We hear that term – officer safety – a lot. It’s interesting because the last thing most of us feel when we seen an “officer” in our rearview mirrors is “safe.”
Why is that?
Well, it’s basically for the same reason that a chicken doesn’t feel safe when it notices a hawk perched on a branch above the coop. It’s a predator vs. prey situation. And that is exactly the situation.
When you see an “officer” hiding in a cutout by the side of the road you know he is not looking for criminals. He is awaiting his prey. People who “speed” and who do not have the required (and up to date) ear tags displayed. Who are not wearing a seat belt and other such made-up offenses that involve no criminality because they involve no harm done to anyone else or even the person who is “pulled over” by the “officer.”
Those terms are also interesting.
Both have a soft mouth feel to them. “Pulled over” sounds almost gentle and “officer” makes it sound respectable. In fact, the “officer” is a heavily armed agent of the state who is legally permitted to threaten you with extreme repercussions if you decline to “pull over.” So that he can go over your “papers” – which you are obliged to provide – and go over your vehicle, notwithstanding that ancient business about no searches or seizures except when there is probable cause to suspect a crime has been committed. Nonetheless, you will be treated as if you were a criminal in that you will be punished for whatever offense the “officer” claims you have committed.
He will hand you a piece of paper – a “ticket” – which sounds soft, too. Of course, this thing they call a “ticket” is basically an extortion note. It says you must hand over a sum of money – including, naturally, “court costs.” As if it cost the court money to extract your money. No street mugger ever charged a fee for his services. Street muggers being more honest than that.
If you fail to hand over the money – the process is sanitized via officiousness in that you send in the piece of paper with a check and it is all duly processed as if it were a legitimate transaction – you will become a “criminal” in that you are now subject to what is called “arrest” if found to be driving your car. This becomes a “crime” since your state-granted privilege to drive on the government’s roads will have been rescinded for not handing over the money. Your car may become the state’s car as it can be “impounded” – meaning seized by the state – and auctioned off (for the benefit of the state) if you fail to pay the “impound fees” (i.e., the extortion demanded as the price of returning your car to you) in addition to the “fines” plus “court costs” imposed for the original “offense” that involved no harm done to anyone else.
Everyone understands the implicit threat in the rearview mirror. Or lurking by the side of the road. No one feels “safe” when they see an “officer” – except perhaps those foolish enough to believe that “officers” are there to keep them “safe.” There are also chickens who lack the healthy instinct of prey animals to be on alert when they become aware of the presence of a predator.
Such chickens end up as supper for hawks.
Imagine a scenario in which “officers” did not concern themselves with offenses but only with criminals – the latter defined as people who’ve deliberately acted in such a way as to cause harm to others, thereby victimizing them. No one is “victimized” by some other person electing to not wear a seatbelt or not having state-required ear tags (i.e., “inspection” and registration” decals) displayed. Nor by driving faster than the speed limit – which is not a holy commandment. It is just a number displayed on a sign and everyone knows that ignoring it does not necessarily or even usually cause harm to follow. Because everyone – “officers” included “speeds” and everyone does it almost every day without any harm resulting.
In such a scenario, “officers” would become something more like peace officers – and then only criminals would feel “unsafe” in their presence.
As opposed to all of the rest of us.

We’ve got those retarded speed cameras here. My kid got two tickets in less than a month. At least the cop by the side of the road means some cars will make it through!
Rattlecan.
Rattlesnakes, Nissan Altimas and cops…..if you spot ANY of these 3 things, HEED IMMEDIATE & EXTREME CAUTION, do not make eye contact, steer clear and let them continue on their way.
Why would you do that to rattlers? They are productive and useful.
The police are tax collectors period. They have no duty to protect the public hence they are brave when confronting women and old people being waylaid for traffic violations but cowards when real crime is afoot. The police look at society as *us vs them* same way Islamic terrorist look at non-Muslims. They are no better.

I stopped using “pulled over” and now call it waylaid.
Preaching to the choir. What do you propose to change any of this? Paw your hoof in disagreement on election day? Sure, that’s been a winning option. Decide to be a sovereign citizen and choose to insert your own reality? They’ll Waco you. Really, what is the solution? Move to another country? Name it. This assumes you want not to die as an unknown martyr on principles along some God forsaken road somewhere..
I don’t think looking for a simple solution is the right focus. I think EP is just trying to identify the truth and understand the euphemisms being used to hide the truth.
Never ever forget that every government is founded upon its assumption of authority to kill you if you disobey. That “officer” in your rearview is the paid agent of that authority, so no wonder they make us nervous. They might kill us.
Don’t forget City Hall.
The cops mostly just do as they are told, how they are to do it (for the most part…it’s too easy to go rogue but I digress).
City Hall hires these idiots, and sets the policies, and passes (some of the) laws to be “enforced.”
The cops do the enforcing, and “enforce” against the basically law-abiding instead of criminals because it’s easier.
The voters elect City Hall, and put up with all the shenanigans, and do nothing to see that it is fixed, and put blue line flag stickers on their cars and meekly pay their tickets when they get pulled over for BS.
Everyone is guilty.
It is amazing to watch people vote to enslave themselves and then speak about how wonderful it is:
– Our mayor / city council are great!
– Our poLICE protect us!
– City government does so much for us!
I’ve just about given up trying to convince the retards around me that there are serious issues with the way government functions.
If you want it fixed, start at home & work your way up.
Stop wishing for a strongman at the top to kick ass and set everyone straight. There are plenty of people out there who are more than willing to oblige…and that is a very accessible road, right into the center of hell.
Vermin Supreme is 100% correct when he says that we have forgotten how to be citizens (no one listens to him either, he’s just some wacko who wears a boot on his head…)
This is why no self-respecting driver should have a problem with defunding the police.
Let’s not forget that American police officers receive “training” that is borne and bred in israel (occupied Palestine) of all places.
“Escalation of force” doctrine has been replaced with israeli-style “command and control” doctrine in which immediate, unwavering compliance with an officer’s demands is not only expected but demanded under threat of loss of life.
Today’s American police departments are extensions of the IOF (israel occupation forces) in which orange man has not only resumed giving them military equipment but has also promised to extend greater immunity to these predators.
Observe the double standard regarding the operation of devices within police vehicles, from computers and cell-phones and other distractions, we are told that police are “specially trained” to operate these devices while driving (yeah, right). Window tints (which are illegal for the rest of us) along with subdued graphics (which hides their identity from the rest of us) are also examples of the double standard that exists within American policing.
Since the First Amendment is being obliterated upon demands from jewish interests, We are all Palestinians and Gazans, now…
‘Of course, this thing they call a
“ticket”“tariff” is basically an extortion note.’ — ericPresident Donald J Fubar, by the authority vested in him as Pooch Screwer in Chief, issues another imperial ukase:
‘On Sunday evening, President Donald Trump announced that he plans to impose a 100% tariff on films produced overseas, extending his restrictive trade policies on US imports to the entertainment sector for the first time.
‘In a post on Truth Social, the American leader said he was directing the Commerce Department and his trade representative to “immediately begin the process of instituting” the levy on foreign movies. “WE WANT MOVIES MADE IN AMERICA, AGAIN!” Trump continued.’

Trumpy Bear seems unaware that there’s this thing called streaming, where video can enter the country by fiber optic cable without Customs goons having the slightest say about it.
Donnie’s just paying his debt to the nice, all-American folks who run the movie industry — even though 90 percent of them are hardball leftists. Who’s the mayor of Tinseltown?
Last night I drove the truck to Amarillo
Some friends and I, we had a laugh or two
But lately we don’t cut up like we used to
‘Cause all that I can think about is you
Well, I hope you make the big time
I hope your dreams come true
But if Hollywood don’t need you
Honey, I still do

RE: “Trumpy Bear seems unaware that there’s this thing called streaming”.
Or, he’s quite aware, & an “Internet gate-keeper” is the solution to the problem created by … and, round & round it goes…
Also, been thinkin’ lately how the word, ‘ticket’ is used in some parts of the country to describe the paper recite a cashier gives you when you buy something at the store.
…I wonder what they call this other ‘ticket’?

Hey, hey, Donnie J
How many stocks did you crash today?
You forgot the biggest one: You are compelled to provide a medical sample, either breath or blood, on demand and at any time. There doesn’t even need to be suspicion, just happen to be on a certain street where they happen to be conducting mass testing. If you turn away you might get followed and further compelled to comply, this time with the assumption you must be under the influence and therefore attempted to evade detection.
In Colorado, if you outright refuse you automatically surrender your driving privilege. In order to get your privilege back you must install a breathalyzer in your vehicle, carry high risk insurance and pay reinstatement fees. Your vehicle will probably be impounded at the time of the stop and you’ll need to go through all that too. The towing companies that worth with the police charge top dollar because they know they have you over a barrel. And after all that, your “conviction” will show on your driving record forever, which might prevent you from getting a job that requires driving fleet vehicles.
For crying out loud, stop yet bitchin’ about roadside checkpoints.
Either vote harder and change the law or move (good luck) to a place where roadside checkpoints are deemed unconstitutional and/or don’t exist.
Don’t bring your shitty voting and tolerance for tyranny to the new place!
On second thought, it’s better that ya all just stay where yer’ at.

For crying out loud, stop yet bitchin’ about others identifying injustice.
Those “bitchin'” about injustice educate others about the injustice, which causes people to object to and vote against the injustice.
One competent sniper could do more to end checkpoints than all the complainers in the world.
Officer safety is an oxymoron.
What if Benjamin Netanyahu is the officer? The Welcome Wagon didn’t send a welcome postcard to Bibi’s address.
Think Bibi when an officer of the law is approaching you from his brand new patrol car.
Getting leg-swept then face-planted is not protecting you, you can die.
The Civil Rights Lawyer gathers the evidence and then tells the real story.
One hundred percent accurate and honest article. Why do the police go after regular citizens instead of criminals? Criminals might object violently to being harassed and even if they don’t it costs GovCo money to incarcerate criminals. GovCo wants your money and is not interested in arresting criminals as it costs them money.
For example; if GovCo actually went after criminal use of firearms such that criminals were afraid to use them based on serious penalty’s and jail time it would be harder to convince the public that the old guy with guns who just wants to be left alone is the problem.
When people talk about “Our Police” it would be more accurate to describe them as “The Politicians Police” as they don’t go after politicians they go after the general public.
