Funny that you mention the Elio in that 2016 article. It was obvious even then that the Elio was never going to happen. (My lovely bride is from Shreveport, so we followed the news there.)
A couple of months ago, I spotted a fellow wearing an Elio Motors t-shirt in northern NH. I asked him if he’d put money down on one. He said, “Yes, and all I got was a shirt. This is my thousand dollar shirt.”
