There’s an old hippie T shirt that reads: Don’t Take Drugs – Give Them to Me! A “hero” in the “war against drugs” took that message to heart – though not exactly.
Instead of giving the drugs, he took them – in more ways than just one.
According to news reports, Sacramento, CA Sheriff’s Deputy Marvin Morales “conducted a suspicious suspect stop” – whatever that is supposed to mean – and “found meth wrapped in tin foil in the man’s belongings.” The meth is an arbitrarily illegal drug and thus Morales was legally empowered to take them from the man as “evidence” of his “crime.” It is interesting that it is a “crime” in this country merely to possess a “drug” decreed to be illegal by the government. Has anyone else ever been harmed by some other person possessing a “drug”? Thousands of people were harmed – and some of them killed – by the legal drugs they were effectively forced to take in order to be allowed to take off their “masks” – but that’s not a crime, somehow.
Anyhow, the warrior in the war against some drugs not only takes the drugs – he literally took them, too.
Shortly after taking the drugs from the “suspicious” man, security cameras caught Deputy Morales “walking into the bathroom, where his unconscious body would be found moments later by a fellow deputy.”
As the Church Lady used to say: Isn’t that special?
“According to a report from the Sacramento Sheriff’s Office, while on duty and in full uniform, Deputy Morales intentionally smoked the drug in the restroom of the sheriff’s office. The substance turned out to be fentanyl. Deputy Morales reportedly smoked the drug out of a glass pipe that he also obtained on the job, and lied about disposing of months earlier. He would later admit that he took the pipe home and smoked the residue out of it three or four times, per authorities.“
One wonders how many other times “suspicious” people were relieved of their property – which is fundamentally what we’re talking about – so that the taker could enjoy that property himself.
Not just the arbitrarily illegal “drugs,” either.
There is this thing styled civil asset forfeiture – a legal crime that is regularly perpetrated by what is styled “law enforcement.” If you are found to have a “suspicious” amount of cash in your possession – the amount being any amount the ones who take it say is “suspicious” – then it is no longer your money. At least not until you prove to the satisfaction of those who took it on the basis of their “suspicions” that it is legally your money – i.e., not the proceeds of illegal activity – and that is up to them to decide.
And that’s just the legal crime.
How many people have been summarily relieved of cash as well as drugs by these “heroes” – who just took either or both and kept them for themselves? The people they accost are in a weak position, legally and otherwise. If they dare to object – let alone try to protect what’s theirs from being taken – it will be styled resisting and a “threat” to the “safety” of the “officer.”
It would be an easy thing to end most if not all of these depredations – as by making self-defense legal.
For everyone.
It is absurd that there is an exception to this rule when it comes to the sanctity of the persons of armed government workers. Put another way, it gives them an inducement to abuse people because those people are legally precluded from defending themselves, even against egregious seizures of their property that – if performed by a common street criminal – would be regarded by the law as criminal.
The job of a cop ought not be enforcing laws; that is a job for thugs. The NKVD and Red Guards enforced laws. So did the OrdnungsPolizei of National Socialist Germany.
The job of a cop ought to be protecting people’s rights, which means not taking their property. It ought to mean leaving them alone so long as they are leaving others alone.
That would be honorable work.

Ah Civil Asset Forfeiture… Last year I had to fight tooth and nail to prevent the police from stealing my revolver that my grandfather had given me when I was old enough. The officer stole the freaking holster, that never made it into evidence. They test fired it twice to check the pattern, and never cleaned it. I finally wrote enough emails and after several months was notified to come get it back. The cop behind the desk at property said “congratulations… most people never make it this far”
Hi Steve,
I might have gone gorilla over an affront such as that. Kudos to you for staying calm and getting it back. Also, glad to hear the mail arrived!
I don’t know if I’ve posted this before but last November Zerohedge put out an article about police seizing Fedex packages for cash. Here was one of the comments to that article, it will make your head spin:
True story: A few years ago I withdrew $14,000 cash from my bank to buy a pickup truck – completely legal transaction.
About 2 hours after that – after I had already handed over the cash and had the pickup I get a call from a neighbor friend of mine who is a federal agent. He asks me “did you withdraw $14K from the bank this morning?”. Shocked, I say “Yes I did”. He says “are you driving around with it?”
I said “No, I just bought a truck with it. Did you see me at the bank?”. He says “no, it just went out over the police wire that you withdrew that much cash and they are searching for your vehicle right now to confiscate it from you”. “What!??? Why would they confiscate my money?”. He says, “Because they can. The bank notifies the feds of a large withdrawal and they immediately try to get it from you. You should know never to withdraw that much money or carry it around with you. They will suspect you of being a drug dealer and confiscate it.”
That was 5 years ago or so. So much for being secure in your property…
Morning, Raymond –
This story does not surprise me. Civil asset forfeiture is even more evil that the unrealized capital gas tax they call “property taxes.” Just theft in honest language.
I bet he was the only one in this room qualified to take the drugs…

The Ordnungpolizei and Geheimestatzpolizei operated with far greater courtesy and professionalism that most current US law enforcement agencies.
That copper must have been a total moron – quite apart from wanting to consume drugs on the job – considering that meth and fentanyl/heroin not only look & smell & taste totally different from each other, but the effects are also at the very opposite part of the spectrum.
He’s lucky that fent gets destroyed by high temperatures. And it mustn’t have been overly pure, because it can kill at microgram (1 millionth of a gram) dosages.
How many others are there like him?
This is why all law enforcement should be White. Non-whites are criminal in their dna. Of course a hispanic “officer” is going to do the drugs he confiscates. Duh. And of course hispanic officers won’t turn their brethren over to ICE either. Make America White Again.
Trump, in his speech last night said he wants to impose an automatic death penalty on anyone who kills a cop. Apparently, there are no bad cops that I would need to defend myself against, ever. Whew, what a relief. Trump said it so it must be true.
In my state there is extra penalties for committing crimes against cops.
Therefore, cops should get extra penalties when they break the law.
And Trump, ever the bootlicker, doesn’t surprise me that he would suggest such a thing.
Wonder if he felt the same of the FBI agents that visited him in MaraLago?
If only Officer Morales had stuck to old-school devil weed, he at least could have phoned 911 for help like this bent cop did:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fanyDTOgetk
Hey, man … I think we’re parked!
So what’s the Morales of this story?
Post of the day, Raymond!
Smoking weed on the job is not a good idea. Smoking weed should only be done during down time, rest and relaxation, while listening to music.
I can guarantee you any laws passed or decrees made was claimed for our safety.
Orange man said “All Federal Funding will STOP for any College, School, or University that allows illegal protests,”
The president went on to say that “agitators” will either be imprisoned or permanently sent back to the country from which they came, adding that “American students will be permanently expelled or, depending on the crime, arrested.”
He didn’t specifically mention pro-Palestine protests in his post, but Trump has previously threatened to deport any student who took part in protests against Israel’s genocide of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. There goes the first…
Take the guns first then worry about due process… There goes the second…
The rest have been nullified by past administrations and troll legislators.
This from a man that supposedly is saving our country’s democracy? No,,, what he is doing,,, is protecting American Bolsheviks that now control this countries government.
Yes, he is doing a few decent things that should have been done years ago but that is called ‘misdirection’ in illusionist parlance.
>University that allows illegal protests
And exactly what is an “illegal protest?”
Inquiring minds want to know.
No copies of the Bill of Rights I have ever seen contain any asterisks which reference “qualifying” footnotes.
>Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Seems pretty clear, to me.
Exactly! Adi…
Cept clowngress of then had no idea of what types of assholes would be selected in our time. We got the USDA certified assholes.
Ya know,,, You have to wonder just how dirt stupid we are. Out in Texas, Texicans are freaking out over the measles. One death they say, course they didn’t test until after death so individual probably died ‘WITH’ the measles!. You remember folks in motorcycle wrecks dying WITH covid but that’s not what they said,,, they said covid killed him.
Yes,,, the disease that wasn’t real killed him. In Texas they say it’s been CONFIRMED! Here is part of the sequence the go through to test for measles. ALSO note they don’t tell you the TYPE of measles. Don’t listen to RFK,,, he is compromised. Hate to say that because I liked his Uncle….
The sequence they follow.
Immediately mask and isolate the patient in a room with a closed door (negative pressure room if available). Follow standard and airborne precautions.
Only allow health care workers with presumptive evidence of measles immunity* to attend the patient; they must use N-95 masks.
Evaluate the patient and order measles confirmatory testing (collect a throat or nasopharyngeal swab for RT-PCR and serum for IgM measles testing).
Contact infection control if available at your facility.
Notice RT-PCR? Their doing the same shit. Killing millions of chickens, turkeys, pigs, cows to limit our meat. These people need to be put in a hospital. They are sick!
RFK jr. has declared “anti-semitism™” to be a “health issue”. Sure sounds like the old jew-run Soviet Union which used mental hospitals to weed out and punish dissidents with a diagnosis of “oppositional defiance disorder”.
Holocaustianity™ is about to become an official state religion here in the USA, the First Amendment to the Constitution of the united States of America, be damned .
Florida governor DeSantis has already decreed that under state law school children are mandated to visit holocaustianity™ temples (actually JEWI$H freak shows). I’ll bet that there will not be a “opt-out” option for those who “do not believe”.
Witness the JEWI$H-run genocides in Gaza and the West Bank that are going on as we speak.
A suggestion for those with GUTS and the courage of their convictions:
Obtain and wear a Palestinian keffiyeh in public. You would be surprised how many JEW$ are attracted to it like moths to a flame. I have had the distinct pleasure of telling JEW$ who attempt to accost me for wearing a keffiyeh to “f#ck off and go to Palestine or Gaza where hopefully they will get their heads blown off”.
The incredulous looks on their faces is extremely rewarding.
You see, JEW$ are not used to “pushback” from those of us who are aware.
Try it, you’ll like it.
I am doing my part…
I’m plagued with a severe case of drapetomania.
Criticize a Jew.
Go to prison.
I can see the billboards now.
Allahu akbar.
Any protest not on GOVERNMENT property should be illegal. The constitution allows for protesting THE GOVERNMENT so protests must be at the capital not in the street or blocking normal life. So January 6th was the ONLY legal protest that’s been had in 50 years or more.
You are dead wrong.
Protests must be permitted in ANY public place.
I agree that those protesters who disrupt traffic on a public road should be prosecuted for impeding lawful traffic but NOT for protesting itself.
Protests are as American as apple pie.
As to your assertion that the Constitution ALLOWS protests is also dead wrong. The Constitution allows nothing but is (supposed to be) a bulwark against the government itself. The Constitution begins with “Congress shall make NO LAW”…
The Constitution is a charter of negative rights, restricting to government from certain actions. The PEOPLE are not supposed to be restricted.
You might want to educate yourself about American Constitutional principles.
Regards,
If they want to protest by the side of the road, fine.
If they want to protest in the road, and co-ordinate in advance with the police & city hall so they can block off the area & direct traffic, fine.
If they want to protest in the road without making any kind of arrangements they should be arrested before they get themselves hit by a bus (which they deserve but I’m too nice of a guy to be the one to do it — even though pain tends to make a person smarter).
Hi Publius,
Anyone who deliberately walks into the road in front of traffic that has the right of way forfeits their right to not be run over. If they are, it’s on them.
This business of standing in the path of traffic is aggressive and reckless and all the consequences ought to be borne by those who decide to behave that way.
Stop Oil Now would stop tomorrow if the cars didn’t stop anymore.
I made the same argument on the thread of a liberal friend of mine. One of his TDS buddies asked for proof and I posted a link to an article on his truth [sic] social post. He came back with “Oh, Trump’s tweet. Sounds about right”.
These people are flippin’ clueless dolts. The right can’t see his tyranny and the left won’t believe anything he says.
This country is screwed.
Poor cop. That must have been a really traumatic experience to go through. He needs some counseling, a raise, and a six month paid sabbatical, so that he can recover fully.
Yes. See, he’s just a victim of the stress of his heroic work up to that point. A career of selflessness finally took it’s toll and he succumbed to the temptation of drugs to numb his pain. Godspeed to that hero. (For the bots and those on the spectrum, I say this with sarcasm)
Right, six months of “administrative leave”, aka paid vacation; too bad that’s not an option for us mere mortals if we f*ck up on our jobs.
And, had he died we’d see a funeral that would embarrass a North Korea Dictator. Such a fallen hero and the anguish he must have felt as he died in the stall. The trauma for his family who wouldn’t have his “cop voice” yelling at them 24/7.
And why is his crotch pixelated? Was he in the middle of makin’ the scene with a magazine?
Pff, haha, I use the same move to stretch the quads before working out.
Must’ve been some good shit if it causes you to fold in place like that.
Being in his position as an “authority figure” must’ve deluded his mind into thinking he could do no wrong. He must not have learned what I did in my early days of substance experimentation: You always start with the smallest amount of a new substance or a substance from a new source because you never could be sure of the identity or potency.
In his case, and especially these days, he could’ve and should’ve at least done a fentanyl test. Maybe he learned a valuable lesson here.
But I’m sure that the one lesson he didn’t learn was to not harass others and take their property. It’s no one’s business what you possess until you cause harm to others with said possession.
Thats it. Enforcement of laws should be viewed through the lens of No harm, No foul.
What’s worse Norman is that, if this cop had killed himself here, I could see them trying to charge the guy they stole the dope from with homicide. Stupid? Ludicrous? Yes. But these days, I could see them at least giving it a shot.
As Judge Napoletano states; It is not the job of government to keep you safe but to keep you free.
Here is the latest from the Civil Rights Lawyer of a police officer in San Diego hears gun shots and then kills the first person he sees who was fleeing the gun shots. Nice work Sherlock.

I was standing in a local bar one day some 40 years ago when I heard a local woman’s voice declare, “We don’t want any drugs we have to say ‘no’ to.”
Just say no, it’s easy.
You have to speak out against the madness.
“Just say no” is a little bit naive.
Drug use (any addiction, really) is pretty much a maladaptive, unhealthy coping mechanism.
Figure out what underlies that, fix it, and the drug use will pretty much stop itself.
What are these people trying to escape? Better not try to answer questions like that, it might upset a lot of applecarts. Yes the person in question has agency. I don’t blame them for having a weakness, we’re all weak somewhere, but I certainly give an enormous of credit to those who find or develop the strength to overcome it.
I’ll never understand how the average American’ continues to support and tolerate these goons.
This happened in California, where only the cops are allowed to have “assault weapons” and you average people cannot buy ammo without government permission… cops are exempt, naturally.
Since the article does not say he died I believe there are many valid cases for firing his ass:
1- theft
2- use of a controlled substance while on duty
3- breach of trust
Need I go on? No sh*ts to give and no sympathy for him either.
Another old saying, “Cops have the best weed.”
But, it doesn’t stop there.
A guy I went to high school with got a job as a vice cop in Akron, OH. He used to brag about how he could pick up a hooker, get laid, then instead of paying her, whip out his badge and bust her. This was in the early 70’s.
An uncle of mine was on the same force starting in the 50’s. He used to move cars back and forth from Chicago. Why? I don’t know. But, he would laugh that he drove over 100mph on the Ohio Turnpike while consuming a case of beer on the trip. Uncle Harry never got busted.
When has being a cop ever been an honorable profession?
Reminds me of the cops in the film, ‘Superbad’.
Instead of a comedy, I guess it was a documentary?
