

…Are you feeling the Love yet?

  4. The only POSSIBLY useful version of a battleship we could build would be the “Arsenal Ship”. Basically a large missile platform consisting of as many VLS cells as can be fitted into a large (Iowa class) hull.

    • Hi Tommy,

Maybe. Though don’t missile frigates already serve that purpose? Regardless, the thing I was trying to highlight was Trump’s bellicose ignorance. His use of the term, battleship, shows he does not have the first clue about what such as ship is. It makes him look like a fool. He may as well talk about Golden Gramophones..

  5. Great article, does Trump realize that he is now an object of ridicule all over the world.

1.5 trillion is what he and his goons (Hegshit & co) want to rob from the US taxpayer.

There is a scary article in RT today about the military spending in Europe, which has increased 14% last year, but the main point is that the entire world military spending has been increasing dramatically since a decade.

Europe pushes global military spending to record high – report
    https://www.rt.com/news/639152-europe-pushes-global-military-spending/

Whatever the narrative behind this fact, the reality is that the so-called ‘elites’ are preparing a world war. You know the same ‘elites’ who concocted us the plandemic…

They are now preparing a global war, we are actually in the midst of it, in Ukraine, in Iran, in Lebanon, in Sudan, war through proxies for the moment, but permanent wars forever, it is what they want.

Their mRNA didn’t kill enough people so now they use wars to the same outcome.

    • What are you saying? I don’t understand. ““fake” and “theater””

Do you mean, The Tail, wags The Dog?\

A.k.a. don’t you like Fed Slop?

Do you think Zoomers and Millennials love Fed Slop?

I wonder if they eat that crap up. They seem so gullible.

The ones I’ve met, anyway. I do hope there are many exceptions.

  6. There were two things that made battleships irrelevant: the aircraft carrier and long range missiles. With Tomahawk and Harpoon missiles that can travel tens or hundreds of miles, who needs a battleship? Of what use are big guns that can shoot a round a mere 20 some miles, when you have missiles that can go many times farther and hit on the first shot?

  7. Im all for having a battleship as America’s flagship, but just one for symbolic means with a much smaller crew. As a practical matter, all surface ships are obsolete, either because of planes, drones, hypersonic missiles, or torpedoes. There is no effective combat use unless your enemy is stuck in the 1950s. So basically it would be like having a sailing ship around as a symbol.

But they are damn cool, in the same way a giant rocket will always be cooler than some anti gravity machine of the future

    • I agree, Anchar!

And we already have four Iowa Class battleships. They could be made operational again for much less than the cost of building these “battleships” Trump wants and would look much more impressive. He could gild the turrets and put TRUMP in golden letters on the bow, like the chrysanthemum crest that adorned Yamato and Musashi!

      • The problem with reactivating the Iowa class BBs is that the skills and trades needed to man them are disappearing, as are the parts to keep those ships operational. The US Navy long ago migrated away from steam to either gas turbines or nuclear power; gas turbines are used on smaller ships, while nuclear power is used on carriers and subs. With the decommissioning of the Iowa class BBs, steam went the way of the Dodo in US Navy service.

With that in mind, who will man the boilers on the Iowa BBs? Who will maintain them? Furthermore, how would the old analog fire control computers be maintained, repaired, and kept in service? Who would do that work? Where would the parts come from? The same applies for the big guns. Who has the skills and experience to operate and maintain those monsters? Who could repair them? Who would fire them? Even if there were a number of younger men taught these skills and knowledge when they were reactivated, the fact that the Iowa BBs were decommissioned over 30 years ago means that the youngest of these men is in his 50s, with the majority being older. The big guns, in addition to being inferior to missiles, are cumbersome, ungainly, and unwieldy to operate; it takes six 110# bags to fire one 16″ gun. Let THAT sink in!

I told you all that to tell you this: for many practical reasons, the Iowa class BBs aren’t coming back; they’ll never sail again. Why? They can’t. We have neither the parts or the necessary skills to man them anymore.

As for Trump’s battleships, they’re BS. I don’t see why or how any battleship would be relevant in the modern age. Missiles do a better job than a BB’s big guns ever could.

        • First time I saw an Iowa Class was at Norfolk Navy Base in the ’80s. I remember being shocked at how low slung it was in the water. I always assumed it would be taller.

The New Jersey has been docked here on the Delaware River across from Philly for maybe 20 years now. It was outside a concert venue in Camden. If you had certain level ticket you could go onto the ship before the show. Was pretty cool. I always imagined it firing a broadside at Philly. Would cause some good urban renewal there!!

      • Contemporary with Iowa class battleships are Essex class aircraft carriers, four of which survive as museum ships.
USS Hornet (CV/CVA/CVS-12) is tied up at Alameda, CA.
Hornet recovered the Apollo 11 capsule & crew.
USS Yorktown(CV/CVA/CVS-10) is tied up at Patriots Point in Mt. Pleasant, SC.
Yorktown recovered the Apollo 8 capsule & crew.
Yorktown displays a replica of the Apollo 8 command module, since the actual Apollo 8 CM belongs to the Smithsonian Institution, and is currently on loan to the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago.
Years ago, the Smithsonian went “on tour” with some of its prized holdings, including the Apollo 8 CM. I, along with some friends, visited the Smithsonian exhibit @ LA convention Center.
I can say that, for me, it was an eerie experience to stand in front of the Apollo 8 CM, its reentry scars apparent, and realize I was looking at an *actual* spaceship.

    • >So basically it would be like having a sailing ship around as a symbol.
      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Constitution
      >USS Constitution, also known as Old Ironsides, is a three-masted wooden-hulled heavy frigate of the United States Navy. She is the world’s oldest commissioned warship still afloat.
      >She is usually berthed at Pier 1 of the former Charlestown Navy Yard at one end of Boston’s Freedom Trail.
Be sure to take the tour if you are ever in Charlestown.
Low overhead is distinctive, vs. modern vessels. Humans were smaller, on average, in those days.

    • RE: “Im all for having a battleship as America’s flagship,”

Ok, so you’re fine with ripping off your very old neighbors down the road and the pregnant widow next door to pay for that obsolete crap. Unless you’re being sarcastic, that seems quite monsterous.

Does Eric do more of the same? Idk. ” and would look much more impressive. He could gild the turrets and put TRUMP in golden letters on the bow, like the chrysanthemum crest that adorned Yamato and Musashi!”

      !!!%@&&*&

      …Fade to Black.

  8. Ex Navy buddy of mine sums it up perfectly – there are only two classes of ships, submarines and targets. All surface vessels are targets.

    • Wow X, that is just despicable! Any US citizen serving in the IDF should be arrested for war crimes, and then tried for treason. I am sick of these Clowngress critters who are loyal to Israhell vs. Amerika, they should all be stripped of their citizenship and deported to Israhell, never to return here.

    • Subversives for sure. Traitors, probably but not to the constitutional definition of treason. Unfortunately, there is already precedent set for this, it has been done in the past. So long as they have the transfusion needle in the form of income taxes, we are powerless to prevent this kind of thing.

      • “Unfortunately, there is already precedent set for this, it has been done in the past.”

The link provided directly contradicts you: “The State Department makes clear that Americans who travel abroad to fight, including in Ukraine, do so at their own risk and should not expect U.S. government support. There has been no comparable legislative push to extend U.S. military-style protections to Americans serving in these other foreign forces, underscoring how unusual the proposal regarding IDF service is. The IDF proposal is therefore not part of a broader policy trend. It is a specific and isolated effort….it represents a departure from the longstanding rule that U.S. benefits are tied to service for the United States itself. No comparable effort exists for other foreign militaries, and existing law consistently rejects that approach. The debate, therefore, centers on whether citizenship alone is sufficient to justify benefits that were traditionally earned through service to the United States.”

        • I’m pretty sure it was done for the Montagnards and South Vietnamese that expatriated here after the commies won in Vietnam. But that is also different situation and I for one really hope we don’t get a big wave of Israelis coming here, we have too many already.

          • You don’t understand: this law will extend benefits given to US citizens who enlist in the US military to US citizens who enlist in the Israeli (a foreign) military (US has never given benefits to US citizens who enlisted in foreign armies though it does give some benefits/incentives to foreigners who enlist in US army. Israel gives US citizens who enlist in Israeli military benefits.). As far as I know US did not give benefits to any US citizen who enlisted in S. Vietnamese military; not sure the Montagnards had an army for US citizens to enlist in.

Here’s the other co-sponsor on an AIPAC trip for both Republicans and Democrats to Israel: “we’re really exploring the fact that Israel is the tip of the spear with Western civilization and what we’re facing with Islamic extremists and just barbarism. It’s really important for us to be here so that we can focus on how the US can work with Israel in a mutually beneficial way to counter OUR ADVERSARIES.* But we all just want to say one thing. Are we ready? Three. Two. One. Shalom from Israel.”

His claim to fame according to Wiki is that “In 2010, he was one of three attorneys who defended a Navy SEAL accused of covering up an assault on terrorist Ahmad Hashim Abd al-Isawi while al-Isawi was in custody. The Navy SEAL represented by Reschenthaler and the other SEALs charged were acquitted of all charges…Reschenthaler also wrote the foreword to a 2012 self-published book by [Carl] Higbie [former SEAL]. In April 2018, Reschenthaler denounced the book and disavowed the foreword he had written. He said he had only read parts of the book.” [He was born 1983 but didn’t marry til 2021 (almost 40): AI: “First Marriage (2021): Reschenthaler and his first wife, Jennifer [Drogsun], separated in November 2024, and he officially filed for divorce on January 24, 2025. Second Marriage (2026): He married Fox News reporter Brooke Singman on February 14, 2026, at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City.” [Walz, Kash Patel, & Leavitt were at the wedding; his wife wants to replace Leavitt. Not saying he’s another Lindsay G but wouldn’t rule out blackmail.]

*Palestinians are not my adversary. Neither are the Houthis, Hezbollah, Iraqis or Iranians who simply want the U.S. and Israel out of their countries. I consider US and Israel to be the extremist barbarians in Gaza, West Bank, Lebanon, Iraq and Iran. I too want the U.S. and Israel out of those countries. I want the Palestinian State, the 2 state solution, that every president in my lifetime said they were working on. I want Israel to recognize a Palestinian State’s right to exist and the Palestinian right to defend themselves and their land. Just like Iranians have the right (and duty) to defend their land and loved ones. I am sick of the 25 year Global Reign of Terror. I want the people who murdered 3000 Americans on 911 to go to jail/hang. I want Netanyahu, Trump, and Biden to go to jail/hang for war crimes in Gaza–and the same for the unprovoked attack on Iran, the assassination of three layers of gov’t, and the Houthi gov’t, the Hamas gov’t and Hezbollah’s Nazrallah. I want the people like Marc Thiessen who advocate killing more Iranian diplomats to lose their job and be deplatformed for hate speech. Why is some guy under arrest for trying to assassinate Trump? If Americans can murder Iranian government, why can’t we murder our own?

            • “Important that we have a standalone Israel package: Rep. Guy Reschenthaler” Fox News
              https://www.foxbusiness.com/video/6340673573112
Blast from the past/How Jews kill two birds w/one stone: Brags paid for standalone aid pkg to Israel by taking the money Biden/Dems allocated IRS to hire 87K agents to go after billionaires. There’s only 700 billionaires in the US (now there’s 1100+–growing way faster than GDP!) no need to go after them!
AI: Jewish Americans, who make up less than 2% of the total US population, are significantly overrepresented among the wealthiest Americans, consistently accounting for roughly 17% to over 30% of American billionaires, depending on the study and year. Some estimates have placed this figure as high as 139 of the Forbes 400 or even higher depending on definitions of Jewish identity.

Key Findings: A 2022 analysis reported about 132 Jewish billionaires out of 756 in the US, roughly 17.46%. Another, often cited, is that they constitute around 30% of the top 100 richest Americans.
Representation: While they represent only ~2% of the US population, the consistent high percentage in wealth rankings suggests an overrepresentation in top-tier wealth.
Examples: Prominent American billionaires of Jewish descent include Larry Ellison (Oracle), Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook), and Larry Page (Google)..

AI: While there is no exact, official statistic, it is estimated that a significant, disproportionate number of high-net-worth individuals in the US are Jewish. Some reports suggest that over one-third of American multimillionaires are Jewish, despite Jewish people comprising only about 2% of the U.S. population.
Overrepresentation in Wealth: Studies and reports have indicated that Jewish Americans are overrepresented among the wealthy.
Income Levels: A 2020 Pew Research Center report found that 23% of American Jews reported family incomes of $200,000 or more, compared to far lower percentages for the general population.
Billionaires: A 2009 report indicated that over 1/3 of the Forbes 400 wealthiest Americans were Jewish, a figure often cited in analyses of wealth distribution.
Net Worth: A study cited by Wikipedia calculated the median net worth of those identifying with Judaism to be significantly higher than other religious groups at roughly
              $150,890.”

All this wealth disparity is attributed to “education” (and no doubt birth control (1 son the dr/other son the lawyer)–in Israel and the US the orthodox are supported by the state: AI: “Haredi (ultra-Orthodox) communities in the U.S., particularly Hasidic groups in New York and New Jersey, have high poverty rates and rely significantly on public assistance, including Medicaid, Section 8 housing, and SNAP/EBT, due to large families and low-income, one-earner households. Studies show over 50% of Haredi households are poor or near-poor, driven by religious study, high child-rearing costs, and low labor participation.”)–but sure would like to see some tax auditing as well as investigation into other financial crimes like government contract fraud, medicare/medicaid fraud (for nursing homes), bank fraud (money laundering), ponzi schemes, stock manipulation AND tax cheating not only for billionaires like Trump but also corporations (which the wealthy Jews don’t want either).

              • More on Republicans gutting Biden’s tax pkg to fund Gaza genocide; why we have to pay to file fed taxes and why Israel probably has a backdoor into them: “In October 2023 the Republicans, looking for budget items they could cut to pay for Israel’s genocide of Gaza, targeted the funding the Biden administration had set aside for the creation of a government-built online tax return service. At the time the GOP only controlled the House of Representatives, and the proposed free service, known as Direct File, survived. After Trump’s win and the Republican capture of both houses of Congress however, Direct File was eliminated.

“This was a significant win for TurboTax as it once again fended off the challenge of a free online tax return program and locked tens of millions of Americans into using TurboTax’s paid-for service.

“Just a few months before it was scrapped, Intuit’s Zionist leadership donated $1 million to Trump’s inauguration. The end of an IRS-run service was an obvious quid pro quo for this bribe.”

        • Max Miller (1 of 2 Jewish Republican Congressmen) is co-sponsor: Only been in congress since 2023. Got his start on 2016 Trump Campaign and after that rec’d political apts (cousin Eli was COO of Finance for 2016 Trump campaign)*. WIKI: “After the October 7, 2023, attack by Hamas in southern Israel, Miller criticized Rashida Tlaib for displaying a Palestinian flag outside her office, saying: “I don’t even want to call it the Palestinian flag because they’re not a state, they’re a territory, that’s about to probably get eviscerated and go away here shortly, as we’re going to turn that into a parking lot.”[31][32] This has been cited as an example of genocidal rhetoric. Miller further stated there should be no “rules of engagement” in the Israeli assault on Gaza.[33] …He was accused of espousing anti-Christian sentiment in 2023 after he attacked Elizabeth Marbach, the communications director of Ohio Right to Life for a religious-based tweet, stating “This is one of the most bigoted tweets I have ever seen.”[39] Marbach was fired shortly thereafter, and it was later revealed Miller’s then-wife was on the board of directors of the organization, which led to some suggesting she may have had a role in Marbach’s firing, although the organization denied it.[40] After being fired, Marbach was defended by Minnesota Democratic congresswoman Ilhan Omar.[41] Miller later publicly apologized for his remarks.[42]
          Relationships

“Miller dated Trump White House aide Stephanie Grisham from 2019 to 2020.[6] In October 2021, Grisham said that Miller had been physically abusive to her (slapped and shoved her against a wall), cheated on her, and lied to her. Miller filed a defamation lawsuit against her.[43] He voluntarily dismissed the case with prejudice in August 2023.[44]

“Miller became engaged in 2021 to Emily Moreno, daughter of Senator Bernie Moreno.[6] They married in August 2022 at the Trump National Golf Club Bedminster in New Jersey. The couple has a daughter who was born in November 2023. In August 2024, on the couple’s second wedding anniversary, Miller filed for divorce.[45][46] ”

*”He was born an heir of two of the most important families and arguably the most important company in the modern history of Cleveland, the grandson of business kingpin and political power broker Sam Miller and Ruth Ratner Miller, the oldest of the two sons of Abe and Barb Miller and a namesake of Max and Leonard Ratner—the original president and chair, respectively, of Forest City Enterprises, the colossal real estate firm and a font of the clan’s riches, privilege and prestige. Miller lived on a lush corner lot in a large tan home with first-rate real-estate-listing features like a grand foyer and a greenhouse and a sauna and an indoor pool….super misogynistic,” she said. “He was not respectful of women,” another female classmate said. “Not the guy you wanted to be alone in a room with,” still another female classmate said. “He kind of had this anger about him that made me very uncomfortable, so I just sort of disassociated from being anywhere near him,” a fourth female classmate said. That’s why, she said, she wasn’t there “that night.”

“That night, with eight to 10 friends at Miller’s house, Miller pushed a girl out the door of his room and she fell down some stairs after he became enraged when she resisted his attempts to touch her, according to three people who were there and many more who heard about the incident in the aftermath….Miller hooked up in May with the Trump campaign—the cousin connection again, as Eli Miller started that month, too, as the campaign’s chief operating officer of finance. Max made significantly more money on the Trump campaign—$61,000 and change throughout the year—but his job was functionally the same. “We were low-level advance guys,” said a person who worked with him at the time. …arned $83,000 a year as an advance rep, and he was making $115,000 a year in the personnel office—but it seemed to his coworkers that Miller, who favors Hermès ties and drove as a White House aide a gray, red-leather-interior, two-door Porsche, didn’t necessarily need the money. In 2018, Forest City, the family company, was bought by Brookfield Asset Management for a reported $6.8 billion. In March of 2019, Sam Miller died at 97, eliciting statements from Ohio’s foremost politicians. Sen. Rob Portman dubbed him “a Cleveland icon.” Gov. Mike DeWine called him a “larger-than-life figure” and “one of the prominent businessmen and philanthropists in Ohio’s history.” Less than a month after his grandfather’s death, Miller bought for $735,000, according to Washington property records, a two-bedroom, 1,035-square-foot condominium in Logan Circle a mile from the White House.”

  9. Wall Street Journal reports

President Donald Trump, a five-time draft dodger, has plotted how to bestow upon himself the U.S. military’s highest honor while scrambling over a war he started.

White House insiders told The Wall Street Journal in a report published Saturday night that amid the chaos of his war on Iran, Trump, 79, has considered giving himself the Medal of Honor—the nation’s most prestigious military recognition.

“The disruption at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner last night looks less like a genuine assassination attempt and a lot more like a reminder to the Short Fat Trump that he’s expected to continue ordering the US military to fight Iran, not play diplomatic games and give the Islamic Republic more time to continue restocking its missile supplies.

A lot of observers were expecting things to kick off again this weekend. The “assassination attempt” may be an indication that they’re not going to do so.”

      ————

Please remember no Israeli ever goes to jail.

    • Got that right Jack, practically the first thing out of Orange Douchebag’s mouth after the “shooting” was how it couldn’t have happened if only he had his big beautiful ballroom.

      • Comment no. 28:

The “man with the pierced ear” in the wake of the fake Trump assassination attempt in Butler … a message to world jewry …

In the Talmud, a man with a pierced ear refers specifically to a Hebrew indentured servant or slave (eved ivri) who, after serving six years, refuses to accept his freedom and chooses to serve his master forever. This practice is based on the biblical command in Exodus 21:5-6 and Deuteronomy 15:12-18, where the slave’s ear is pierced with an awl against a doorpost.

Trump has chosen his side, and it’s not the side of good.

  11. Hi Eric, et al,
Let’s face facts….Trump occupies the position that all 21st century U.S. presidents have……characteristics include:
    • Narcissism
    • Imperialist ambitions without understanding the difference between tactics and strategy
    • Greed for money and power
    • Lack of intelligence and no awareness of second and third order effects of their actions.
    • Fighting unnecessary wars using previous generations of technology and tactics.

Sadly, given the low bar set for most politicians (Massie excepted), I don’t see an effective solution short of dissolution of the state wholesale. Besides, the ones really running the show are unelected bureaucrats and the oligarchs who control them. Israel is just one pit of oligarchical snakes in a sea of them. We, and generations of Americans to come, will get to pay for this perfidy…..it’s only appropriate that the likes of Trump, the Clintons, Obama, all of the Bush family, Biden et al stand for their crimes here on earth…..I don’t have faith in the concept that they will be punished in any afterlife.

P.S. – barring the use of nuclear weapons, Iran has just kicked the asses of both Israel and the Outlaw Empire, as Karlov calls it.

    • Go Iran – You hit the characteristics of the presidents and congress critters of the 21st century square on the head.

From 1979, I never saw Iran as a direct threat to the American way of life. Most Iranians here came before then and were largely pro USA (as we knew it back then) and didn’t have a problem at all assimilating to our culture, professed religion notwithstanding.

The first narcissist president that I am aware of was Bill Clinton. Every president since has used the word ‘I” instead of “we.”

They are all sickening. On the subject of afterlife, sure, I believe that there is one, and people will get their punishment for what they did, but that doesn’t help the situation at all right here and now.

  12. IMO is some kind of braggart and loon who wants golden dome and golden battleships and golden toilets. Obviously Trump has a limited vocabulary and loves gold, he’s got gold on his orange brain, gold goat statue in the white house. I find the guy creepy and weird and a spendthrift – always blowing big chunks of money on his latest hair-brained ideas that just pop into his decaying mind.

The USA military empire is actually shrinking and Trump and His Ego are projecting some past outdated weapon systems to glorify him – which all costs a shit ton of money we don’t have. Trump wants BIGGER gun boats than the USA glory days.

Trump – ” I want to build the biggest golden bombers, the biggest ever, 3 times bigger than B-52s, with 16 jet engines, for the greatest military ever on the face of the earth, to bomb whole nations into oblivion before my next glorious birthday. Amerika is the greatest nation and we need to bomb more countries off the map, there should be no countries left on any maps after my presidency”.

We need to rid ourselves of this fat orange MIGA pig as soon as possible before he wastes more money, says more ridiculous things, attacks more nations, kills more foreign heads of state, bombs more school children, kills more fisherman, etc.

Trump is a menace to civilized society, his entourage of Jewish thugs and wannabes like Caroline Levitt, Pam Bondi, Jared Kushner, need all to be locked up forever and ever. Anyone staying party to the Trump regime are risking prison time.

    • Battleships were mostly lost to torpedos, Musashi and Yamato bothe were sunk by US subs, and Bismarck disabled and doomed by aerial torpedo and finished by Brit battleships. Though an Iowa class would still be useful for shelling coastal areas of an opponent without submarines.

Nukes, however, make sure there will never be another D Day or IWork Jima. Future invasions will be more like infiltrations where thousands or millions of military aged men sneak across borders. They need not even bring their own weapons and can wreak havoc by subversion of various types.

  13. ‘Trump probably knows – understands – none of this.’ — eric

Admiral Donnie is a stable maritime genius — according to the voices in his head.

Donnie had mobster friends and mentors, growing up in New York City. But he never got involved in the wet work.

Six years ago, though — probably on orders from Netanyahu — Donnie assassinated Iran’s Qasem Soleimani, after the general arrived at Baghdad Airport on a civilian flight. This year, US occupation troops got booted out of Iraq, just as they got booted out of their bases in the Gulf states.

Frustrated with his unbroken losing streak, Donnie has turned to assassinating cholos on fast boats in the Pacific and Caribbean — more than a hundred so far.

An empire headed by such an arrested-development, eight-year-old personality imprisoned in an eighty-year-old body has entered its tertiary stage of shambolic decline, in which tragedy reliably turns into farce.

Last night Karoline Leavitt called on everyone to watch Donnie rant and preen at the White House correspondents dinner, because ‘there will be “shots fired”.’

Certainly it was entertaining, watching the presstitute rabble abandon their soup and cower under the tables. But like everything else in sunset America, the mission failed. 🙁

Having made off with the leftovers, Donnie Dorito arrives to feed hungry sailors on the USS Gerald Ford:

  14. Honestly, the day of the battleship is past, and the day of the low cost weapon system is already here.

Ukraine is the stalemate it is not because of the pallets of cash and overpriced western weapons, but because of the tens of thousands of cheap imported and home built drones. And this is against Russia which generally relies on rock solid low cost tech.

Against the US with its limited numbers of advanced weapons systems which are incredibly expensive, a competent enemy merely has to hunker down, take losses, and attrit. They may not be able to “win” in the traditional sense by invading and conquering land and populations, but they really cannot lose.

The problem for the US empire is that it was designed from the start to secure the liberty of individuals by relying on the support and ability of free individuals. You cannot invade the US because of the vast array of citizen weaponry. Nor can you hire enough cops to control the place without terrorism (excessive fines and punishments) and enough propaganda to get enough people to support the same cops oppressing them.

    • The comments are interesting as well. To me, this particular video suffers from a bit too much repetition. The notion of “paying too much taxes” is certainly well taken but an outsider might not understand how many folks not only pay no Fed income taxes but actually get more than what they owed or paid in taxes back via “refundable” tax credits. More generally, there is a sort of misunderstanding of what the US government is and should be versus, say, the minarchist libertarian understanding of such. I think it touches a nerve with some folks but the wartime videos were more on point.

  15. The modern warship is the cargo container. Fill it up with drones and drone parts and send it wherever it’s needed.

With the Pentagon going all in on AI expect to see swarm bombs that attack in a coordinated and controlled manner. Like cluster bombs that only hit the target, not destroy everything around it. They might launch like a mortar but probably will have several ways to launch, but my guess is out of 16″ gun barrel isn’t one.
