I worry that this all just another piece of kabuki theater. Trump pretends to exit, stage left (from the war). He is perceived as “standing up” to Netanyahu, perhaps recovering some political capital. Then there is an attack – perhaps here – that can be pinned on the Iranian donkey. Cue Lee Greenwood and renewed support for the war (and Israel).
