Town is not allowed to write tickets on state and federal roads until Dec. 31, 2030. You better watch out on local roads lol.
Arkansas’ Speed Trap Law prohibits towns from ticket revenues exceeding 30% of its total budget. Aimed at preventing police from prioritizing revenue over public safety. Which every police department is likely guilty of.
More states need this law, or better yet, police can’t keep ticket revenue at all.

Just to rub our noses in feces as the war situation develops not necessarily to our advantage, yesterday the House passed a three-year extension of the FISA Act, whose Section 702 effectively repeals Amendment IV of the Bill of Rights.
My Freedom Caucus House rep was one of 22 Republicans who opposed the measure. This morning I thanked him for his ‘no’ vote. Politico explains what’s next:
‘But the saga isn’t over yet. The Senate is unlikely to clear the House-passed extension, which will be sent over with an unrelated, permanent ban on the Federal Reserve’s ability to issue a digital currency attached.
‘That provision was included at the behest of ultraconservatives, but it is so divisive across the Capitol that it has stalled a major affordable housing package for months. Senate Majority Leader John Thune earlier this week warned that the digital currency ban was “not happening” as part of spy law renewal.
‘That means the Senate could send its own version of a Section 702 extension back to the House with just hours to spare before the law expires Thursday night.’
