Are They Lying to Us About Inflation?

The government lies about almost literally everything, except perhaps what time it is – and probably it would lie about that, too, if it served the government’s purposes. So why do most of us believe that inflation – the waning buying power of the money we’re forced to use by the government – is what it says it is?

Here’s what I know and so can attest to:

When I was a high school kid back in the ’80s, I worked part-time at McDonald’s. The minimum wage back them was $3.35, which meant that an eight hours shift put just shy of $27 in my pocket. Actually, less – because that’s gross. Even high school kids earning minimum wage get FICA (Social Security) and other federal taxes “withheld” as the government likes to style seizing some of the money you’ve earned before you even get to hold it in your hand for a moment.

Anyhow, I recall working two weekend shifts as well as a a couple of afternoons after school, so something like 24 hours a week. This grossed me about $80 per week. The interesting thing to me, as I recall those days, is that I was able to buy gas for the Omacar – the name given my rusty but trusty ’78 Camaro and things like a set of Keystone Classic mags and glass pack mufflers for it, too. My friends were able to do similar and we “cruised” on Friday nights, hanging out in the parking lot of the McDonald’s where I worked part-time, after school and weekends.

We could easily afford to eat at McDonald’s, too.

I think about those days and wonder how managed to afford the gas we burned as we cruised around on Friday nights and never mind the mag wheels and glass packs for our V8 powered old cars. The Omacar had a 21 gallon tank, much larger than the tank of the typical late-model anything that isn’t a huge SUV (such as the Chevy Tahoe I recently reviewed) or a big truck. Most new/late-model cars and crossovers carry about 12-15 gallons of gas.

I remember that if I had $10 in my pocket, I could buy half a tank of gas. That half-tank took me about four hours to earn working for the Clown. A week’s worth of working part-time for the Clown earned me enough to keep gas in the Omacar and have enough left over to buy speed parts, such as glasspack mufflers, a set of headers and so on after a few weeks of working and saving up to buy them.

Such teenage affluence seems inconceivable to me today. The minimum wage is now just shy of five times as high, but it doesn’t seem to buy as much as $3.35 per hour did back then. How many teenagers today can afford to spend $60 on a tankful of gas for a V8 hot rod working part-time for the Clown, even if they’re being paid $15 per hour? I have not seen any V8 hot rods owned by teenagers parked at the McDonald’s in let’s just say a long time.

I have written before about my first house, which I bought back in the mid-1990s in Northern Virginia for $155k. Today, that same house would list for more than $600k, according to my realtor friend who sells similar houses in the same neighborhood. Now, here’s a way to more accurately measure what they’re lying to us about.

When I plug what I paid for my first house into the government’s so-called “inflation calculator,” it says that $155k back then is equivalent in cost to just shy of $315 today. Whey then is a house like my old house a $600k house today? What accounts for the nearly $300k difference in cost?

Channeling the Church Lady: Could it be . . . inflation? That is to say, the waning value of what a dollar buys today vs. yesterday?

It sure seems that way.

Eating at McDonald’s has become a kind of near-luxury dining experience that the parents of today’s teens are having a time paying for. How many 17-year-olds can afford a $40 bag of fast food? How many can afford a car, at all? How many adults can afford their first house? If the stats are correct – about the average of first-time home buyers being well into middle aged – then the answer is not many.

Yes, they are lying to us, again.

As Dr. Evil used to say, it’s what they do.

  1. The 16th amendment (income tax) and the formation of the Federal Reserve, both 1913, were the end of the American republic. Done. Dead. Fini.

    • Morning, Greg –

The “Federal” Reserve (and income tax) certainly contributed mightily to our enserfment. A century later, we are indeed enserfed. Most of us will never be independent – financially – which is why we can never be independent, otherwise. The tax on property assures this.

    • Don’t forget Amendment XVII, popular election of Senators. ‘Federal’ meant that states, via their Senators appointed by state legislatures, had a veto over fedgov power grabs — until 1913.

Our fake & gay ‘fedgov’ is not federal (or even legitimate) anymore. Shut the sucker down. And arrest the hundred felonious impostors falsely posing as ‘Senators.’

  2. Eric, I would say that the government is lying to us about the time, at least half the time, when they sanctioned the use of Daylight Saving(s) Time. Everybody knows that’s fake time, since the Sun is not directly overhead at mid-day, as it is in Standard (Real) Time.

  3. I also think we’re being lied to about not only inflation, but unemployment. A quick visit to LinkedIn shows people in my network who’ve been out of work for a year…sometimes more.

The “official” unemployment rate doesn’t account for:

-People whose unemployment benefits have run out
-People who are underemployed (working part time, working jobs below their skill level, working in the gig economy, etc.
-People who are misemployed (people with college degrees in even worthwhile subjects working jobs they could have gotten without even a high school diploma)
-People who are unhappily employed (working a job with low pay, poor working conditions, or toxic management)
-People who have dropped out of the workforce (gone on welfare/disability, living in their parents’ basements)

If you include those, the “real” unemployment rate is north of 20 percent, and in some areas, north of 50 percent.

    • I can second that Bryce,
My son, who is 44, lost his job late last year and is still looking to find full time employment. He has used an agency to get the occasional short term contract but most full time positions have hundreds of applicants for each one. Word is that companies prefer to hire kids straight out of college so they can pay them less plus get a DEI hire. Fortunately his wife has a good paying job but it does crimp their lifestyle and he’s really getting bummed out about the whole situation.

  4. Ynet headline: “GHF: New system will allow Gazans to order aid packages in advance” The program was launched yesterday in the Saudi neighborhood in Rafah (the location of the concentration camp they want all Gazans to move to after they razed Rafah) and is expected to gradually expand. ..According to the foundation, the process will take place online, and participants will receive an ID card with their photo and a unique number, thus preventing “rushing for aid.” It was also reported that “the system allows direct communication with families regarding distribution times, special deliveries and urgent updates.”
    https://www.ynetnews.com/article/j44778ja0
Lie: UN has weapons for Hamas in their aid. Truth: US and Israel reduced aid sites in Gaza from 400 to four and now if you want FOOD (which includes NO MEAT) you must have a PHOTO ID. I wonder if they are going to chip the Gazans or tattoo numbers on their arms.

  5. Not to mention the magic 30 dollar figure.
Everything seemed to revolve around 30 dollars to keep an old Ford or Chevy up.
A new starter? 30 dollars. Water pump? Thirty dollar. New battery 30 dollar.
Even a nice steak at a restaurant wasn’t over 30.
That was real cheddar back then but it was doable.
    Nowadays, not so much.
And inflation is only part of it.
See the 6000 dollar that GM makes that is only available to Chinese citizens. Or the price of REAL 5g mobile plans available to Chinese or Indian citizens.. (7 to 12 dollars a month).
    But we will take it.
    Until we dont.

  6. Of course they’re lying to us. It seems like it must be part of their charter or something. Few things in the supermarket have gone down and although I consider Trump to be the lesser of two evils (ideally, no overlords at all), theres nothing he can or will do.

I believe that decades of abuse have broken things to the point that’s even if they don’t get worse, they’re definitely not getting better.

I’m still paying over 3 bucks a gallon for what goes in my wife’s Honda and much more for my fun cars which require higher octane.

What happened to “drill baby, drill”, etc?

If I don’t feel it in my pocket, then whatever feel good Hopium message Scott Bessent vomits onto the airwaves is literally the same as the Biden fuckos who gaslight and tell you not to believe your lying eyes.

Color me fucking disappointed and shame on me for buying into all this voting bullshit. I’m 53, I should know better by now.

    • Amen, Lord James –

I should have known better by now, too. I think I finally do. Trump is just the latest front man for the entities that really run things. He is Hulk Hogan to Vince McMahon.

      • You do realize Linda McMahon is now Secretary of “Education” as a reward for helping fund the Orange Fail’s installation . . . Right?

It’s all kayfabe. The sheeple eat it up.

  7. I use the 1964 dime standard to track inflation. The 90% silver content of a 1964 dime equals 2.75 fed bux today. That means a gallon of gas is 11¢ in my neighborhood (Michigan) and 9¢ in Lake Jackson, Texas, where we celebrated Ron Paul’s 90th birthday last week.
In real money, gasoline, food and housing have never been cheaper. Measured against a 1933 gold dollar, gasoline is 2¢ per gallon. This is what they have stolen from us.

    • Right on!

Not one man in 1000 understands the implications of not having sound money.

There is always some Jamoke shaking his fist at the clouds ranting about back when gas used to be $0.30/gallon.

Never dawns on them that was 3 silver dimes that they were paying with.

The government schools have done a marvelous job of dumbing down the population and teaching them to measure things relative to the fiat Dollar.

  8. The housing musical chairs here in WA has stopped. Houses in my Central WA ‘hood 1 year ago never made it to market. Now, three are for sale and nothing. 100 days, price cut $22k still no sale. Another one, price cut $36k market time 45 days nope!
This hood and another east of town are the only two “go to” neighborhoods everyone likes so if they don’t sell here then the real estate market is toast. Sorry folks your 3/4 mil dream pricing is now gone.

    • The United States used to be on a gold standard and homes cost $2000. Then the Rothschild central bank was created, the Federal Reserve – which is a big inflation engine – and home prices started an endless climb in boom and bust cycles.

With each boom – buying homes to beat inflation – became a way of life. Books, TV shows, how to get rich flipping homes. The current housing boom, called Housing Bubble 2.0 has yet to bust – because bullish price optimism became so extreme – no one believes (or will sell) at greatly reduced prices – thus home inventory has spiked.

      https://www.housingmarketbubble.com/blog/post/housing-bubble-2-0

But the market must settle all trades … eventually. What happens is inventory builds up, no bids, but distressed sales must be sold – so extremely low bids settle the trade – then the panic starts – home prices edge lower – sales still marginal – until the watershed moment – the bust. All those speculators, who are loaded up with leveraged trades (multiple houses bought on no money down) will be forced to dump to get out of their trade.

It’s going to happen any day now. The potential trigger is a rise of mortgage rates to 8%.

      • I remember an investing book from the ‘80s:

“Today’s blue chips can become tomorrow’s buffalo chips”

The housing real estate racket isn’t immune. Like you say, “must settle all trades” yep that hard reality comes a knockin’. It has crossed my mind, first who has the money to buy this way overpriced real estate ( now very few) and also as the boomers head for the dirt nap (pig in the python is heading for the exit) there is going to be a glut of boomer homes and where are the buyers for all those? My kid and fam already have a decent home, they won’t need this one.

        • Hi Sparkey –

I am glad I do not think of my house as an “investment” but rather a place to live; I think that this business of encouraging people to think of their houses as “investments” – things to be “flipped” and so on – has played a big part in the artificially induced increase in the cost of homes. It’s sad and it pisses me off to think that people who are the same age today I was back in the mid-’90s, when I bought my first little house, cannot afford a house and likely never will. No wonder they’re pissed – and depressed.

          Me, too.

          • I know it’s easy to get in the doom loop but my buddy’s kid is 22. He’s married to his high school sweetheart.

They are both industrious and hustlers. They saved enough to buy a $220k fixer upper house in a decent neighborhood and are renovating it themselves.

I have no sympathies for 30 year old Marxist’s that can’t afford new homes with quartz countertops.

            • The issue in a libtard controlled area ( or whole state like WA, OR, CA) is the “decent neighborhood “ issue. Anyone here paying attention has already sized up the ‘hoods and the decent ones flat out won’t have anything affordable for the youngins’ fix up project. It’s a shame but “affordable “ especially Western WA Puget Sound area comes with “vibrancy” you won’t want your precious offspring exposed to.

            • I agree with that BID –

Were I that age again, I’d do something unconventional such as buy an old/cheap van and live in for a few years to save money. Get a cheap gym membership/YMCA for showers and such. The main advice I give is to not buy into debt.

              • The “job shoppers” in aerospace, smart ones willing to rough it a bit would live out of small class C motor homes or even a truck mounted camper- I’d heard stories of the company letting them stay in the parking lot way back when.

These vagabonds would make somewheres near 3 times our rate but no medical or retirement they worked for the job shoppers company. However when young what a deal, save loads of cash then on to the next gig.

        • Amen Sparkey,

Fedzillas ZIRP cocaine is a helluva drug. And even though I agree with you, Blackrock stands in the wings ready to deploy their ill gotten gains, propping up the Ponzi. God forbid they experience an hour or day of pain in the overlong timeline of their lives.

        • Who will buy?
          Black rock.
          Pennies on the dollar too.
It will give everybody affordable RENTALS.
Subsidized by uncle scam of course.

        • The buyers will continue to be corporate “investors”
and private equity. This isn’t going to stop until every last person is squeezed out of their house. Wall street has brought the gambling casino to the housing market. The reason it won’t stop is that the stock market keeps rising and rising. No end in sight. Liquidity and easy money benefitting large corporations and stock holders has its advantages.

  9. Of course GovCo is lying to us. The bigger problem is that the people fail to hold politicians to account for spending more money than they take in. Perhaps that is why schools do not teach financial planning or civics, a dumbed out populace is easier to control.

Prepare for the future while you can is the best advice I can give.

    • I saw that article as well. It confirms the lie that is/was the American dream, and the Ponzi that Real estate and social security is. It was the best of times ever for the boomers. Even us Gen Xers had a pretty good run. Makes me sad for everyone under 4O when I read stuff like that. Actually, it pisses me TF off to the point of wanting to go all Howard Beale, except with guns blazing out the windows. Alas, I’m sure I’d be the only one, reinforcing the fact that is not time yet. When in fact its well past time.

      • Hey Norman,

Too often these days, the spirit is not “I’m mad as hell!”, but more a languishing acceptance, wherein “There’s nothing I can do about anything, so why should I try?”.

I guess there is a certain utility in that. Oh, it pisses me off to no end, but the FICA and tax money that was stolen from me isn’t coming back. I was never just going to work for a corporation for 40 years following college, working my way up some fatuous hierarchy as my boomer parents had recommended, to finally be given a retirement party by people who at best tolerated me. I would never find a “good pension” or “security”.

My only chance at satisfaction would be to pursue an American Dream that would be considered wildly unconventional by most standards. So be it. And the generations following me are desperately trying anything they can to get anywhere, even though most avenues yield pitiful rewards. Outright rebellion might not be fathomable yet, but even the most hopeless and hapless, when left with nothing left to lose, might do anything to gain.

        • Hey BaDnon,

You’re quite right. A good job has been done in demoralizing many younger Heritage Americans. But everyone has a breaking point and the more the PTB bear down, the more they sow their own personal destruction. The American dream for many now is just being left alone. At least thats my version of it. I’m all for a smaller, leaner country that focuses on bettering ourselves and minds our own business. I just want the outcome decided by nature and natural selection, not Palanter.

          • Being left alone is certainly my priority as well, Norman. Unfortunately, so many people believe that bettering themselves means minding OUR business. But push WILL eventually come to shove.

      • I wouldn’t categorize my 40 year career in dead end job situations a good run. Being under the thumb of early boomers for the first 25 years of my “career” hasn’t been a cakewalk. I don’t wish them any ill will, but I won’t be paying them any visits at the care home either. It has been a run. I’m running the clock until I’m 65. I don’t want to work any more. I have 10 good year left. No one is going to visit me either

        • Same here, Rat. Just running out the clock, tired of being the good guy who keeps things running and profitable while watching every color other than white and every “gender” other than man be rewarded with promotions and rewards.

The real problems coming as gen X starts checking out is/are the institutionalized incompetence and the fact that younger guys have seen what valuable skills gets you and have chosen easier paths. There is nothing that can stop the fall from grace for Merica

      • The American dream has been grossly misrepresented by the same good /s folks who gave us red Republicans and blue Democrats.

The real American dream is to be independent, your own man, beholden to no boss or bureaucrat. To have a business of your own, or at least a job as opposed to a career. To own your stuff outright. To have the ability to singly or in groups tell the various governments to shove their rules and regulations.

        That’s the American dream.

        • That’s a proper definition, Ernie!

I guess, even more succinctly, the American Dream is (should be) self-determination. Or perhaps the American Way, as Superman might say.

But you have it exactly correct. Somehow, many people have perverted that Dream to mean something about “democracy”. When it comes to matters of my own life, I don’t want a vote. If I must collaborate on some matter, then perhaps certain matters might require a vote when it comes to the use of shared resources.

But in general, a private life and private property means that “democracy” stays the fuck out of my business. Ever more rare is that.

  10. Everything will be fine as long as inflation isn’t greater than 5% or more per year. We all saw what happened when inflation hit 10% a while ago. The government(shepherds) don’t want to panic the herd. We will obey unless of course you want to live like a hermit

I remember gas at 29 cents a gallon back in the late 60’s. There were chain hamburger joints back where you could buy a hamburger for 15 cents. But those were only about an eight of a pound and not like the quarter pounder that McD’s came up with shortly after. A quarter pounder and Whopper cost about 6 dollars these days but of course they are larger. The scientists are working hard in their food laboratories creating delicious and tasty foods to keep us eating and drinking ever more. People did not eat as much back then. Nowadays it is nothing to see 300 hundred pounders riding around in electric carts. People are getting bigger and heavier and it takes a lot of calories to keep those weights up. Everything is expanding. In about a thousand years based on current trajectories the humans will be as big as dinosaurs and remember what happened to them.

    • The microplastics in food and the stored toxins cause people to eat more.

I wish I could remember the 29 cents a gallon. I was only 5…. I do remember the got-damned gasoline crunch. That’s when things began to get shitty. But it didn’t really start getting bad until the 1980s.

High Fructose Corn Syrup in everything
      Just Say No
      Crap music
      Reaganomics
      War on Drugs
      The list goes on

      • Hi Swamp!

I remember noticing HFC becoming the main sweetener in most store-bought stuff (especially soda) in the mid-late ’80s. Remember New Coke? I have argued for years that this was a ruse designed to get people to accept Classic Coke – with HFC. Old Coke had cane sugar.

  11. Inflation continues, as always, because that is how the debt is paid. Those leveraged in debt benefit, those working for dollars get screwed. It is a huge transfer of wealth from the poor to the rich. It will continue until the bond market revolts, sending interests higher, and those in debt will have to pay more to borrow. Since borrowing is the engine which drives the economy the Orange Turd wants lower rates – and threatens to remove Jerome Powell if he doesn’t do what the Orange Turd wants.

The Orange Turd has no morals and wants inflation, the debasement of currency the most immoral thing a nation can do to it’s slaves, outside of killing them in wars. Orange Turd loves deficit spending and inflation – yet promises to lower prices. Uh huh! Orange Turd’s IQ must be 66.6

With PPI exploding upwards, lowering rates will start pumping inflation to higher levels – and in theory the bond market rates will have to go up to keep pace.

    https://wolfstreet.com/2025/08/14/core-services-ppi-explodes-worst-since-march-2020-causes-overall-ppi-and-core-ppi-to-explode/

But with $37 trillion in debt, that is constantly rolled over, higher rates is catastrophic. Thus the conundrum caused by the government itself – just like the Ukraine war, which was started when the ZOG overthrew the elected leader of Ukraine in 2015 (Maiden Coup) – leading to war – which Trump is now in a panic to stop.

The USA was using Ukraine as a proxy to topple Russia, it backfired, now Ukraine is losing territory. Lions, tigers, and Russian Bears oh my! ZOG’s long term plan to collapse Russia and steal their resources has failed. In policy papers the plan was to balkanize Mother Russia. Now Russia is adding territory.

The Jew plan to make Ukraine into a new Khazar utopia has failed. Total panic in Jew whore DC. The big joke is that little gay twerp satrap Zelensky, in his fag army green t-shirt, refuses to compromise. What a joke it all is, Trump allows some piano dick to tell him off in the White House. If Trump was a real leader he would make an example of Zelensky and have the CIA removal team terminate him with extreme prejudice – thus sending the message to the other EU twerps, like Macron (who is married to his father) to fall in line.

So long as we are ruled by immoral and reckless turds, Jews, and other scum, the crisis will continue. Endless crisis is caused by mismanagement. The situation is now so bad it is unsolvable – a permanent out of control death spiral. I refuse to listen to any of them, Orange Turd’s endless threats and proclamations bore me.

Endless crisis will only get worse. War! Inflation! Jewish privilege! Police State repression! Cars that suck! Orange Turd will climb turd mound and declare himself King Shit of the World! “I am the greatest biggest piece of orange shit ever!”

    • So true about Z, the Khazarian clown. Hard to believe a so called sovereign state such as US allows such a low rent POS to even speak to us in such a manner as her does. Although I generally agree with you YJ on the issue of jews and their civilizational destroying shenanigans, I’ve come to the conclusion that our real greatest misfortune is our support and alliance with the UK.

London is the epicenter for the collapse of the western world. Its ground zero for all the vile immigrant filth being allowed to ruin White society. The Brits themselves are too far gone to do anything about it. Let London become the habitation of devils, foul spirits, and unclean birds spoken of in ancient stories. Let the war mongers cast dust on their heads, Anyone crying over her loss should be bitched slapped about the head and neck until they come back to their senses.

If someone nuked Ole Blighty tomorrow, I give my word as my bond, I’d take a thousand DollahDolahBills to the local downtown watering hole and buy drinks for everyone until the money ran out. It would become a day of celebration having the jack boot of Rothschild removed from the neck of humanity.

      • I agree, the City of London should be nuked, as well as Tel Aviv, NYC, D.C., etc. The problem is that those who have control of the nukes are in bed with the perps. But there is always hope that the Jewish centers of power cross Russia’s final red line and they get lit up with Sarmat 2 MIRVs.

  12. Somewhat related to this article…… My jobs at local restaurants (between ages 15-18) paid for the above-mentioned cruising around, going to the movies (drive in) almost every week, and going to concerts (national acts) 3-4 times a month at least. Geez WTH happened!

    • Ditto that, Rob –

Another thing that happened and it depresses me every time I see it is that fast food workers seem to be almost all not just grown up adults but adults in their 40s or even older. I regularly see what appear to me to be people in their 50s and 60s at these places, manning the drive-thru.

      • The saddest one, Taco Time NW in North Bend WA, gal must have been pushing 70. As I’m leaving with my order she’s hanging up the apron & out the door with me. I get in my rig and next to me looks like a grandson in a barely hanging together well aged Camry collects granny and off they go.
J Christ on a pogo stick what a country.

    • I have Black Sbbath concert ticket stubs for 7.50 general admission. I freaked out over Rush finally going past 3 figures at 12 dollars .

      • The above figures of 7 or 12 dollars are les than “convenience fees” now when buying a concert ticket.
Not that I go to no smoking concerts anymore.

      • Hi Johnny,

I went to see Van Halen at the Capitol Center in DC circa 1983. I can’t remember what the tickets cost but we were high school kids and could afford them. I thought about going to see KISS when they toured last time; shitty seats in the nosebleed section were $200….

  13. (BTW: we just crossed $37T in nation a debt last week)
I copied this from a very astute reader response to a NY Times article:

(Letter to NY Times) Dear Sirs:
Please allow me to contradict your contention that Britain’s new Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rachel Reeves, should follow America’s supposedly successful formula set by Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen. In January 2020 the US Monetary Base was $3.4 trillion. In May 2024 it was $5.7 trillion, a $2.3 trillion increase. The Monetary Base is the so called “foundation” of the money supply, upon which the banks pyramid bank credit money. In January 2020 M2–checking, savings, and short-term CDs held in the banking system–was $15.4 trillion. In
November 2023 it was $21.0 trillion, a $5.6 trillion increase. In the first quarter of 2020 GDP was $21.7 trillion. In the first quarter of 2024 it was $28.3 trillion, a $6.6 trillion increase. It is clear that America’s so-called boom is nothing more than money printing by the Fed and credit expansion by the banks. Expect worst numbers this year, since the federal budget deficit, which will be funded primarily out of money printed out of thin air, will exceed three trillion dollars.

  14. ‘Could it be … inflation?’ — eric

In the late 1940s when my parents were at college, an ugly burst of double-digit inflation occurred after wartime controls were lifted.

It didn’t just happen out of nowhere. During WW II, the Federal Reserve ‘bought’ Treasury debt by creating new bank deposits out of thin air. For the first time, Treasury debt exceeded gold reserves on the Fed’s balance sheet. So OF COURSE inflation heated up, once the door of its cage was unlatched.

When inflation ripped again under Nixon, the ‘rents were hypersensitive to it, having seen that movie before. Whereas, not being privy to the household finances, young Lord Jim didn’t get what all the fuss was about.

Meanwhile, at social gatherings the adults (we sneeringly called them ‘the establishment’) bragged to each other about how much ‘equity’ they had accumulated as the price of their houses ‘went up’ in terms of greenback scrip — the wages of sin, as it were.

Today that whole rancid process of currency debasement has gone turbo. Asset prices escalated to the sky. Then the price of ‘stuff’ began to follow, as the shock from China entering the global economy as a low-cost producer began to fade.

Now Donnie Fubar has erected an iron curtain against Chinese imports. The price of ‘stuff’ and food is cranking like a mofo, as the value of scrip dollars gurgles down the toilet. What does Donnie want now? More and cheaper free money, at lower interest rates. This is how empires die, as America self-immolates.

  15. If the past 5+ years have proved anything, it’s that government lies about pretty much EVERYTHING, including war or even experimental pharma products made by Big Pharma, regardless of whether a governor or president has a “D” or “R” next to their name. However, it’s astounding how there are those who seem to think that government LYING about stuff is unique to Orange Man.

    • And corporate media isn’t much better. They’ve become little more than propaganda outlets for the federal government and advertisers such as Pfizer or Lockheed Martin.

  16. I keep a link to an inflation calculator handy. Watched Andy Griffith the other day where a drunken Otis rides into Mayberry on the back of a cow. He said he paid $20 for that horse (comedy gold). A quick click finds that $20 in 1965 is equivalent to $205.11 which is 925.5% cumulative inflation.

  17. Yes, they are lying. The statistics are COMPLETELY rigged. Pay VERY close attention to this little bit of information casually mentioned in this article:

“The latest data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics showed that “core” inflation, WHICH EXCLUDES VOLITILE FOOD AND ENERGY COSTS, rose 3.1% over the past year in July, ahead of June’s 2.9% increase.”

LOL. See, goyim? Pay no attention to those food and energy costs!! They aren’t counted in the official Soviet-rigged inflation numbers! Don’t believe your lying eyes!

Inflation is under control! We demand the Fed give us a rate cut (which is inflationary) to keep stock prices going up (which is inflationary)!

    LOL. What a fucking farce.

  18. “The government lies about almost literally everything, except perhaps what time it is…” Actually, they lie about that too: Daylight Savings Time (formerly known as War Time, which we’ve been on for decades).

As for inflation, I must give credit to RG for saying this two or three years ago. It was in response to someone in the comment section who wondered aloud when the next Scamdemic would be launched. Her response was something along the lines of, “They’ve already launched the next Scamdemic; it’s called inflating away the middle class.” She was right, and here we are all these years later and their inflation scam continues apace.

  19. When was the last time you even saw Ronald’s face at McDonalds?

Well, except for the donation box for the Ronald McDonald House commune.

And, make no mistake, if you’ve ever been to one, that’s exactly what it is all about.

    • I dunno about your neck of the woods, but here they painted all the MacDonalds a dark grey color with white outlines/borders. Makes them all look like a dreary soul-sucking prison.

    • I remember during vaccine scam how little Johnny wouldn’t be allowed to stay at clown house if him and his parents hadn’t taken fauci’s magic elixir. All the corporate cunts can go straight to hell.
Jay Leno’s joke MacDonalds strawberry milkshakes have 37 ingredients and strawberries and milk aren’t listed.

      • HA! “Jay Leno’s joke MacDonalds strawberry milkshakes have 37 ingredients and strawberries and milk aren’t listed.”

I may never forget that one. Thanks.
