War Tax Report: 07/18/2026

Paying less than $4 for a gallon of gas was nice for the two weeks it lasted. Now it’s back to $4 again and – almost certainly – headed higher since the Strait of Hormuz is closed again, shutting off much of the world’s oil supply. Trump has been using the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) to buffer the effects of this, but the SPR is reportedly getting close to being tapped out and when that happens, Trump will no longer be able to buffer the consequences of this stupid, evil war he refuses to end.

Why does he not choose to end it? A number of possible reasons come to mind, all of them stupid and evil. He cannot abide being seen as a “loser” – no matter what it costs us (he himself is not paying any costs and won’t, just like Dr. Fauci and Albert Bourla; the people who cause real harm almost never pay any costs; costs – like taxes – are for the “little people,” as Leona Helmsley once put it). Israel cannot abide the Iranians winning, which they have so far. Iran is a stumbling block in the way of their Greater Israel project and Trump is the Golem put in place to further that project. He may be a willing Golem. It does not matter. What does is that he is a Golem for interests that are not in America’s interests.

The interesting thing is that ending the war would be a win for Trump – and America. Most Americans want the war to end; they want to stop paying the War Tax. Trump would be seen – accurately, this time – as the president who ended a war (even if he did start it). Still, ending is much better than starting – and continuing. If the war really ended – not a temporary pause for a couple of weeks – and predictability replaced chaos, the oil would begin flowing again and the SPR would be refilling. A great sigh of relief could be heard – echoing to the surface of the Moon and beyond.

It is interesting that Trump does not grasp this – apparently. It is possible he’s so blinded by his own ego that he cannot see it. That the cordon of braying yes men who surround him echo him so loudly he can’t hear the voice of reason (e.g., Charlie Kirk’s – though Charlie got cursed – before he got killed – for telling Trump what he did not want to hear).

Well, what now?

Will Trump keep bombing in the manner of Nixon in ’72 – hoping that if he drops enough bombs the Iranians will, at last, come back to the negotiating table? Why would they – shy of having to? General Weidling – the last commander of Berlin – had to. The Germans had lost the war. Weidling had no choice. The Iranians have a choice. What choice do you suppose they’ll make? What choice would you make if you were the Iranian in charge?

Trump could, of course, do what the Russians did to get Berlin to surrender. He could send in hundreds of thousands of ground troops – to slaughter and exhaust the hundreds of thousands of Iranian troops. In other words, he could expand the war. Make it – per Dr. Goebbels – a total war. But a war for what, again? It’s not a fight for “freedom” and good luck trying to persuade the American people that it is, no matter how loudly and often the Lee Greenwood song is played. Almost everyone is aware this war has nothing to do with their “freedoms.” While most Americans like the idea of the Iranians having their “freedom,” few of them are interested in fighting for it. Or paying for it.

Of course, they already are. The question now is how much more will they be paying for it because it appears there will be no end to it. It feels like being in the back seat of a fast car with the accelerator pedal stuck and the driver unwilling to try to un-stuck it. It must have felt this way back in the summer of 1914. A very stupid, evil war was about to start and it seemed there was no way to stop it.

What will stop Trump?

  1. Joe Kent, former head of Counter Terrorism, says “bring all the troops home”.

Naturally this has NeoCons and other Empire Builders in a tizzy. ISOLATIONIST! they screech.

This is an epithet that’s bandied about to shut down any discussion of Peace. They insist that it is the responsibility of the country to engage in militaristic adventurism abroad. But, it’s not the country that would be “isolationist”, it’s the Government of the country that should be isolationist. Most people don’t get this because they’ve been brainwashed into thinking the Government and the Country are the same thing. They’re not.

Until more people realize it is the Government that is the problem, not the country, we won’t see any improvement.

    Empire be damned.

    • Yes, time is up for the institution called government. Humanity cannot survive it one second longer. It must go so that entrepreneurs, creators and producers can operate unimpeded, which is absolutely necessary for humanity to recover.

  2. Over 5 bucks a gallon here in parts of the dirty Verde, but who gives a shit? Since we are winning bigly against election fraud, and for greater Israel… Which ironically, could have been successfully accomplished if we had stayed out of Afghanistan and used Iraq as one giant FOB to divvy up the entire ME.

An ocean on each side of us, we can grow all the food we could ever eat, pump all the oil we’d ever need, mine enough gold and silver to properly back a true reserve currency, and still, we feel the need to murder people half a world away that did nothing to us. The security state apparatus of this country is entirely mad. Probably a side effect from being sheep dipped in syphilis at a young age.

    • Morning, Norman!

Yup; it’s tragic – and I sense more and more Americans see it. We could and should have a prosperous, self-sufficient country in which creativity and individualism flourish to create almost unimaginable variety and happiness for all. Instead, we’re systematically and deliberately impoverished for the benefit of a relative handful of despicable greedheads and killers.

  3. Is the US government in a position to determine who can and cannot have nuclear weapons?

After all, they are the only government to have deployed nuclear weapons…twice…on civilian population centers.

  4. Yep. I thought maybe Trump could do it, but, no, he thinks he can simply negotiate with them. Time to call it a loss and pull out. I’m tired of him pissing away every advantage he had.

    • Oh, and that goes for Israel, too. Of course, their biggest mistake was just assuming that all that concrete (enough to make more than 15! of the largest skyscraper in the world) was going to building nonexistent apartment buildings or other peaceful purposes instead of tunnels and bunkers. Netanyahu was more interested in maintaining power than in the people.

Maybe someday we’ll get a president worthy of America. Yeah, there’s a lot of good he’s done, but 3 fucking months of pointless negotiations? Fucking moron.

      • “Maybe someday we’ll get a president worthy of America. Yeah, there’s a lot of good he’s done, but 3 fucking months of pointless negotiations? Fucking moron.” [How does attacking Iran make him “worthy of America”? Aren’t you confusing U.S. with Israel?]

Surprised you ain’t worried about these deals: 7.18.26 DDGeopolitics: “☢️🇸🇦 TRUMP ADMIN TENTATIVELY AGREES TO LET SAUDI ARABIA ENRICH URANIUM, CNN REPORTS

“The Trump administration has tentatively agreed to allow Saudi Arabia to enrich uranium, CNN reports, citing sources familiar with the matter.

“The draft agreement would see the US support Saudi Arabia’s nuclear program. Negotiations wrapped up back in October 2025, but the document is still waiting on Trump’s signature.

“CNN reports the signing has been delayed partly because of the war with Iran, and officials in the administration are also worried Congress could block the deal.
Notably, the agreement would not require Riyadh to join the IAEA’s Additional Protocol, which grants inspectors expanded access.

“Experts warn that granting Saudi Arabia enrichment rights could open the door to a Saudi path toward nuclear weapons.”
        ________________
Trump’s also negotiating to sell F35s to Turkey: (A) “President Donald Trump is considering selling Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II stealth fighter jets to Turkey. He announced his willingness to consider the sale and lift existing sanctions during a NATO summit in Ankara, contingent on Turkey resolving issues surrounding its Russian-made S-400 missile systems. The proposed transaction marks a potential reversal of U.S. policy, as Turkey had been removed from the Joint Strike Fighter program in 2019 following its acquisition of the Russian S-400s.

“The potential sale has already met with strong pushback from lawmakers in the U.S. Congress and international opposition from leaders like Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. You can track further developments in the agreement via the Wall Street Journal or review the Reuters report on related jet engine technology sales to Ankara”
        _____________________

Netanyahu’s mistake was thinking he was so smart he didn’t have to negotiate in good faith with the Palestinian Authority but could start the Arabs fighting each other while shouting !TERRORISTS! at world opinion and thus prevent a Palestinian state. NO two state solution! He could manipulate the US: ruin hostage negotiations for Carter; set up Clinton with Monica Lewinsky; world still don’t know what he had on Bush I/II but it must have been a doozy to get 3000 Americans murdered on 911 and kick off 25 years of war. To know what he had on Biden (and he was the first foreign gov’t to recognize Biden’s “win”) just have to look at Hunter’s laptop. And Trump is obviously Netanyahu’s wholly owned subsidiary.

You and Netanyahu got your war, but it ain’t turning out like you thought. It might turn out well for the US though: we might get a president who recognizes a Palestinian State. Maybe Israel will get a PM who does that also. It’s Israel’s one hope.

        • Enrichment is inevitable. Getting it above board should be the goal, rather than done in the shadows. And, yeah, I’d have said that for Israel, too. But that ship has sailed.

F-35s to Turkey concerned me at first until I got to thinking a little more. The future of warfare is almost certainly not manned. An unmanned vehicle can pull as many Gs as the frame can take, a manned craft is limited to maybe 2 or 3 -Gz. That is, the Anduril Fury is probably already more capable in a dogfight. It could even kamikaze into a manned jet and be way ahead, though it could probably beat him straight up. And I’m sure DoW knows that and has probably briefed Trump about it. Might as well get something for the tech while it’s still worth something.

I don’t know what you are getting at WRT Oct 7, and I suspect you don’t either.

    • Steve,

What’s to “negotiate”? Iran has won. Also, why would they bother to negotiate with a man who is a serial liar who cannot be trusted? Would Trump negotiate with someone who’d ordered the murder of his family members? The dissonance and jingoism is halting. Maybe it’s too much listening to that Lee Greenwood song?

      • There never should have been any negotiation, Eric. That’s what everyone has been trying for the last 47 years, and it’s NEVER accomplished anything except handing Iran a win. I thought Trump had the sense to not go into negotiations from a point of weakness. Instead wait until Iran came on bended knee. The school on day 1 rattled him, which was probably the intent. (Whether that was Iran intel success or US intel failure matters not. The result was the same. He lost his nerve.)

        • Oy vey, Steve –

The 47 years thing, again? How about we just leave them alone? We haven’t done that for 47 years (at least). Might be worth trying. Try to imagine what it would be like – how you’d feel about us – if you were Iranian. If your country had a “shah” imposed on it as a kind of Persian Quisling, to serve the interests of foreign powers. Of course, that’s exactly what we do have – now – in the person of Israel’s golden golem.

  5. Pretty sure most Americans didn’t want most of the wars AINO (America in name only) has started since 1945. But govcorp is already setting up for conscription, and men will do what they’re told and go off to kill people who haven’t threatened or harmed them, as they always do, as they’re doing right now.

When will men stand up and say no, no more? The power of all governments rests on the ability to manipulate, coerce and force men into complying with their schemes.

    • I think Fedgov reinstating “the draft” aka involuntary servitude would be the last straw, since today’s draft age kids and their parents are well aware of the reasons why. Time to bring back the 60’s chant of ‘hell no, we won’t go’ to fight your criminal, unconstitutional, illegal war for Israhell. Round up every single neocon Zionist (but I repeat myself) warmonger and drop them into Iran; maybe even give them a parachute

      • Hi Mike,

If there is to be an invasion of Iran with American troops, I think Barron Trump ought to be the first to jump out of the helicopter…

      • There won’t be a draft. The Idiot in Chief won’t even deploy those who would love to mix it up with the IRGC instead of bobbing around in the ocean or guarding concrete in Finland.

        • Hi Steve,

If he wants to invade/occupy Iran, he may have to. There isn’t enough cannon fodder otherwise. In some ways, the draft was a good thing in that served as a check on exactly this sort of fiasco. Not many Americans want to see their sons sent to Iran to fight and die for Israel.

      • I was watching a podcast earlier referencing protest marches in DC against the Vietnam war involving 500,000 people or more. What happened to that spirit? Where are the protests today? Americans have been de-balled.

  6. Message to all serving USA military personnel.

Congress is in the process of committing TREASON by turning over the USA military to israeli control.

Israel-firsters within the military (who all hold israeli passports) are already being pre-positioned in key positions to facilitate the takeover of the USA military by Israel.

Eventually, all key command positions, both officer, NCO and enlisted will be filled by Israeli, IDF and mossad types. There will be no place for true Americans to command and control the military. All decisions will be made by Israelis. Those of the non-NCO enlisted ranks will be among the most affected. All true USA military personnel must thoroughly investigate and vet their leaders. Those personnel with any ties to Israel must be treated with the greatest suspicion.

    What you can do:

    Commissioned officers:

If you are a commissioned officer, make plans to resign your commission. I realize that this is not an easy decision but one that just may be the proper course of action before the total takeover of the USA military by israel takes place. If you choose to remain on active duty, you can surreptitiously “monkey-wrench” the system as well by making your Israeli handlers “look bad”.

    Staff NCOs:

Realize that you will be used for purposes beneficial to Israel and detrimental to the interests of the USA. Plan to leave military service upon completion of your contract. Yes, this will be difficult for those who are approaching their twenty-year mark where the retirement opportunity is available.
If you choose to remain on active duty, an alternative solution is to surreptitiously “monkey-wrench” the system and to make your Israeli-controlled superiors “look bad”. Staff NCOs have the ability to make or break commissioned officers by either following commands “to the letter” or to purposely offer non-viable solutions to officer’s commands.

    Non-Staff NCOs:

Follow directions put forth by those officers and staff NCOs that you can trust not those who are beholden to Israel. NCOs of all levels have the ability to surreptitiously “monkey-wrench” the system by following commissioned officers and staff NCOs commands to the letter. Sidelining and redlining perfectly-functioning equipment, making it unavailable for use is but another solution. Enlisted Air Force and Navy personnel will have an easier time sidelining and redlining equipment as they have the statutory authority to sideline and redline equipment.

    Non-NCO enlisted personnel:

You may have the most difficult job of all. You are required to obey all commands given to you by your superiors, but, thinking on your own, you can still surreptitiously monkey-wrench commands and demands made by those military superiors who are beholden to Israel. The advantage you have is that you can feign ignorance or just claim misunderstanding of commands and orders given to you. The choice will be yours to leave military service after the completion of your contract.

  7. Trying to put a hundred thousand troops on Iranian territory would end in a disaster that would make the Charge of the Light Brigade and Gallipoli look like tremendous successes.

There is no way to insert troops without them being slaughtered on the process. You think those kids getting shot coming ashore at Normandy was bad, try doing that into the teeth of drones and hypersonic missiles.

Face it ‘Murica, you can put your hand over your heat and pledge your allegiance and sing the national fight song full throatily but, the Empire is collapsing before your very eyes.

    • You don’t the the DoW is aware of that? You sound like the guys who confidently predicted the fast boats and drones would sink all US ships in the first hour of battle, never once considering the possibility that only a terribly stupid military would place their ships in range when they didn’t have to be.

My bet? If they decide to go boots on the ground (big if), it will be Rangers and Delta taking one of the tunnel entrances and going inside where their drones and missiles are useless. Like the Spartans at Thermopylae or Horatius Cocles, the close quarters favors quality of troops. Bigly. Then use some of those wheeled/tracked drones Ukraine has been using to hold ground and even capture Russian strongpoints. From the video we’ve seen of the tunnels, our troops could get behind blast doors, then either blow up a missile or set off a bomb. Either way, overpressure kills any defenders who are not also behind blast doors. Lather, rinse, repeat.

      • A relative handful of troops cannot and will not conquer Iran. A fundamental flaw in the thinking of Empires is that they can “control” people in faraway lands. They can’t. Period. Why? BECAUSE IT’S THEIR FLIPPIN’ COUNTRY!!

It didn’t work for the British in North America in the late 18th Century.

It didn’t work for the U.S. in Vietnam.

It didn’t work for the U.S. in Afghanistan or Iraq.

        Why should it work now?

  8. Governments are best at killing people. Without a war, they resort to killing their own people. Or they just cut it out, please.
Trump’s not bad, for a psychopathic retarded egomaniac.

  9. Nobody is mentioning the decimation of ALL USA-run military bases in the middle east. Satellite images show massive but selective destruction on all fronts. From USA aircraft, ships and aircraft carriers, Iran has been “doing a number” on all of them. This was also the case with USA-supplied radar and weather-modification sites which when decimated, halted the multi-decade drought that Iran was suffering under.
If the USA public truly knew what was going on, there might be enough momentum to put a stop to it and redirect our firepower towards israel itself.
To Iran’s credit, they painted aircraft shapes on their tarmacs causing both israeli and USA bombs to strike nonexistent aircraft–a brilliant low-tech move that helped expend israel’s and the USA’s military bombs.
Unlike israel and its b!tch, the USA, Iran is a moral country which purposely avoids targeting civilians.
Foreign news sites unaligned with the USA and israel are but ways to get unfiltered real information…

    • That’s why I wanted to wait around for independent imagery. Early indications were limited damage https://defencesecurityasia.com/en/iran-ballistic-missile-strike-jordan-prince-hassan-air-base-satellite-proof-2026/ and nothing bigger has surfaced in the meantime. A hanger here, a drone storage building there. Runway damage that the Corps of Engineers learned how to repair in hours back during WWII.

It never ceases to amaze me how supposedly America Firsters thrill to hear any evidence of America getting obliterated. (Yes, word choice intentional.)

      • Hi Steve,

America Firsters do not like wars of choice – because they do not put America (or Americans) first. We have no legitimate reason to bomb Iran – but Iran has a legitimate reason to defend itself.

        • Iran is obviously building nukes. Not for Israel. Even Haifa is way too close to the holy city of Jerusalem. Obviously they don’t intend to use them on Mecca or Medina. So who would they use them on? Hint: Rural Virginia is a great place to die of radiation poisoning. Not the mercy of an instant death, but a lingering one that would serve the people of the book right.

And before you say they would not use them, that they would just be deterrence, tell me that you made a good faith effort to understand Twelver eschatology. Otherwise, all you are doing is projecting and speaking from ignorance.

            • That’s exactly what they want. Read up on their religion.

But I doubt that would lead to their complete destruction. Look what the world thought about Israel killing tens of thousands of civilians to get at thousands of combatants. Do you really think the world would look the other way?

              • Blah, blah, blah.

                Heard it all before.

                “They” are a death cult.

“They” don’t value life like we do.

                “They” can’t be trusted.

                “They” only understand force.

                “They” can’t be reasoned with.

It was BS when said about the Plains Indians, The Huns, The Japs, The Huns(again), The Koreans, The Vietnamese, The Iraqis, The Libyans and on and on and on.

Same crap, different group. And it’s always the ‘Muricans reaching for a gun because “we have to fight them over there so we don’t have to fight them here”.

          • Steve,

This idea that Iran is building nukes to nuke SW Virginia or anywhere else in America is risible. It’s Bibi-talk. What the Iranians want is a defensive capability to ward off exactly what is being done to them right now. Can you blame them? Israel has lots of nukes and has them contrary to “international law” but that’s ok and we’re not supposed to even talk about it because Israel is exempt from the norms that apply to other countries. Israel is run by aggressive psychopaths such as “Bibi” – who think they are “chosen” and special and also persecuted and entitled to as much of other people’s land and treasure as they get away with taking. From the Nile to the Euphrates! It’s literally what they seek. But the Persians are the dangerous ones.

            Oy vey.

      • Steve, it’s amazing how you keep repeating the same lies. US stopped satellite images being available in March because they were showing all kinds of damage that U.S. has yet to publicly acknowledge. US had to take THAADs from Korea because Israel’s were destroyed. If bases are intact/defensible, why is US aircraft in Jordan and Israel?

Iranians are doing even more damage in the last few days. WSJ reported today that: “BREAKING: U.S. officials believe Iran has significantly upgraded its missile capabilities.

“According to the Wall Street Journal, Iran is now using missiles that travel at extremely high speeds and can maneuver during their final descent, making them far more difficult for American missile defense systems to intercept.

“Officials are also increasingly concerned by the improved accuracy of Iran’s strikes, with some suspecting Tehran may be receiving targeting assistance from either China or Russia, though no public evidence has been presented to confirm the claim.” (they said exact same thing during 40 day war)
        https://x.com/TheIranianzg3z/status/2078570672474017946

          • At least. I don’t think they are giving out true casualty figures anymore than they are telling the truth about the destroyed bases, our missile and fuel stockpiles, etc.

Janta Ka Reporter showed a clip from interview w/an Iranian Major-General Mohsen Rezaei, senior military adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader, who believes U.S. is purposely turning this into a WW just as they turned 40 day war into a regional one. He says it’s a miscalculation on the part of the Americans same as turning 40 day into regional war.
            @8:24 (only about 30 seconds)
            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vS5Esz-8ABE

I don’t understand how U.S. could do that unless Trump/Israel’s aim is the total defeat/overthorw (?) of the U.S. gov’t (similar to what happened during WWI when Czar, Kaiser, Austro Hungarian Empire and Ottoman Empire all destroyed), but Trump is authorizing Ukraine to attack Russian power plants (another one last night) and tankers (Europe has also been seizing); taking Venezuela was hit against China same as closing the straits and also his speech this week, but not sure where US will get rare earths and chips we need to build our missiles w/out China. Anyway Iranian indicated Russia would fight Europe and China take Taiwan and Turkey fight Israel and even Saudi Arabia drawn in. UK is definitely egging on Ukraine — maybe whole thing is financial.

I’m getting ready to write my congressmen again about impeaching Trump. This is the 3rd time.

            • “..DD Geopolitics..”

              From their “About” page:

“The world is changing at an unprecedented rate, through education and class consciousness can we prepare for the decline of western hegemony and the rise of the Global South.”

Oh, yes, that’s what every good libertarian follows. Anyone whose prime emphasis is on class consciousness is a natural libertarian.

        • “US stopped satellite images being available in March because they were showing all kinds of damage that U.S. has yet to publicly acknowledge.”

You can’t possibly be that stupid about matters of war. There’s a reason for the phrase “fog of war”. They want Iran to have to put some effort into finding out which things got hit and what they still need to target. Why give them that intel for free?

You America Lasters are so tiresome. Whenever there are multiple possible explanations, you always select the one that’s worst for America.

  10. Trump operates one direction. That is everyone must bend to his will.
Except for a certain country. When he signed off on the MOU that included Lebanon cease fire as a condition, a certain country ignored it. Trump didn’t make it comply.
    Why not?

Everyone must praise him or get the Massie treatment, so why this exception?

It could indicate he is not really in control at all. Or he is being manipulated and doesn’t know up from down.

No matter because at the end of the day, he is a liar and is directly responsible for many deaths via his choice to wage war on a country that is no threat to us other than our pride.

If there is a judgement day, his will be severe.

  11. “Almost everyone is aware this war has nothing to do with their ‘freedoms.'” – Eric

Trump and the Israelis have for years been braying about the Iranian terrorist connection, without offering any proof. Most Americans are well aware of the never-ending War On Terror™ most notably when traveling by air. Maybe after 25 years of security theatre we’re all used to it. Maybe because of all the data harvesting in the name of “free” stuff in exchange for your attention to unwanted ads (or the whack-a-mole game of ad blockers vs Google), maybe those Flock cameras are just a sign of the times… But IF there’s any real evidence that Iran is the culprit behind all terrorism, and IF having a regime change war would undo the last 20 years of panopticon buildout, then let the baby have his bottle. Let him break things over there so we can have our lives back here.

Of course none of that’s ever going to happen, because it’s a lie. Completely made up just to justify continuing the activity. And what if the Iranian people suddenly “saw the light” and welcomed The Shaw back with open arms, begging for the tyrant to once again oppress them and sell out to the west? Would the War On Terror™ suddenly end? All those TSA agents and CIA spies just go find jobs in the public sector? Drawdown and closure of all those overseas bases?

    Not a chance.

  12. ‘Few Americans are interested in paying for it.’ — eric

Faced with a crisis of its own making, the US fedgov reverts to its time-honored first line of defense: LIE!

‘While the Pentagon publicly clings to a $30 billion price tag for its war against Iran, internal Defense Department assessments paint a far darker picture: the true cost is rapidly closing in on the $80 billion to $100 billion range, according to NBC News.

‘The lower [$30 billion] figure was reportedly initially floated based on a classic Washington accounting trick which only evaluates the cost of expended missiles and munitions, while conveniently ignoring the charred remnants of American hardware and damaged bases littering the Gulf states after Iranian retaliatory attacks.

‘The [$80 to $100 billion] estimate accounts for actually rebuilding those installations.’

Rebuilding? Why in the hell would indefensible overseas bases be rebuilt by a Clowngov that’s $39 trillion in debt?

The most fundamental fact of life for Americlowns is that the past 80 years of ruling the freaking world have bankrupted it — the empire is a metastasizing deadweight loss.

Yet never is our slow-motion extinction mentioned in mainstream venues. America is dying. Hardly anyone knows why. Collectively, the Untied States is retarded — a dim-witted dodo bird, too stupid to survive. Flush twice, it’s a long way to WARshington.

    • “Rebuilding? Why in the hell would indefensible overseas bases be rebuilt by a Clowngov that’s $39 trillion in debt?”

From your lips to God’s ears. Sure would be nice to have “American interests” be something good for America for a change.

  13. ‘Trump will no longer be able to buffer the consequences of this stupid, evil war.’ — eric

In an essay titled ‘The Resumption of the Iran War and Oil Supplies,’ Ron Unz whacks Donnie Demento with a nail-studded 2×4:

‘Influential MAGA attorney Robert Barnes was … remarkably candid in his statements, arguing that Trump’s severe cognitive decline had left him with the self-control and reactions of a five-year-old, thus explaining much of the policy incoherence of the last few months.

‘Trump expressed considerable surprise over apparently strong support for Khamenei within Iran. Based upon what he had been told by Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump said he’d thought that nearly all Iranians hated their own leader.

‘As was often the case, Trump seemed to be playing the role of President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho from the satirical film Idiocracy. If Trump has not regularly revealed himself to be the most profoundly ignorant and stupid president our country has ever had, I’m not sure who would claim that dubious distinction.’

Being ruled by a corrupt, mentally ill flake has consequences. Likely the Orange Oaf will be impeached a third time when the new D-party majority House reconvenes on January 3.

Fine with me. Trump has committed literally dozens of ‘high crimes and misdemeanors,’ including grave war crimes. Whack him again, harder! 🙂

    • Are we going to make it to January? The rotten tangerine seems to be going for broke now, and I expect him to get there.

      • That is a good question, BAC. Our Winters are long in these parts, and God help us when heating fuel bills start up again. Mine has tripled in the last few years, and I use as little as possible, never mind the electricity, due to the “fuel surcharge” that has also more than doubled. The crooks in Congress (Dems and R’s) make millions off of war. The rest of us will be lucky to make it through the rest of the year, never mind 2027.

    • Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho would be a vast improvement as while he did not understand that Brawndo should not be used on crops, he did not start any wars. The beer signs and above ground pool would look better at the White House than the Orange Douche’s garish gold plating and his future “ba’alroom”. The House of Representin’ may have been owned by Carls Jr, Brawndo, and Flaturin but AIPAC did not appear to have any influence.

The world of Idiocracy would be an improvement, sadly.
